Been playing this game since it came out and always come back to it at least once a year. Recently I discovered your channel, fishman and MAK started uploading regularly again. This got me back into the series after a long hiatus post wonderlands. I’m also having as much if not more fun than when I first started playing. Keep it up bro, great vid.
Awww, that’s great to here dude. I also really enjoy fishman6 and mak. My favorite borderlands channels actually! So I’m just happy I can be in that conversation :)
I'm super burned out from BL2. I love the game, but really can't play it anymore, i have about 2k hours of playtime. It's too boring. I fixed it by playing Rock and Stone, *cough i mean Deep Rock Galactic.
going from a gun hungry sal or axton playthrough to a melee zero or krieg is also a good shakeup of the norm. the feeling of getting good dexterity with zero's melee abilities and getting successive kills in many must fall is so rewarding, and seeing everything turn into red mist with krieg will get you screaming about meat in no time.
About stepping out of the confort zone, I started using some weapons seen as bad or terrible and I got rly surprised with some that not only they got their places, some are genuely good or great, even with their flaws. I want to point out Moxxi's crit, even tho it can drop out your hand and can in certain scenarios be a death sentence, is not as bad as people say and is a great weapon in general, just watch out for cliffs. And the classic meme lf the Bane also surprised me, yeah the movement speed obviusly you gotta play arround it, but everything else is rly goood both damage, mah size, etc, since in UVHM you spend a lot of time switching weapons, is not as anoying that crippling movement and is also a great second wind weapon. With this, I see bad weapons with different eyes since on paper they are bad, you can just try them and heck, find out a way to use them or findinf out that their weakness is not as bad and with the right build, be an incredible peace in your loadaut. Try every weapon, even if it is considered bad, you may surprise yourself and get a breath of fresh air
You may be the first person I’ve come across to say to avoid anarchy. Considering how Gaige and anarchy was advertised, many fans seem to swear by it. But as someone who would prefer accuracy with the character, I agree with you. Wonder *if* there are any players who didn’t touch anarchy at all.
@@whitewolf3051her non anarchy build is the shield/sleed/elemental killskill stacking with infinity pistols and some pearls in elements. She melts most enemies.
Id like to also add that roleplaying is a great way of avoiding burnout as well. Turn your characters into something unique. For example, my Brick in Borderlands 1 is called The Slab King...which is who Brick becomes in Borderlands 2. You could roleplay that this is Brick before he officially set up his gang, he is making himself stronger and more legendary...so that by the time he sets up his gang, he will be unstoppable. I also did the same thing to Lilith as well...turning her into The Firehawk. And for a final example I turned Salvador into a character called Lil Sledge. He wears the mask of Sledge from Borderlands 1, and basically became Sledge of Borderlands 2...but Lil. Seriously, just focus in on a character and roleplay their buildup from there. The possibilities for Borderlands are endless with regards to roleplay as well. Just pick an outfit, choose a name, and set a playstyle that fits that character...and then enjoy.
Great ideas. I would play different characters while playing all three Borderlands games. I also recommend spending time in certain locations because there are a lot of little details put in the game that you figure out by spending a lot of time in a area
its crazy cuz ive played this game fuckin religiously since its release and ive never felt an ounce of burnout lol BL2 is just too perfect of a game imo
Good video! Nice to see quality BL content from smaller channels. I have 3612 hours clocked on BL2 in Steam. How on earth did I NOT get bored and drop the game completely? I actually did, periodically. And came back once it started to feel good again. What kept me playing BL2 was build optimization. I always try to come up with generalist build for most content I play... in which I don't need to switch weapons from and to my backpack in order to play certain areas or bosses. The areas to balance the build out were: Sawtooth Cauldron (bandit mobbing), Southern Shelf/Bay (Flynt and Midgemong), Wildlife Exploitation Preserve (Hyperion and local fauna mobbing), Southpaw Steam & Power (the assassins) and Murderlin's Temple's Badass round (dlc's badasses) + BL2 story and all story DLC content. It took a LONG while to *test* and *farm* the right gear, but I'm so incredibly satisfied with the outcome: a viable Legendary Titan build for Salvador, utilizing Lady Fist. Video's on my channel for anyone interested.
Sound advice. I’ve been rotating games/characters/play styles since BL2 came out. Now I rotate in BL3 as well. Out of all the games and characters, still like playing Lilith and Maya best, and have never found anything I enjoyed more than the Tiny Tina DLC in BL2. Walking into Flamerock Refuge and hearing that music just puts my mind in a better place.
Exercise and cooking both work as alternatives if you need a break from gaming. They act on the reward processes in your brain much slower allowing you to essentially rehab yourself off dopamine.
The first time I played borderlands I was eight with my cousin now I’m 18 and I’m just playing it now again for the first time. When the handsome bundle was free on the epic store, I took advantage of it even though I knew that I wouldn’t be playing it and I’m glad I did as honestly having every DLC in the game is very helpful.. (except commander Lilith) I starter from a brand new game is Axton and I soon learned that he didn’t quite fit my play style. After doing some research on it I decided to try to just build him around my place style and see how it works as opposed to abandoning the character. So far it has been really fun and honestly a lot harder than I remember it being. I don’t know if that’s because I was eight and didn’t notice how much I was dying or because my cousin had already beaten the game a few times over and knew all the tricks. but I keep getting my ass kicked nowadays. I try to stay away from too many tutorials as they often give spoilers like what the bosses look like, or how they operate. and I want to be able to experience all that for myself. Sadly, I already had to see what the final boss looked like so that’s kind of not there for me anymore. I’m having trouble with the builds and it’s confusing and it feels like every gun that I use isn’t the right one . I don’t know anything about farming, mini bosses, XP farming. And I certainly don’t know what makes a good build…. but I love it. I love being a new player and finding it all for the first time, and finding what works. Sadly, I don’t own borderlands one, just two and the pre-sequel. so I will have to buy borderlands one and three separately, and then four once it comes out. I look forward to learning more about the game, and earning new game+ as right now I am a level 21 on my first game.
I'm currently doing a "hunt" style BL2 playthrough with my brother where we leveled from 1 to 80 , did all OP levels and aim to collect all unique and legendary , pearl , effervescent guns . Previously we did an allegiance run where we randomly rolled what brand of gear we would be using . Man , that was fun and painful at the same time xd next time we maybe do some gun-. Or item specific run like gasmask does
Yes dude! I couldn’t agree more, finding your own unique spin to play bl2 adds a whole other layer that wouldn’t be present. The hunt is also so much fun, and I can’t wait to compete this January :)

