@@mmfb3024 I didn’t mean it to be rude. I just think it’s kind of silly to correct a simple spelling error on the Internet. So don’t take my previous post too seriously. 🙂
I mean, personally I think its biggest crime was not being finished (at least 1 more dlc and presumably more patches were planned) due to gearbox firing the entire team, but, to each their own
I never understood all the hate people give Borderlands 1. It was the first game and still a blast to play. The guns are amazing once you understand it. It had mashers. I don’t think all the characters played or felt the same. The story pacing is off but the DLCs are amazing.
I know man :( makes me so sad. Borderlands 1 started it all. People will hold the first Halloween in high regard cause of its legacy. Odd how different games are viewed
Bl 1 is my favorite. I agree that the guns feel more down to earth and rugged but that makes it so good. Also I love the mad max/post apocalyptic feel. Lilith and Brick are my favorite. Knoxx and Ned DLCs slap too Least fav: 3 such a disappointment and I feel terrible for saying that I feel like they lost the good BL2 formula
@@0fficalHellfireGonna watch a few more of your vids for sure, its refreshing to get back to just talking Borderlands when everyone can have an opinion, some of this community's content creators made alot of people feel very unwelcome with the I'm right and your wrong mentality and the shutdown or roasting of any who disagrees, at those points I just stopped engaging or playing the game it was to sad to watch everyone turn on each other
@@lgd6619 i appreciate that, and yeah. It really is disappointing to know that a side of the community will go at your throat if you say something they don’t like. Or even delete comments and threads of valid arguments they don’t agree with. But I like to welcome all opinions over here, as it’s the best way to get the real takes from our biggest fans that really do care. Unfortunately it seems the company’s eyes are more set out on money. That they’ve lost sight of what makes borderlands so great.
The scaling was definitely one of the bigger issues, but most certainly isn't the only downside. One of my biggest issues is the bugs. There are some perks that don't work correctly, or at all, and other things don't work like the explosive resistance from Maliwan parted shields. Most of the raid bosses also have double HP because of a bug left over from Commander Lilith. The ear bleeding sound bug from the car in The Dust too. Then there's also all the exploits like with characters being able to do absurd damage or be practically invincible. The bugs are the #1 issue if not then the 2nd worst issue, easily. There are too many bugs. Then yeah scaling is up there, but that is a part of balance. Balance is #1 or #2. I can't say which one is truly worse, but both are bad. Then there is a ton of minor issues like mesh issues where you can see through the world, collision just being dumb, wrong textures, etc. Gearbox could of just spent a few months fixing most of the bugs and doing a few balance changes and this game could of been so much closer to what is should of been.. but nope, ugh.
@@MrRADicalOfficial yh, i talked about the scaling because that was the only issue i remember that stuck most like a sore thumb to me, the fact most of the playerbase sees it as the best entry in the series baffles me as other games feel much cleaner
Borderlands 3 by far. The writing is worse, the maps are too big for the sake of being big, and I don't think the gameplay is leaps and bounds better like people make it out to be.
I think the Pre Sequel was originally supposed to be a DLC campaign for BL2 but for some reason Gearbox decided to make it a full fledged game, that's probably why some of the missions are stretched beyond belief, the Claptrap DLC slaps though.
your take on The Pre Sequel's story is extremely baffling to me, like yeah, the whole point s that its centered around the past of a character we know does terrible things it's like if you criticized that one Star Wars comic where Darth Vader dreams of betraying Palpatine, going out and rescuing his loved ones, and trying to return to the jedi order. sure, if you changed Darth Vader to any random no-name sith, it would become a bad story, but that is also ignoring the entire premise *of* the story in the first place
Disagree. I like 3 the most. I played 2 for 7 years straight, but late game is boring since you use the same 3 guns. I like doing playthroughs of normal and tvhm, but I still prefer 3s engine and gameplay. And the build diversity is way better.
What build diversity? There is literally 0 gameplay and build diversity in borderlands 3. Characters were so Watered down they might have 1 vault hunter and call it a day…
I would agree with you if endgame didn’t force everyone to use the same 3 annointments. I swear removing those and rebalancing mayhem mode around that change would make 3 so much better.
Not in the initial release of the game, or even the Vita version either. I think you only get that in the Handsome, or Game of the Year edition versions, any game before those, you really don’t have anything.
Borderlands 2 is the greatest borderlands game in the franchise, the pre-sequel for me is always gonna be the second best borderlands game in the franchise I really liked the jokes and the story plus you can play handsome Jack. The worst borderlands game for me has to be new tales from the Borderlands the title is so stupid, I thought the story will probably pick up around about episode 3 nope, I just hope that Crystal doesn't come in to Borderlands 4 because geez that Crystal was Busted. and the second worst borderlands game has to be Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. Borderlands 3 and Tales from the Borderlands just in the middle for me, and the first borderlands game is so underrated and I think the first borderlands game has the best DLC's.
I had a pretty similar experience with bl3 as you lol. I was also a junior in high school when the game came out. I was introduced to the entire series a couple years after bl2 came out, and in between that and the release of bl3 I bought all the games and played all the dlcs. Loved the entire franchise despite it all. Had tons of hours on all three of the games. I was extremely excited for the release of bl3 too, but I missed the first few days of the game’s release due to a band competition 😂. I remember immediately getting it when I got home though. Playing the game was basically the only thing I did outside of school for a couple weeks. After beating the game on a character or two and maxing them out in about three weeks or a month ish I stopped playing the game until like a year later. Ive never bought any of the dlc. I couldn’t get over how drawn out and annoying the story was either. Even a couple weeks ago I was replaying the game and stopped because of the story. My brain can’t stand Eden-6 in particular.
I very much appreciate that :) my biggest video ever is coming soon but thank you so much! That means more than you’ll ever know. Expect to see your name featured in that video!
Love Bl3 just not the story too much or the fact there was no DLC charcters, But I loved the gameplay, exploring and the Dlc's.Bl2 will always be my fav Borderlands game for many reasons.if per-sequal wasent dropped or whatever happened to it (I forgot) it could have been good just not much to do when you beat it imo, BL1 was wise kinda slow but other then that I loved the other stuff and the DLC's, Wonderlands gameplay was fun I enjoyed it just despise the DLC's for what they are still truly a shame
I never got into these games for story. The story was just in the way most of the time for me in all 5 of these games. If I could remake it I would definitely put the story waaayyy in the back seat and let the player explore gather gear and get stronger on his own without having to be road locked. Maybe take a warframe route where instead of you being given a mission but having to get to recommended level before even doing it the mission would only be available after you’ve reached a certain location or level.
Would your list be roughly the same if you focused on raw game play alone? Ignoring the story or characters, but based on "fun" aspect? I feel based on what you were rating in this video, I agreed with all your points and explanations as to why you rated each one.
Yes, my opinion remains the same even without story thrown in. Borderlands 2, TPS, And Borderlands 1 are all more fun for me personally. And I’d rather go back to wonderlands before I install borderlands 3 again. Wasn’t meant to be a worst to best list or anything. Just going in order of the releases here and giving my thoughts on the gripes of the games and if I agree and what not.
My personal order is BL2, TPS, BL1, Wonderlands, BL3. Wonderlands is definitely better than 3 to me primarily because there were some funny moments in it, i only laughed once and barely smiled when i played Borderlands 3. Also Tales From The Borderlands 1 was awesome. I think i saw one trailer on Tales From The Borderlands 2 and just said nope.
