I was 12 years old, in 1976 when this song first came out, and I was blown away!!! Even today, 44 years later, I still get goosebumps! Watching people hear it for the first time reaffirms my love for the song!

This came out in 1975 when I was 12, and it's still one of my favourites. I found out years later that Freddy wrote it around the time of his "coming out", and the references to death were about him "killing" his "old self" that had conformed to his family's expectations, and letting his "real self" come forth. Thanks so much for reviewing!
Just remember it is a drama, not a documentary, so should be viewed as taking a whole lot of literary license, with a lot of facts mixed up or just wrong. But it is a fun movie and I really enjoyed it.

If you want to see more Queen, try "Who wants to live forever " off their Highlander album. It will blow you away. I just saw your reaction videos today and appreciate your perspective of different eras of music. I was raised in this time and heard many of the greats, but if you liked this era and the era of The Righteous Brothers, try Louis Armstrong, " It's a Wonderful World ". These are truly amazing songs.

Freddie was so far ahead of his colleagues then, which this was released in 1975, and he would still be leaps and bounds ahead of his colleagues now.
