@@alberto-os1bx Yes. You haven't heard any symphonic metal bands. Queen did just the one song where "From opera to rock to opera again to heavy metal to folk-rock again" applies. Nightwish etc do that in EVERY song and have been for almost 30 years. So it isn't rare.
Unrivaled? I guess, The Beatles, Pink Floyd or Rolling Stones have a few words to say about that🤣 But yeah, Queen is without a doubt a top notch, very creative band.
@@generalsaufenberg4931 You're right, of course. They are all great artists. But I meant more Queen has a memorable glam rock style and they already stand out a lot in this specific genre of music.
Hmmm… yeah, as a label “Mozart” but what would that make of Bach, Beethoven, Hayden, Handel etc? And then there’s the sheer volume of classical music… hundreds of pieces that did not rely on words for “literal” meaning… Just saying, I went thru my Rock period and my Latin (music) period but the bulk of work that one can go thru from Back to Stravinsky does make Rock seem like a “blip” in the musical universe…
Yeah, when only Dukes and Archbishops were paying for - incidental - music… the financial impetus to write music was sufficiently meager to convince the Best they should compose the BEST! Today, Muscian’s get paid millions for every tune they churn out in composition AND performance… so there is little time for quality, consideration or experimentation.
The look Queen was sporting in those days , skin tight bellbottoms etc... was spawned from the glam/hard rock look of the seventies that even spilled into and influenced the early days of heavy metal especially the hair metal of the 80's. Queen has influenced many areas of music and has mad respect in all quarters.
@@mnomadvfx Of course, Queen drew from many diverse influences in terms of their sound and look changing like chameleons all along their career, my point is that they were full fledged hard rockers especially early on in their run, they took and gave a lot but everything they did was uniquely their own at the end of the day.
I'm 46 years old and roughly a good 35 of them since a was a child due to circumstances in my life I have fought the temptations of committing suicide. About the only reason that kept me from killing my self is thinking about the pain that my mom would suffer from that. I knew other family members would also suffer but the one I really didn't want to suffer was my mom. That part that says "if I'm not back again this time tomorrow carry on" reminds me of those times when I came close to doing it and wishing my mom just carried on with life as nothing really mattered. Needless to say I have shed more than a few tears listening to this song
Loved your reaction. This one was wrote by Freddie Mercury (the lead singer) and it was basically 3 songs put into 1. It starts with a ballad style which moves into opera style and then to a rock section before finishing with the ballad style. As for the meaning of the song, that is highly contested and different people have their own understanding of what is meant in the song. Freddie would never say what he wanted the song to mean, he was one to let the listener have their own opinion of what a song meant. The other members of the band are: Freddie Mercury, (Lead Singer, Piano and rarely you will see him play Guitar); Brian May (Lead Guitar, Vocals and the one with the big fuzzy hair, it is like that even now); Roger Taylor (Drums and Vocals); and John Deacon (Bass Guitar). As for songs to listen to there are too many but a good start is the Live Aid 1985 Concert Set which is 20 minute long with 6 of their songs. There is a 7th song with just Freddie and Brian which they did later in the night. Songs there are: Bohemian Rhapsody, Radio GaGa (song that Lady Gaga got her name from), Hammer To Fall, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions. The extra song being Is This The World We Created? Other songs Another One Bites The Dust, It's A Kind of Magic, I Want It All, No-One But You, Bicycle Race and about 100 other great songs.
When you know what the song is about, and who it is written for, it becomes easier to understand, and all the words make sense. If it makes you cry, pulls an emotion, it is even better. Never be sorry for your tears, your tears are from who you are, your heart and soul, we all know and appreciate our world which makes them.
There is only ONE person who knows what this song is about, and Freddie NEVER explained it to anybody. ANYBODY who claims to know what this song is about is full of BS.
@@linusromey561 I agree. Lots of people try to make this song "mean" something. I've always just heard it as a story, like any other story: Boy screws up and kills someone, regrets it, gets caught and tried, then is going to have to face punishment and gets mad about it. It's up to everyone to decide for themselves what they experience in any song.
@@rastiga9196 Bohemian Rhapsody was released in 1975. The first cases of AIDS were not reported until 1981. Freddie was not diagnosed with HIV until 1987.
The song is even more impressive if you listen with headphones, you get the full impact of their special sound effects. This video was made in 1975 when "glam rock" costumes and long hair were in style.
