I started feeling sore all over, then light headed and dizzy. I can't taste or smell for yrs. Called my dr. I have the flu. I have not been out in 8 days. I wouldn't even want to give the flu to ppl.

The point remains the doctor did do a test and as such she should have stayed at home with no contact with anyone till the test results come back. I also believe that even if you think you have a cold you should stay home and away from people till the cold or whatever, is over. No one should be taking any chances with the lives and health of others at a time like this.
Walmart has changed their policy on workers if they miss a serten amount of days they get fired doesn't matter what a dr. says

My husband had all the symptoms, we toke him to the hospital and he was tested .we came right home until the results were in .thank god it was negative. We are still staying home .
Thank you for doing the right thing. I work at a grocery store and I still work 40 hrs a week so thank you for keeping me and the other essential workers safe.

I wasn't feeling well for 2 weeks and I stayed home then went to the dr and he told me to assume I'm positive and self quarantine until my test came back. It took 13 says to get it back. I stayed home until I knew I was negative

She was contagious days up to weeks before the symptoms surfaced. So that’s that, it is what it is. But, if you’re not feeling well stay home.

Our oldest granddaughter got symptoms, saw her doctor and has been tested. Her husband had to leave work and come home. They are both in quarantine. She is the social coordinator and psychologist for the dementia ward at an assisted living center and he works for our country public works. They are not to have contact with anyone until her test results are cleared.
Fevers = being contagious. Always stay home until 24 hours after a fever has broken. CV or not, don't get others sick. I've always practiced this.
It's contagious before fever is part of the problem.
When ive had impacted kidney stones and my white count was down and I had a fever. And my friend has Lupus and sometimes she'll run a low grade fever. Neither is contagious.

When I was leaving our grocery store a woman came in coughing loudly . I was so glad that I was leaving . I would definitely stay at home if I was not feeling well.

What guidelines? According to what i saw in this video, her doctor told her he didn't think she had the virus! Did he give her any guidelines? Neither u nor know the answer to that question and i would guess the doctor will never say he didn't do this.

@@whatyoumakeofit6635 I am also an RN and you are talking about 2 VERY different viruses that are spread in VERY different ways. The Covid-19 virus is a droplet spread virus, meaning it gets spread when coughing, sneezing or just touching something after you touch your face/nose/mouth-all moist places then leaving that virus droplet on whatever you have touched. AIDS or HIV is spread by blood contact-you can't catch it passing someone that has it, or by shaking their hand, or by sitting/standing right next to them. It has to be intimate/blood/body fluid contact. No, sneezing/coughing is NOT the same thing. The 6 foot distance is because that is about how far the secretions from a cough or sneeze will go/travel.
There are LOTS of viruses that exist-here are a few you might have heard of; measles, chicken pox, the flu, colds, shingles(which is caused by and actually is the chicken pox virus that remains in your body if you ever have it-anyone who has not had the chicken pox or the vaccine and comes in contact with someone with shingles will get them), mumps, just what immediately comes to mind.
Hope this "conversation" has cleared out a few questions. BTW where did you get the idea/information people can't catch viruses? You might want to enlighten them as well.

This is what you do about the WALMART situation...
Ask your missus to prepare a casserole or the like for that lady. It should be in a disposable container, all you need to do is put it on her porch and ring the door. Make sure that you wear latex gloves and face protection for yourself. She needs a friend right now, her neighbors need an example to follow, the town needs to be there for one another.

I quarantined myself 3 weeks ago I’ve had a cold and spring allergies. No tests. I go to the store only when necessary. I’m 68 and have auto immune disease and lungs were infected with histoplasmosis when I was a child. Plz stay home ppl. Plz.

