As long as Paralives or Life By You keeps their games interesting and actually working with very minimal bugs and don't just keep adding stuff for us to buy for a money grab without making sure its playable then these games will do way better than Sims
I’ve been looking through all the stuff for life by you and I’m actually very excited! I don’t like the art style as much so I paid less attention to it, but it’s coming out soon and they’re doing some things differently. Life by You and Paralives both have a lot of potential!
The pool that’s not inground though 😍 idk why but I love it. The objects they’ve made like plastic chairs and that pool just feel realistic cause they’re objects you actually see all the time.
Yeah it looks so good! I think the developers are actively trying to improve on things the sims is missing too. Hopefully we’ll get a release date this year!
back in the 2000s there were a couple "life sim" sims knockoffs, but most didn't actually try to copy the sims with really being a life sim and focused on some specific thing. People didn't want that and they all failed. I'm so glad were getting like 4 life sims soon. This can only be a good thing. Either Sims 5 is garbage and we get at least 1 good life sim alternative, or Sims 5 is forced to compete and the competition utlimately makes them make it good. Either way its a win win. Also sims players have always conflicted over whether they want a realistic art style or a more stylized cartoony one. With paralives having a very cartoony look and the others looking more realistic, everyone can be happy.
I’m really hopeful that between Paralives, Life by You, and InZOI we get something good! They do offer a good variety so there’s a lot of potential. The Sims 5 could be really hit or miss. A lot of people don’t seem optimistic, but EA has the most to build off of. I think if any of the new titles have success before the release of sims 5, it would be even more of a push for their team to put more effort into it. Overall, exciting things happening in the life sims category!
I'm so excited and hopeful for Paralives every time a video about it comes up in my recommended. Even if it doesn't end up being as extensive as the Sims or as successful, I think it'll still be a great and notable game in the Life Sim genre! I am going to spend so much time in both the Paramaker and Build mode one day lol.
For what it's worth, they mentioned that all the outfits in the Vintage Vibes development update (a post to their patreon that they've since unlocked so folk like me who can't afford the patreon can read it) will be available for all life stages except babies and toddlers. i.e. at least for some outfits might not be specific child or teen options but instead just using the same clothing across ages (which makes a lot of sense since they're already needing to adjust the height of the clothing due to the height sliders) Really like the looks of this game, hoping live mode which we know least about vibes with me as much as the art style does.
It’s interesting if children and elders can wear some of the same clothes. I wonder if that will apply for everything or if some clothing will be age specific. And I agree! The art is very cozy imo. I’m definitely on the picky side of liking games that are nice to look at and I’m loving the art style.
Like this game has HUGE potential just because they listen to the community. They improve stuff. BUT we have to remember that because its a new game they might not have thay much choice at first. They dont have the same budget as ea. I dont even know where eas money from the sims is going xD. But if we support paralivws and buy it while its early access etc. they can make so much out of it. And thats the thing. I trust them with my money way more than EA. I know they will give back in return. Like look at their art and music style already. Its so much more enjoyable, pleasant. Cozy, soft but still adding so much more detail to give it a cute realistic vibe. While eas stuff just looks ao unpleasant. Like they forgot to finish it? And we know with the management they have that they had to cut short on a lot. Paralives seems like it was made with much more love. We just need to keep it mind that we might atill have some disappointments. It might feel empty. But idc i want to support them.
Absolutely. The sims 4 was released in 2014 - aside from whatever time was put into making it, they’ve also had a full decade for improvements. I don’t expect Paralives to be released with the same amount of content as that. But as you said, the team listens to feedback and I think the game has a lot of potential and can continue to grow after early access as well. Don’t know when it will be, but very excited for the release :)
i’ve never watched your videos before but already i’m gonna subscribe, your voice is so nice and you explain things so clearly and you’re not screaming (which is great)
First Life By You, now Paralives. As much as I like playing Sims 4 (first got hooked with Freeplay, also played a little Mobile and Simcity Build It), I have to admit the gameplay is kind of underwhelming. And after a while I end up deleting my saved profiles and starting over again. I'm thinking of making a save with one sim at each age group in order to keep myself invested in TS4, though these other two games do seem to pique my interest.