Most authentic reaction I've seen in forever! This masterpiece has the ability to twist your emotions from the inside out, you can't stop it and it's very OK! I'm very sorry about your heavy heart, I will pray for happier days for you and your family! A hug to you, from someone far away who cares! 💞
Rhapsody means all different styles of music. This video changed the music industry forever! A few years after this song, MTV came out and became an all-music video music channel.
Wonderful heartfelt reaction to this great song. I will say that this is probably the furthest thing from disco as it can be... Thank you for doing this one! Have a great day!
Beautiful Reaction. You have given me my first witness of Russian raw emotions. Never met or interacted with a Russian before I’m my life. This was great. God Bless and thank you for sharing : )
A rhapsody in music is a one-movement work that is episodic yet integrated, free-flowing in structure, featuring a range of highly contrasted moods, colour, and tonality. An air of spontaneous inspiration and a sense of improvisation make it freer in form than a set of variations.
Somebody To Love - HD Live - 1981 Montreal queen at it's absolute best... you wont ever hear even today a band sounding as good as they do the didnt even have Auto tune back then... can also check out love of my life live again in rock in rio concert singing to 250,000 none english speaking crowd who sing back the lyrics perfectly.
I tear up at this song. It's so well done by one of the best and most inventive bands ever. Just listen to almost anything Queen and see what kind of magic they gave. Their Live Aid concert is amazing. So many bands gave so-so performances and Queen just blew everyone's minds.
No need to apologize. Queen makes epic music. It's funny you mention that it's like from an opera, because the album that this was on was literally called "A Night at the Opera." Check out their Live Aid performance. Only a 20 minute set outside in the middle of the day with no stage lights, and it's still considered one of the best live performances ever. Freddie Mercury is, in my opinion, the best front man in rock n' roll history.
you have seen the Power and Glory of Queen and Freddie, what more can be said, i am sure freddie and the band are just loving that they have touched your heart and soul, thats what they do, Queen is a Genre of their own, they are everything
Simply the greatest song ever by the greatest band ever. Nothing like it before it & nothing like it since & will stand the test of time forever. Freddie Mercury was a genius by combining 3 different songs into one. Whatever it means, I don't know & don't care. Just listen and enjoy.
you should check out the crowd singing this at Hyde Park. they were playing random songs on tge speakers before the band Green Day came out and..... 65,000 sang this song with no prompting....20 years dead and Freddie still commands a crowd. AAAAYYYYYY OOOOOOHHHHH
Freddie Mercury, Queen's (late) lead singer was a fan of opera, ballet, choir music, classical music, showtunes... it was his extraordinary vision of making a song that was a 'mock opera' in 1975. He wrote the basic structure, and then just kept adding layers and layers of vocals in the studio until this grand sound emerged that made 'Bohemian rhapsody' a stellar track and masterpiece. This 4th Queen album 'A night at the Opera' was one of the most expensive records ever made at that point. At the time, there was concern cos the song was 6 minutes long, it may not have been suitable for radio... but Queen persisted and it got such a massive response that a music video was made to promote it. Freddie asked for a shot of the 4 members singing to mimic the cover of their 2nd album 'Queen II' and make it 'come alive'... 'Bohemian rhapsody' proved worth the cost - it went to #1 all over the world in 1975 and made Queen superstars after years of struggling to make a career in music. After Freddie Mercury's death in 1991, the comedy movie "Wayne's World" had 'Bohemian rhapsody' on its soundtrack and the single became a top 10 hit again in 1992... And again in 2018 after the release of the biopic movie 'Bohemian rhapsody' starring Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury.
While I like a lot uninterrupted music that I love (like this fawsome song), I watch reactions out of curiosity for what others people think of the things that I love and despise, to check another perspective. She could react only with her face and talk about it later, but I think pausing and comenting with the first things that come to their minds is a very good way of react to things. If I want to listen the song uninterrupted, well, I go and listen the song by myself.
Queen was the first group to use video effects in their music video and the first group to do a 6-minute song of this kind with the opera put in grate reaction.😁👍
OMG This is amazing watching someone experience Bohemian Rhapsody for the first time. And when the beat dropped at the 9:30 mark she had the very same reaction of anyone ever 😆
The beginning of the song is all Freddie Mercury, harmonizing with himself on multiple tracks. When he wrote this song he was actually working on three different songs when he had the genius inspiration to combine them into this epic masterpiece. Nothing like it before or since.
