Lyrics
Faster than a bullet
Terrifying scream
Enraged and full of anger
He's half man and half machine
Rides the Metal Monster
Breathing smoke and fire
Closing in with vengeance soaring high
He is the Painkiller
This is the Painkiller
Planets devastated
Mankind's on its knees
A saviour comes from out the skies
In answer to their pleas
Through boiling clouds of thunder
Blasting bolts of steel
Evils going under deadly wheels
He is the Painkiller
This is the Painkiller
there's enough metal in this song to build the fucking death star
Rick Gutierrez and cover that GD 2 meter hole
Couldn't have said it better! ;-)

My husband loved Judas Priest . We saw them 13 times through out our marriage. He passed on January 1, 2022. At his funeral I played his favorite song, Painkiller! Then again we played it at my daughters wedding 4 months later for him! Miss you David so much. Thank goodness i can still have a part of you through Painkiller!

@i'm only here for the beer why
How is this song crap? Arguably one of the most kick-ass and identifiable metal songs. Also part of one of the greatest, if not THE greatest, metal albums of all time.
@i'm only here for the beer You must be daft if you think this song is 'crap'. Rather than identifying what's wrong with it, though, you prefer to throw an insult towards it without any substence.
@i'm only here for the beer Rob Halford's voice is part of why Judas Priest is so famous/recognizable. Instead of using the stereotypical metal 'growling' and vocal tones that could be considered in that sort of range, Halford hits us with an opera-like high-pitched voice that suits this song and the Painkiller album in general.
@i'm only here for the beer If you don't like it,why you are staying here and don't leave?
This album grabbed all of us metalheads, turned us around and started spanking us hard.

My all-time favorite Priest song. Man I wish they made more music just like this.
This is not a joke, but when I moved out to go to college my roommate and I had an insane woman in the apartment underneath us. She would lose her mind any time either of us would make any noise of any kind, like walking, doing dishes, etc. Well, during the times when she would REALLY get on my nerves yelling and screaming at us, I would just turn my surround sound system on with the bass up all the way and blast this song.
