I always appreciate these videos however the constant push for eating meat as a way to justify your choices gets a little old. Not everyone's body was designed to eat meat. We are not neanderthals and nobody's body is designed to eat meat everyday, every meal. The body isn't designed to get all protein from meat. And quite frankly if people ate meat more appropriately it animals would not pay the painful cost. Having grown up on a farm I've seen the difference between the two. The lack of humanity and ethics is deplorable and unconscionable and that ultimately is what you are consuming. Though I totally agree that ppl need to make the correct choices around diet and can't keep eating foods processed to be something it's not.

the bit about how eating meet kils less animals is amazing.he is full of amazing facts, dont listen to the negativity sometimes it means were on the right track,no more spinache korn or grains for me unless its my treat day and a good spagetti bowl, and the facts about how being able to slaughter our own animals was awesome, everybody should slaughter more humaneley the slaughter factories are disturbing and dont apreciate its a sacrifice to feed us and we all need to see the brutality atleast once to apreciate how valuable it is

My grandmother and grandfather lived till they were 96 years old. Empty nesters at 42 and lived in a one bedroom unit that they built at the back of their main residence once the kids left home. Easy to clean and they had little stress. Swam in the ocean in summer everyday day, ate the rainbow in vegetables, good quality meat and homemade cake everyday. Both loved a chocolate with their sugared milky tea. They had a nice circle of friends and didn't care about flashy cars or designer clothes. They lived within their means. No credit card debt or money worries. Both loved a good book in the late afternoon, dinner at 6pm. Bed at 9pm. No medical pills until their few year with us. I think about them everyday day.

We are finally doing food composting in a big way in New York City. Since most of us and there are millions do not have backyards We needed some sort of systematic pick up which we finally have. I thought it would stink up my whole kitchen and attract bugs, but I have a wastebasket that has a lid and I sprinkle cinnamon in it and that keeps away any critters, and it doesn’t smell at all. I’ve been taking it down to the main container in my buildings basement about once a week so far

My great grandmother lived 100+ years and she used to drink black coffee in the morning, all morning. Then she would fast and eat some white rice, beans, and chicken/beef/fish/pork in the afternoon. No sodas, just water after that. Her memory was sharp and she died because of an accident. I guess that after watching this video, I have validated her diet.

As a Food Scientist and Chemist i love watching videos like this. I would highly agree regarding avoiding processed foods. If it has a label I usually avoid it. I prefer fruits and vegetables but will eat meats sporadically. It is true that usually low fat or low carb items are worst because they are replacing the fat for carbs or viceversa so the product still has flavor to the consumer. While I don’t agree with everything he is stating, he has a lot of good points. Please keep making videos like this 🙌🏼

I was a caregiver for a woman starting at age 95 to 105 years. She was born and raised in the Nebraska sand hills. They raised cattle and grew their own veggies. The creek on their land fed the gardens and the animals. During the dustbowl and the great depression, they dined on steaks and veggies--even for breakfast. When I took her to the grocery store, she shopped the periphery of the store: meat, dairy, produce...and avoided highly processed foods.

Fascinating! Until 33:47 I could never explain, nor could anyone understand how I managed to keep the same size, mass, youthful frame, skin/hair tone, and agility. Nice to know it's due to how I consistently operate in my daily life just as he described. When asked, and am asked often...I felt guilty saying I have never attended a gym or workout group nor followed a diet in my life. Except for the years I was eating for 2💞 True Story. I drink water when my lips and nose signal the need because my Indigenous Grandmother told me when I was too little to understand but 6 decades later, I still live by that simple rule of life, "Look at this plant she said... when you touch this soil and it feels dry...it's time to water it right? If the soil is white and crusty, it's missing something, maybe some kind of food or give it new soil like your mommy does right? If the soil is really wet and the leaves are droopy that means there is too much water in the pot right? Your mouth and nose are like this soil, if you leave it thirsty and hungry for too long, see...the leaves are like its skin, it will get funny-looking brown dry spots, and fall off and maybe the whole plant die. You are like a plant, use your nose to smell before you put anything in your mouth, and always take even a sip of water when your mouth feels dry, etc. Don't drink anything too fast...take your time, drink and eat just what your body needs. Not just now, your whole life, only you will know what to eat, how much and when...don't worry about 3 meals a day. Take 1 meal if you feel good...stop, if you want a 4th meal, then my child think about what you are putting into your mouth and you will live a long, long time. Thought I'd share a rather simple way to explain something significant to a young child. I LOVE's the look on a cashier's face when I whip out my Seniors discount card...Priceless.