Please don't ever apologize for your tears and all the beautiful emotion pouring out of from this beautiful music... Music is a universal language that touches everyone so let it pour out of you and never apologize... 💜
I have seen many reactions to this but yours as to be the best so far. I am proud to be British and growing up with queen music in my love RIP Freddie Mercury.
Thank you for such a great reaction. It's said, 'Bo-heem-i-an' 'Rap-so-dee', I hope that this helps? This came out in October 1975, and was number 1 in the charts for four months in the UK.
Bohemian Rhapsody is pronounced as "Bo-he-me-an Rap-so-de". Queen is a British rock band formed in 1970 consisting of: Freddie Mercury - Lead vocals and piano John Deacon - Bass guitar Roger Taylor - Drummer and vocals Brian May - Lead guitar and vocals Freddie is the composer of Bohemian Rhapsody. He never explained what it was supposed to mean or what his thought was as he wrote it. He wanted each listener to decide what it meant for themselves. He did admit that it is composed of 3 different songs that he had been writing but could never seem to finish. So he decided to mash them all together and add some bridges and transitions to make one song.
Please don't feel sorry about crying! Tears are good when it comes to thinking of dear people and family when they are far from us. Missing our parents is a sign of love! Great song, great band, great Freddie!!!❤
For those frustrated at the amount of pausing she does please understand something. There are two reasons. First, they have pause the video in order to avoid a copyright violation. They are using content that is not theirs so if they do not change it at all it will get flagged. UA-cam is very strict about that. The second reason is so the video can be monetized ( ability to make money off ads). You will see that most all of her videos are over 8 minutes long. That is because it enables ads during the middle of the video called "mid-rolls") in addition to having them at the beginnings and ends of videos. It takes a lot of time and money buying equipment and making reactions. Those are Google’s rules.
True. It also puzzles me that people could look at a video and take the time to complain about the contents not being exactly to their taste... Who does everyone think they are!? There are enough options on the internet for everyone to be pleased, so why people can not just move away from the things they don't like (without broadcasting their opinions), I'll never understand.
Briefly looking through the comments and haven’t seen anyone point out that this was also a self portrait by Freddie Mercury. His personal arch of conflicts of family, his first marriage, and finally coming to accept himself in the final piece of the song.
An amazing song in three parts 1 he killed a person, pulled his trigger now he's dead, and is going to jail saying goodbye to his mother. 2 is the court case with everyone arguing. 3 is him realizing that he is going to prison. It's one of my favorite songs of all time. Love yah
The most iconic band and musicians that created the most iconic song ever that will never be duplicated and broke the mold on how music is done.. everyone in that band are true legends.. but this song stands in a category of it's own being a rock opera that even today people know this song.
A rhapsody (I am trying to keep this as simple as possible) is a piece of music that contains a few different aspects of a theme or a few songs that are of a related topic that all work together to create a cohesive story and there will usually be no chorus. Bohemian refers to being different, usually in an artistic way. Freddie had three songs that he had never finished that followed the same theme so he put them together to form this song. As far as the meaning of the song is concerned, Freddie never said, he wanted to leave it up to the listener to decide what it meant to them. As you experienced, you found a piece of yourself and your life in this song so you reacted perfectly. Thank you for your reaction.
