Congratulations Toni!! Ten years is awesome!! 🎊 Been Vegan myself for 7 years now!!! The most important thing I wish I new was that vegan does not necessarily equate to healthy. Also that there are so many levels to veganism (Raw, Alkaline, Whole Food Plant Based etc.)
I came across this video and I’m grateful. As I approach my 42nd rotation around the sun, I asked God to bring my tribe and guide me to a life of joy. I’ve been considering Veganism and it was great to know that’s different from plant-based. Your spirit is beautiful!
Way to go, girl! You are such an inspiration. Living your best life, achieving your goals and meeting new milestones. I love the idea of a nutritionist who is walking the walk, not just talking the talk.
This year in February because of my spiritual journey,i transitioned into vegan unplanned.I was 84kg,struggling with post partum belly,I had hyperacidity and irritable bowl syndrome not to forget how high my blood pressure was everyday. All my life i have been from doctor to doctor because of IBS.My 1 year old was struggling with eczema too. When the shift occured,i noticed for the first time in 28 years that for 3 consecutive days,i never struggled to sleep with acid,i also did not feel the throbbing under my feet due to blood pressure.Up until now i don't know what happened to all the illnesses i had, everything disappeared I'm now a size medium and 60 kgs sometimes i fit in small sizes and i feel super confident. My son's skin is perfect,my child minder joined us too and her body is giving 30's at 57 years old.seeing all the changes that took place after the transition to vegan diet made me make a choice for life.I will forever be happily a vegan.I spent so many years at the doctors not knowing i was putting some toxic staff in my gut that invoked disease.#Thank you for your vedio
🎉 Congratulations for of all! And good for you for taking it one day at a time, I'm realising more recently that on any journey it's so important to not rush things and take it 1 day at a time ✨ I was wondering would you be able to do a series or video around the topic of acid Vs non-acid fruits and the concept around mixing certain fruits together and certain foods together for meals. The concept around that please for some more context?
So much of what you said is so so true. Almost at 10yrs vegan too yay! The years really do fly by. Was vegetarian for years before that. Someone asked me the other day and doing the math in my head I was like 😮 Something I wish I knew was that you really don’t need to try and get fiber. They hype it up so much about fiber this and that and how important it is to find fiber everywhere 😂 yeaaaah then you end up eating 60-80g fiber for a while and have lots of fun GI issues. All the information on the internet is geared towards omnivores who tend to eat too little fiber. I wish I knew that I should’ve started out more slowly and try to be regular with fiber intake and not accidentally have super high days. As for giving yourself leeway I think that’s a fantastic attitude we should support because it’s about sustainability and being able to do it long term vs perfect “all or nothing” then quitting entirely after one “mistake” or something. That being said I consider it part of my vegan practice to not do it that way. For me not having or refusing vegetarian foods is more about how it communicates to others my activism. Idk if that makes sense? But yeah staying as prepared as possible is key!
Thanks for sharing these tips. I just made 1 year of being plant based and these tips are very helpful and lets me know that I can keep going!!!! Also congrats on 10 years!!!!
Everytime I see your videos I always wondered what happen to you and your sisters natural hair channel. ❤ congratulations to your 10 year vegan journey 🎉
Congratulations on all of your accomplishments! Baby steps and faithfulness to your passions will get you where you want to be. You're awesome! ~ Theophilus
Congratulations Tony. I am so proud of you. Spokennoise, you have done a great job. You're a beautiful person inside and out, and I can tell that you have a passion so what? You're doing so. I've been following you on and off through over the years. And I appreciate how far you come and you are A. Beautiful woman .
Congratulations on your veganversary that’s awesome and congratulations on your certification you deserve it. God bless you and thanks for sharing your journey and tips with us.
Yes it would be nice to have a soy video , sometimes i feel like it’s sl certain types of soy soybean oils , protein isolate , instead of in the whole form
Soy makes me sensitive. Too much Soy made my fibroids grow bigger. I stopped eating and all the symptoms went away. But not everybody have that experience. Our bodies are different
Are you sure it is the soy and not the caffeine? Caffeine can cause cramping, breast pain, fibrocystic changes in breast with increased sensitivity as well as painful periods with heavier bleeding.
@@Nomadicveggurli mean if you consume caffeine regularly and experience crapping after introducing the soy, I would think its the soy. I also had issues after I started eating soy.. I used to get this yummy stirfru tofu from this restaurant. Cramping, weird bouts of sadness (never ever had depression) and bad periods.
@@allisonbleb that's so weird... I've never had that kinda experience.. soy for one meal and cramping starts.. that's kinda not making sense from a scientific perspective
I really liked this list. I think the biggest thing I wish I knew before going vegan was to not beat myself up so much. Literally, sometimes I gotta cave and get Taco Bell. It happens. But I don’t think the guilt is as productive as it seems. Same with when coworkers buy food for me etc it’s like… they’re trying to be nice. But I beat myself up or start to resent my coworkers/industry. For the most part, those one-off meals aren’t wrecking the planet, Chelsea. You’ve done so much more for the planet than most humans ever do.
I'm breaching my 10 years in January 2025, started raw myself too and have come to many of the same conclusions as you. Congratulations on your 10 years and becoming a certified nutritionist!!!!
Congratulations on your journey. I have been vegan for years. I agree with you my first year or two I was really strict on myself. Not eating anything that may had cross contamination etc. the last couple of years I have become less hard on myself
The most important for me is unsaturated fats like avocado nuts cold pressed oil and vegan omega three's from algae because your liver needs the good fats to produce bile to break down cholesterol that your liver naturally produces. I like lion mane and oyster mushrooms.
Congratulations Toni🎉 at first I thought that you were going to say that you were pregnant or getting married 😅 but all that news was great to hear. Congratulations again 😊
Congrats, I struggled my early transition, especially when the normal circle of influence thinks that type of diet it crazy. It takes a lot of discipline to not fold to the normal diets most people have.
I wish I could give myself some slack around certain events but when my body receives the smallest amount of animal product, my stomach will flip out lbvs
unfortunate it's good to just here information of healthy foods to inspired one to adapt. One thing I love about hearing you sharing healthy tips is the motivation to inspirit to work at eating right and staying fit. Vegan these days will be a priority very soon base on these unusual mystery of the unknown unhealthy poison food anyway let pray that whether one go vegan or not people feel good about what they eat and eating healthy, your appetite for your pleasure and enjoy the foods you love. and yes congratulation on your tenth anniversary.
I’m a new vegan and I feel like I’m always hungry, and I feel like I’m not getting enough protein, like I feel like going vegan you really need to know how much nutrients you need daily and from what foods. This is hard lol
Try tracking your food for a week so you see how much you’re eating. If you’re eating clean in a traditional way (high carb, low fat), you may not be consuming enough calories as those foods are typically lower calorie.
Per Yahki Awakened, as well as my own experiences, Soy isn’t good for you if you have thyroid issues or gluten sensitivities. I cannot consume anything with soy in it.
Im still lost to when your arms grew so big arms looking good.💪🏾 i dont remember them being so from previous videos before but u look amazing tho i dont mean it in a bad way. U still look beautiful
Please do video about your protective hair styles. 😊

