Lyrics:
Bless this immunity
Tool's interim songs are 3 - 4 minutes. I love that. "Take a few with this musical meditation to reflect on what you've heard so far, then we will continue."
Fapplication absolutely
Like pallet cleanser
exactly.
Yes. Just like message to harry manback and intermission..
Well said
Just breath
I may need another 13 years just to process this entire album. Holy shit....
Process it how? Explain.
@@jhaz89 I know what he means. I'll explain it in parts, and break it down using an analogy:
For example, the number Seven is clearly more than the number Three, yes?
@@thegreathawk2244 first off, that's a retarded statement and doesn't answer the question. Second, I wasn't asking you asking you, haha. So, @ the dude abides, what is the process of processing these songs? Like looking into the raw details of the music or is it the classic Tool fan's notion that their music is about as complex as the evolution of a humans from stardust?
You got too much time on your hands
@@jhaz89 I don't even remember writing that, actually. So "haha"
Imagine listening to this underwater and It becomes a whole new track like that weird golden egg of Harry Potter and the Goblet of fire
fuck yes
*BRUH*
Yep
I have already had that thought.
Dude...... you are and underrated literary genius
Pop Music Fan: Finally! Only a three-minute long Tool song.
Oh wait...
Got em
Of course you don't. Keep learning, Grasshoppah! It will come to you when you are ready. ;)
@Super Otter 2 I think OP was saying that it's not really a "song" so much as a 3 minute interlude, so people looking for a shorter Tool song would be disappointed.
@@Black2th I now see there's obnoxious elitists in every group of fans, I thought tool fans were above being snubbish assholes
@@andresdiaz7820 That's no ones fault, but your own. I love tool and have since the early 00's but the fan base can be and mostly is people who label them a god... especially the Danny Carvey followers.
The bass in this song literally is vibrating my headphones so much i feel it shaking my head
Jesse Henderson
That’s because Justin Chancellor is bad ass!
No fear... Im wiping drool off my chin
Yeah imagine playing this on a home stereo, it's pretty awesome.
It's happening to me too.. Never had this happen with any song ever. It's tickling the inside of my ears. I'm wearing inner ear buds.
stuff on my walls are falling i guess turn the sub woofer
This is the shit we should be putting in our space time capsules
👌✌
The part where Maynard says hauntingly Bless this Immunity. Damn near chills
Indeed
@Ross Coe ... Bruh
@Jewtube Hates Midnighthood's Channel I thought so too at first..but you have to sit down and listen a few times. At least for me i had to grow into it so to speak..if you are expecting 10,000 days ypu will be dissapointed.
You’re the most profound and important musicians of our generation- I hope you realize what impact you have on us 80’s-90’s kids. Particularly, as we progress through life, your music becomes even more intertwined with us. Much love y’all. Much love.
Adddrock TRUTH! Well said!
And to us 55 year olds....same impact !
AMEN
#cringe
I'm 65 and have loved them for nearly 30 years.. incredibly brilliant and exceptionally relevant
It enters through my earbuds, travels through every cell of my body, until the sound hits my toes. What a wonderful full-body massage.
Exactly! I feel the same
Lyrics:
[Instrumental]
"Bless this immunity..."
@@UPWNU I can faintly hear lyrics from descending at the start
To see TOOL live, especially with this album, and all the visuals accompanying it would be an out of body experience. I have to go!
I'm proud to book it in Prague!! Can't wait to see it!!
That's exactly what I'll be doin' this Fri... should be incredulous 😎💜
(EDIT:- it was.) 🤩
@thatgirl634 YES, hey did you end up seeing them? 3 years ago I bought extra tickets for 2 friends who didn't even know ANY of Tool's music. To this day, they are both constantly thanking me for what an amazing spectacle and experience it was. Go SEE them. Everyone has to TAKE at some point, which they have to, but these guys seriously keep GIVING. Their shows are just unfathomable, sometimes.... in EVERY WAY...
Seen it 4x, and saw them 3 before that. Don’t question whether you should or could go to their shows. JUST GO. It’s a very special sonic experience with portals to other states.
I am glad to say that I have only waited four years for this piece and not thirteen like many others, some of who are no longer with us. This is for you.
GRAYLIGHTNING I waited 1 year
Much love
Ya boi only had to wait 3 weeks yeet
I waited a month lol I’m a new tool fan
Man, 4 years? I waited literally seconds LOL. This album just came out of nowhere for me. I wasn't following Tool at all. My bro just suddenly text me: the new tool is out. Have you checked it out? I'm like, oh yeah? There's a new tool? He said it might be worthwhile for me to do so. So I kinda brushed it off and was like yeahhh sure, might as well just have a quick listen. I liked Tool, but I was never really a fan of their albums...I loved Sober and Stinkfist but not so much Schism in its entirety. Parabola was cool...THIS (FI) is literally one of the finest listening experiences I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. This is like an orgasm to the ears. The chills were like non-stop. I'm so confused right now as to why the fuck I'm so blown away by this damn record. :/ This to me is like so different to what they have done before...it's way more psych, ambient and atmospheric. Like Dark Side of The Moon, or something but even greater...words cannot explain right now what the soundscapes make me feel.