Sure BL1 started the franchise and its decent but theres no denying thats its so dated and the skill trees of each vh are limited, the pre-sequel could have done with more dlc and as for wonderlands it has a very limited playthrough but classes and the customizable characters deserves credit and I wouldn't mind seeing more of it in future titles
@@0fficalHellfire damn; I mean, I wasn't apart of the hype train or anything, but I actually enjoyed playing bl3 on release. I don't know if it was because back then the game was new or if it was just favoritism because it was one of the games that gave me an escape when I was feeling depressed. Compared to tps for me, bl3 is a shining star. That is, until they added the endgame content and gave every boss 10 trillion hp alongside a new mayhem system that nobody asked for because it wasn't needed and only served to annoy the fuck out of the player.
@toptierfighter10263 I enjoyed playing bl3 because of the nostalgia, but I found myself rolling my eyes more often than I should have. With Handsome Jack you honestly felt like he was a full character with emotions and goals. He felt terrifying to a degree because you could see how he thought and it made sense to a degree. The bosses of BL3 felt like you asked teenagers to make trendy villains and worry about the personalities later. Their villain arc was literally "our dad was over protective". The biggest way I knew that I didn't like the game was that I dropped it after one play through amd just want back to BL2.
Liked what you said about borderlands 1. I have a lot of good memories of the game, partly why I started making UA-cam videos myself. I also think you had a lot great thoughts on the other games as well. Great video, definitely giving a sub and a like!
idk if it counts but id say wonderlands and i know its story is decent but i dont give a rats ass i dont play arpg's and looter shooters for the damn story lol cause all the mainline games have at least something good, bl2 is a good balance, bl1 has its own cool feel (and mashers), presequel has unique characters to play, and bl3 is a good fuckaround game (save edit a char at the end of the story because of the waiting around haha) if that doesnt count than id say presequel is worst, its not bad, just disappointing cause it never got full support
Man I had the same exact experience with bl3. Was in middle school and bought the pre order and was so exited to play it because like u I thought it was gonna be the best game ever and I quit it after only reaching the second planet because it was just so boring. I ended up playing it more like a year later and completed the story/dlc and I just never really got into it so as for me I’m still kicking it ok bl2
Thanks to MAK’s vid, I’m here…TL;DR all about Legendaries and high end rarities…but read anyway. So…I love…LOVE a shit ton of Legendaries. Generally speaking. I think BL4 should have more than 3 does. HOWEVER….first off, IF it’s the last main title Borderlands game (I’m thinking in terms of guns…35 per manufacturer…see below for an extra idea). If it’s not, yeah give us a much smaller amount like 100 (I looked on lootlemon and there’s 243 usable in game legendary guns, guns only, 384 including everything else). 100 isn’t bad considering. Now initial point on the “however”, is that I do agree that they don’t feel special. They did kind of already address it…a little bit, but it barely made a difference. They significantly lowered the world drop rate. Then gave us the Shlooter artifact that increased loot luck by (after the nerf), iirc…1,000%. All they need to do, is make world drop rarity be like it was in BL2. Here’s an idea of what I think would be cool. You mentioned about getting Legendaries at the very beginning. What you do is either turn off completely, or have their be a switch that again, either turns off, or significantly lowers even dedicated drip chances of the first few bosses from what it usually is at 10% roughly, to maybe 2% (if we are taking a few literally…3…then that’s in BL3; Shiv, Gigamind and Captain Traunt). Then, depending on the number of-necessary-playthroughs, you can turn that switch off (like enabling events from the menu) that says you have completed those playthroughs and it will go back to the regular drop rates. It was also be locked behind completion of all necessary playthroughs. Which leads me into the next thing, while staying on the topic of Legendaries. Having guns and other legendary gear be locked behind mayhem levels. I feel like there’s a contradiction and a double standard going on. You want them to be special and less frequent, and not get them at the very beginning and have the game not be handed to us in a gift bag. That’s one way of doing that. Locking the some of good gear to end game. Cuz boy, if we had something like the Monarch early on?? Lol….granted we can get the Arms Race stuff immediately (lookin at you Plasma Coil), but even then it’s also a DLC, which is paid. The vast majority may not worry about it cuz they have the DLC’s. I feel like far less people (at least initially) got themselves all the content for BL2 than people initially got in BL3. That could be just me tho. So, maybe that DLC argument is moot. But then again, I DESPISE Arms Race. It’s a challenge. For someone who also DESPISES and form of BR…that piece of “content” makes me salty. But yes, overall I’m with you on the Legendaries. The story was trying to reach social media obsessed millennials…that didn’t settle well with me. Worst story for sure. Maya didn’t have to go like that and neither did Typhon. That being said. Someone else already said it. Gameplay, weapons, build diversity, end game, graphics…despite what I’ve said…3 is still my favorite. New idea: as I’ve said…35 per manufacturer (IF LAST BL main title GAME)….but also with…25 pearls, 25 seraph, 25 Effervescent, and as ambitious as this is…25 glitch. Glitch was based off of green rarity in TPS if I’m not mistaken. They were ok, but I didn’t use them that much. Didn’t really like them. Didn’t feel strong enough. So make them based off of blue or even purple. As other people have said, I do like BL2…I just don’t understand the elitists.
Bdl3 story and treatment of characters was unforgivable. Gearbox had me hyped to the moon in the lead up to 3. Then they nuked my favorite bdl creator. RandyP has lost the plot
I think something that would be nice, would be able to play different classes in different games. For example playing the Commando, in the pre sequel or Flaak class in 2
Borderlands 1 is probably the best chill game to play with your buddies. Almost no forced dialogue to listen to so you can just shoot bandits or skags and have a fun time
Pre-sequel to me is the most underrated by far... i remember when i pre-ordered right after coming back from deployment and i just fell in love with how difficult a lot of the bosses were.... (deadlift, rk5.) And to me its easily the hardest game to farm legendaries as well. You actually had to work for that shit! On the other hand, I 100% agree with your take on the stories' pacing, but the character interactions and diologue were completely on point! And to me, the amount of actual thought you had to put into your skill-trees made it all the more interesting... Unfortunately as most say and i would agree.... it still feels so incomplete especially endgame wise.... RIP my girl Athena.... BL4 better deliver... i loved playin Zane in 3 i wont lie, but that game completely ruined the concept of legendary items for me... Ps: THAT GRINDER THOUGH
Man I really hate bl2 elitists, because I listened to them once, I hated bl3 when I had never played it Then I played it while waiting for wonderlands to release and I consider it the best game in the series -Best gunplay -Best visuals -Most weapons out of all the borderlands games -Most viable guns and builds -Most endgame content -Great augment system -Multiple action skills per character -Best co-op And for the worst I'd have to pick Bl1, I still really enjoy it and I dont think there is such a thing as a bad borderlands game, but its very outdated by todays standards
Ikr, BL3 has a lotta flaws, but BL2 people idk why try to make this the worst game in the planet lol BL3 is pretty good gameplay wise (the story i agree was garbage), good improvements and maliwan takedown is awesome. I really like bl2 tho, but those people who main bl2 and shit on bl3 kinda get on my nerves sometimes
I don’t even mind the excessive legendaries in 3 that much. Other than the previously mentioned issues with the story and world design, my biggest issues come from the balancing and annointments. Before mayhem levels every legendary gun, which comes out in droves, one shots almost everything, it’s stupid easy. Meanwhile, at the higher mayhem levels you need to abuse the only 3 good annointments to kill anything. The combination of these burnt me out on 3 super quick. Even after modding 3 and wonderlands I still struggle to come back to them. Meanwhile 2 and the pre sequel I can return to easily at any time.
