Here I show you how to refurbish a fuel pump assembly, changing the fuel pump electrical unit only. It will save you a significant amount of money, since the fuel pump itself costs much cheaper than the entire fuel pump assembly.
Besides, I added a bonus of describing some symptoms of a fuel pump failure, some tips on how to test a fuel pump power supply, so that to find out if it is electrics or a pump itself that is faulty. And one more tip in the end of this video, how to bring the pump back to life, maybe a very short life, but in my case it gave enough fuel to my engine for about half an hour of a very careful drive back home.
Surely, one should be very careful and not make experiments with electrics when the fuel tank cap is open, since fuel vapors are highly flammable and may cause a fatal consequences.

Just found you channel, and I have an X-Type. This is so great! Would you be able to do a video on how to change the fuel tank door? Like when you need to open the fuel door to fill the car with gas. Seems to be no videos on the X-Type for that.
Hello Jonathan! Thank you for your comment. In fact I tried to remove the fuel tank door when I had to take it to the painting workshop, but in vain. I refused this idea and removed a side mirror cover for this purpose. I don't know how to easily remove the fuel tank door. But today I will publish a very helpful video about alternator issues and battery drain testing. Hope you will enjoy watching it!

Hello, Atanas! Thank you for your comment! As far as I know, it's not the fault of 1582 code, that the engine goes to the safety mode. It's some other fault code that causes engine not go over 3000rpm. As for the P1582, the majority of Jags have it without any issues.
Thanks for the tip. What should the fuel pressure be when the engine is running?
2.1 is running at about 5 bar. I tried to decrease it to 3.8, but returned to OEM pressure finally. You can see the video about the fuel pressure regulator on the channel.

We are located in Philippines and unfortunately this car model parts are not available. Many pumps available thru ebay but the pressure output is not correct. Would appreciate your parts sources. Thanks!
@@V12laxman I suppose, Philippines is not far from Australia and if you search X-type parts on e-bay in Australia, you will find the best shop of genuine X-type parts, including fuel pump. Good luck! P.S. I bought a Visteon fuel pump in Turkey, I cannot recommend it to you.
What do you do if the electrical part of the fuel pump is not working?
If the electrical part of the pump is not working I replace it with a new one. If there were no voltage supply to the fuel pump, I'd check the wiring, the relay, the fuses, the ECU. But I've never had such experience.

@@jaguarrroman I have a jaguar x type car. the problem is if we step on the gas pedal the rpm drops and the engine sounds like it's about to die. The spark plug coil has been replaced. what are the possible TPS and ECU. because we scan, the code appears p1573. . thank you sir, please give me a solution sir.
@@narnoae1407 P1573 is a throttle position message error. I would first try to swap throttle position sensor (replace it with a working one from another X-type), if not - check the wiring from throttle position sensor to ECU, if not - try to find workshop repairing ECUs. It's my own opinion and I am not a professional Jag engineer.
@@jaguarrroman it turned out that my tps was fragile and broke when I opened it, sir 😁😁. before I opened it, it turned out to be brittle because it was exposed to hot engine steam. maybe it's time to replace it. thank you sir 😁🙏🙏