I love mangoes but if I smell a ripe one and it doesn't smell right....like it smells like a mango but doesn't make me think MANGO.....then I don't buy it. My body doesn't want a mango that day. Seems simple but I don't throw away any produce because it always tastes good.

An important point if you want to try having a farm, you don't have to do it all! If you raise chicken, you make friends with the farmer with cows, friends with the farmer with the fruit trees, friends with the farmer with the vegetables. Farmers always trade and share seeds, manure, egg shells, equipment. Get a farm but also get in touch with your local farming peers.

@Capri Sinclair looks old valter longo looks old they're over 40 they are "old." Dr. Sebi when he was alive (vegan who used to cure cancer etc) looked old at 40. Vegans tend to look old in general in my eyes because they lack muscle mass or body composition. Skeletons usually look old right? Avoilding animal fat ,butter, cholesterol and physical activity definitely ages you visually. Smoking also won't help you look young. I'm going to get esoteric or abstract here: The planet and universe is always actively moving even when you decide to be lazy for a week. So imagine how fit life is in comparison to you? What right does a "lazy, routine-less" person have to look young on a planet that never breaks its routine? How active is the universe in comparison to you? Not saying "we" should stay busy 24/7 but you can observe your activity as a whole and see what you're leaving on the table while observing how focused life is at keeping it self working well.

I love this channel. it is so informative and I am a health freak (and I am not ashamed to call myself this) so these sort of videos are really helpful. Some I knew already like issues with Kale and Spinach. It is very sad though how we are so brainwashed and miselad as a society into thinking how so many things are healthy when they are not. There needs to be more done on food labelling. Even nitrates on ham is seriously harful and many claim can be carcinogenic. It's a nasty preservative to stop the colour of ham changing so it is more attractive on the shelf. Scandinavian countries are more strict than the rest of Europe. They ban a lot more than we do in the UK. I wish we were more like them so I dont have to analyze the ingredients of products I eat and drink. It's shameful in this day and age and the labels are misleading. For example, sugar content. Why can't they work out how much sugar in total is in the product? Instead you need to work out this yourself.
Soil quality was a lot better when my parents were growing up. Then there's this hidden secret of what is GMO. They say 80% of soya in the US in genetically modified. Looks out for GMO free on the label but I remember when it was law to mention if food was GMO and then they stopped it. No idea why but I was amazed just how many items were GMO.
Some interesting books are Grain Brain which talks about the issues with gluten for both mind and body. Whitewash which talks about the down side of dairy. The Great Cholesterol Myth is another really important book about how many of us are on drugs to lower cholesterol and do we need to be. I am not the author and mentiont hese books because they opened my mind on a lot of things I did not know.

Great stuff once again. I'm 59 now and changed my eating routine to ideally eating after 11am, and before 6pm - not before or after. I start my day with coffee/cinnamon, lemon/ginger water, try to do a short 20 min workout. I lost about 15 lbs pretty quick. I still indulge in a sweat occasionally. I'm not as disciplined as I'd like, I don't stick with my routine and much as I'd like, but I've never felt healthier. Also I'm not a conspiracy guy, but when we look at the regs/rules governing food & drug production it's hard to explain how we got where we are - low quality, high prices, and myths about drugs that are marketed to solve things but actually make us dependent on other drugs - without thinking there's some nefarious forces/influences behind the scenes to keep us in place.

I did some extensive research on nuts and to me, macademia came out tops as it has less phytates and oxalates. Almond is the worst. But it depends on preparation, I always soak things like oats overnight (min 12 hours). Then the phytic acid is already broken down by the time you cook next morning and you get minerals from your toppings.Magnesium is easily attacked by phytates. AVOID KIDNEY STONES.
Avoid kidney stones! I’m 75. Suffered from it from age 19 to 40. Then I found the help I needed. Either your body processes uric acid or it doesn’t, which also causes gout and comes largely from consuming red meat in particular. And as the guest pointed out from other sources, among them kale and spinach which I used to ate regularly and precipitated attacks but consume no longer. I was hospitalized five times. The last time was 30 years ago. God I suffered!
Here’s the treatment for kidney stones. Drink a lot of water regularly to flush out the kidneys. But drink at least three eight-ounce glasses of water at least three times a day with one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. NOT WHITE vinegar. Not just any kind of vinegar…Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar. It contains the fermented particles of the apples and is what dissolves the stones. It should not be drunk straight but must be diluted in the water. You can build up your tolerance and use more the suggested tablespoonful, but don’t go overboard. Just be disciplined and drink it regularly, and in the morning and before going to bed.
It will be a bit tart. Honey may be added. There are other benefits, including deeper sleep and improving blood pressure. It is not a cure. I don’t think there’s a cure. The tendency to avoid it is up to person suffering. I used to suffer terribly from kidney stones until I researched and found this remedy. Eat meat in moderation. This is a very knowledgeable guest. Remarkably and conspicuously so. He’s the only person I know who has specifically articulated spinach and kale cause oaxalates, which cause stones. I’m very impressed.
Only two days ago I ran back and grabbed my ACV because I felt a mild attack coming on. I ate two hot dogs. I can indulge occasionally because I know what to do. Knowledge is power. Coffee also triggers k.stone attacks. Discontinue foods that are bad for you. I wish your two friends well.
I’d appreciate if after a week they posted the results of their use of ACV and how it helped them. Endnote. Carry your Bible and a bottle of that vinegar with you. God will take care of the rest.

