Just letting you know that your videos are not boring it's relaxing and inspiring especially to some of us older guys. We love this stuff.
I appreciate that! Thanks
We are a pink family (For breast cancer) And it's a very hard color to make look elegant. You Did A Phenomenal Job!!!
Thank you very much!
My name was in the draw! So that was exciting--Mary Ellen, your prize is lovely! Yes, the pinecones give a handsome effect (unlike the walnut shells), and the treatment made the very most out of that bit of beautiful burl. A pleasure to see.
You were close, thanks!
Very creative. Who would have thought that pine cones could be so beautiful.
Thanks!
Mary Ellen Gillin, you are getting a stunning piece of art work! Congratulations! I must admit, this my favorite covered dish made by Jim to date! Excellent craftsmanship!
Thank you so much!
Hi Jim that covered dish is beautiful greetings from the UK
+1! Congrats! 🎉
I love the pinecones and the cherry burl
Thank you!
absolutely stunning piece... what a day to be a Mary...
Yes, lol. Thanks
I like this one. I live in oak country but still love pine cones. Beautiful as always.
Thank you! Cheers!
Congrats to the winners! And the bowl is absolutely gorgeous. Never can go wrong with pine cones.
I totally agree! Thanks
Hi Jim, Just Subscribed today even though my wife and I been loyal fans and watched every wood turning project you have done on UA-cam. Very inspiring work. We look forward to your next project.
Awesome, thank you!
Absolutely stunning piece of art. Love the colours you chose, I like the baby pink being quite light against the magenta. Keep up the amazing work you do x
Thanks so much 😊
I don't usually like pink but this looks amazing!
Thank you!!
First, congrats on 90k! I watch several turning channels and I believe only one of them is over 100k. Well done. It's obvious why people subscribe...you make amazing art! This week's project is very cool! I love the pine cones, they give the finished project so much interest! I also love the addition of the lid. I've run out of good things to say about your projects... The idea of fossils gave me an idea. It may be a bad one but I'll email you.
Sounds good. Thanks for watching!
Jim,
Awesome project!
Designer Epoxy
Take care,
Mac
Thank you very much!
Awesome bowl. Love the lid with the all-in-one nob!
Thanks 👍
Got my coffee an ready to watch!
Thank you so much!
A wonderful job as always! Congratulations to the winners! DESIGNER EPOXY
Thank you! Cheers!
Congratulations Mary Ellen. I have to admit I was so excited because my name was on one of the entries! The bowl turned out really awesome. I love the pinecones.
So close. Thanks for watching
Beautiful bowl. Once again, I enjoyed the information. Your videos always make me want to head back to my shop and do another of my projects. Your work is just plain fun. Thanks for sharing your work.
Thanks for watching!
Way to go Jim! Fabulous lidded dish!!! 😎
Thanks so much
Good morning.
Morning!
Beautiful colors in this piece! Not as fond of your know, ik everyone's a critic. Thanks again Jim for all your hard work.
Knob not know dam spell correct
Not a problem, thanks for watching.
Very cool, as always! The resin is really beautiful. Lovely work, as always!
Thank you so much 😀
Congratulations to both winners and yet another stunning piece xx
Thanks so much 😊
You are truly an artist. Wow! You got to 40K fast! Someone is going to be very blessed to win this piece!
Thank you so much 😀
Great looking bowl. Congratulations to the two winners.
Thanks 👍
Another great piece Jim
Thanks!
This is absolutely beautiful! I love blue, but the pink is gorgeous. Lidded creations are the best as it's like a double feature video, lol!
Thank you so much!
Beautiful dish.
Thank you so much
I think it would be cool if you did a time capsule bowl. Let your viewers send small objects (as big as 1 cubic inch) to a p.o. box to be submerged in resin for a 100k subscriber bowl.
This bowl is gorgeous by the way.
That would be cool, thanks
Love your color choices & your eye for detail. Fabulous pieces!
Thanks for watching!
I absolutely love the live in person give -aways. First Class all the way. Congratulations to you. 👍👍👍
Thanks so much!
Your bowls are always so nice to see. I love the blue colors you usually use but the pink ones are very pretty also
Thank you so much!
This one looks very good too. I hope the pine cones behave. I just cleaned up a dumpster half full of pine cones from my trees in the front yard. Ugh. Getting too old for raking and stooping over.
I hear ya, lol. Thanks
Waiting with anticipation after seeing the picture in the notification ...
Thank you so much!
That turned out nice.
Designer epoxy
Thank you! Cheers!
Absolutely loving your work, you are quite inventive.
Thank you very much!
I love your creative projects, I wish I'd win one of your amazing pieces. Nevertheless, glad your channel is growing and I sincerely wish for it to continue to do so. Thanks for sharing, sincerely
Thank you so much!
This is stunning ❤
Thanks 😊
When I was little my grand Mother had a boll
Very cool, thanks!
Love it
Thanks!
Designer Epoxy
Thanks
Gorgeous! The colors kinda remind me of watermelon. Very nice
Thank you very much!