How to get goosebumps for a whole hour: listen to this whole album.
TRUTH. Now I need to take the next step and see them live.
full body goose pimples
Derk Ender They’re amazing live! I’ve seen them 6 times, and wouldn’t hesitate to see them 6 more! The light show is awesome too
legit
Spot on. Thought that many times.
Tool should have scored the new Dune movie. This soundscape would be amazing as a background to a sci-fi epic.
They really should augment the walking dead score or westworld.
I could not agree more
@@davidhurrell5340 What? It came out 3 months ago.
I'm so glad to have just found this comment. As I listened to this song I thought, 'this is what Dune sounds like'. So glad to see I'm not alone
What would be dope is a Tool video game. But what type? Puzzles?
4,868 days of waiting, here we are family!
Maybe these two eights in the middle and in the end is kind of a sign in Tool history like a Fibbonacci sequence?
DIDN'T YOU COUNT THE HOURS? omg, you definetly weren't waiting this album :P
9637 since the release of undertow... 10.034 since opiate... coincidence? perhaps
@@thelastorder well he didn't count seconds as well he's not OGT for sure
What if we had to wait 10,000 days?
Indica + Legion Inoculant = 🤯
Listened to this while falling asleep after smoking Some Alien Dreams with my Sis. Bad idea. Met Jesus on an Alien Planet to discuss Philosophy.
@@cathoodiegirl4118 Sounds like a cool experience. Why was it a bad idea?
I was 30 years old when Opiate was released. I've been sick since 2017 and just now learned of this album. I've got some work to do.
I love the Tool community
O D from what I have seen on here in the last hour or so, ppl either absolutely LOVE or absolutely LoATHE this new album...I will listen regardless 🤷🏻♀️
People get so mad at the others who don’t like the album and take it as some sort of attack. Just try to see it from their point of view. How much of a bummer it must be to NOT like the long awaited album. That fucking sucks, dude. It’s like, “man I super want/wanted to not just enjoy this, but love it completely...but it’s just not there”. For those millions (it seems) who love it, that’s totally great. Congratulations. I truly wish I could join you in the love.
Except for the pretensious ones constantly talking about how deep and complex tool is. And people that say stuff like, "I'm still digesting Aenima."
That's a funny ss...
Innoculated, bless this community.
I’m imagining the Taylor Swift fans seeing what the big deal is about and landing on this track.
They can't count to 5 ;)
I'm swiftie but i think this is so much better than any track of Taylor Swift's new álbum PERIOD
Ha!
@@paolagarzon5917 Take a shit on the floor and get Swiftie, get Swiftie in here
@DerekFurreal Even though swift fans are not as well versed in this style of music you are just as much a moth to light.
As a child of the '70's this is really good stuff! Don't get me started on the production quality. MASTERPIECE seems inadequate.
Have loved them since they started. Saw them in 2003 , 2014, and right before the Pandemic. Any youngsters that have just started listening, enjoy and absorb. Don't just listen to Rev. Maynard, Hear them. They have been on to something a long time ago. Way way way ahead of everyone. If their is some songs you dont like. LISTEN TILL YOU DO.
Listen to descending very closely at 1:55. Doesn't sound like heedless lol
When you eyeball a dose of shrooms instead of weighing
Just now noticing that some sounds in this are from Descending, and it's the next song in this playlist. So it's giving us a taste as to what's to come, but not spoiling it at the same time. God I love this band.
I think there's a few snippets from different tracks too.... a very clever interlude.
jth I'd have to listen again lol (I already know I will lmao)
The end of jambi? Perhaps
@@JAMBI.. I hear the melody of “shine on forever shine on benevolent sun” in there so you might be right
They say "bless this immunity" a lot as well
Thank you, Tool. We love you.
If the ocean were made of guitar strings, echoes of other sounds and the siren vocals of Maynard crashing into you like waves - it would be represented by this song.
I kinda get it...I'm extremely immature....I remind my self this.... if it was somebody in front of you the one that's had a baby behind you how bad would you defend it
yes I would say TRANQUILITY with as far as we allow our minds to travel and to the beauty of this song that that our minds express to our self's. nice one man. definently some deep philosophy I love it!!!
Me listening to this with headphones max volume:
"So you have chosen... to be def"
worth it
“If the album defeats you... will you risk... a more dangerous road?”
Lmao 🤣