I am just about in the same boat with your opinions here. I really want them to jump back to the roots of the 1st game being gritty and more of an abandoned struggling tone. I absolutely loved the wasteland feel of the 1st game, it almost has a survival feel to it if that makes sense. The pace of the game is slower which is what people didn't like about borderlands 3, but the slower pace (apart from limits of hardware from 2009) really suited the game well. Imagine if Borderlands 1 was really corny with all poop jokes and the "humor" of Borderlands 3, but kept the same pace and gritty graphics, it would not work. Borderlands 3 was pretty much exactly that. Imagine a game like Skyrim having borderlands 3's humor....... Borderlands 2's pacing, humor, and story really fit the tone in the same way Borderlands 1 did. The way weapons felt was definitely different with bullet speed and recoil sway and all of that, but it kind of worked for the game. I miss skill trees not being about stats, but rather buffing what made your character unique...the action skill. I miss guns that feel raw and story that was gritty like Borderlands 1 along with the whole atmosphere of the game (gore was satisfying as well). Borderlands 3 and wonderlands gunplay feels really numb, all guns have unsatisfying feedback when using them. I also think they should simplify the buffs like in borderlands 2. Things like: Grenade/splash/area damage weapon/gun damage melee damage action skill/ability damage Borderlands 2: grenade damage pretty much buffed anything that did splash damage, damage buffs pretty much buffed everything etc Borderlands 3: separated pretty much everything to the point it was hard to tell which buff affected what parts of your build and made it very unsatisfying and ultimately annoying to make a build accordingly.
Dude the guns in 1 and 2 sounded and felt like I’m firing a nerf gun at a T. rex. I don’t know what game you were playing thinking it was bl3 but in the bl3 I played the guns felt and sounded amazing there is not one complaint besides yours I’ve read that said anything bad about how guns handle. And weapon buffs make it difficult to create a build? Dude can you not read the annointments tell you what it for and what it does. If a gun is anointed for Zane’s mantis cannon you probably shouldn’t try to buff fl4ks rakk attack with it.
@@nathanhendrickson790 yes, the sounds are great, but everything else feels numb and floaty. The nerf guns against a t-rex part has nothing to do with my comment, i was not referencing anything about game balance. You completely missed my point on the stat buffs and not knowing what gets buffed. I am referring to what damage (mainly hidden/undisclosed) types fall under each category and that there really doesn't need to be that many categories, a simple example from BL3: area damage + splash damage...why are they both needed, just merge them as one? And you probably don't see any complaints about gunplay because people have stopped playing bl3 because of reasons like these.
@@FinancialStorm7 it’s still pretty popular matter of fact as I’m typing this comment almost 205 thousand players are playing it and right at this momement bl2 is sitting at a player count of 3,002. Yeah no one is playing bl3 you right? So you hate the game because you can’t figure out what damage type does what?
@@FinancialStorm7 plus have you ever fired a gun before? I have. And bl3 is closer to that feeling and sound than bl2 ever was. And finally you sound like your simply nitpicking stuff that literally nobody cares about just to be dramatic about it and make the game look bad because it didn’t cater to you
I’ve only played 1 and 2 so far love them both. At first I was favoring part 1 but around maybe level 20 of part 2 I realized why 2 so beloved. I did like in part 1 u can see an image of the weapon with its specific parts just by the thumbnail on the card that pops up, but in 2 u only get the silhouette and the thumbnails seems lower definition within the inventory. I assume this may have been to carve out time for the 3D turntable view which is awesome so can’t complain.
BL1 is the worst because it barely had an established story other than "Find the vault, open the vault... Oh yeah and Angel is a Hyperion satellite. I wonder if thats a sequel teaser." Idc what anyone says, BL1 gunplay and movement is horrendous. The only sin Pre-sequel commited was basically being a large BL2 dlc
I liked hearing your opinion. I'm a strong fan of borderlands playing 2 on launch on xbox 360. My opinion does differ though. Personally I like borderlands 3 because of the graphics, insane guns you can find, and beautiful world design. I will admit the main story is well bad. but if you've played any of the dlc's besides from arms race you would know that the story gets really good in them. I think borderlands 3 suffers from the fact it's the middle story. Borderlands 2 was the first game they were planning a sequel in and so they were able to set up new characters and make new stuff happen. I'm not the biggest fan of 2 either from the insane meat munching, lip sucking this game has gotten over the past decade. or the fact that I've played the game's story probably 100 times. 3 allows me to turn off my brain after a long day and kill some bandits. I might not be able to convince you, but I would recommend going back redownloading 3 and giving it another chance through the eyes of there's a sequel coming. I believe you would enjoy it.
I agree with you about Wonderlands. It lost something to me compared to the others in the series. I put some 6 or 7 thousand hours into BL2. I fell in love with Borderlands first game as it fit my playstyle. I created multiples of each character. The Pre Sequel was also great fun for me. I loved content creators always giving me a reason to farm an area for some unique weapon or gear. Borderlands 3, yes it was easier, but I created more characters in that game than all the rest. I probably put 5 or 6 thousand hour in it between Epic and Steam. I am a little skeptical about the upcoming BL4. I hear it is going to be a equity and inclusion farse. I will wait on it until I see some reviews before getting it.
I’m in agreement with you about Wonderlands, it’s the Bud Light in the series. Also, God bless your grandparents, they did the right thing. Good people.
Wonderlands was fun for a single playthrough, any more replaying it is so useless. I regret buying at launch with its basic ass pointless chaos chamber style dlcs
@@TreadingtheBorderlandsme too bought the stupid chaotic editon or whatever its called just to get the shittiest post launch content in the franchise. Not even a single meaningful story related DLC.
Wonderlands was definitely a big step up from 3 it still suffers from a story and endgame standpoint but the customization boss fights and maps were all so awesome
Idk what it is that makes bl2 so fun and replayable but all the other games are on about the same level for me i play the story once get my character to max level fart around for a bit and don’t touch them again. I’ll always go back to bl2 every now and again but i don’t touch the other games. Something about it.
