Alex, Mikey and Gerard are the brothers of the band Gerard is the vocalist and Mikey does bass, During the shooting of the video all of the members got injured and the drummer got 2nd and 3rd degree burns on the back of his foot towards the ending of video
That's why he ran from the kit in the end of the video

I love MCR, but I don't think he is underrated. In fact, he has the credit he deserves... I think that (he is very good!) he didn't bring anything particular to the guitar world and that's why people don't talk about him a lot. Good songwriting as well, though

yes, some of the band members did get hurt during the making of this video! bob bryar (the drummer) ended up getting his leg badly burned, gerard way (the lead singer) popped his ankle after being tackled to the ground by frank iero (the rhythm guitarist), and ray toro (the lead guitarist) broke a few of his fingers. i think it would be worth it to check out the official making of video, if you want to know more about the song's meaning and all the behind the scenes action!

The album version of this track has a fade out with just the vocals and hammond organ and it's so beautiful

My favorite thing about this and video, are that this video was shot IMMEDIATELY after "Welcome to the Black Parade". Everyone one was super tired, and they did the whole video in one shot, destroying the float from Black Parade in the background. This video is easily in my top 5. 100% raw emotion.
You gotta do the whole Black Parade album, but if not then at least do “Dead!” and “Sharpest Lives”

I am 39 years old, and I spent a large part of my teens and twenties just trying to get heavier and heavier with my music I was taking in. So, there were a lot of bands that I didn't give much of a shot at after an initial entrance into what their style was. Bands like 30 Seconds to Mars, Coheed & Cambria, and My Chemical Romance, along with many, many others. Only over the last 5 years or so I became very bored and more matured about the lyrical content I was taking in with some of the music I was involved in. My Chemical Romance and Coheed & Cambria were definitely the frontrunners on introspective and experimental themes, respectively, that I began to introduce myself to and really opened me up into looking and a lot of the other Rock and metal that I had missed out on over the years. This also now happens to be one of my Son's favorite bands. Thanks for everything you do Alex and please slate some more video reactions for Coheed & Cambria!

The whole album is perfection! It created a whole fashion movement and epitomized emo culture. I love it so much still and I’m now 36. Stoked I grew up with all these iconic bands.

You gotta listen to Ghost Of You by My Chemical Romance. Everyone always clamors over The Black Parade album, but this is one of their most powerful songs imho. Powerful song, powerful video, a totally amazing experience.

One of my favorite things about the FLW video is that they filmed this sucker back to back with the WTTBP video; two videos, two days. The director, Sam Bayer, after hearing the bands thoughts on the second video/ song for the second single just said "We're gonna burn the fucker down". They filmed the Black Parade video and then burned it to ash, which is just beyond any form of intense and fits right in with their passion and drive that they bring to the band.
Thank you for reacting to these videos. When I see someone react so purely, it reminds me of the first time I heard these songs and was introduced to them. I can never quite relive those moments, but I get to watch others do it and it brings tears of joy to my eyes.
I saw their Black Parade Tour when this album originally came out. I cried when they played this live. I was so lucky to be there.

Everyone else has covered the injuries sustained while filming the video, but there's more that may interest you... the band had risen up in popularity really fast with their second album, Gerard kicked drugs and alcohol, they were touring basically non stop, then they had to write another album so they went and stayed at a notorious haunted mansion to write it for the spooky vibes.... but while staying there, Gerard (lead singer) had really bad night terrors of being choked or seeing his baby brother Mikey (bass) dying and he couldn't sleep - he talks about it at the beginning of "Sleep". Anyway, Mikey started sleeping in Gerard's room to help him through that, which is where the "I see you lying next to me" comes from. At the same time, Mikey was developing substance abuse problems from the sudden fame and having to perform on stage, which he actually got anxiety about - "a life that's so demanding I get so weak". He said that he wanted to quit the band and the lifestyle and this song was written while they worked through all that. The lyrics are like a back-and-forth between the brothers, arguing what will happen if he leaves, arguing what will happen if he stays.
But yeah, "I am not afraid to keep on living" was a mantra for me during my own dark days.