I really want to like TS4 and every couple months I try playing it again, but it just doesn’t do it for me. I think when they removed the open world aspect is a big reason why they lost me. And other things that just felt worse in 4 compared to 3.
if a company just combined the lore and gameplay that made the sims 2 amazing with lovely building of the sims 4 it would be amazing game. of course taking either of those above and beyond even better
It's weird how defensive and combative a lot of people are in your comments. Are they they trying to justify sinking so much money into EA? Toxic people who are just looking for a fight? EA stooges being paid to talk trash about the game? (If so, lol, people don't read comments that much). It's weird that there's so much negativity. There's something about the way everything is coming together that I can tell the team is putting so much love into this game. They're trying to make it perfect and elegant and something about the game brings me peace. Of course, I mostly just need a house building game, so I look forward to that the most. I already felt like building in the Sims felt like fighting overly rigid programming to feel like you outsmarted it to get something that should have been included officially into the base game (even in a later release).
I was surprised as well. I made this out of my excitement for Paralives, not to trash talk the Sims. It’s okay though! Can’t make everyone happy on the internet. I agree. There’s something about Paralives that feels like it’s going to be great. I’m usually not a huge builder in life sim games, but this one makes me want to build more. And the art style of it feels very comforting. I’m looking forward to the release, and I don’t mind waiting.
I question 2:40 the most , how would the animations work on things like this , creating a build mode is the easiest part but creating live mode is truly the hard part and most important part.
It seems to me that furniture like tables and couches that can be adjusted still only adjust to a certain scale since you interact with them, where windows and curtains have more range since they are just for looks. It will definitely be interesting to see how they manage this though!
I cannot wait for this game. Not in an impatient hurry up developers kind of way. I appreciate that theyre a small team and dont want to rush the release and take their time, and I prefer them to do this, but damn I still cannot wait. I hope that it'll be ready this year for early release

Things i dislike: 1. The table and chairs doesnt connect to each other, so we'll need to move them one by one 2. The height looks weird as it is just stretched version of default height 3. Shoes clipping to the floor 4. Parafolk turns white for a split second when eating
This game looks amazing. One of the main things I like about the sims is the humour though. If this is all the game is giving I think it will still be lacking. However the potential is encouraging 🥰
The build mode for this looks amazing, I’m glad to see this cause EA needs some competition to step up their game. Plus the bugs that have been ignored and not fixed in the sims is painful to say the least. I’m not a fan of the characters in this, they look like cartoon cutouts, but I’m a big user of mods to make my sims look life like, so I’m picky. Overall pretty cute
Build mode is one of the features I’m most excited for, there’s so many options! And they seem pretty easy to use. I wonder if there will be mods in Paralives to make the Parafolk look different. I like their cartoony style, but you’re definitely not alone with it not being your favorite.
I think people who have already left sims 4 and gone back to sims 3 will like LBY. EA know the sims is not going to dominate anymore so they are flogging the Sims 4 to get as much as they can out of it before the next simulation game is released. They have no intention of fixing the bugs. They will release packs and kits until they completely break the game. Then they will abandon the Sims altogether.
Truth be told, Sims4 has it share of problems, but at least i know what i get, and the custom content is insane. Love my cc. I will have play life by you and paralives a while before i can give a true apology. I say give it time and i will see for me.
Thing is, Sims 5 is going that route on what Paralives does especially on build mode and Inzoi is doing it too and more. So they lost that uniqueness in that aspect.
From what the sims 5 has shown of build mode, I still feel like Paralives has more. Sure, sims 5 is still early development so that could change! I’ve just kinda lost faith in EA after sims 4. Ready to try something new. And something about InZOI doesn’t appeal as much to me. I would LOVE if all of the new life sims that come out in the next few years were great and new. There’s a good chance I’ll try all of them. Personally, I’m just most excited for Paralives right now.
@@Cibbic True. While it’s unfortunate that it took games like Paralives to make EA try harder, truly hope the Sims 5 brings some new and fun back to the series. And that they do more than just copy other games
Do you mean in popularity or quality? I agree the sims will remain the dominant game in the life sim category for a long time, but I think a game could be better overall. And I like the sims! I just don’t like how greedy EA has become. Ready to try something new
@@Sim-dil-e-icious I liked the Sims 3 much more than the Sims 4. I played 3 much more than 4. Overall do I like the category? Yes. And the Sims is the only real game in the category right now. But when I pick up the Sims 4, I never play for long because it doesn't really do it for me. If you don't want to listen to a video where The Sims 4 gets some heat, don't click on it! So simple.
