I am not worried about the rabbit hole jobs and schools. Either it can be modded in or be a future update. Considering the size of the team, Paralives seems to be focusing on what's important first, the basics. You can build up from a strong foundation and Sims 4 had a terrible foundation. So they are already ahead.
I definitely agree with you! alot people keep forget how the sims 4 got changed drastically from the beginning concept idea. I believe that's the main reason for why there's so many problems with how the sims 4 runs, because of the core coding was supposed to be for a completely different game versus the final results.
i actually like that we have dialouge options?? i feel like the only time we get to do that sort of thing in the sims 4 is during phone calls(?) ALSO pixadom is saur cute, its def something I wouldve played with my friends when club penguin and animal jam were popular!
I just found about this game and i am so excited for it to come out already 😭😭😭 for me sims 4 is a lucid dream that does not exist this is what we deserve
My theory for how the height sliders will work in Paralives while keeping animations fine is they will essentially "magnetize" joints and features to specific areas they need to reach in each animation. Example: instead of animating a hug exactly, posing the skeleton throughout each movement...they assign the hand to make its way up toward the shoulder joint, and keep the feet anchored to rhe ground by the balls of the foot so one skeleton might raise up on its toes to reach the taller person's shoulders while the tall one bends their knees to put their chin on the shorter one's shoulder.
Ooh, that's super interesting. I wonder if Sims is just stuck using an old animation system and it's too late to change, since I imagine that idea would make any animation 10x easier :O
OMG the house creation, like the two steps and depressed areas along with non grid stairs? I am so excite. Customization to those levels is always desired and color wheel, yes, it should be standard. The cartoon/realistic look of the characters with an almost borderlands sort of feel is also really cool. I dig the art style. I can also see a zillion mods in the future for textures and such. This looks awesome. Also I'd actually buy it instead of buying base and then acquiring the DLC for sims from ... other means, hahaha. Seriously 40 bucks for multiple DLC's is ridiculous. It's also always companies who have more than enough to stay competitive who tend to nickel and dime people do death.
Not totaly accurate claim on sims NPCs never asking player anything. If I recall correctly, in sims 3 NPCs do ask you on a date, birthday party, night out, other activities... At least that is what I got in my playthroughs...
i could watch hours of commentary on this game. sm people miss the content made public over time and don’t realise how many features are in their notion roadmap! thanks for the coverage, rlly well made video
This is the best look at Paralives I have seen from any UA-camr! I've seen all of this but I just enjoyed your commentary so much, thank you for sharing!
4:22 - it's "Paradimes" if I remember right. 8:41 - really nice sounding language 10:49 - yay ! 12:49 - taketh mah moneyeh ! 13:28 - the 2025 is closer when it was in 2019 13:56 - it was surprising how much this project has developed and how it gains more and more momentum.
Tbh just the fact that they take the time they need and that you can see how much love they put into their development makes it instantly better than Sims4. Really digging the art style and looking forward to this game!
I’m ok with rabbit holes if it’s open world, my poor little laptop will probably need the break from loading the world lol. I also wouldn’t mind if there was like, idk, like a 15$ dlc that adds a new world, or like a 5$ dlc that just adds some clothes and items. But knowing that there won’t be any fills my heart with joy
Maybe it will be published in the december of 2025. I am so excited, but I want to be realistic. It is better to get a full and detailed game than something shallow and buggy.
OKAY BUT THE COLOR WHEEL?!? and the more in depth/storytelling feeling it has? Sims is great, but it always felt like a dollhouse game. Also, a lot of the things she complains about the sims is now in game, or updated (except you have to pay, which sucks a lot considering it costs hundreds to buy all the ad ons)
Oh that's good to hear!! I've seen some stuff about Sims trying to add better stories but I always saw them as a part of a pack lol, yeaaaaah (': The CAS stories were a great step though, and the new quest tab thing

I have a feeling every sims player will be buying this game and the company is going to get their money without needing to make paid expansions

This game is what 8 year old me wanted sims 2 to be, im so excited

yep, that's pretty much how they're doing it! its called procedural animation.
yes the handshake bug short video demonstrates this well!

Paralives is actually if sims 2 has the actual dlc. I am glad that they got inspired by sims 2.

You have a great taste for music 😉
“oh that was definitely a slur” 😂😂
This is gonna be the true succesor for The Sims 3 for me, glad I never played The Sims 4 and will jump straight to Paralives

Will there be neiborhoods/cities/worlds? And will you be able to make your own?
I kind of want to know how large the game file size is going to be. Let's hope it's small...
You are adorable, great video
