Charging dock is tempting b/c of rechargeable batteries. I wonder how long the life is for Quest 3 controllers.
Thank you for the info. I got the Quest 3 and the zenni lenses cane today. They work good. I actually like the regular headstrap this time. I love watching movies and it was hard to lay die with the Quest two when I had the vive deluxe audio headstrap on. Great video I subbed
Oh definitely! The default strap is great for laying down. We need more laying down games!
So i got the quest 3 today. Also the elite headstrap with battery. Also the charging dock. Noticed that with the elite strap it was back heavy when put on the quest 3 charging station. I had to put something underneath the battery on the strap. As far as changing both at the same time. I guess i will find out.

i just can't wait to play beat saber and super natural with the new straps! probably TMI but a lot of times i need to stop playing because the controllers get to sweaty to hold onto

I saw you didn’t mention that the controllers become wirelessly charged with the included batteries when you get the charging dock. Also, the charging dock will accept 45 W, so I bought the meta-branded charging brick.

@@VRwithJasmineyou did great! I didn’t know about the controller charging situation until days after preordering started. That became the reason why theCharging Dock was a must buy for me
Why isn't there any cooling fan anti-fogging for the Quest 3? They only have it for the Quest 2.
One question I can't find an answer for. Can you use the dock with controller grips that cover the controller? (I don't like knuckle straps can't easily adjust strap or scratch an itch Etc...)

Really think the controllers should’ve come with the strap. Your hands look so silly on Alyx because you have to keep your hands gripping the controls so the hand is always doing the 👌 gesture, but this way you can totally let go when you need.
How does a charging dock keep all your quest items in one location, doesn’t it matter on wether you decide to place everything down in one spot?
Yea but it’s a home organization trick. If something has a “home”, you’re more likely to stay organized.
I wonder if the Battery Pack of the Elite Strap will also automatically recharge in the Docking Station.
Honestly, they better… that’d be ridiculous if they don’t. I’ll report back in a follow up video once I get them!

Indeed! I've been using Soundcore VR P10s on the Quest 2 for about nine months. They're great with no latency either.
By the looks of it the Razer headphones dongle doesn't have power passthrough? So if you have an elite battery strap they it wont connect?
Oof, I sure hope not. What a massive oversight if that’s the case! These were behind glass do they didn’t let us touch em 🤔 I’m planning on expensively getting all these accessories so I’ll report back soon in a future video 🫡
@@VRwithJasmine Yeah huge oversight if that is the case, I did contact Meta to enquire but they had no information of release date or whether they had power passthrough. But they look no different to the current varients of the Hammerheads. Who knows!

YES!! Someone mentioned in another comment that I didn’t mention this. Sometimes I talk too fast. Figured it was implied but I’ll post a deep dive video on the controllers cause they’re really cool and nicely improved. Anyway, the charging dock comes with rechargeable batteries for the controllers

40 bucks for cloth straps is straight insanity. 125 for a charging dock is lunacy. I am all about the Q3, but their 1st party add-on prices are stupid af. Even the "pro" strap should be the default, because again it costs them like 3 bucks to produce. This is like going to the movies, where the money is made on the overpriced crap you buy alongside the tickets lol
I agree with everything except for the cost of the pro straps. From prior experience manufacturing electronics, the pro straps would cost around $23 for non-battery and $35 with the battery to produce (based off of last gen strap materials). However, one needs to add shipping fees, and international taxes which will bring the overall cost up by another 10-15%. The pricing is still terrible though lol. I am just gonna wait for the third-party accessories.
The accessories is how they make there money the headsets are STILL subsidised far as I can tell therefore meta is still taking loss on every Meta Quest 2 and now 3 they sell with the possible exception of the 512gb which may add enough cost on top of the base model to allow them to break even on that model but I doubt it.
So in order to combat this loss there first party accessories are expensive and they take a cut from games sold through their store. What I'm saying is expensive accessories is a side effect of a cheap headset.
I preordered just about everything. I can't friggin wait! Four days! Got the 512GB, strap with the battery, knucks, charging dock, silicone interface, carrying case, and the extended warranty (covers even if I do a dumb and break it). Easiest $1200 I ever spent!
I'm waiting for the 3rd party battery strap, the one from meta is worthless since you can get one with double the capacity for half the price with an interchangeable battery which means you have a theoretical infinite play time on your quest 3, again for half the price. Waiting for 3rd party on that charging dock as well and the knuckle straps.

The Quest 3 Elite battery strap does not charge through the set like the Q2 version. Has to be charged separately. Very lame.
Are you sure? Meta website states single cable to charge both and can be charged whilst attached via the charging dock

What i think is bs is that you shouldn't have to buy new accessories. My elite strap for 2 should work on 3.
Wrong, like all technology, over time it’s going to get smaller and smaller. The same accessories won’t fit every year because that and because they upgrade their products with feedback.
MetaQuest 3 accessories must be purchased as genuine. There is a reason for everything.