you know you gave solid reasons for not liking bl3, personally i really enjoy 3, love the build diversity and mayhem levels arent that bad, loot stuck behind it just gives u incentive to aim higher as well as maintain build diversity, unlike 2 in which u have to have the same overall build for each character to even make a dent, which is honestly a little ridiculous and boring, for me at least. but you said something that resonated with me, and thats how without jack, pre-sequel would have been more trash storywise, and that there is the biggest reason people hate on borderlands 3, its no jack or no jack-like villain, and to that i say, did you miss the joke? bl3 feels like a parody of itself for starters, which is a reason why i enjoy the fuck out of it, but i noticed that the twins, the whole shtick was totally on purpose for two reasons; 1. you never do same act twice, pre-sequel jack and bl2 jack arent the same character so we can ignore that blunder. and 2. they were 100% making fun of that whole tiktoker vlogger bullshit that surged during the time of this games release. on top of that there IS a story reason why the twins are so cringe and stupid, which many people most likely ignore cuz they were too busy hating on the game instead of paying attention. understandable, but dumb either way. the other thing is that yeah, you may get a buttfuck ton of legendaries in this game, but thankfully, unlike in 2, 70% of them are meh at best, or completely useless and why was this put in this game to begin with, so u still might get fucked, why they made them legendaries? cuz they have gimicks, as you said this game was more of an attempt at a spectacle. now if you ask me what kills borderlands 3, its not the legendaries, its not the twins, its not that it feels like a baby game(to me it feels like any other game, so i truly dont get that comment) its ava and the direction they took with her, everything about her character, and how they wrote everything surrounding her like she the only MC, yeah, thats what fucked borderlands 3 for me. a clearly self insert character expressing every mary sue trope fucking possible, only to ignore main characters from 1 to give her the bloody spotlight like the new rey skywalker, that shit kills the whole fucking game for me regardless of how much fun i have with everything else. truth be told i love this franchise, but honestly, 1 was great, 2 is extremely and unreasonably overrated to the point of godhood, pre-sequel is underrated but bloated, and 3 is just a fever dream. wonderlands is part of 3's fever dream xD. again im just giving my opinion too as well(hopefully) as trying to give a different perspective.
This was a well written response, really good read and I’d recommend for anyone annoyed with me for disliking 3. I actually touched on Ava in my commentary but decided to edit it out entirely as the main flaws I have aren’t to do with the story. As story has never been the reason I’ve come back to these games. As for the twins, I understand what they were going for. But, as someone who hates the “tiktok” cringe culture. I’d rather that be left out of games. My reasoning in saying it was a “baby’s game” is I didn’t feel the challenge in borderlands 3. It felt like everything was so laid out for the player. Instead of letting us figure out what was good. They fucked the balance completely in this game for me. The amount of legendaries and just overall insane weapons that are so easy obtain make it so repetitive and boring for me. Sure they made obtaining perfect variants harder as a balance but it also over complicated the part system, anoints are stupid, and flooded damn near every loot pool with legendary and legendary on legendary. All of these baffling calls are just a couple of the multitude of issues I have with the third game. I do enjoy hearing the other side of of the argument though and I appreciate your response! Take care my friend
If I had to pick a worst BL game I'd say BL3 for story, Wonderlands for endgame, and BL2 for the repetitive start but to be fair I didn't have the Lilith DLC at the time. BL1 maybe could make the list but it was also the first game of the series so I wouldn't say it's bad given it started it all. I've also never finished the game so there is that. I will say my favourite is probably BL3 for the playable characters and the gameplay mechanics. And not for the sea of legendary gear... it definitely doesn't feel legendary.
The best part of bl3 and wonderlands is the gameplay cause it feels a lot more fluid and better to play than the others, also being able to slide and mantle things is a dope ass feature. 2 will always be my number 1 tho
I dunno, man, I can’t really see justifying calling the story, in terms of narrative at least, garbage. The pacing, yeah, OK, fine, I’ll grant you that one. The narrative is actually great-we get to take an inside look into how Jack went from just an average guy working for Hyperion-a hero, if you will, who lives long enough to see himself become the proverbial villain. When we defeat The Sentinel, guarding dangerous knowledge at the end of the game and Jack sits on the throne and sees a vision of what the future holds, it sets up the events of _Borderlands 2_ and hints that we will be stopping the by then Handsome Jack from terraforming Pandora and wiping out everything living on the planet. While he sees that as the best thing for the planet and even the universe, the Crimson Raiders and the vault hunters think the planet is worth saving and that maybe they can win new hearts and minds to their cause if they can stop Handsome Jack, and maybe he won’t become a martyred figure for ALL the bandits, psychos and marauders. I’d take BLTPS’ story over BL3’s any day of the week.
Fair, my only reason for calling it garbage. Was if you detach borderlands 2 from the pre sequel for a second. Throw all that out the window for me. If Jack wasn’t in pre sequel. And it was instead a new villain exclusive to that game. I don’t think it would’ve come close to the impact it had.
Also, a common complaint that _could_ be made-I don’t know if the majority of people who have played it also think this-about BLTPS is that it doesn’t have enough of an end game to keep coming back to play it after finishing UVHM. I mean, you’ve got what? • Iwajira (hidden boss in Serenity’s Waste) •Holodome (MEH) •Invincible Empyrean Sentinel (YAY.) • Claptrap DLC (But farming ECLIPSE/EOS just isn’t fun IMHO) And that’s all, folks. Honestly, if they would have done more QA testing and gotten rid of the tons of bugs and glitches that plagued the game on launch instead of needing to patch it, maybe it would’ve sold better, and allowed 2K Australia to stay open and develop and release all the planned DLCs besides Claptrap- _Luxy’s Space Adventure_ , for one, which I believe was meant to be DLC 2, and in roughly mid-development when the studio was closed. That’s why I think a lot of the sentiment about it is that it has so much wasted potential. It’s a solid 7½/10 game for me, but I don’t find myself going back to it very often because my experience is like the title of the 1998 BNL classic song-It’s all been done before.
pre sequal is the worst i don't even count wonderlands as borderlands. I don't count tales as games. The best is BL1 you cant count the quality becasue of the time it came out. The overall feel of it and the gore. Ever blown a pysco's head off or killed a skag with sledges shotgun? That gun is the most fun in the entire franchise you can stun a spider ant then blow is abdomen into bits, imagine if that gun was farmable as you scale up. That is just one example. How about the volcano? my god have you ever set a bruiser on fire with that gun and heard them scream OMG I'm on fire or the way they enemies get electrocuted is hillarious. Name one map like sleges safehouse and the late game maps were way ahead of their time. I disagree about BL3, it had some of those moments, ie ever use the Breath of the dying with FL4k for mobbing? And in BL3 you can actually beat the raid bosses, in BL2 they are a mess late game. Each game has its good parts. In Bl4 they need the golaiths of BL2 and the gore of BL1 bring back the psycos of BL1 and sledges shotgun.
Alright, i get your bl3 criticisms to an extent but as someone who has played bl1, bl2, and bl3 i think youre being too harsh. Sure maybe the fast travel system might discourage people from exploring nooks and crannies but it also makes farming a lot more efficient+it's entirely optional.
pre-sequel would sit higher on my list if it weren't for the whole running out of air thing. it's a simple mechanic, and i get why it's there, but it was way more annoying than it needed to be. i actually just started playing bl2 again a little while ago. i definitely don't know things about farming and raid bosses, so these videos could definitely be helpful.