I had a fever yesterday and went to the doctor... tested positive for the flu... the c19 has not come back yet... I've been sleeping in my car and staying away from my 65+ mom

I believe we all need to assume that everyone is infected with COVID-19 and take as many precautions as we need to do. If I have to go to the store: groceries, walmart, pharmacy, I wear a mask, gloves and even though those precautions may not be keeping me from getting it, I am doing what I can while also doing what I must do. IF I were tested, however, I would NOT go out for any reason until I was informed of the results OR 2 weeks later.

I would definitely stay home because if I caused someone to be sick, I would be devastated. Also on the other hand people will label her and treat her badly because of this. It’s a sad situation already and some will not take heed!
This pretty much what happened to my daughter. Presented symptoms they wouldn’t test her, told her fever free for 24 hours you can return to work. She was fever free so returned to work. she works with the public, day later she is hit like a freight train and high fever and back to ER. Still wouldn’t test her but dr wrote her discharge papers describing as close as he could that he suspected CV. She was sent home to quarantine for 14 days. The first go round she was told she most likely didn’t have it, but had extreme fever deep dry cough . So she shopped a few times out of necessity but was very ill. But it is pretty criminal of the docs to send people off with a “probably not it” ... they have shared in the spread. cDC dictates what these dr can do and tied their hands as well. This started for her a month ago. So much wasted time. 4 of her co workers also ended up same symptoms and quarantined. She caught from a co worker that a family member had just returned from a cruise. That wasn’t enough to qualify for testing. Sorry so long .. be safe. Be cautious...

She spent 6 days home was told she could return to work so she did. She got hit again went to Er and was then self quarantined. What part was she irresponsible you prick!

When you have a fever or cold like symptoms you're supposed to stay home for 15 days or more it's supposed to be common sense when you have symptoms

Common sense a virus can’t just spread the way everyone is freaking out about. Only if you pass fluids to another person either from kissing or sharing a drink. AIDS is a virus, does it spread to another person if you shake hands? NO. Plus the coronavirus is a weak virus. It can be killed in 80 degree heat.

@@judy3460 You are mistaken. The coronavirus-19 is a new virus that has gone world wide. Doctors and scientist know very little about it much less what will stop it. This is why it is so deadly. It spreads easily through a population/ it takes about 10 to 14 days to manifest itself to the point that you will notice symptoms. It causes pneumonia whereby a respirator is needed to assist in breathing. The time on a respirator can be anywhere from 15 days to 35 days, depending upon the severity of the infection. When you combine this with the mass exposure then there will not be enough respirators or supplies to keep up with the mass pandemic of infection. It is faster to catch it than it is to cure it. And that is the rub.
I live in Oklahoma, too, and I had to stay home when a relative of mine came in contact with someone who had tested positive for the Coronavirus, so did my parents. However, we’re all humans and we all make mistakes. Now’s the time to love our neighbors as ourselves.

If anyone takes the law into their own hands, the law ceases to apply to them. The ONLY reason to break a law is to protect yourself and your loved ones...and you better be ready to accept the consequences because they will come. No one has the right to physically do anything to that woman. They can shun her, they can yell at her, they can be angry as hell at her, but they CANNOT take the law into their own hands!
That was a very thoughtless choice for her to make. I hope her actions do not cause deadly consequences for anyone.

She was contagious before she felt sick. Most will show no symptoms and at some point everyone will be exposed.

If I were sick enough to go to the doctor and be tested, I would stay home until I had results. For heaven sake, what has happened to common sense? Now we know why Walmart is limiting the number of people in the store.
Well our local walmart has set aside the hours for senior citizens to shop and for disabled ppl as well so they wont have to worry about getting sick..

The doctor told her he didn't think she had it. I would have stayed home but she made a mistake based on what the doctor told her. We depend on our doctors to give good instructions. We haven't lived thru this before. It's almost surreal. I understand it's a huge mistake. Apparently she helped in the community and had good intentions. Let's use this as a huge learning lesson and pray everyone is ok.

Dr should have told her to quarantine for 14 days.
14 days is meaningless as this virus is asymptomatic for up to 24 days . Meaning people can show absolutely no symptoms for 24 days and spread it.

