    Great video once again Jake, ever since you showed me how to polish up a barrel I've now done all 5 of my rifles and I definitely got tightened up group's on all the rifles so thank you for that . Look forward to the next one mate .

    Very very impressive 👏 UKs best Benjamin? I'd definitely say so 👌
    If you actually stop and consider what this gun was out the box i.e a budget mass made Turkish rifle it really does just go to show what a bit of tune and fettle can really do especially when carried out by someone such as yourself 😁👍
    Brilliant watch as ever 👌 keep em coming the more technical the better 🙂

      Thanks mate, the Benjamin has really surprised us, we though there was no way we could get away without re-barreling the rifle and doing a bunch of re machining, but as of now we have done very little in terms of specialist work and its transformed the rifle, shoved a reg in and give the barrel a ruddy good polish and getting a sub 6mm c2c group at 50 yards, more work to come. Thanks for watching.

    Thanks. Getting my first pcp Delivered this Friday. I’m usually AR and AK guy but thought I’d give this Air rifle stuff a try and save some money on ammo and time. I’m getting the Walther Reign bullpup in .22
    Found your video very informative, thank you.
    I wasn’t sure if I want to switch the charging handle to the left side but if I have to break this thing in half to do that . So polishing the barrel will make it worth my time doing both. Or if I don’t have to polish and I’m lucky at least I’ll know I don’t have a barrel problem. Who am I kidding ! All gun people like to tinker with their toys we can’t help it.

    Please excuse my ignorance as I am new to modern air rifle shooting and am waiting for my police approval before I can join my local club. I hoping to invest in a pcp rifle once I have learnt to shoot my old Weihrauch HW77. I am absolutely amazed at your skill in gun engineering and the fantastic results you have achieved with this rifle. My question, again please excuse my ignorance is WHY don't the manufacturers carry out this work in the first place to improve their product is it simply a question of cost ?. So impressed I have subscribed thanks so much.

    • @sub12airgunners
      @sub12airgunners  2 роки тому

      Its just cost, this rifle cost less than £600 new, and to check every rifle at a range and tune them to make them good would take too much time/ money, the thing is they work on volume some will be useless and some will be fantastic, we had one in the club that straight out the box was phenomenal, its just how lucky you are. • @sub12airgunners

      yes what tends to happen is the crown or the lead gets uneven and you get flyers from the pellet loading badly or leaving the crown one side before the other

  • @vincehogg8935
    @vincehogg8935 2 роки тому

    Most other barrel polishing demos they are adamant you don’t go past the end so the crown doesn’t get rounded, but they are all using rods. Difficult if you are trying to sort out the choke. Do you think it’s so important to avoid going over the crown?

    • @sub12airgunners

      if you go slow and steady you should be fine, if the lead is a little sharp start there, the pellet should feed in with
      a bit of resistance but no real force, chokes are funny things and pellet choice can make a huge difference, if it feels excessively tight you could benefit from taking some material out of it. Thanks for watching.