1. Borderlands 2 2. Borderlands 3 3. Borderlands the pre-sequel 4. Borderlands 1 5. Wonderlands I like all the games each having things i feel are better but two is timeless for me
Nobody should be trash-talking my bl1 guns. There are literally my 13yr childhood dreams. My brother 21 me 12. We played this for so long every year over and over again.❤
I like that bl3 took a a lot of risks so now they hopefully know what not to do. BL3 to me also had some of the best combat. That’s really the only positive I have for it tho. End game was grave and no raid bosses was so dumb
I'm a bit late to the video but I'm cautiously optimistic for borderlands 4. Watch the writing, be a combination of borderlands 3 and new tales of the borderlands. 😂😢
I love this video. Well edited, and an enjoyable narrator to listen to. Also you can tell theres alot of details added to give a better understanding of the games. So this better blow up
@0fficalHellfire dang bro💯 also I think we all know the bl2 dlc's are what carry the game and the fans. I mean yeah it's a great game with a good story, but the dlc's is what makes it alot better than bl1
I personally don't think any of the games are necessarily bad or the worst in the franchise. I think each installment in the franchise did at least one thing better than all the others and that's how I look at it. If I'm in the mood for one thing specific I can jump on the game that does it best. For example if I want that gritty feeling of the early 2000s game I go for BL1 if I'm in the more for good story and end game I go for BL2 if I'm in the mood for end game and fairly easy loot I go for BL3 if I'm in the mood to admire the amazing world design I got WL. If I'm in the mood for BL2 but something a bit different I go for the pre-sequel. I think that if Gearbox and 2k did look at what they did well for all the different games in the franchise and listen to the community feel back they can have an amazing next installment in the franchise
Not only could I not finish the Pre-Sequel because it wasn't fun, but I now also can't stand to hear an Australian accent on UA-cam. It could be a video describing how awesome VinceLyle2161 is, but if it's in the Australian accent, I wouldn't watch it.
I still enjoyed BL3 for the most part, but it was mostly because FL4K is one of my favorite characters conceptually. Pets are my shit, and I love the creatures in borderlands, so it's always got a soft spot for me. BL2 will always be the GOAT though.
Game play wise bl 1, story wise bl3, graphics either bl1 or presequal. And generally dont like the tell tale games. Tho if we are talking about them then that second game was complete trash
For its BL2, BL the Pre-Sequel, BL1, Wonderland, and BL3 being the worst I beat the first playthrough with Fl4K including all the DLC and never wanted to re-download to play the game ever again I never been so disappointed.
My List from best to worst: 1-Borderlands 2 (Best Overall) 2-Borderlands 1 (Underated but still very fun) 3-Pre Sequal (Start of the wait here while I talk for 3 hours but has good action skills, definitly don't go for true/ultimate vault hunter though) 4-Borderlands 3 (Fun if you delete dialouge files, but will still have the horrible aftertaste of that god-awful plot) 5-Tiny Tina's Wonderlands (Guns and story were god awful)
i just realized i've been getting your vids in my feed for over a month and i didnt even sub yet lol time to change that i love how consistent your upload schedule is, as well as the type of videos you're making. also to keep this comment related to the video, in my opinion BL1 is the worst. Sure it laid the foundation for all things borderlands, and i do take into consideration that its a bit dated, but to me the game is just visually boring. It's all empty spaces, maps look all the same, the color palette is very monotone, and gunplay, especially with snipers (which is my main weapon type) feels horrendously slow. I also feel like there are occasional spikes in difficulty, like Sledge or the big mega psycho bruiser guy dude that you fight in that one arena. Might be just a skill issue on my end but yea. Also not having a minimap in the regular version felt like something is missing. I'm glad that was added in the new GOTY version, but still. BL3 in my opinion isn't the worst. Sure it has the worst main villains, i mean what were they thinking? live streaming poop-fart-joke teens that are absolutely not entertaining in the slightest? man thats rough. The main base game is indeed not fun, although a lotta side quests and side activities are fun and cool. The lategame on mayhem 11 is where the game really begins for me. Playing through the DLCs, the side quests, and everything inbetween on Mayhem 11 as well as farming and building your character and all that has never felt more rewarding than in BL3 imo. Might just be due to the overabundance of fancy screen effects and frequent legendaries, but it does keep me engaged for a looooong time. I'd bet that out of my entire playtime on steam in BL3, roughly 70% of that is all just lategame grind. Without BL3's lategame being so welcoming and fun, i wouldnt even have started to play UVHM in BL2. Yea thats right, before BL3 i never played UHVM in BL2. The time required to get yourself the propper gear for a propper build, plus the requirement of slag weaponry felt lowkey intimidating to a casual like myself. So i just never bothered. Even TVHM felt rather challenging at times to me, which is why i didnt play it as often. BL3 is a great game imo, once you're through the main story and turn on Mayhem mode at least. Here is my personal ranking of all mainline games from best down to worst - BL2 - BL3 - BL: TPS - BL1 There should be a big gap between TPS and BL1 tbh as the fun and playtime i have in either of the two is hugely different lol Does anyone even read this long wall of text? Yo if anyone is reading this pls commen the word Banana lol imagine one day this recieves enough "banana" replies to make this video appear on YT searches for anything banana related. that'd be funny
I think if you factor in the time they released, and that ideally they should be learning and improving from each game, 3 is by far the worst for me. A solid looter shooter with a bad story is novel in 2009. In 2019 its nothing special. There were so many other games doing the loot thing as time went on. Gearbox never really took things to the next level with 3 and I am honestly worried 4 will be about as unimpressive once everyone gets over the shiny visuals. TPS is in my running because I really don't like how few dedicated sources for legendaries there were. It was way too much world drops. Looking in vending machines and the grinder is not really amazing gameplay. Leveling to max was also not very well balanced in terms of the xp and the actual content to get it in. Its a different team, but they did have the BL2 blueprint. Its clear they didn't study the endgame section very much. But I still really like some of the builds of TPS, the writing, and the double jump and slam. That and adjusting for the time it came out, I think its slightly better than BL3.
I beat borderlands 1 once, I beat borderlands 2 too many times that I can’t even count, borderlands 3 I made it to the 3rd planet and I’m so bored that I don’t wanna play anymore and it’s crazy because i find the movement fire and the skill trees amazing with these unique abilities (besides the fact amara is just multiple siren abilities but i never really wanted to play siren anyways) but they lost the uniqueness they had like the clunky menu and the fonts of the writing all changed to this new like minimalist look while still being too much stuff on the screen for me to tell wtf was going on and the writing just completely shifted not just in terms of pacing but being flat out cringe i mean the 2nd game was like a good dad joke funny while the 3rd was like this nerdy cringe that tried too hard to be funny that it missed entirely. The Tales characters also completely switch up like Rhys and Vaughn don’t talk which is whatever but Vaughn instead of running his little Hyperion group is now just a idiot scared running around in his underwear like WTF HAPPENED?? And the twins WHO ARE THE MAIN ANTAGONISTS just are these douchey influencers like they don’t even feel like villains they just feel like annoying and tedious. Jack was a guy who was threatening us all the time literally gives us a side quest to commit off a ledge whereas these twins make a compilation of Lilith losing her powers. Not just that but in 2 when Roland dies whether you like him or not you probably were ready to kill Jack and seeing how distraught everyone was about it in sanctuary but in 3 when Maya died it’s just move on and have this shitty ceremony where 5 people just sit there and listen to Tannis give a ted talk… borderlands 3 is a steamy pile of shit that didn’t live up to all the hype of being better than borderlands 2
I dont get the hate for bl3. The story is ass, but the gameplay is superb. Definetly the best in the franchise. The areas are also beautiful, interesting and fun.
I'm definitely late (and in the minority) but I've gotta say Borderlands 1 is the worst in my eyes. I found the graphics, gameplay, and sound design headache inducing. BL2 was by far the best, but... Honestly, BL3 was second best in my eyes, just off the back of its gameplay. Story sucked and the weapons were worse than 2, but it looked nice and (again) was just very fun to play. My favorite feeling in the series is running around as Krieg as a badass. Second favorite is running around as Zane with his movement speed skills.