“We will Rock you”/“We are the Champions” Song runs together is another one of their great songs which is played quite a bit in a lot of sports activities because of the words. Great reaction🙏🏼🌹💕
Congratulations, you found a band you will want to listen forever. For your next reaction, I suggest "Somebody To Love - Live In Montreal 81", you'll see them a decade later, on stage (it's very different from the studio version) and you'll be able to spot some glaring differences and the way they evolved since Bohrap. That, and the fact it's one of the best Queen's performaces EVER. You'll see, there is a motive for it to have so many views. And then, for the next one after that, I suggest "Queen in Live Aid", it's a short 20 min performace, but they totally put that entire thing down. Just imagine real big names were there, like Elton John and David Bowie, and no one could match Queen that day. On the band itself, we have Freddie Mercury on vocals and piano (you will probably recognize him better when you see him with a mustache. He is, even today, considered one of the best frontmans of the world). He's was born in Zanzibar, met the others at uni in London (he's graduated in Art and Graphic Design, and he's the responsible for the logo and a lot of Queen related arts). Sadly, he died from a pneumony aggravated by AIDS in 1991. However, just a week before dying, he was still singing and recording, songs like The Show Must Go On and Mother Love (Brian May had to finish the vocals for him, because he died before finishing) were recorded with Freddie literaly in his deathbed, by his own wish. Kind of a big lesson of resilience for those singers who cancel shows for the most insignificant motives... However, different from other bands, the frontman is just a puzzle piece: The others are equally important for Queen's success, in every aspect. They all had input in almost every song, and to put anything in a Queen's album, you would have to fight for it, to convince the others your idea was better than theirs. This made the songs musically perfect, and because each had a different taste in music, everyone who listen to them will like it somehow. This and the fact every single member of the band was a genius in their own right: So, we have Brian May on guitar and second vocals... Fun facts about this guy: The hair is natural, and today, as a 74 years old, he still uses it that way, now all white. He created that red and black guitar himself as a teenager, and alongside Freddie, was the main songwriter of the band (they competed, that led to many brilliant songs and hilarious stories). He's a certified genius with a PhD in astrophysics, worked with NASA on the New Horizons project, and wrote the manual they use to calculate the movemment of space dust. That, and he invented the stereoscopic, something you use for stereo photography. Oh, and has an amazing work saving wildlife with the Save Me Trust project. And still plays with Queen, has a solo project and always plays alongside other bands. Yeah, the guy is a total multitasker and still going as we talk. Then we have Roger Taylor on drums and second vocals (he is the responsible for this very high falsetto you hear). As a songwriter, he's the main responsible for songs like "Radio Ga Ga" (the song that inspired Lady Gaga to create her artistic name), "Innuendo", "A Kind Of Magic" and "I'm In love With My Car" (where he played all instruments). Away from Queen, this blond multi instrumentist was the main singer and guitarrist (he's good, in a different style from Brian) of The Cross, and now has a solo work that just finished a short experimental pos-pandemic tour. Alongside Brian, he still plays as Queen, now with guest singers. And when he met the others at uni, he had just dropped dentistry and then graduated in biology. And finally, John Deacon in bass... and accidental second vocals (sadly, he's too shy to sing, and normally, his mic is turned off... normally, not always, but he didn't need to know that). He's an engineer, and he himself invented the amp both him and Brian use in this song and many others. He was the youngest and lastest to enter the band (he was a 19 years old teenager), however, his talent as a financist was the one thing that saved Queen many times. John is silent (like all bassists), but a very cunning guy, and made many good songs, like "You Are My Best Friend", "One Year Of Love", "Another One Bites The Dust" and "I Want To Break Free" (I really suggest you to react to this song's video, you'll laugh forever). He retired from Queen in 1996, after the last great tribute to Freddie, to stay with his wonderfull family, and avoids the press the best he can. Since I spoke about the songs, as you could see, all of them are brilliant songwriters, and some of these songs you probably knows even if you don't know it's a Queen's song. We hear them all the time, everywhere. Welcome to the best musical journey of your life! I hope you like the ride.
Queen were asked to perform on a T.V. music show called Top of the Pops in Britain, but they were on tour so couldn't make it. so they hurriedly put together a film to play instead. this was the result. It's considered to be the start of the Music Video era.
Beautiful reaction, its reactions like this that make me appreciate reaction videos. Getting to relive all the emotions something can evoke through someone else's lens. The songs brings many to tears, the art and science of sound and music perfected for the world to appreciate.
I’ll help you with the members the front man’s name is Freddie Mercury, the guitarist’s name is Brian May, the bass player’s name is John Deacon, and the drummer’s name is Roger Taylor
Bohemian Rhapsody. In case the meaning is lost in translation, a Bohemian is not just someone from Czech Republic, it's a person who cares about nothing and lives for pleasure and stimulation. "Rhapsody" is a style of classical music, here's a definition I found: "Rhapsody is a piece of music of indeterminate length and with no formal structure, comprised of a number of different musical ideas. A Rhapsody is all about dynamics: light and shade, high and low, loud and soft, happy and sad… It’s a story, a journey and usually quite the musical ride." The person being depicted in the song took their Bohemian lifestyle too far, killing a man just to see what it felt like, and now regrets his choices.
Queen absolutely amazing talented band all the members of Queen have written no1 hits, Queens greatest hits is still the best selling album of all time in the Uk 🇬🇧, the we’re the best band ever famous for their legendary flamboyant live concerts, Bohemian Rhapsody no1 for 9 weeks in 1975 , and no1 again in the 90s for 5 weeks, they have a huge catalog of songs , all the members of Queen are amazing musicians, I attended many live Queen concerts in the 70s and 80s no auto tune in these days just pure genius and talent!
