- Suhr’s recent foray in to digital effects has shown the world that they have the required deep & detailed know-how of the modern guitar market, to offer players all the tools they could possibly need to complete their entire rigs. Kevin Suhr’s brainchild of creating a modern, compact delay that harnesses more digital horsepower than ever before, married with the character and deep tonal fulfilment of vintage, analog delay units has finally been realised!
Whilst visiting Southern California earlier this year we stopped by the Suhr factory for a day of exploring and content! In this video we sit down with electronics mastermind, Kevin Suhr and explore everything that the Discovery has to offer!

Man Jack can play. Miss him.
Jack's not just a great guitarist, but an excellent presenter too. Caught him on That Pedal Show, happy to know he's still alive! And some cool sounds in this video, thank you Peach.
How busy was Jack before he left Peach? holy cow,,,major props Jack! still getting videos with you even after months of being gone!
Nice to see you again Jack! Watching your guitar demos on repeat🥺
What an incredible integration of analog and digital technology.
Please tell me Jack is back?!!!!!!!!!!
I think this was filmed a while back. Aside from his amazing playing, he also did a good job with these interviews. The Discovery delay is so good, love mine.
This video tour was filmed back in January, so before Jack's departure!
New guy is awesome too
I bought that very same guitar model and color because of him. Wish he never left.
Very nice. Would love to have a way to share settings for the Suhr Discovery even if it is MIDI-based.
Sounds way better than the Maestro Discovery delay. I can't even give that thing away. 😅
JACK ❤

Has Jack left? Why?
He has, back in March. This content was filmed in January. You can check out his leaving video here - ua-cam.com/video/HrCwpZeVqL4/v-deo.html
Sounds kind of lacking in analog delay character to my ears.
In what way?
@@johncruz9357 It has really pristine repeats, like a digital delay. The defining character of analog bucket brigade delays is generally that each repeat gets darker and kind of distorted as they trail off. It sounds like they’ve engineered this to sound more like a digital delay (which has perfect sounding, bright repeats), which doesn’t make sense to me, because if you want that character, why not just get a digital delay? I know this has a hi cut control to make the repeats darker, but you generally don’t see that put on an analog delay, because it generally doesn’t need it. My Danelectro digital Dan Echo pedal has a hi cut control, and the whole reason they put it on there was to try to “simulate” an analog delay. 🤷🏼
@@darwinsaye it’s not as bright as a DMM or an EP3 with a good tape. You can get it very dark if you mess with the EQ…..
@@darwinsaye Why make something that’s exactly the same as everything else on the market. The reason for the Hi/bass knob is to voice it any way you want.
Horrible delay
In what way?
What's horrible about it?
Tell me more
You are just a poor player, that's all.
Don’t feed into him his just Troll!
