  • In this video, you'll learn how to make a keto protein shake and the importance of protein. We first review the top reasons why protein deficiency is so common from kids who won't eat protein, teenagers that snack on junk food, busy parents, elderly folks that may have difficulty chewing or swallowing and even those following a ketogenic diet!
Next we'll review the top 6 signs of protein deficiencies:
    1. Hair loss, skin and nail issues
    2. Muscle aches and loss of muscle mass
    3. Increased risk of bone fractures
    4. Compromised immune system
    5. Hunger and cravings
    6. Delayed growth and development in children
A great way to get your nutrients, save time, and get your protein is to make a shake. So how do we create a perfectly balanced protein shake and remain in ketosis? It requires the following 4 items:
15-30 grams of protein, 1-3 servings of fat, 1/2 - 1 cup of liquid, and 1-2 choices of food as medicine depending on what your exact needs are.
Lastly, we'll show you how to make a tasty and creamy orange dreamsicle protein shake. Cheers!
    Orange Dreamsicle Protein Shake Recipe:
    zest of 1 organic orange
1/4 cup full fat coconut milk
    2 Tbsp grass-fed heavy cream
    1 pinch of vanilla powder
    6-8 slices of orange
Blend for 45 seconds on high
Add in 1 scoop of grass-fed whey & blend on slow for 5-10 seconds
    Serve!

I am milk intolerant so can I use another form of milk as a sub for the heavy cream and what to use for the grass fed whey? I also tested as inflammatory for almonds and cashews

Yes this is why I’m not a fan of OMAD (one meal a day). If doing a 18-20 hour fast try to do one meal with 25-30g protein (could be a shake) and then 4-5 hours later the other meal with 6-7oz protein that will give 42-49g bringing you to around 80g.
