a fun fact about Zandvoort: When the race is there you can't get in with your car if you don't live in Zandvoort and that's why there's many trains and a bunch of cycle parked next to each other

Mines baku because of that long straight and (at least in the games) the flow of the the track after t5 is brilliant.

I live near the Albert park circuit, the good thing about it is that it’s not in the CBD and doesn’t effect traffic to much in comparison with other city’s

It used to take me 20min more to go to sch everyday during any Singapore GP because the public buses would divert

Quite mind-blowing that around 16-27% of all of the country's public bus services (50-80 out of 300) have to be diverted away from the country's downtown Marina Bay area to accommodate the race, with operators also removing bus waiting time information at diverted areas. That also reduced business to the shopping malls in the area by making it less accessible to non-race-goers (while race-goers were generally more affluent & would go shopping @ the more upmarket Orchard Rd instead), until the part of the Circle Line MRT (subway/metro) in that area opened in 2010 (though in the initial years, Promenade station was closed on race days as it was completely within the ticketed area). The Marina Ctr bus terminal (across the road from the pit building) is right in the middle of the circuit & has to be closed during the race week too, so buses that terminate there have to change or truncate their termination points too

This year, the bus stop between turns 16 & 19 on Singapore's F1 circuit was closed also in the 2 mths leading to the race there for road resurfacing works for the race