The best way to revitalize yourself in this game (in my opinion) is to be under leveled for Where Angels Fear to Tread and make sure you kill everything .
For me it was switching platforms, I started with Xbox on release, had plenty of builds on all the characters, then moved to pc to keep building characters, now I’m going mobile with the switch, not the best platform but I like the idea of going op10 on a switch it’s an added challenge

been playing bl1e to get the achievements after I did a first run through the pre-sequel. Bl2 might still be my favorite. I enjoy them all and would play multi player in all too.
I play a lot with Sal and Maya. I love Krieg as a character but I always die so much when playing as him and when I watch videos everyone in the videos seem to be so great with him. Zero can be fun but when leveling him you either do sniper or melee. I mainly play BL solo cause none of my friends have ever played this game and the few times I played matchmaking it didn’t go well at all.

But I experienced burnout as well and my dad said we should start trying out different things with our favorite characters and we did and that was great for both of us. And long story short dad and I play this game together almost everyday 😂
For me, playing an FPS period is stepping out of my comfort zone. Still looking for ways to make Axton a better sniper even though (and because) Zero is the obvious choice for sniper builds.

Just got an Impaler from the loot chest about travel station in Firestone Canyon. I know some don't like that shield but its ideal for my mule character while im playing through their playthrough. Also the same chest ive gotten an infinity from. Also got an infinity from the chest on a Goliath loot giant in Frostburn. That place keeps on keepin on my favorite map. I love bl3 gameplay. I have so much fun with it, and in my personal opinion dlc stories are so much better than the main one. I do understand that a lot of people were put off by the story tho. I hate what they did to Maya, she's my main in bl2
Man is everyone starting to play again?? I got my Krieg to lvl 80 op 1 after like a month and my Gaige sitting at lvl 61 rn, I lost my data 3 years ago and decided to make the comeback
If my ps4 doesnt broke i would still play it.. had till 2016 over 1000+ hours in it and probably made youtube bcause i found few glitches and tricks in it what till today weren't found
PS4 gamer tag. Keedshiesty. My favorite game ever. Can’t count the number of times Iv beat this game on my hands. Iv only ever played solo sadly. A lot of raid bosses I still havnt beat…
This is going to be an unpopular opinion, but if you are feeling burnout by a game, you don't need to try and find tips to prevent it, you need to either go play another game, or just go do something else. I've finished Borderlands 2 a couple dozen times, if I'm not feeling like I want to play it, I just go do something else! This is also why I still haven't finished the 100% for Borderlands GOTY Enhanced, even though I'm only missing 2 of the greater coliseums and the Claptrap DLC
Running Bordlans 1 and remastered ed. on PC / steam hmu ... out of town borderlands is soo good I missed switches sale as I am out of the continents of America lol
Hey man, would you be down to play some time? (PC) I haven't had a co-op experience in BL2 in many years & most of my friends don't really care for the game haha. Keep up the good work regardless! 🤘
Hellfire i started playing again after 2 years got burned out after grinding to level 80 on maya , which character should I do next Edit : that’s not gaige
The thing that gets me most the time in bl2 is the level grind do you have any tips for how to that grind from being less of a chore or more enjoyable or anything like that.
I really wish i could play with other people but i am an xbox player and am to young to get some form of income so i cant buy game pass core. Which kinda sucks
Bad story and significantly worse farming. There are things I think they did better than in the previous games but they weren't deal-breakers in the first 3. They also changed some things ppl like most ab the franchise. Many of us whove been playing since 2013 just don't c replay value with the game
Great suggestion Zerk! another creator brought that up to me personally in regards to the video, I think by all means if anybody is up to it. Video creation takes a lot of time and is for a certain psycho, but it’s way to creatively express yourself in borderlands that you cannot through any other means.