Just kidding, I appreciate the advice.
Audible fractals.
I imagine this song floating through space on the other side of the universe.
I don't know how many times I've listened to this record, 100 times I'm sure. Every time I listen to it, it takes me on a whole new awesome journey. This band keeps me moving forward. The Tool Family is also the best.
When you can actually feel your headphones vibrating on your ears, you know you're in for a good time
This came out in Aug or Oct 2020...
3 months before covid kicked in...
Rich people have access to foreknowledge...Tool capitalized on it through art. Brilliant piece of work☝️
Yeah but Fauci ordered COVID from Wish
This is an amazing moment in history
Jonathan Dippre lol, amazing moment in history? Go get laid buddy haha and please tell me that Tool isn’t the only good band you listened to in 13 years
I think the new “hip” thing is to leave these kind comments on UA-cam about how Tool is the second coming of Christ. Y’all need to expand your musical horizons. Lots of good bands out there

This is the sound of those ascending from fear🙏🏼🤘🏼
This song makes me think of the movie Arrival... and it gives me that same deep, introspective feeling. This album is very emotional.
To me this song makes me think somehow of the movie "Ad Astra" :)
Everyone's in such a good mood :) What a great community. Thanks Tool!

Listening to this through my Car's bluetooth capabilities. The car is physically vibrating. Bless this band til the days they die, and beyond.
You may have traveled through to another dimension.

I absolutely fell in love with this album. Then heard it on mushrooms and my god... I cant even express how happy i was. This album fit together so perfectly. I had to put it on repeat all night. I had to take it all in. I still Havnt. I just want to thank my Lord and savior Cuthulu for allowing such a masterpiece to be made. Keep spiraling out friends :)
Every Tool song feels like milliseconds yet its minutes, measured by the triumphs and tragedies relative to our lives, but TOOL shows our spirit can’t b broken completely

Hey Dude, much love and all that, but fuck me, your profile pic triggered me. 10/10
Love you dad
worth the wait folks, Tool's not music is an experience
I just got home it's 3:30 in the morning in New York City on Friday, I just got home and wanted to hear fear Inoculum for the 20th,time, I was telling myself I was going to wait till tomorrow when I go buy the CD to hear everything, but I stumbled unto the motherload, and although I got to be up by 8:30 in the morning today I can't help but to hear a few, so I'm listening to the ones I've already heard, descending and invincible. And Wow.
Now it's 4:00 and I'm tempted to continue listening so I'm doing this one and going to sleep before I eat some mushrooms and say fuck work tomorrow.
Can't wait to wake up in 4 hours!
Hope I dream of TooL.
It's later that morning - do you remember writing this?

it's amazing how awesome a tool interlude song has more views than most popular songs.
Like the first light of dawn, this music opens the eyes to new promises and all the wonders of nature. Evocative of belief in "the afterlife" and powers beyond observation, this piece pull the strings of the heart, draw nostalgia and awaken loves, skinned lives and sleepy watchmen !!!

Thank you, those four collectively known as Tool. It has been an ever-darkening thirteen years, with very few beacons remaining to get us through the storms. Thank you for this. Here's hoping that for just a little bit tonight, everybody can set aside the b/s division, and just enjoy the music. Tonight we're all one, and have been rewarded as such. Cheers Earth, getcha pull at some new Tool and chill the fuck out!!

Fuuuuck dude. That's next level.
Sometimes when I hear the songs that are like this on each album I wonder if theres a secret meaning for them or a way to listen to it differently to hear something totally different and equally as amazing
and so it starts...
I hear sounds from Opiate!!! Wonderful job Tool!!! You really know how to ignite nostalgia, and keep your sound after all these years!
Honey, metal and relaxation on my ears -

I remember it being the spring of 1993 and I was in my senior year of high school. I was watching the box smoking some weed waiting for it to be 330 to turn it to MTV to watch Beavis and Butthead and the music video Sober came on. I never heard of the band Tool but that song and video stuck in my head ever since. I can't believe it's been 26 years. Tool are still here making incredible music and I'm thankful I'm still here to hear it. I'm buying this album right now so I can blast it on my way to both of my soul numbing jobs. This is a great album I can't use words to describe it. Im the biggest meathead who loves nothing but fast Thrash and Death Metal but this is like a huge breath of fresh air to me. This is Tool!
AAAAAAAAA LOS AMOO DIOS! Gracias por volver luego de tanto tiempo, me sentía sin motivación en muchos aspectos pero aparecieron para darme fuerzas, gracias Tool ♥️
Tool is for the early 21st century what Rush was for the late 20th. Enjoy it and be thankful!
Ive heard a few kids saying...im hearing a lotta old riffs maaaaan...nothing experimental brah...
Dude...when u get ro our age (the bands and mine) experimentation is superfluous...you know what works...you do it...time is short...favorite tools make the best craft...
This is straight up hearkening and remembering...this is as perfect as it gets today
Sit back and watch this album change with you...those that are old...you know...those that are young...will see..
Never become jaded...never become complacent...never be afraid to do and say what you KNOW works...once you know what that is...
We are far better off with this than 3 or 4 lesser statements over the last decade...
