Totally! Whenever we go to the store the spray shellac is ALWAYS sold out! I think between Instagram and UA-cam these tutorials are having a huge effect on the shelves at Home Depot and Lowes 😂
Thank you so much! 😊 Oh yes, for sure it would have 😁 The dresser is actually really smooth to touch because the metallic levels out. The technique and purpose with the stipple is to create dimension and a light effect 🤩 Also it was a request from a subscriber to learn the technique so ya know, had to deliver 🥰
@@Happyspacediys well I have to tell you that I really enjoyed your video because it was so different and I love the color. Can you make another video where you don't do the stippling so I can see the difference please? And perhaps maybe do it with white or silver. Now I'm getting carried away LOL😅
Hi, good video. I am re-doing my kitchen from standard white cabinets to ?? something stunning. I have black slate tile with a metallic shimmer of rust, silver in it. I have blue Zline appliances, I do have MM antique bronze but wanted to give it some depth. I like using the black pearl. But now I am wondering if I should use the platinum on top of the black or the warm silver... perhaps I can add a 3rd color?
I absolutely love that! Are you painting the metallics over your white cabinets or changing the white as well? I think layering some metallics can definitely work and would look amazing at different times of day or lighting. You can layer one as a paint wash or dry brush around edges. Always do a tester and let it sit in the room for a few days. Then you can really get that grasp on the perfect look ❤
@@Happyspacediys I am still on practice boards. I will use a primer for sure. I hate white cabinets, although they are still very much in style just not for me. I will do a dark primer first and follow up with the lighter paints, I will try a few different applications and colors.
@@judemclean1522 I think that's awesome! I love meeting my fellow lovers of colored paints and decor! 😄 Sounds like you're on the right track 😊 Have fun!!❤
I'd love to do an updated ombre tutorial! I'm currently in the process of healing a back injury and getting ready to move. There are a few older ones on the channel. A blue chest of drawers and a light pink vanity. You can see the blend better on the blue piece. Unfortunately, the pink one doesn't show up well because I'm blending it with white.

Very nice work Heather. But I wonder if you wouldn't have used that stippling motion the metallic paint would have looked smoother?

This is seriously ugly. Looks like it was rescued from a house fire.
