    Nearly getting ran over by your own rig once the ATF was being added! Glad you survived to make more content!!

      Lmao I have to be more careful when I get in a hurry! Luckily the LUV is low on power

    Been watching all your videos as I just bought a 78 luv Mikado, going to fix it up and give it to my old man as its similar to the one he learned to drive in. You keep posting these gems man!

      I appreciate the feedback! Similar to why I love Mini-Trucks myself. I learned how to drive in a 5-speed 1992 Nissan Hardbody. That’s really cool you’re doing that. How much work is it going to take?

      @@fabricobbletech I'm hoping to have it running by October, everything's there including the 100lbs of rat turds, biggest problem is a huge crack in the windshield but things could be worse haha. Going to leave the paint as is, has some beautiful patina for being out in a field for 20 years.

      @@mike100173 I'd still sand it down prime itvand paint it a nice color. Not caring for the body parts and finish will only rust it out even further and that alone isn't good at all.

    I do,very much like these Chevy Light Utility Vehicle LUV for short, however it does deserve the body to be worked over, primed and painted.

    Too funny... I bought a '77 LUV parts truck, and did the disc brake conversion on my '75. Simple bolt on.

    If you decide to junk the cab let me know. Mine has the floor delete model... I'm doing what I can to patch it up. Great vid! Maybe next time don't run towards the front of the moving vehicle though haha

      Lol I was kind of on autopilot. I think my brain was thinking that was the shortest path to the brakes and it’s a LUV so I had confidence I could outrun it. The cab’s decent but like everyone I’ve seen I think they’re probably lacking around the body mounts. Yours so far gone you don’t even want to mess around with patching it?

      @@fabricobbletech oh no, I'm patching in... But if it found a better cab I'd jump on it. I have a short vid of the motor in the frame. Been working on the cab a few months now.

      @@GOTG4MER looks like you’re doing the full deal. Did you put on exhaust forward just for testing? Are you running stock rear axle?

    • @GOTG4MER
      @GOTG4MER Рік тому +1

      @@fabricobbletech yeah, I have shorty headers on it now. Had to cut the shock tower and fab my own. Going to attempt to use the stock rear end... If it should die on me I'll go with a S10 or similar.

      @@GOTG4MER If I were to go back and do it again I would consider alternate rear axle just for gearing options. But for your purpose 4.10 or 3.73 are probably just fine. I’d like to get rpm’s down for fuel mileage because mine is just a daily cruiser.