Designer epoxy ..thanks for your content..pull my name next time I can use the epoxy..haha take care.
I will see what I can do, lol. Thanks
Lovely details. pine cones always give such a unique look, and that burl is gorgeous
Thank you very much!
Designer epoxy
Thanks
The bowl and lid look great. The UA-cam comment picker doesn't like me either.
Yup, don’t think it’s ever picked you name. Thanks!
Jim, another amazing piece of art. Congrats on 90,000, 100,000 won't be far off. Your channel is growing by leaps and bounds. Not only because of the art you make but your explanations of what and why you are doing things. I look forward to next Friday, enjoy the long weekend and Happy Easter.
Thank you very much! Same to you!

OMG! ! This one is amazing, love the colors and the pine cones take it to the next level! Another amazing piece of artwork! Thank you for sharing your talents
Thank you so much 😀
Your channel seems to be growing so fast! I feel like you were just at 70K! Congrats!
As always, you're super talented and I love getting to see what you create next every week!
Thank you so much!!
So excited to see the pink and magenta combo! Loved it... looked like a star cluster inside the milky way. ❤❤❤
Totally, thanks
I think it would be interesting to make a globe. The random wood parts being the land areas and a blue and white swirls for ocean and clouds. Maybe make the globe split around the middle so you can lift off the top half to reveal a polished interior. Doesn’t need to match Earth, can be a totally imaginary alien world. 🎉❤
It’s on my list. Thanks
What an absolute stunner. Love it. Best wishes from the UK 🇬🇧
Thanks for watching
I know I’ve said it before: so much talent and attention to detail to produce lovely work; and the pine cones do look like fossils. I’ve copied you this week and produced four small bowls with inlays. Unfortunately I turned three into funnels😢. Better luck next time? Massive congratulations on achieving 90,000 subscribers 🌞
Are you using mortise’s, that’s your issue. Thanks
This one turned out so incredibly beautiful! Thanks for explaining your thought processes as you created it, it's fascinating.
Thank you so much!
Can't go wrong with pinecones! Very nice! Congratulations on 90K!!
Thanks so much!!
The way the pinecones show through on the lid is spectacular!
Thanks 😊
Beautiful, and very fossil-esque. The pine cones on the lid also remind me of stylized arrows. You just kept persevering with every wrinkle this project tossed at you. Nicely done.
Yup, I see it too! Thanks
You really hit it out of the park every time. I enjoy watching your videos as you do such beautiful creations
Thanks for watching!
It might have been a fight, but you certainly won the battle. It's a beautiful piece that shows off your artistic side of your craft. Awesome!

I was a finalist, woohoo! From a 1:90000 chance to a 1:10 chance. I’m gonna get there, someday.
Keep commenting! You never know! Thanks for watching!
That was very cool to see my name in the top 10. So, close….What a beautiful peace of art. I’m honored to have had a chance, thank you Jim
You were close. Thanks!
What a beautiful dish and lid. I love the colors and the pine cones. Congratulations to Mary and Mary Ellen.
Thanks so much!
I don’t know Jim, I’m starting to think it’s fixed. How have I not won a bowl yet? 🤬 lol
In all seriousness congrats to your winners, they have both won some great prizes. Especially the dish, it’s beautiful. You’ve hit it out of the park again.
Designer Epoxy
Thanks 👍
I keep thinking the same thing Brent - I comment on every video. But I guess lots of people do, so we’ll just have to be patient. Tough to do, Jim does such beautiful pieces, I sure would love to win one.
Sprague Quote of the Day: "Why do I only have one glove on?" Having grown up in the church, I attended many potluck dinners. When you said this is an awesome covered dish at the beginning, it made me chuckle. Ain't no such thing! Until today! Loved the "fossilized fish" swimming in the resin!!
Thanks!
This was really cool! The lid gave the bowl added character and wouldn't have been the same without it!
Thank you very much!
Congratulations to Mary and Mary. Beautiful dish this week 😊
Thanks so much
Things that I know about wood working 0% Things that I know about power tools 10% (I love my power sander. And a girls’s gotta have her jigsaw! 😂😂) Things that I know about Resin Artwork 75% UA-cam suggested your channel to me from my Art Resin channel, and I have been watching your videos ever since your 100,000 Sub video. I love your work. It is beautiful.
Awesome, welcome aboard! Thanks
You always think of new ways to use pine cones and risen. One hell of a job.
Thanks!
Awesome looking lidded dish. The colors used and combining pine cones are all inspiring. Congrats on your 90,000. I'm still working on my first 1,000 and have not started dreaming about 90,000 yet! Sure would like to have a chance at that Designer Epoxy.
Awesome! Thank you!
Each time , I say this is your best…you do better. This shows your a true artist.
Thanks so much!
Hey, another great job Jim. BTW, where do you get those plastic mixing containers, just on Amazon and do you re-use them or just through them out every time?
I get them from Ardec in Quebec, in most cases I do clean them and if I don’t I put them in the recycling when the resin cures. Thanks
Magnifique! I love watching your videos and learn so much from them. Your narrative is spot on and just enough to be helpful. Bless you, brother.