Freddie Mercury. The singer piano player. Came back from a opera. One night and that's where the inspiration for this. Song and the whole. Night at the opera album came. From i Dare you put on some headphones. And listen to the entire album straight through. No interruptions your mind will go. Bye bye as in. A good way.
I'm glad you like their voices and talent. I find a good number of the late Millennials to Gen Z groups, when listening to the music from the 70s-90s, they get goosebumps, they feel things or are totally wrapped up. I think it's b/c they are hearing actual 'Singing' and 'Talent' without the Soundboard and Auto-Tune and 'Enhancements'. Like a 'Look' or a 'Gimmick'. Back then, if you had the Talent, you had it.
Yes, back then musicians had to pay their dues before landing a record contract. Nowadays, if you can download audio recording software from the internet you're halfway to stardom. The other half is about marketing your "brand".
The opening intro with just the four faces is actually Freddie Mercury singing all four parts of the harmony, compare it to the operatic section in the middle and you will hear the difference.
Apologies for posting this rather late, just found your reaction video. Nobody got the real reason why this song was made. As old as I am, I remember it clearly. In the 70's, especially in the early 70's, the going media response was that rock singers were mere screamers, gargling rocks and couldn't truly carry a tune. Freddie Mercury did this song and shut up all of the critics of Rock and Roll of that era. Pure genius is an understatement. :)
Yes. I remember being told by my older brothers during the 1970's, while I explored the worlds of rock and other contemporary forms of music, that "no one will listen to this in 5 years", "any monkey could do this" and "the music is too simple to stand the test of time", and so on and so on. Well, I thought they were full of shit. I was right!
Components of this song began in the late 60s a finished studio version was released in 1975 in the video it appears all the band members were singing in reality most of it is just multiple layering of freddy's voice. Queen covered a wide variety of music genres. Freddy's flamboyant behavior did revolve around the disco club life of the late 70s
Wow! That was a Rollercoaster for you, wasn't it? You from smiling to crying, back to smiling, then head bobbing. That is what music should be to all people.
No shame in crying. Those lyrics are powerful and can hit home hard with anyone sensitive to what they are saying. I had a brother who committed suicide, Bohemian Rhapsody was one of his favourite songs. I can never listen to this song in the same way ever again.
Hi Kitten iv not been well so I have not seen or listened to you for awhile. But I'm back and I noticed your getting more beautiful than the last time I seen you. And when you cry I cry. I hope your life is going fantastic because that would match how you are. I send you my love and a hug from Ireland. This world needs more people like you. 😇🐈💐
Now you can understand why I've seen Queen 3 times live, already. They put on a fantastic show....I saw Freddy Mercury twice, and just recently, Adam Lambert.
If you like the sensitive sort of ballad then have a listen to Queens 'love of my life' it is truly beautiful, Queens ability to cover all types of music genres made them stand out as one if not THE most talented groups of all time.
This was originally 3 unfinished pieces or songs that he (the singer) was writing. They needed one more song for the album to be complete. He combined the 3 and wrote an arrangement to link them together. It became the hit song of that album.
Love your very honest reaction to lyrics that are obviously ringing a bell. Glad you caught the changes in mood and tempo. Queen was very unique in their day and very progressive. They have a large catalog of great songs one or two others similar to this one. Enjoy
As a young person who has been a Queen fan for much of their life it is always hysterical to see people's reaction to listening to the transition for the first time.
great art, the best stuff.. the truly legendary pieces... they connect. that is what they do. they connect us to each other, connect us to ourselves, connect us to the artist, connect us to something higher. and if there's one thing freddie knew how to do... it's connect with the audience.
This song is off their album at, "A Night At The Opera." Released in 1975 at a time when most bands were using synthesizers this album was recorded with the use of none. Cheer musical mastery. ✌️❤️🌹

This started out as 2 songs, and they wanted to make a rock opera. This is what they created. It was voted the best rock song in the past 100 years of rock...
When you were trying to find the right word for , as you said, from the upside, the word is "above". The light was coming "from above". Loved your reaction. I wasn't expecting you to cry though. You almost made _ME_ cry.
I believe in this Masterpiece of a song ,that Freddie is actually confessing ,and giving us a glimpse into what really happens when you fall into "Music World" There is no easy way out... Thats why it has such a deep emotional impact.