Wow!!! Congrats! Just sticking to anything is something but for 10 years 😮 becoming a certified nutritionist is awesome too keep up the good work!
that's true, 10 years is a decade, the transition is often tough for many people and after a few years there are many who go back to meat.
These kinds of videos motivate me. 15 days in and my blood pressure is already lower ! 24 and was having blood pressure medication for anxiety…
same for me as well, because offline our circle of influence can convince us not many people are living this way and for so long.
For anxiety, try Ashwagunda
Skin is glowing as usual 🎉. Congratulations on the ten years🎉

Soy makes me sensitive. Too much Soy made my fibroids grow bigger. I stopped eating and all the symptoms went away. But not everybody have that experience. Our bodies are different
I don’t know if I have fibroids, but ONE soy latte (my fave!) and I start cramping like a beast 😢 it lasts for DAYS! So I have to be careful
How did you isolate that it was that specific bean?
Are you sure it is the soy and not the caffeine? Caffeine can cause cramping, breast pain, fibrocystic changes in breast with increased sensitivity as well as painful periods with heavier bleeding.

@@sundiataq ok I need to find some recipes for with these things in it
I am still on the fence about going vegan because I don’t like to cook. So for right now I’m doing a juice feast I’m on day 34 any encouraging words 😊

I don’t consume soy because it’s processed. I get my protein through hummus(beans) & seeds. Processed foods are bad for us.