Man is everyone starting to play again?? I got my Krieg to lvl 80 op 1 after like a month and my Gaige sitting at lvl 61 rn, I lost my data 3 years ago and decided to make the comeback
every time I get bored of playing borderlands 2 I just start playing borderlands 1 and then I play borderlands 2 again and the cycle repeats
Yep, literally me 😭
The closest thing to a challenge I done in Borderlands 2 was using only Captain Scarlet's weapons as Axton
If my ps4 doesnt broke i would still play it.. had till 2016 over 1000+ hours in it and probably made youtube bcause i found few glitches and tricks in it what till today weren't found
I was getting bored on gaige, then she became an elemental speedster God.
And try to play Grim Dawn, it has the same replay value as BL
PS4 gamer tag. Keedshiesty.
My favorite game ever. Can’t count the number of times Iv beat this game on my hands. Iv only ever played solo sadly. A lot of raid bosses I still havnt beat…
Yooo idk if you still play, ima add you from LLJ_3XTENTACLES
Edit: can’t find you, but add me up 💯💯
Gifting the game to a friend who is on your same schedule.
Ennyone here playing bl2 on switch?
I do.
Running Bordlans 1 and remastered ed. on PC / steam hmu ... out of town borderlands is soo good I missed switches sale as I am out of the continents
of America lol
I got a perfect op 10 dpuh watching this vid
I've completed normal mode on Salvador, zero and axton
Nice! Some of the best playable characters in all of borderlands right there.
i had burnout and stopped playing for like 6 months
Hey man, would you be down to play some time? (PC)
I haven't had a co-op experience in BL2 in many years & most of my friends don't really care for the game haha.
Keep up the good work regardless! 🤘
Add me on steam, hellfire1948. Send me a message, I’d love to play sometime
great video
Hellfire i started playing again after 2 years got burned out after grinding to level 80 on maya , which character should I do next
Edit : that’s not gaige
The thing that gets me most the time in bl2 is the level grind do you have any tips for how to that grind from being less of a chore or more enjoyable or anything like that.
Been trying to play this game with other ppl
I really wish i could play with other people but i am an xbox player and am to young to get some form of income so i cant buy game pass core. Which kinda sucks
Try the Moxxxi NN November challenge.
I would LOVE to play co-op but my PS Plus account is inactive right now due to a lack of $$$$
I got my maya to level 80 the other day and am now on op 2 lol should I wait to op 10 to reset the story and dlcs or what do you recommend
Definitely wait til OP 10 for a reset.
Don't forget about Borderlands 3.
good video hellfire
Great ideas.❤
I must ask why do you play bl2 over bl3? I agree story is much better but bl3 gunplay is great.
First ever playthrough of bl2 as krieg. Any1 wanna play? lvl 24
Yoooo lmk I’m on ps5 LLJ_3XTENTACLES
I’ve got a gaige around there but you’re prolly closer to my 54 Salvador by now😂
Best game ever
how can people get burnt out on bl2?
But Hellfire I don't have PS+
Get a buddy to come by when you both are free and play split screen :)
step 1:
play presequel it clears
Anyone looking to play? I play on ps5 and main maya
This community on life support. Rip. Thanks gearbox
Take a 9 year break.
I don't have mic
Anyone play on switch?
I do
Me bro. Dashboard farming and xp farming are a pain in the ass 😂. Same thing for the input delay
Yeah trying to farm story missions is also a pain
It's where I first played the whole series, besides BL3, obviously. I gotta give TPS another go. Haven't played it on my PS5 yet.
I noticed how you didn’t mention to play bl3, is it really that bad and hated by the community?
yes
Bad story and significantly worse farming. There are things I think they did better than in the previous games but they weren't deal-breakers in the first 3. They also changed some things ppl like most ab the franchise. Many of us whove been playing since 2013 just don't c replay value with the game
Easy no burn out tip, don’t no life a game
Pay krieg
Anyone plays on epic? If you wanna play my name on there is the here in UA-cam
You forgot one thing: turn your hobby into a new hobby! If you love borderlands, make some youtube videos!
Great suggestion Zerk! another creator brought that up to me personally in regards to the video, I think by all means if anybody is up to it.
Video creation takes a lot of time and is for a certain psycho, but it’s way to creatively express yourself in borderlands that you cannot through any other means.
@@0fficalHellfire it's definitely not for everyone
How 2 avoid burnout: post rewrite cringe forever
yo anyone wanna do a run