He has a point about not enough energy equals not detecting reality. Basically, the more energy one has, the more aware the mind is, the more agile, the more attentive, the sharper it is to detect and discern what its content is, its belief, and what works etc. This means one's energy level is indicative of personal success whatever that means at the individual's level of preference. The mind follows the body's signals whereas the mind has to exert effort on it which is energy and costs a lot from its standpoint as the mind is lazy. You need energy to recreate and multiply it specifically the stimulating energy or start-up energy or force to get started and it could be even a vibrational thought already stored somewhere in one's experience. This is a very interesting conversation. Thanks.

I loved this episode Tom! Dave has been someone I’ve been sincerely interested in since way back when he first started Bulletproof Coffee. Super smart guy. I found this interview very fascinating. Particularly when the conversation pivoted to consciousness and quantum biology etc. Please please please have this type of conversation with Dr. Joe Dispenza. I would love to see more explanatios, data, and truth that proves more of this subject matter. Dispenza’s work is extremely cool. But people tend to get stuck in their talking points and take over the entire show. I want more of your sincere questioning of trying to understand this material to shine through like you did here Tom. It tends to open the guest up providing more thoughtfullness in their responses to questions instead of them repeating automatic responses you here in multiple interviews. Wether they’re making their rounds on multiple channels trying to sell something or not (not necessarily bad) or if they’re simply wanting to get information out there that seems at surface level unbelivable (Dispenza). Replicatable results are the only thing that matters with this type of info - the truth. Overall awesome stuff. This is what I did late Saturday evening.

Agreed, its fun to refine health down to the bullet-points and get on with transforming your daily experience, its a great creative pursuit and feels right because any healthy-minded human wants to look after themselves, its built into our DNA to make intelligent, considered survival choices. Early life trauma makes many people self-destructive and apathetic, thats why we so many obese people. Here's my list in no particular order.
      1. Fasting - Intermittent 16-8, fasting 72hrs every 3 months. Fasting 10 days once a year.
      2. Exercise, jogging barefoot in a park on grass, to save the knees from concrete and the added benefit of grounding to the earth. Bush-walking, beach-combing, Yoga, stretching, squats, push-ups, all the exercises you can do just using your own body-weight.
Meditation - 30mins to an hour each day, bookending the day is a good way.
Observe the mind, don't try and stop it. Observing the mind doesn't mean indulging in thinking, and after 30 minutes of usual obsessive stress-driven thinking, you get up and say "well, I meditated, so that's good". No, be the Witness Consciousness, watch thoughts come and go as "things" to your awareness, don't open up the file and start branching off into reverie after reverie, you will naturally do this, but you just return to the task at hand and remind yourself youre an idiot (joking) just remind yourself to observe again, and repeat.
      3. Daily Breath-work (Wim Hof style) 30 in-breaths, 30-out breaths, breath-hold (exhaled) 1:30 secs. Repeat 3 times.
      4. Cold Showers - Its tough, but worth it, you will start to enjoy it after a while because the dopamine spike is better than any coffee you could make on a $5,000 machine, not to mention a myriad of other benefits.
      5. Getting good at doing difficult things (I dont mean base-jumping, skydiving, mountain climbing etc) keep your feet on the ground, life is too precious. By difficult, I mean all the things on this list.

I'm convinced that cottonseed oil and gmos/glyphosate are troublesome as well.
I appreciate hearing the benefits of eating meat and grazing. I've been saying for years what was heard from the Tibetan Buddhist - one life feeds many people, and the grass isn't killed when properly managed.

