Meta quest 2 goggles had the battery issue were it wasted too quick and it seems this new meta 3 one’s have the same issues and you need a PC to run this goggles and other factors along the way that make this goggles a pain in the arse to use.Seriously when the oculus2 were a rave for a very short time then you end up seeing them at pond shops and I think this will be the same case.

Quest 3 is a completely standalone VR, it doesn't need a PC.

I just got my quest 3 yesterday and did a comparison to my quest 2 and I couldn’t believe the difference. It’s literally night and day. The quest 3 has way more vibrant colors and hand recognition works flawlessly. I played THE MANOR on quest 3 and compared it to quest to and even low light capabilities of the quest 3 were amazing

Wow. I did this and I can tell you... It's the best upgrade you can do
The thing is the rings aren’t unnecessary and useless cause they actually store a bunch of technology that helps tracking and even if they didn’t it would still be hard to cut of the halo rings, it my crack the lower areas of the controller, and if it didn’t it’s would still be jaggety where you cut the halo rings off of. Edit: I also forgot to mention that it’s not easy taking apart the head set, unscrewing, and getting to where the chip would be and replacing it. You would also have to go through having to connect the technology of the new chip. I don’t mean to be rude it looks like this guy is having lots of fun doing this and he obviously knows the complications I’m just saying for the people that don’t know
