How do you assign snapshots 1-4 to the pedal so you can switch between snapshots with the footswitches?
Thank you so much Peach for this set of Videos. I am an older dude and ben playing boutique and vintage pedals all my life. The HX covers my bases so well, with my vintage boutique heads and cabs (I play mostly JTM45 and blackface deluxe but also divided by 13). I have A/B' tested about 10-12 of some of the pedals in the box with originals... klon, timmy, Ce-1, king of tone, Murf, Moog Envelope stuff... they are expensive pedals. I know because I own them. I started traveling internationally before the pandemic and purchases the HX effects to do so. Now I live permanently abroad. The Hx gets me there. I don't mind using it over originals. Its not the same but alot of times that is a good thing. Firmware 3 is what I'm most excited about... Polyphonic pitch. Helix will be perfect with Polly pitch.

So, I've managed to put my live rig together mainly by using the information in your videos so thank you for that. I just wanted to mention a couple of hiccups that caused me problems (probably because I'm an idiot, but I may not be the only one). First of all, the factory setting for Snapshots is flashing so that they switch back to preset once used. It took a small search to discover "NOTE: If you don’t want Snapshot footswitches to disappear after selecting one, set "Global Settings > Footswitches" > Knob 4 (Snapshot Mode Switches) to “Manual Return.” In this case, Helix stays in Snapshot footswitch mode until you press FS6 (CANCEL)." Next up, I'm using a Victory Countess II so I wanted to use my amp's distortion, but I tried to set up the EXT AMP using a TRS cable and setting 2 tip for the channel switch and 2 ring for the Crunch setting. This did not work well as they kept switching each other on and off so sometimes my clean channel would have crunch and sometimes my crunch channel would have distortion. In the end, I used a standard 1 ring jack to jack just to switch the channel and used one of the distortions on the Helix for a bit of crunch. Otherwise, this is the best rig I've ever used! Love your lessons. Very clear and user friendly! While snapshots allow me to modify a single preset and assign them different footswitches, I want to use 3 or 4 different presets on a single song. To achieve this my thought is to assign the different presets to a bank (A-D). Would you recommend another way? Additionally, is there a way to create setlists so that I can easily rearrange the order of the presets based on the gig I am playing? If so, how do I create setlists. Thanks in advance for your advice and assistance.
Awesome series! Thanks...quick cry for help?! You switched snapshots with your computer...when I step on the snapshot (think live performance) the HX automatically toggles back to the preset page😒...is there a setting that leaves all snapshots open and in their own window? So I can easily bounce between them within a song🤪 (I know I can step through each snapshot on the preset Page, but holly crap, the little snapshot number in the corner of the window is soooo small🙄...SOS!
Hey! Great series. Could you do some tutorials on how the unit can act as a midi controller? I’ve had the hardest time getting my unit to recall and activate presets on my Strymon Big Sky through the Snapshot feature.

Does anyone know if the amp channel switching will work on the new PRS Archon amps?
Does anyone know how to switch amp channels between snapshots? I am using the TRS cable method to switch channels and it works perfectly in preset mode. It looks like it’s easy as stepping on the assigned switch in snapshots, per the video. However, for some reason all snapshots per preset will only stay on the channel that is engaged in snapshot 1. Thanks!
Yeah, OK, thanks. But how do you quickly edit Snapshot parameters at a gig when you don't have HX Edit to make it easy?
How do I turn off snapshots? I just want to click mode then preset number and go right into my preset and see all my pedals. Right now I have to click mode , preset, and mode again. Thx in advance.

Does anyone know how to assign snapshots 1-4 to the pedal so you can use the footswitch to choose the snapshot you want? Anyone? Please??
Hopefully someone can answer. Can I run the FX loop with an external overdrive through the HX effects whilst running the HX effects through my amplifier fx loop? I want to incorporate my external OD pedal into my snapshots. Hopefully that makes sense!
Hi Lee, yes you can achieve this no problem. Use one effects loop for the OD pedal, use the second to hook up 4CM to the amp, and you can turn each loop on or off per each snapshot.

Can I have 6 snapshots?
I don't think it works the same way anymore. Either that or it's just different between HX Stomp and the HX Effects.
God forbid you put a link to that video you mentioned on the description .. makes more sense to send us digging through your entire channel trying to find it

I have been trying to figure that out for days! Another person asked this question earlier but no one has posted a response. I thought maybe I was the only one unable to figure this out. At least if I can't get the answer here, I know that I'm not some dummy that can't figure out something really obvious...lol. But could we also get the answer to the question, please? Anyone...?