Hmm it seems indie games have been outselling and out performing AAA games recently, maybe this one can do that in the life Sim category! It's a big ask but not impossible
@@MissKatonikTV Exactly, plus they know what we want, what we need, they're real people like us. I don't even think EA plays sims 4 themselves anymore, otherwise, they wouldn't release half the bs they have.
Yes!! I’m so happy the team made that decision. And I don’t understand why some UA-camrs are acting like it’s a bad thing. You 100% can get a great game without micro transactions
All of these assets have been shown and reshown for the past 5 years this game has been in development, and currently the devs are making $30k a month. Paralives screams startup scam.
30K a month split between 11 people really isn’t even a livable wage. I feel like they have done a lot, now if the game wasn’t out in another 5 years I might have questions.
30k a month for 11 people is less than 3k per person, and thats only if you dont even consider tax or other overheads for the business. Businesses need money to run, even if everyone is working from home, there are still loads of expenses (insurance, equipment, cloud srorage, software, etc). The software licences alone cost a fortune. I know that having studied and worked in graphic design/animation. So no. I dont think it's a scam. I also know that what they've accomplished in the time frame is realistic. Eric Barone took 4 to 5 years to create stardew valley, he was working alone but stardew is not as complicated as paralives.
@zoieuwu a game like this doesn't take 5 years to make. No Man's Sky was made in 3 years by 4 people. We've been shown nothing new. The same videos have been recycled for years lmao

BUT if you don't like it then, there are other life-sim game option that you could choose from: Life By You, InZoi, AlterLife, Tiny Life, Vivaland, The Rachers: New Beginning, and The Bustling World, etc. Btw, about" The Bustling World" its trailer just came out and it is made by a couple, both a game dev. According to the article that I've read, that game are a mixed of a life-sim genre, with an open-world RPG, an tycoon game, farming game, etc. Also, it's theme is based on an old Chinese country dynasty-ish...
@@Sim-dil-e-icious please read my comment again before going off about nothing 🤝
@@ZoieUwU true Sims 5 showed little but I fear they will eventually show much of the same. That's why people were like Sims 5 is copying Paralives
@@Cibbic True. While it’s unfortunate that it took games like Paralives to make EA try harder, truly hope the Sims 5 brings some new and fun back to the series. And that they do more than just copy other games
I hope the Sims five releases… ever
I don’t think this game is real but if it turns out to be I’ll be sure to buy it :)
They just announced a live mode showcase they’re doing tomorrow!
I will probably get it, but that doesn’t mean I think it’s better than the Sims
It looks great and fun, but I’m still gonna be playing the Sims
Bruc why for me it says the game will be released in 2025
I made this video before they announced the release date!
Sounds too good to be true.
Realistically speaking, nothing will surpass The Sims. But it's always good if other people try so that EA doesn't feel like they're completely safe
What makes me glad is that I don't have to buy the DLCs. Just the game... EA has become just terrible with all the micro transactions
Yes!! I’m so happy the team made that decision. And I don’t understand why some UA-camrs are acting like it’s a bad thing. You 100% can get a great game without micro transactions
But paralives ain’t that good better then the sims but it’s something better gots to be ion like how it run or looks
So far, what the Sims has that Paralives doesn't is a sense of humor.
bloxburg
I don't think a scammer would put that much effort into a scam
@zoieuwu a game like this doesn't take 5 years to make. No Man's Sky was made in 3 years by 4 people. We've been shown nothing new. The same videos have been recycled for years lmao
@z.6480 it wouldn't be the first time. Game start up scams happen frequently.
Im sorry but not with that art style
I love the art style! I don’t understand what people dislike about it
@@ZoieUwU it just not my cup of tea, that’s all.
To me it looks very weird how the world looks so 3D and yet the Paraguys look drawn. It’s not meshing well.
They looked so cozy tho so I kinda like it as an artist myself there is nothing wrong with it.
But still, I personally like Paralives, Vivaland, The Ranchers, and InZoi to be honest. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
@@frncnrztrrgjvr1518 oooh I hadn’t heard of the bustling world, I’ll have to check it out!
The art design is a turn off to me
Nothing is better then sims. The new games coming out are lacking so far
All the clothing and Art work looks woke though.
Paralives looks like a 5 year old drew the graphics. I’ve been playing the sims since the first one and won’t buy this. (That’s just me though)
Not with those graphics lol
Sounds like a nothing burger.
Great video, your eyes are GORGEOUS. You’ve got a new sub
Thank you