Levis
Wow, thank you!
Just watched this one. Talk about altering the plan on the fly! Three pours. Acetone cleaning. Never surrender. Accomplish the mission
Yes, never give up, lol. Thanks!
Absolutely gorgeous! 😍 All the way through I was imagining it sat on my sideboard 😢, I’m very happy for Mary though 🍀👍
Jim do we write DESIGNER EPOXY for the 95K giveaway?
You write it in every video until we get to 100K. That’s when the next draw will be. Thanks
Just a side note as I haven't watched yet - I've been following your videos for a few weeks and I didn't know what a burl was. I finally looked it up! In British English it's a "burr". Thank you for your continuing work sharing your process with us all. I know it must take up a lot of your time making the videos, and I appreciate it. Looking forward to seeing how this bowl turns out!
Yes, in the UK it’s a burr. Thanks
Your creativity is awe-inspiring. And I consider one single Like not sufficient
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 for the bowl
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 for the lid
Thank you very much!
LOVE LOVE LOVE This Absolute Beautiful bowl... Nice job and Thank YOU for sharing your creativity ☆☆♡☆☆♡☆☆
Thanks so much 😊
This is another great STUNNER!! I loved the figuring in the burl and the pink colors were a fantastic decision. I especially loved the lid idea!
Thanks Jim for another wonderful piece. (I comment every week and I dont win either, but its ok, Im not necessarily here to win! I honestly love your projects.)
Thank you so much!
I must agree with the other posts, it is the most glorious project yet. If I ever win something, I hope it is just as beautiful as this. Hand crafted by the Master! Looking forward to next Friday to see what you'll do next. It's very insightful and exciting to see how you conquer the problems that hit you sideways and end up with something precious like this.
Happy Easter Jim and Wife! 🖖😺😼
Same to you! Thanks
Happy Easter Jim and Family...another stunning project and absolutely my colors, love pine cones too, grew up with a Blue Spruce in the front yard here in Manitoba. Looks great with the lid. Thanks for the great work you do. Designer Epoxy
Thank you! You too!
I keep mishearing "Tripple E" as "Tripoli", like we're importing buffing compounds from Barbarossa.
Resin is a truly versatile material. It's really neat how it lets you make stuff out of otherwise unusable wood pieces. Never thought I'd see a bowl made of pinecones but you've done that quite a few times.
Thanks 😊
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 90k, wow! And darn, that was so close to me having one of your projects. Will keep trying!! Designer epoxy!
Awesome! Thank you!
I love watching your videos. Very hypnotic.
It seems I am several weeks behind in watching your current videos. Could you post the dates of the drawings. If the drawing dates are in the video I will know if my comments will be included or not. This one I watched 13 days after you posted.
I am a potter and am fascinated by spinning objects. Your bowls are wonderful. The colors are great. Marsha Young
Ok, from this video forward until I hit 95K, those are the videos that will count for the next draw. Thanks
Stunning lidded bowl! Congratulations Jim on winning the battle of the pine cone resin bowl. The magenta and pink really bring the perfect look to this bowl, I love it. Congratulations to both winners. I only found you Jim through following Nick Zammeti and followed his link to you to check out your stuff. I am thrilled I did, you have made some beautiful items. Thank you so much for sharing your work with us. X
Has no idea he’s suggesting my content. Great! Thanks!
Very nice Jim. The knob/finial on the lid adds that extra touch. The pine cones look a bit like a fish skeletons. Colours came out fine. Another heirloom for the lucky winner. Take care and stay safe. PS: now I know why my squirrel has been gathering the pine cones. How much are you paying the squirrel for them??
Not much, don’t care for them squirrels, lol. Thanks
What a lovely little bowl! Very nice. New sub, I've found myself watching a lot of your videos, find it fascinating so thought I better go ahead and sub to you. That Designer Epoxy does a wonderful job! And congratulations to the winners!
Awesome, thank you!
Congrats Maryellen wow what a lucky girl you are. Wow I love love love this bowl is specially the lid the colors are amazing with the pinecones. I guess I'll have to wait for the 100000 subscriber and cross my fingers😂😂 thanks for sharing
Thank you very much!
Love the inside of the lid more than the outside, but that’s just me. The pine cones add so much!
Would you consider a similar creation or hollow form using the pine cones standing, dark green over them & darkish blue above that? I think it might look like a forest at night. Maybe some streaks of pearl white would simulate stars. Very unique.
All those colors would be great. Thanks
Absolutely gorgeous and great idea with the lid! I'll be watching this video several times, because I love resin/wood/pinecones. Someone's going to be very lucky--congrats to them in advance and congrats to you for a job well done!!!
Thanks Morgan!
Mary is one lucky girl. I like complexity and interesting and this sure has both.
What I have been doing with cones, after cutting, is sealing them with lacquer a day ahead of time.
I use Alumilite and it sure doesn't like anything damp. I do split the cones on my fine blade bandsaw with a sled.
Nice turn,
Lee
Interesting, thanks!