U can watch the movie 'Bohemian rhapsody' to see the story of Queen a& Freddie Mercury, but it has inconsistencies... Freddie Mercury (not his real name) was born to a Parsi-Indian family that had settled in London, UK by the 60's... he and the other members of Queen were all university students and had graduated... but wanted to make music. Freddie saw a local band named Smile, which featured Brian May (guitar) and Roger Taylor (drums), and became a fan. In 1970, when their singer/ bassist quit, Freddie (who played piano) offered to sing for Smile... he renamed the band Queen (he wanted a regal name, and this was before he knew he was gay) and John Deacon (bass) joined. Freddie also designed the band's logo using the member's horoscope signs. Making original music for Queen was not financially rewarding, but they lived together and persisted... Freddie became engaged to his designer girlfriend Mary Austin, who often dressed him in colorful outfits. Queen finally got signed by EMI Records in England in 1973 and released their first album, proudly saying that no synthesizers were used to record the album. But it failed to sell commercially. In 1974, Queen had a growing reputation as a live band and toured Europe, Japan and the USA... they scored a hit single 'Killer queen' which was Freddie's take on cabaret music. Of course, when the single 'Bohemian rhapsody' became a #1 hit from their 4th album 'A night at the opera', Queen became stars overnight and all 5 Queen albums went into the charts. Each member of Queen wrote songs separately, and there was a lot of creative fighting between them... but Freddie was often the peacemaker, because he had to sing most of the songs. Brian May and Roger Taylor contributed vocals as well, and vocal harmonies became a trademark of Queen's sound. In 1977, their songs 'We will rock you' and 'We are the champions' became huge sports anthems all over the world, even today. It was around that time that Freddie Mercury finally came around that he was gay... he and Mary Austin split up, but they remained close friends until his death... Queen moved to West Germany as tax exiles in the late 70's, and Freddie Mercury was free to indulge in the gay scene there... By 1980, he cut his hair short and grew a mustache. Queen also went through changes musically... they started using electronics and synthesizers, incorporating pop music and had a huge #1 disco single in 1980 - 'Another one bites the dust' (written by John Deacon)... but the next album 'Hot space' in 1982 was a disappointment. Queen fans in the USA hated their new 'pop' sound and the band's popularity crashed by 1983... Freddie Mercury saw Michael Jackson become a superstar in 1983, and he wanted to make a solo career, but he was disappointed in what became his only solo album 'Mr. Bad Guy'... In 1984, Queen came back from hiatus and finished the album 'The Works'... it was a huge hit worldwide, but a flop in the US, so Queen toured the world but skipped North America. In 1985, Queen took the stage for a short set for charity at Live Aid 1985 and conquered Wembley Stadium in London that day over every pop act that played there over 2 days. Queen were playing stadiums all over Europe on their 1986 tour for the album 'A kind of magic'... Sadly, that would be their final tour. While on a break in 1987, Freddie Mercury was diagnosed w/ AIDS... only a few people knew - his partner, Queen's members and managers, and Mary Austin... were told briefly. Freddie never publicly acknowledged he was gay, and he asked that his diagnosis not be made public, so the band respected his wishes and worked to make new music w/ him, knowing that Freddie Mercury would soon be gone... Despite his illness, Freddie Mercury recorded vocals for 2 new Queen albums 'The Miracle' (1989) and 'Innuendo' (1991)... they refused to tour and made music videos to promote the records. But Freddie was too ill to be on camera by 1991. In the fall, he returned to his home in England in failing health and died in late 1991, his last act was issuing a statement that he did have AIDS. Queen performed their final show at Wembley stadium in 1992 w/ guest vocalists singing Queen's songs... the band released their final album 'Made in heaven' in 1995 w/ vocal tracks Freddie Mercury had recorded before his death. Years later, w/ Queen's music surging in popularity, Brian May and Roger Taylor decided to tour w/ a solo singer and perform Queen songs in concert around 2004 (bassist John Deacon had since retired)... From 2014 (?) til today, they perform w/ A.I. singer Adam Lambert as "Queen + Adam Lambert" .
You mentioned at one point that it sounded like an Opera well the name of the Album this song debuted on was called "Queen A Night at the Opera" and the correct pronunciation of this song is (bow · hee · mee · uhn rap · suh · dee).
From opera to rock to opera again to heavy metal to folk-rock again. This is something you rarely see. This is a music masterpiece.