Totally agree. This is the problem with shutting everything down. People are losing jobs, businesses, money, can't make rent or mortgage and running out of money. That causes anger and they take it out on the nearest target and demonize them. If those same people had stayed home they wouldn't put themselves where they could catch it. That said 99 percent of people will get through it just fine. It's totally overblown.

Honestly I'm hunkered down prepared months in advance, kids hunkered down....but dam wife won't stop going out, one day in last 20 she's listened..stayed in..and it's for dumb stuff, has zero to do with hoarding excuse, luxuries we don't need. All preping in the world, if one person won't listen..it's all useless. Hopefully kids don't lose both parents to covid for 6 pack of coolers and fresh steak kabobs cause frozen wasn't of her status.

I’m with you. I live here in Alabama and I heard there was a lady go into a grocery store that had it and she coughed and spit on stuff. I would say if that’s all true, she should be charged with attempted murder if nobody dies that was in the store at the time. The store did lock down the store and they threw away everything which was well over $30,000. Then they completely sanitized the store.
After the doctor test, she should have gone home and wait for the results.

If I were sick and was waiting on a test to confirm, I would have my butt at home ALONE.
This is how I handled the situation. I was told that I had been exposed to someone who had been exposed to someone who had been exposed to someone who was positive for COVID-19. I felt fine and everyone between me and the positive person all felt fine. But we still are got tested and are keeping in quarantine for as long as it takes to get the tests back and it be negative. By the way, as I was writing this the mailman brought a letter from the lab, my test was negative. I kind of hate to tell anyone that I got my negative results back. I have been enjoying the peace and quiet of being home alone with my three cats. I have spent the whole 13 days, watching homestead and farm videos, planning my own move out of the city. The lady in your town will probably regret her trip to Walmart for the rest of her like. I feel very sorry for her, as she may have live with the knowledge that she passed COVID-19 to her neighbors.

I'm staying home, self quarantined, I've been out for groceries twice since March 16 but I stayed away from people by 6 feet or more. I'll put it this way, end of November first of December I wasn't feeling good, so I stayed home, stayed away so I wouldn't infect anyone else, so for about 3 weeks I stayed put. My opinion, she was worried enough that she got tested, she should have self quarantined until she found out if she was or wasn't sick with it....

We had A similar thing happen in a town near us with a Lowe’s employee. They were working even though they had CV symptoms for two weeks. They have recently tested positive but they have exposed possibly hundreds of people to the virus.

I work 5 days a week in Seattle. I come into contact with 300+ ppl a week,at work alone. if you're sick stay the f home! The more ppl in my situation getting this ,the faster & more severe it will spread & be.

@Sharyn Eubanks it's through Walmart . com you can go to the site and make a account and shop online and they will let you pick it up or they will deliver. But they only go out a few miles. you can put in a pick up order and they will get your food and bag it and you pay online and then just go pick it up the time you choose and or wait for the email saying it's ready for pick up.
If she had taken the cv test from her doctor, she should have stayed home until she heard back from doctor. She took a lot of people’s health in jeopardy and was irresponsible. Just wrong

It’s unfortunate we HAVE to send our children to school when sick, as well as going to work ill...that probably is the reason for her outings...it’s a sad reality we live in when we, CANT take a sick day or have our children, COMPLETELY recover before being sent to get the WHOLE class sick.

Both of my daughters and my wife work in Doctors office.
We wear a mask anytime we are around others. We have our groceries etc delivered to our home.
We practice social distancing and stay home most of the time excluding work.
The good news is my wife has run out of items on her honey do list.😎

When this whole thing hit our shores and people were starting to get worried I got sick, I’ve smoked for 30 years and knew I had copd so I went to the hospital where they said I had copd and bronchitis. I put on a mask when I went in but thinking back my symptoms matched those of this virus. That being said I was too miserable to want to go to the store. By the way I have since quit smoking
