I follow Dave’s podcast the Human Upgrade, as I like the subjects he chooses, but regardless of the people he interviews, it is always more interesting when he is the one being interviewed. Thank you Jesse for interviewing him. Sometimes I think the people Dave hosts are never at his level. Kudos to Jesse for always analyzing these subjects deeply and for asking incredibly interesting questions. I love this channel!

Ever since I had thyroid surgery ,I've been taking supplements to try and balance my energy, in every way, physical and mental.
One of my first Dr. visits that I had following the surgery, the Dr. suggested that I get a B-12 shot, so I agreed, and it worked like fire.
I had a lot more energy and focus for the rest of the day.
Unfortunately, I got caught up in all the other nutritional supplements, and payed little attention to my B-12 status.
Actually was taking a supplement that contains B-12, B-6 + Folic Acid, so I thought I was getting enough of these nutrients and didn't need to be concerned with their levels. Unfortunately, it turned out, these were of little value, being of poor quality/not very bioavailable.
Just finally got my act together and started taking the activated form of B-12, and noticed an ebbing of a lot of symptoms that seemed to linger for years.
So I would advise anyone concerned with their energy and focus, to look into their B-12 levels, and supplement with the Methylated form, including Folic acid in it's Methylated form as well, plus 5-P-5 form of B-6, to keep your Homocysteine levels in check.
If you value your sense of smell, and it seems to be lacking, try more of these nutrients, they gave me back this sometimes overlooked sense, that is so important to our overall sense of our environment.
    🤨🤔🧐👍🏻👍🏻~👃🏻~🌹

Good idea, I have thought about it on and off. Also read ethno-reports of tribes even today eating clean clay earth after heating them for some minutes, basically baking them and they say it is nutritious and keeps the people healthy. Technically, to find clean clay it is said to take it from at least 70 cm under the surface and then it should be good for eating it raw or applying it on wounds. Also bees love drinking clay water as I was told. I am really looking for clay now. Thanks for your comment. But why a capsule? The tribe described ate the clay like others cereals. I think this has the ability to thoroughly clean and nourish.

honestly though.. Vegans aren't easy to trigger (at least I'm not) but it's every single podcast and post so if you are constantly picked at and stereotyped of course going to get a little annoyed. Dave talks to experts who will say if you do a vegan diet correctly you can be healthy, he'll agree but then turn around and say something negative in a post or podcast. Like.. I get that he is angry because his body didn't agree with it and he even says he didn't do it correctly so I dunno.. Just annoying he is so focused on bashing a vegan diet when 90% of the population lives off sugar and grains. I still love listening to the podcasts and reading articles because I agree with pretty much everything else! Enjoyable discussions.

I know some v healthy vegans, they are older, v spiritual and grow/cook pretty much everything they eat. I truly believe on a spiritual level they are far more connected to source (you might call it god). I think they have far less need for the level of nutrition that some of us not so zen like individuals. They can literally get energy from the ether. For me I do not function well without animal fats/proteins. I believe in live and let live, if veganism works for you and your healthy and happy then it’s no one’s business but yours, and vice versa with animal consumers (as long as animals are not mistreated, which means raising your own or finding small farms that have good husbandry methods).

I canceled my subscription for the 'High Achiever' coffee. Something in it was just too much for me - maybe the Lion's Mane, maybe the B-Vitamin combination. I do take quite a few B-Vitamins, so perhaps it was the Lion's Mane. Your milage may vary.

@planetsaver1 consider that animals can run for save themselves; plants can't, so there's a different defence. You can cach them but you can't eat them... Herbivores can.

I feel like Asprey is biting a lot of rhetoric from Bryan Johnston, he’s also suspiciously insistent of the things “ he came up with”, like he’s insecure about it and needs to keep repeating or injecting it everywhere he can in the conversation.

I think this is BS. F1 drivers or 100m/200m sprinters reacts to the gun much faster than a third of a second. You can easily test yourself with this. BS.

The problem is two-fold, 1. You are eating over-processed food. Two, ask yourself would your ancestors have recognised Vegan food as food.

@@navigator100group2 1. Yes, they would have recognized that things that grew from the ground were not animal, and would eat them. 2. You don't have to eat processed food to be vegan, so don't equate the two. 3. You have some learning to do.

    Change business every year
Boltproof I bought their coffee until I found out that their coffee was moldy!
They claim that they do laboratory tests for the quality of the coffee and are not willing to show anything!
