- In this Furniture Makeover video we are Updating an old 5 drawer tall dresser using Country Chic Paint In the color Elegance. This dresser needed a ton of Prep work and repairs. I’m using Paintable wallpaper on the drawer fronts for added interest. I hope you enjoy this start to finish Makeover! I truly believe this was a trash to treasure story with a happy ending 💙💙💙

Upon unboxing, I was immediately upset at how the rails were very noticeably bent. But I kept going, all tools needed to assemble were included ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxqtX4Dxs6aecAZEuz6GY5-d81YecKCshn and I had it set up in about 30 minutes. Honestly I love this thing, make sure to read the measurements and measure your space so you know if it'll work for you. I bought this to put inside my closet, underneath where I hang my clothes and it is absolutely perfect! It is VERY sturdy and all drawers glide easily and mine are stuffed, and they are still flush when closed.
When I saw the thumbnail for this video I thought it was a stenciling technique. I didn't know that paintable wallpaper was a thing. Wow! I'm sold on the idea! The dresser was beautiful!
Right! I didn’t know either until pretty recent. It has the same look as a raised stencil. I love it on nightstand drawer fronts😍

We in uk used to call paintable wallpaper anaglypta. It was often used to cover dodgy plastering.
You can still buy it quite cheaply.

This is really pretty. I actually used this type of wallpaper a few years ago on the sides of a dresser I refinished for a friend. The sides were damaged and I couldn't fix them so I just covered them in the wallpaper and it turned out so pretty

Wow! thank you for the tutorial this turned out gorgeous! I love the wet towel for taking off veneer, i always turn pieces away when i see a veneer. You made it look so easy. The wallpaper was a super added touch. Great job!

The dresser looks beautiful. I love the wallpaper pattern and the crystal knobs add just the right amount of bling. A great way to reuse a banged up but solid piece of furniture.

WOW! I love the wallpaper idea too and the color is amazing. I may have to try it with a 2 tone. I love having a blend of wood stain and paint.
You are just crazy brilliant, I would have NEVER thought in a million years to use this kind of wallpaper for this kind of draw front application. Nothing short of brilliant! I flip homes and so far I have flipped over 34 homes in the past 5 years and I use older or try to reuse the furniture people leave in the homes when they sell them to me and I have not once ever seen this ideal done but you can bet your last dollar I am going to be making this one of my things when I go to redo some bigger projects. I found for some reason alot of people leave their older china cabinets behind. I guess because they are so big and hard to move and I redo them and give it to the people who buy the homes from me as sort of a gift. I am saving this video and sending it to other friends in the house flipping business. Thanks for posting this video.

I am in the process of applying paintable wall paper on a dresser I've flipped.
I watched other videos and tried wetting it and applying it only for it to not adhere to the drawers. I will use this technique in the future!
