@@ildiphoenix Look into collagen supplements, dry brushing, cold therapy or cold showers to get the lymph system flowing, vibration plates and rebounding and of course autophagy. You can also do wraps. Compress the skin, & close the empty space, so it can be encouraged to reduce back. Also make sure you're drinking lots of water to flush out any toxins that may be mobilizing from all the stagnant lymph once it starts flowing again. Maybe even a high quality vitamin e and vitamin c product, copper is good for the skin as well. I will admit age could be a factor working against you as well, especially if you've haa a lot of sun exposure on your skin over the years. But I hope you see improvements for all the hard work you put in!! Congratulations on gaining your life & mobility back!

At this point in my life the only thing I can basically eat is red meat. Everything else causes inflammation or makes me sick in one way or another. Vegetables on a regular basis cause oxalate overload for me. Fruit, causes gout. Red meat that’s all I can eat! And I’m doing well and feeling great.

You know your body best and if you have found a diet that helps you be well. You may want to discuss your limited diet with your physician as it can lead to nutritional deficiencies you and your doctor may want to look for.

Carnivore does not lead to nutritional deficiencies. It is the proper human diet. Just check all the resources about it. Dr. Anthony Chaffee is a good starting point.

I can eat potatoes if they've been refrigerated into resistant starch. Wheat is a killer. I stay away from grains. I would love to be completely on grassfed meats, raw dairy, not economical. I just know I do far better on a low carb, protien & sometimes going into ketosis diet. Mentally & physically, total game changer.

So I keep hearing Lipedema fat is resistant to weightloss. But now its suppsoedly helped by diet?

Lipedema disease is characterized by inflammation and fibrosis. One the reasons specific diet changes can unlock weight loss and reduction in lipedema tissue is that the anti-inflammatory diet reduces the localized inflammation and allows improvements to occur. All the information about lipodema diet is all about the keto diet which I am not an advocate. I was just diagnosed with lipedema and not overweight. I think I will stick to my mediterranean/peruvian diet, I think is more sustainable for me.

We recommend a modified Mediterranean diet for most women with lipedema. Mediterranean diet in our experience is more easily sustained. We also recommend avoiding all highly processed foods and limiting carbohydrates. Healthy fats like olive and avocado oils and quality fish chick and other protien. Wishing you the best of health.

Do you prescribe a food intolerance or food sensitivity test as part of your treatment of lipedema?

Dairy can be OK or some women can have trouble with Dairy products. You have to investigate it for yourself.
