I used a 1986 Mustang separate or plate, bellhousing, clutch, and fork. I bought a 28-Oz 157 tooth flywheel for a 10.4 metric clutch from Summit racing. Also used a California Pony Cars cross member. Driveshaft and slip yolk are original 67 unmodified. C4 Transmission Mount as well. I also used my starter, but it's making an awful grinding noise, so I have to figure that out. I bought the wrong T5 make sure you get one with a mechanical drive for the speedo I bought a 96 because 3rd gear is slightly shorter not realizing the speed sensor is electric so now im going to try and figure out a digital speedo in the meantime phone GPS it is.
I'm definitely planning for a hydraulic clutch eventually. As far as the gears go I'm probably going to leave the stock 68 GT gears in it (that's what the rear end is out of) all of the roads where I live have a 70mph speed limit so I'm actually hoping the .93 overdrive in the t5 will make a huge difference.
Looking to do the same swap in the coming weeks. What all did you have to buy for the transmission swap?

One of the best mods I run a world class t-5 on my 66. You will want new rear gears next. Also a hydraulic clutch.

If I can ever get ahead of my mortgage I'd love to find a 1970 Chevy Nova to restore.
It ain't cheap that's for sure. The total ended up being about 2k with a junkyard T5
Mustang Sally’s car ..
I thought Sally's was a 65