You said uniques whites blues and I’d argue bl3 gives you shit legendaries at the start at best, it’s a nerf gun and a water gun it’s literalist just for being unique
I don't have enough time in one to form an opinion on that but imo TPS is by far the worst mainly due to the failed potential I get 3 also had failed potential but updates and DLC pretty much fixed my issues with the game it's still not 2 but nothing will ever beat 2
Huh, BL 1 was the worst for me! It's not a bad game, but it is boring, more so than any other main entry. It's monotonous and it has the most boring vault hunter skills. It makes sense, since it's the first one and it was finding it's footing, and the following games made use of it and improved on it. That's sucess in my book...
Really....the 3. That was surprising. I love bl3 so much I loved bl2. Tps was the wirst for me. UNFORTUNATELY is the bl3 really fucking easy bc messed up healing skills. I mained flak all the time so I didnt suffer from that
Damn BL3 definitely isn't my favorite but I do feel like you went a little hard on it. Granted, the story is the worst in the series, legacy characters were kinda shit on and ruined, the villains are cringey and annoying. But at the same time the art design/maps are gorgeous, the guns feel better than they ever have, and I actually liked the QoL improvements like being able to fast travel anywhere at any time, the co-opetition mechanic. Not to mission the insane build diversity, something that has aged the worst with BL1. Also it is pretty easy but thats what mayhem levels are for, and its where the game goes from good to almost great. For me TPS is the worst bar none. I have started 3 different playthroughs on that game and never made it more than 2 hours. Actual unplayable garbage imo. I have a couple friends who speedran the main story missions just to see the story and they even admitted they only enjoyed the very last mission, partly because it was almost over lmao. Wonderlands had the potential to be BL2 tier but ended up just being this unfinished product with one foot in being a full game and the other foot being a big dlc. So sad and frustrating that they abandoned the game so quickly. BL2 is and will probably always be the best. BL1 stands the test of time as well. Everyone keeps asking for a BL2 remaster but honestly I think a BL1 remake with updated skill trees, the new engine and maybe another DLC would be even better.
Compared to 3, the 1st's story makes it waaaaay more replayable for me. No one can't say it has characters that were so annoying, you wanted to physically strangle the writers. And in my not-so-humble opinion Nine-Toes, Sledge, Baron Flynt, and even Commandant Steele were better antagonists than the Cuntlypsos.
I feel like Gearbox never gets balance right. Bl2 didn't have good balance with Op10 scaling and Bl3 is just too easy. The most balanced game in the series is Bl1 and it's still on the easier side of things.
@@0fficalHellfire Borderlands 3 is loaded with end game content. I don't think it's as good in quality as BL2, but in quantity it's probably the most in the franchise. TPS had the problem that, while it was arguably the best balanced in the series for endgame, it had less to do than either the game before it or after it.
@@0fficalHellfire Could you please stop lying for once. You're embarrassing yourself. Bl3 literally has the most endgame content in the series. Just stop talking about Bl3 altogether. Your lack of knowledge about that game is pathetic and it shows.
@@0fficalHellfire Stop it! You're so annoying. Bl3 has the most endgame content. That's a fact. In addition to that the content is fun. Takedowns, repeatable slaughters and trials are objectively better content than 10 unrewarding, buggy and tedious bulletsponges.
Borderlands 1 to me barely had a story, Borderlands 2 story to me was only really good for Handsome Jack, didn't really care, same with borderlands pre sequel with Jack, and I didn't care much for Borderlands 3 story, I only play these games for the guns and loot, all I care about is the gameplay, and I'd rather choose balanced Borderlands 3 end game than Borderlands 2 unbalanced endgame.
Yo me, pre sequel was the biggest flop, don't get me wrong I liked the game here and there, but it just wasn't fun to do or even replay the story. Bl3 was a great game a launch, just needed a few tweaks to certain characters and the would've been golden, then they decided to nerf characters versatility in the game and some guns that were really good r now unusualable
I feel like you cant say BL3 is easy unless you have solo’d the guardian and maliwan takedowns on mayhem 11 with the true trials switch on. Also BL3 end game is great imo there’s so much you can do. Obviously the story was kinda shit but it’s not nearly as bad as everyone made it out to be. Also how many more old characters do you want?? They’re pretty much all in the game and dlcs. About the legendaries obviously they’re easier to acquire in bl3 then they are in bl2, but the farming isn’t dead, it’s just different. You’re farming for god rolls in bl3 mostly, not the item itself. I’m on my first playthrough of bl2 currently level 65 and I gotta say there’s nothing enjoyable about this end game at least not yet for me. Having to refarm gear every few levels, just to be able to xp farm is crazy. Not to mention the levels are a crawl, has anyone actually done the math on how many slappy or zafford kills u need to go from just lvl 50-80. It’s gotta be over 5000 save quits… that’s absolutely psychotic, while having to refarm gear in between. You can say BL2 is more challenging or whatever, but leveling up isn’t a challenge to me, it’s just a massive time investment and boring doing the same 3-4 “viable” xp farms. I find myself just grinding because of how much time I already spent going for OP10, not because I’m having fun anymore which is unfortunate because the first story playthrough was fantastic. The next two mandatory playthroughs and the eventual OP10 reset for quest rewards is not so fantastic… I hope the end game is worth it…
So borderlands 3 is bad because it’s too easy? That’s like saying Elden ring is bad because you can summon anytime and don’t have to take a ten minute walk back to a boss if you die. And that game was game of the year. I get it you want the lightning in a bottle that was borderlands 2 all over again and yes bl3 is easier and yes the story sucked but I didn’t get into borderlands for any of that. Didn’t care about Roland, didn’t care about blood wing, didn’t care about angel I just wanted loot drops and those guys were flat out roadblocking me. If I want a good compelling story I’ll load up Elden ring and pull Alexander out of a hole or help blaidd and Ranni or just say fuck this place and burn it all down with the flame of frenzy but if I just want to shoot and fight raid bosses that what I play borderlands for and bl3 sounds like the quickest way I can do that especially if I can use speed running techniques to speed through the story.
Imo Purely because of the farming, the pre-sequel is the WORST borderlands game for me. I haven't played wonderlands yet, but from what I've heard and seen it operates almost like tps grinder but worse because its more rng, but i dont know. But yeah, to even get a legendary you wanted in tps you needed to farm for a purple which just simply didnt exist because their drop rates were dogshit. and farm ANOTHER boss that respawned that gave you a legendary you didnt want and had an abysmal drop rate. And on top of that depending on the class of weapon you needed 150 to damn near 400 moonstones which IN ITSELF is an INSANE farm. And top it all off with barely ANY legendaries having an actual drop source that also WASNT a one time kill, yeah gearbox can go f themselves. I mean, the game had SO much potential. but the execution was just terrible. You know its bad when the community makes a better game than the actual developers. Unfortunately im a console player and cant download community patches, but god if i could i would actually want to play the game i paid for. It actually made me want to quit all borderlands games. Not to mention dlc legendaries and moonstone bonuses... Actual shit on a stick.
I don't think Borderlands 1 was bad, but it never made me feel like replaying it, so there's that. Borderlands 2 is also my favorite, not a surprising opinion here. It is the reason why I never felt like replaying BL1, because it's just one of those sequels that renders its predecessor obsolete. It is also one of those games that I keep coming back to. I only played the Pre-Sequel once, and it was pretty forgetable, I barely remember anything from it. Borderlands 3 was dreadful, I couldn't get far into it. I know that the story shouldn't be the main appeal of a looter shooter, but when it's too obnoxious, it's just unbearable. Rather just have a bland, boring story than a cringefest. I suppose, ultimately, I'm not a Borderlands franchise fan, just a Borderlands 2 fan.