Agreed
@@RussianReactionReviewsyou are beautiful girl😘❤
"...rarely see." Except in every single song by Nightwish and a myriad of other bands from the symphonic metal genre.
Well....do you really want to compare Queen with "a myriad of other bands"? I don't know about that my friend.@@TheRealRedAce
Every Queen song is a masterpiece. This is the best rock and this band is the Mozart of rock history. Unrivaled.
Unrivaled? I guess, The Beatles, Pink Floyd or Rolling Stones have a few words to say about that🤣
But yeah, Queen is without a doubt a top notch, very creative band.
And then there’s the sheer volume of classical music… hundreds of pieces that did not rely on words for “literal” meaning…
Just saying, I went thru my Rock period and my Latin (music) period but the bulk of work that one can go thru from Back to Stravinsky does make Rock seem like a “blip” in the musical universe…
@@TheGeoDaddy Only because things evolved much slower way back then.
Please never apologize for crying. It’s 1 of your Best traits 🎉
Shows U have a heart and are putting it to good use!😎
The look Queen was sporting in those days , skin tight bellbottoms etc... was spawned from the glam/hard rock look of the seventies that even spilled into and influenced the early days of heavy metal especially the hair metal of the 80's. Queen has influenced many areas of music and has mad respect in all quarters.
Yes and no - there are those that would say Queen had their own visual and musical inspirations.
#cough# Sparks #cough#
@@mnomadvfx Of course, Queen drew from many diverse influences in terms of their sound and look changing like chameleons all along their career, my point is that they were full fledged hard rockers especially early on in their run, they took and gave a lot but everything they did was uniquely their own at the end of the day.
What's wild to me is that Dr. Dre actually said that this was the blueprint for the perfect performance.
Lots of us out here. You've never been alone.
Me too
The lead guitarist, Sir Brian May, is also an astrophysicist that’s contributed significant work to the scientific community.
I loved seeing him in Sir Patrick Moore's tv show The Sky At Night.
"There is nothing more important then if the music moves you" -Roger Waters. Your reaction was perfect!
It's a small, self-contained rock opera. Truly ground-breaking, and fantastic musicianship, as well.
Other songs Another One Bites The Dust, It's A Kind of Magic, I Want It All, No-One But You, Bicycle Race and about 100 other great songs.
thanks for all this, Queen was groundbreaking and surely Freddie Mercury was one of a kind.
I recommend trying to listen to it all the way through it once it's an amazing piece of work a masterpiece
@@bandmom3505 I get it BUT he knew he was dying of AIDs, it gives an eerie foreshadowing when he says has the devil got his sight on me.
@@rastiga9196 Bohemian Rhapsody was released in 1975. The first cases of AIDS were not reported until 1981. Freddie was not diagnosed with HIV until 1987.
@@linusromey561 Not sure even Freddie knew!
Hey, Irina
You were pretty close with the pronunciation of " Bohemian"
The "O" was a long "O" , thus it'd be pronounced "Bow-He-Me-Ann"
Rhapsody means all different styles of music. This video changed the music industry forever! A few years after this song, MTV came out and became an all-music video music channel.
Wonderful heartfelt reaction to this great song. I will say that this is probably the furthest thing from disco as it can be... Thank you for doing this one! Have a great day!
Beautiful Reaction. You have given me my first witness of Russian raw emotions. Never met or interacted with a Russian before I’m my life. This was great. God Bless and thank you for sharing : )
'Something from the Opera ...' You are so right ! The name of the album this originally was released on was 'A Night at the Opera'.
Greatest rock song ever, probably. Greatest band? Definitely can't say that definitely, especially if you cross genres.
you should check out the crowd singing this at Hyde Park. they were playing random songs on tge speakers before the band Green Day came out and.....
If you start doing only Queen reactions your subscribers will seriously increase by the thousands… (just lay off the pause button a bit.) 👑
Indeed
While I like a lot uninterrupted music that I love (like this fawsome song), I watch reactions out of curiosity for what others people think of the things that I love and despise, to check another perspective. She could react only with her face and talk about it later, but I think pausing and comenting with the first things that come to their minds is a very good way of react to things. If I want to listen the song uninterrupted, well, I go and listen the song by myself.
No doubt on the lay off the pause button. Like... damn! Chill. LOL
You’re not wrong lol. Go to some reaction channels and their Queen reactions are by far their most viewed. Queen is just legendary.
Yep. I started watching because sexy Russian who get said from sad songs and looks cute doing so,😍
I think that's what makes women stronger is because they can cry openly. You let it out girl!
