Nobody could touch Pantera at this time! They had a run of pure dominance
Ayyy 😎👉
Dominate dominate dominate
The fact that Dime walked by Kirk Hammet after Pantera's set and said "Follow that one boy" still gives me chills..
Is this legit ?
@@tha_akr9936 According to Vinny Paul's Drum Tech, John The Kat Brooks it is.
metallica at moscow 91 was sick but pantera was insanely sick
i could understand why / if he said it because you could see on all 4 guys face THEY KNEW THEY FUCKING NAILED IT ! the band knew , the sounds waves that were created on that stage travelled way way out deep into the universe . it could be 50,000 years from now and i hear DIME 3:49 for first time since tonite and i will be INSTANTLY drawn to that sound , theres no sound that gets me more fired up !
Kirk is nothing compared to Dime.
Rex brown never gets any credit it's all about dime and Vinny and phil. Rex browns bass playing here is phenomenal and he never gets mention in the reaction videos i have scene. Not knocking on the other band members but for once i would love to see Rex brown get some love
Phil said in an interview back then that to his knowledge Rex has NEVER missed a note..EVER...Ur welcome.keep it heavy
@@deanleonard9984 thanks never knew Phil said that
Yes i mean everyone praises the solo but if rex didn't follow the groove with such hability it wouldn't have to sound as good
It's the bass players curse my friend. You're invisible. Only Geddy Lee and Flea have figured out how to break it.
The bass in the remastered studio version is delicious it sounds so good
Probably the greatest live metal performance in history.

Everyone talks about Dimebag don’t get me wrong his solo was amazing, But nobody gives Vinnie any praise when he controlled that entire crowd of half a million people with his kick drum alone! That kick drum kicks in everyone loses their shit! Band included. RIP Boys!
I can just imagine being a young Russian you get this free concert with crunching guitars and this machine gun kick drum is controlling the tempo.
Yeah or Rex on bass either. But dude I'm a drummer and drummers and bass players don't give a shit especially if they KNOW they're tight and the backbone. They leave accolades to guitarists and lead singers they constantly have to be fed addolation. Honestly no bs.
Every single member of this band was stellar in this performance. The bass was outstanding too but no one mentions it.
The tightest group of musicians to ever step on stage Thomas P... period so yes Vinnie does not get enough praise
U can Google it i think 100k people were expected... and 1.5m showed up.. 50 people died at this concert
RIP Dime. 16 years ago tonight. I'll never forget this day and how I felt losing one of my heroes. Now, I get to teach my 11 year old son guitar, and Dime is his favorite guitarist ever :)

I was able to see them 4 times live 4 different albums and they rocked it everytime .
And just like that, the "Breakdown" came into existence, and the bar was set so high, that nobody has been able to touch it since.
This and maybe the breakdown from Angel Of Death by Slayer???
Amen.
Og loko, These colors don't run, I used to make out with medusa, I was once possibly maybe perhaps a cowboy king, Ruin.
Check out these songs and tell me the modern break down isn't alive and well
OG Loko has a better chorus imo than the breakdown, shayleys voice was so strong.

One of the if not THE greatest moments in Heavy Metal history.
greatest forsure
hands down best live performance in heavy metal
Fiero di averli visti con questa formazione!!!
The fact dimebag was jumping while doing his riffs, and was able to pull of a solo even better than the original, is mind boggling. Definitely see why he's in the top.
Dime is the top of the food chain
When others practice and struggle to be good .Dime does a black tooth and says sounded awesome so I just let it rip.
well the riffs are really easy to play
U mean the solo
Dime is the food chain.
3:45 decades of death metal, doom, djent, etc. but this still might be the heaviest metal ever
Heavier than stalinium
It’s amazing but not the heaviest and I say that with a heavy heart
This is as heavy as it gets everything nowadays is no where near even close to the realm of heaviness and soul pantera was on.
Djent is garbage
Born in 97. I love Mettalica and all metal in general even todays progressive metal. Still nothing comes close to the feeling Pantera gives me 🤘

It’s been 30 years since they recorded this song. Nothing, and I mean nothing, will ever come close to that guitar solo going directly into the heaviest breakdown in history. Nothing. Domination is the most fitting song title in history.

I imagine a huge American flag slowly rising with the chants of the crowd in its heaviness ! A perfect time for national pride. All countries would respect us because of Pantera !
My big brother was never really into metal...but when I showed him this, it became his go to motivator...he would blast this song any chance he could...he went missing a couple years ago...so every May 14, his bday, I blast this song for him...I know wherever he is, he can feel that breakdown 🤘🏼
I'm so sorry about your brother. That is scary and sad. I hope he is ok and that you see him again someday very soon, so you guys can blast this song together.
So sorry about your brother, buddy. I hope he comes home soon. Take care of yourself and your family. ❤