Pre sequel is the second best game in the series in my opinion I really like the story, and it also had in my opinion better gun play than bl2. It really just need an overhaul of more content
New Tales from the Borderlands, Tales from the borderlands, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, pre sequel, borderlands 1-2-3,these last 3 are up for debate, I like Borderlands 3 the best for gameplay, tech, scaling, the 1st 3 mentioned were TRASH and should NOT have been made,-and thats the reason for 2k/GB are up for sale, lets stop the woke crap BS , get back to more adult campaign w after game, shoot em in the face , get the loot fun!
Idk man borderlands 3 has my favourite combat style, the guns always feel fun and different the vault hunters are some of the best and overall i just really enjoyed it, but the writing was ass. But i also do appreciate that borderlands 2 was good in the aspects of the story i commonly struggle to work up the will to play it again due to its slower combat style and the enemies feeling kinda meh and i dont really like farming for weapons, (crazy i know) so i never really get legendarys or even purples so the loot feels really boring as well.
great video. just heads up you spelled the word ‘characters’ wrong, other than that this video is spot on. keep it up 👍🏼

@@a.grimes4202 you’re good, i was just being sarcastic. i was just trying to help one of my favorite creators
Presequels biggest crime was making a lot of big bosses with all the fun cool loot only killable once per playthrough😢
for real😭 I love tps but whyyyy
I mean, personally I think its biggest crime was not being finished (at least 1 more dlc and presumably more patches were planned) due to gearbox firing the entire team, but, to each their own
@@internetidiot9877if tps had a full dlc cycle it would be second best in the series
Still is to me@@graemeclark6680
It's biggest crime was not enough dedicated sources
Knoxx and Ned DLCs slap too
Least fav: 3 such a disappointment and I feel terrible for saying that I feel like they lost the good BL2 formula
Presequel to me personally has the best made skilltrees in the series
Couldn’t agree more my man
@@0fficalHellfireGonna watch a few more of your vids for sure, its refreshing to get back to just talking Borderlands when everyone can have an opinion, some of this community's content creators made alot of people feel very unwelcome with the I'm right and your wrong mentality and the shutdown or roasting of any who disagrees, at those points I just stopped engaging or playing the game it was to sad to watch everyone turn on each other
@@lgd6619 i appreciate that, and yeah.
And final bosses too. The Sentinel is (to me) the best final boss of any main story. Eclipse/EOS is also great.
I feel the enemy lvl scaling on borderlands 2 was the only downside
And slag
@@Zargex slag wasn't all that bad though
@@Zargex With proper balancing there is nothing wrong with slag. So like he said, scaling, which is balance.
Are you my long last brother? Are opinions couldn’t be any closer 😭
I think the Pre Sequel was originally supposed to be a DLC campaign for BL2 but for some reason Gearbox decided to make it a full fledged game, that's probably why some of the missions are stretched beyond belief, the Claptrap DLC slaps though.
This is very likely to be true. Pre sequel is in that borderlands 1 category where it doesn’t really get enough love imo.
No it’s not
your take on The Pre Sequel's story is extremely baffling to me, like yeah, the whole point s that its centered around the past of a character we know does terrible things
it's like if you criticized that one Star Wars comic where Darth Vader dreams of betraying Palpatine, going out and rescuing his loved ones, and trying to return to the jedi order. sure, if you changed Darth Vader to any random no-name sith, it would become a bad story, but that is also ignoring the entire premise *of* the story in the first place
I just think without handsome Jack it would be an awful story. That’s my opinion
Where that killer six comment that MAK made a video on ? Did it get deleted or is it just buried in all the comments ¿
It’s still there, think his comment may have dislikes so you may have to scroll
"You don't just get handed the best loot in the game!"
Borderlands 2's fireworks grenade: 🎶Please allow me to introduce myself...🎶

If looking at simple level hurts your brain you should probably see a doctor you may have epilepsy or are prone to seizures
Just joined up btw, love this franchise i got my 12 yr old into it and everything. You make excellent talkin points and quality content. Keep it up 🤙🏾
I very much appreciate that :) my biggest video ever is coming soon but thank you so much!
Hey man, I think wonderlands was a hell of a upgrade from 3. But I agree with everything you said here💪
@@0fficalHellfire damn; I mean, I wasn't apart of the hype train or anything, but I actually enjoyed playing bl3 on release.
That's awesome! Glad you liked it
@@0fficalHellfirewill you be making a which borderlands game is the best video?
I’m with hellfire: I’m not sure who they made bl3 for, but it was not me and that breaks my heart to this day but it is what it is
idk if it counts but id say wonderlands and i know its story is decent but i dont give a rats ass i dont play arpg's and looter shooters for the damn story lol
cause all the mainline games have at least something good, bl2 is a good balance, bl1 has its own cool feel (and mashers), presequel has unique characters to play, and bl3 is a good fuckaround game (save edit a char at the end of the story because of the waiting around haha)
if that doesnt count than id say presequel is worst, its not bad, just disappointing cause it never got full support
Respect 🫡
@@0fficalHellfire respect back, i dont hate anyone for not liking bl3, gearbox just doesnt ever learn haha
Right there with you man. I’ve tried and tried to enjoy it. But no matter how hard I do try, it ends In disappointment.
For me there is not a bad Borderlands game ...but they do require different playing styles..
In the words of Carl from aqua teen hunger force “wow… what waste… the poor children…”
I think something that would be nice, would be able to play different classes in different games.
For example playing the Commando, in the pre sequel or Flaak class in 2
Borderlands 1 is probably the best chill game to play with your buddies. Almost no forced dialogue to listen to so you can just shoot bandits or skags and have a fun time
I should try it again some time, but I just can't seem to click with the original borderlands... Not even really sure why.
bl3 shat on my childhood memories, I genuinely hate it and never launched it after 1 play-through on the release
Don’t blame you and I wish I could say the same :(
Pre-sequel to me is the most underrated by far... i remember when i pre-ordered right after coming back from deployment and i just fell in love with how difficult a lot of the bosses were....
"Looting air" 😂😂
💀💀💀
Man I really hate bl2 elitists, because I listened to them once, I hated bl3 when I had never played it
Then I played it while waiting for wonderlands to release and I consider it the best game in the series
-Best gunplay
-Best visuals
-Most weapons out of all the borderlands games
-Most viable guns and builds
-Most endgame content
-Great augment system
-Multiple action skills per character
-Best co-op
And for the worst I'd have to pick Bl1, I still really enjoy it and I dont think there is such a thing as a bad borderlands game, but its very outdated by todays standards
Bl3 has a shit story but it’s really not a bad game I have like 400 hours in it and the more I play the more I like it
Ikr, BL3 has a lotta flaws, but BL2 people idk why try to make this the worst game in the planet lol
BL3 is pretty good gameplay wise (the story i agree was garbage), good improvements and maliwan takedown is awesome.
I really like bl2 tho, but those people who main bl2 and shit on bl3 kinda get on my nerves sometimes
@@LuiRMI totally agree, BL3 is getting hated too much primarily by BL2 elitist
Mayhem mode is a mess. It completely breaks the game in more ways than one.