Perfect reaction. Queen was a rock band. I remember when this came out.
This is the most listened to song of the 20th century. Freddie Mercury was a genius. This group is dope.
At last - a reviewer who understands the relevance of the title of this masterpiece! Loved your reaction.
You said it was "touching your soul from the inside." How beautiful you are.
Bohemian Rhapsody is pronounced as "Bo-he-me-an Rap-so-de".
Queen is a British rock band formed in 1970 consisting of:
Freddie Mercury - Lead vocals and piano
John Deacon - Bass guitar
Roger Taylor - Drummer and vocals
Brian May - Lead guitar and vocals
Freddie is the composer of Bohemian Rhapsody.
Everything about this song and video was ahead of it's time. Freddie wrote this years before Disco.
Love when you call goosebumps little bugs 😆😆
Please don't feel sorry about crying! Tears are good when it comes to thinking of dear people and family when they are far from us. Missing our parents is a sign of love!
Great song, great band, great Freddie!!!❤
Love ur reaction! And pls don't apologise for crying its normal and natural especially in hard times like missing ur family 💕
An amazing song in three parts
1 he killed a person, pulled his trigger now he's dead, and is going to jail saying goodbye to his mother.
Hey no need to apologize for crying Irina) great song and great reaction
The beginning part, just from the lyrics alone, is very emotional. But the song is a testament of unrivalled creativity.
Hello, again, Sherry - once more, you have "nailed it" --
Good music can touch lots of people. Great music touches everyone in a unique way only to them. Queen wrote great music.
“We will Rock you”/“We are the Champions” Song runs together is another one of their great songs which is played quite a bit in a lot of sports activities because of the words. Great reaction🙏🏼🌹💕
even if you dont know queen, you KNOW QUEEN the songs are iconic
This and the fact every single member of the band was a genius in their own right:
So, we have Brian May on guitar and second vocals...
Yes it was the beginning of disco 1974 . Rhapsody is a series of small songs all used to tell a story.
Beautiful reaction, its reactions like this that make me appreciate reaction videos. Getting to relive all the emotions something can evoke through someone else's lens. The songs brings many to tears, the art and science of sound and music perfected for the world to appreciate.

The name of the album this song was release on was A Night at the Opera
Try listening to it without stopping it. You'll love it any more.
A good way.
You are listening to a musical masterpiece ! Freddie Mercury maybe the greatest male vocalist ever !!
You got the song completely. It's a whole range of emotions all rolled into one moment. Just like life!
It was released November of 1975. I was in 7th grade. Yes I did have this on a vinyl record. These guys had the best vocal harmony's ever at that time
Hi Kitten iv not been well so I have not seen or listened to you for awhile.
You lucky man I'm so jealous!!
If you like the sensitive sort of ballad then have a listen to Queens 'love of my life' it is truly beautiful, Queens ability to cover all types of music genres made them stand out as one if not THE most talented groups of all time.
Queen is a Genre of their own
This was originally 3 unfinished pieces or songs that he (the singer) was writing.
Is that the NYC skyline tattooed on your arm?! That looks amazing!
I cry everytime too, when listening to this great song, its so powerful @RussianReactionReviews
Great reaction
This song is off their album at, "A Night At The Opera." Released in 1975 at a time when most bands were using synthesizers this album was recorded with the use of none. Cheer musical mastery. ✌️❤️🌹

This started out as 2 songs, and they wanted to make a rock opera. This is what they created. It was voted the best rock song in the past 100 years of rock...
When you were trying to find the right word for , as you said, from the upside, the word is "above". The light was coming "from above". Loved your reaction. I wasn't expecting you to cry though. You almost made _ME_ cry.
One rule - never never never stop the guitar solo))))
Thanks, I needed help understanding this song. You did great job. Friend from USA.
I appreciate you gave me a feedback, I appreciate that

Music is supposed to illicit an emotional response, and this is a powerful song...
R.I.P Freddie Mercury music Genius ✊🏻🐐🕊️🎤😥
I believe in this Masterpiece of a song ,that Freddie is actually confessing ,and giving us a glimpse into what really happens when you fall into "Music World" There is no easy way out... Thats why it has such a deep emotional impact.
Makes me cry too, don't worry about it. It's an emotional roller coaster

Of course you've heard it, it's timeless!
Don't apologize for your sensitivity, it's beautiful!