I’ve reached a point of frustration with finding what’s the healthy way to eat. It’s a confusing amazement, that we don’t know enough about it and we are still discovering what is best. I’ve been Keto, low carb, vegan, vegetarian in my journey to find what’s best for my body and for longevity and health. I’m 40 years old and I’ve maintained pretty healthy living diet wise and I’m getting back to workout routine post surgery recovery from workout injury. Right now I’m vegan and have been for some time but I’m craving meat and if there’s anything I’ve learned about listening to the body is that it’s trying to send me a message. I’ve been too carb heavy and not enough protein in my diet. I hope to eventually find what works best for my body soon.

    my takeaways from this video:
I'm a distance runner so I need as much food as possible or I will wither away lol... I eat about a cup of oats and buckwheat every day(with bananas, cocoa powder, protein powder, honey, olive oil, etc), but soaked grains overnight in water/vinegar.. no problems. also, I usually do a smoothie in the morning with a ton of spinach and greens, fruits, olive oil, and water... also feels great. so far I am not convinced by those arguments. I do agree with supporting grass-fed agriculture and eating eggs. the best thing I have added to my diet was weirdly olive oil (about 2-4oz per day). I had dry skin/eczema before this addition and it has been fantastic for my skin and holding onto weight so plant oils and fats are essential. he's right about zone 2 training but, he looks unhealthy, weak, and not like a person in his 40s.. he should not be giving advice on strength training or longevity IMO..ok didn't know he lost 100lbs so that is interesting. so the bio hacking your brain section at the end was actually the best part of this interview. very interesting. i would love to hear about what this guy thinks about 5g, blue tooth, and all of these modern waves we are forced to live with that are fairly new.

Your interpretation of his words is off.
Olive oil is not a seed oil.
The negative effects from spinach and grains is nothing that every person experiences the same.
Some people tend to form stones more than others and some people (me included for both) are way more sensitive to grains.
He is looking at the statistical effects and not saying that every single person will 100% suffer side (obvious noticeable) side effects from everything.
He also didn't say that you have to eat as much as possible, he said that with certain foods he makes sure to get enough because the soil they were grown in is lacking minerals.
Listen to the words people are saying and stop interpreting so much into it.
      Listen more, interpret less.

Also blocking the absorption of some vitamins. Grains have phytic acid, hence why sprouting all grains is the best option for easy digestion and nutrient absorption. But it’s said the positive nutrients of these grains outweigh any anti-nutrient effects of these plants.

This is a kick-ass podcast. Most of the information I have heard here. I have been suspicious of for years. I'm very healthy and have been my whole life. At age 60, just the same improvement is still attainable. Just got on board with a mostly carnevore eating plan. The crazy part is after just 7 days my energy and mind are incredible. The only concern I have is I lost 3 pounds in those seven days. I have been 6" 170-180 pounds for 40 years. I may need to increase the calories in my carevore meals. It's been my experience in this first week that you just are not hungry on a carnefore diet. I will try the coffee for my morning bullet...

If you want tolose weight on the carnivore diet you need to eat white meat and not necessarly red meat and do IF and you will drop the extra weight.

Then, one day I discovered A2 milk and I drink it all the time with absolutely zero problems now. I eat heavy meat products now as well. I am so much healthier than I used to be when I thought that eating plant based was healthier. I also weight lift 5 days a week and love it! I feel great and my blood work comes back better than perfect. I recommend that anyone who suffers from health problems like I used to considers eating more animal products from good sources. I have seen prayer have effects on a person at a long distance twice where the person being prayed about did not know they were being prayed about but had physical responses. These were health situations. This involves another variable, God, but what you are discussing about connections happening across distance under certain circumstances is absolutely true. You can sometimes feel where a certain person is in a crowd when you can't see them. Some plants synch their circulatory process to the heartbeat of one person in the room. Some people are more able to guess what someone else is looking at, I ran experiments. There is a lot we do not know but the possibilities are wild.

A way to clarify the "removing gravity" confusion is to clarify terms. Gravity produces a constant force on an object. A constant force RESULTS in an ever increasing velocity. The force your muscles supply to the gravity force balance results in acceleration. What he is talking about is a constant velocity (produced by the machine) vs a constant force (produced by gravity). This is why the winch analogy is applicable. No matter how much force you apply, the object keeps moving at the SAME velocity. This breaks the "gravity" (or constant force) feedback program we have learned, because it doesn't apply in a constant velocity environment. Results in removing the negative constraint produced by the normal constant force program. Hope this helps.