Things like:
Grenade/splash/area damage
weapon/gun damage
melee damage
action skill/ability damage
Borderlands 2: grenade damage pretty much buffed anything that did splash damage, damage buffs pretty much buffed everything etc
Borderlands 3: separated pretty much everything to the point it was hard to tell which buff affected what parts of your build and made it very unsatisfying and ultimately annoying to make a build accordingly.
Furious attack tells you exactly what it buffs, the only time you should ever have trouble figuring out what buffs what is if you can’t read
And finally you sound like your simply nitpicking stuff that literally nobody cares about just to be dramatic about it and make the game look bad because it didn’t cater to you
Just started bl1 again, got a jackal with bad parts and a mid ironclad from craw so far
I am happy you in enjoying the game. But to tell you now Borderlands has good gameplay but have shit story my friend
BL1 is the worst because it barely had an established story other than "Find the vault, open the vault... Oh yeah and Angel is a Hyperion satellite. I wonder if thats a sequel teaser."
Idc what anyone says, BL1 gunplay and movement is horrendous.
The only sin Pre-sequel commited was basically being a large BL2 dlc
who let bro cook 😷💀
He’s completely right tho? What do you disagree with?
In my OPINION! I would say my favorite games from the borderlands series would go; pre sequel, bl3, bl1, bl2
Why BL2 last?
• Iwajira (hidden boss in Serenity’s Waste)
•Holodome (MEH)
•Invincible Empyrean Sentinel (YAY.)
• Claptrap DLC (But farming ECLIPSE/EOS just isn’t fun IMHO)
And that’s all, folks.
I’d love for you joltz k6 vinilic puma and Doggaebi to be developers in bl4 I think it would be perfect 👍 always badass content hellfire
K6 gets paid by gearbox already he’s a big time shill.
Switch K6 with MAK throw in Goth and maybe Bahroo and youre all good. Btw dont know who the last person is and I dont think Puma is active anymore
1. Borderlands 2
2. Borderlands 3
3. Borderlands the pre-sequel
4. Borderlands 1
5. Wonderlands
I like all the games each having things i feel are better but two is timeless for me
Yes wonderlands is not good idk why people act like it is when no one even plays anymore lmao
Believe me if they fixed the drop rats in borderlands 2 it would been just as easy because I die in both games but I don't do cheats
So this better blow up
Thank you so much man. I was up til 5AM this morning finishing up the editing :) glad you enjoyed it!
@0fficalHellfire dang bro💯 also I think we all know the bl2 dlc's are what carry the game and the fans. I mean yeah it's a great game with a good story, but the dlc's is what makes it alot better than bl1
Tps grinders and pink weapons, low gravity, no slag, no op levels. That is awesome to me. 6 characters too. Just need more dlc and pearls
I agree with you 100%. Though personally I did love BL3 gameplay wise, I absolutely HATED the story.
I started with BL1. TPS is my least favorite to replay.
For its BL2, BL the Pre-Sequel, BL1, Wonderland, and BL3 being the worst I beat the first playthrough with Fl4K including all the DLC and never wanted to re-download to play the game ever again I never been so disappointed.
My List from best to worst:
1-Borderlands 2 (Best Overall)
2-Borderlands 1 (Underated but still very fun)
3-Pre Sequal (Start of the wait here while I talk for 3 hours but has good action skills, definitly don't go for true/ultimate vault hunter though)
4-Borderlands 3 (Fun if you delete dialouge files, but will still have the horrible aftertaste of that god-awful plot)
5-Tiny Tina's Wonderlands (Guns and story were god awful)
i just realized i've been getting your vids in my feed for over a month and i didnt even sub yet lol time to change that
i love how consistent your upload schedule is, as well as the type of videos you're making.
also to keep this comment related to the video, in my opinion BL1 is the worst.
Here is my personal ranking of all mainline games from best down to worst
- BL2
- BL3
- BL: TPS
- BL1
There should be a big gap between TPS and BL1 tbh as the fun and playtime i have in either of the two is hugely different lol
Does anyone even read this long wall of text? Yo if anyone is reading this pls commen the word Banana lol
imagine one day this recieves enough "banana" replies to make this video appear on YT searches for anything banana related. that'd be funny
Thank you :) Banana 🍌 man

Banana ( or the better way to spell it Banna)
This dude knows what he’s on about. Read this shit people 👆
I beat borderlands 1 once, I beat borderlands 2 too many times that I can’t even count, borderlands 3 I made it to the 3rd planet and I’m so bored that I don’t wanna play anymore and it’s crazy because i find the movement fire and the skill trees amazing with these unique abilities (besides the fact amara is just multiple siren abilities but i never really wanted to play siren anyways) but they lost the uniqueness they had like the clunky menu and the fonts of the writing all changed to this new like minimalist look while still being too much stuff on the screen for me to tell wtf was going on and the writing just completely shifted not just in terms of pacing but being flat out cringe i mean the 2nd game was like a good dad joke funny while the 3rd was like this nerdy cringe that tried too hard to be funny that it missed entirely.
Felt lifeless to me man. I don’t know.
@@0fficalHellfire The areas? Or the gameplay?
People seem to think if you like BL3 that it's somehow an affront to BL2. BL3 is GODLY for gameplay.
I was speaking specifically on the maps. And the overall art style of the game just gives me a headache. Plus.
@@0fficalHellfire Fair enough. I really like the artstyle.
Why do you have level 10s as a level 80
Op10 my friend
Pre sequel has the best dlc vault hunters. Timothy is my husband
I think 1 is the least good but the Tiny Tina game, which is not really canon, imho, blew goats
Bl3 bugs keep it from being my favorite but i love bl3. Almost as much as 2. If it had no bugs it would be the best IMO
I feel like Gearbox never gets balance right. Bl2 didn't have good balance with Op10 scaling and Bl3 is just too easy. The most balanced game in the series is Bl1 and it's still on the easier side of things.
"I couldn't think about any other major complaints I hear all the time about TPS"
Lack of end game.
Well, MOST borderlands games do lack endgame. Bl3, Wonderlands to name a few.
Yeah it possibly has the MOST, garbage end game content.
1. Borderlands 1
2. Borderlands 2
3. Borderlands 3
4. Borderlands TPS
BL1 is a gem of a game imo. I will literally play that game FOREVER
Never played bl1
1 isn’t really that good so that’s my opinion
I respect that. But hear me out…😂
@@0fficalHellfireI only think that because I have only played 1 and 2
Ok then I completely agree with you :) Borderlands 2 man. Legendary.
Yo me, pre sequel was the biggest flop, don't get me wrong I liked the game here and there, but it just wasn't fun to do or even replay the story. Bl3 was a great game a launch, just needed a few tweaks to certain characters and the would've been golden, then they decided to nerf characters versatility in the game and some guns that were really good r now unusualable
pre-sequal is my least fav, although if i could turn that shitty moon gravity off it wouldn't be.
The next two mandatory playthroughs and the eventual OP10 reset for quest rewards is not so fantastic… I hope the end game is worth it…
I love Borderlands 1! ❤️ I play a lot of it.
Imo
Purely because of the farming, the pre-sequel is the WORST borderlands game for me.
I have played thousands of hours of all three games! I don’t like the tales game! My favor is BL2, Bl1 and then BL3. The DLC for 1 and 2 are great
Everything after tales from the borderlands socks especially the writing.
