There is simply no way Thrawn wasn’t able to find him as well. He’s purposely avoided him IMO. The witches themselves seemed afraid of jedis. Two, Thrawn refused to commit too many resources to helping Baylon. Saying that they have taken heavy losses already. If I was a guessing man, I would say that the admiral is afraid of Ezra. Baylon himself spoke of a power he could feel, and also hinted at the fact that Thrawn and company are afraid of something on the planet. Either Ezra has become very powerful or he’s allied with something very powerful.
The episode’s cinematography, direction, and sound design are outstanding, matched by the performances of Eman Esfand and Lars Mikkelsen as Ezra and Thrawn, respectively.
I love how different Thrawn is as a leader, a much more patient, tactical and cold presence that makes him so much more a viable threat than anything before him.
It seems like everyone who looked for thrawn is now realizing they're just pawns to him, I don't know what they expected. I think that the witches are acting very sus, they might know something big is about to come and they're siding with him, believing it's their best option.
Enoch and the Night Troopers are definitely my favorite Stormtroopers now. Love the beat up armor with the bands of red and patches of gold. And Enoch's very Roman looking design is just absolutely badass.
Baylen skol saying “the enemy of our enemy is our friend” makes me think of the fact that Thrawn is okay with the dark jedi dying as well. You may be on to something with them forming an alliance against thrawn…
Exactly what I thought. It seems like that's what they're setting up. Baylen & Shin teaming up with Ahsoka, Sabine & Ezra when they realize Thrawn betrayed them. Baylen doesn't seem like a typical Dark Jedi. He doesn't give off an evil vibe. Not completely anyway.
All those Stormtroopers are now called Night Troopers and could either all be impowered by the Night Sisters (like Savage) or resurrected by them And it's gonna take them 3 days to empty the catacombs and they seem to be loading all the coffins onto the Chimera And the Night Sisters can reanimated all those dead bodies as well... Thrawn might actually have one scary ass undead army on his hands. 😲😲
Not long ago I had managed to get to The nightsister Arc in Clone Wars and I'm pretty sure that was actually the plan of mother Talzin to be able to take out Grievous while she used nightsister magic to try and kill Dooku. And we've already seen the concept shown in the show with Marrok
I'm just saying these stormtroopers better be a good shot since they had 10 years for target practice Plus this episode was great! The actor who they got for Ezra dud a great job!
I'm hoping that since Thrawn didn't have access to unlimited supplies of men, the few that are remaining are hardened battle veterans who know how to get shit done. I was kind of hoping he'd mention something like that when Morgan was like "Shouldn't we send more" and he could just be like "Two is more than enough" or something to reinforce how the men he has left are efficient soldiers.
This episode was solid. Not the same highs of last episode, but DAMN does Lars kill it as Thrawn. Also Captain Enoch and the Night Troopers all look badass!
definitely not a coincidence that the two of you who watched Rebels gave this episode a higher rating. as a huge Rebels fan who has had more issues with this series than i had hoped, i loved this episode. so happy that they got Mikkelson to be Thrawn!!! loved seeing more of Baylen and Shin, and this Ezra actor seems like a good choice so far.
This episode reminds me more to what made me love Star Wars in the first place. Lately, they've been relying too much on the past and nostalgia, sometimes just soulless content, but when they try to do something fresh and original with Star Wars, that's where you feel when people are genuinely passionate about this franchise. They need to move on and create original stories, not just rely on the past and make empty content.
@xjoemallardx Yes, but it's not entirely relying on that to be interesting. He's there for nostalgia, sure, but he's also there because he's important to Ahsoka's overall character and it wouldn't make sense if he wasn't there. Disney works better with Star Wars when they create their own thing instead of trying to satisfy a broken fanbase with nothing but soulless and empty content.
Yes, that is what people said after The Force Awakens, which Disney did to appease all the criticism of the Prequels. So we got The Last Jedi, which so many "fans" tore apart for being radically different. Which, in turn, led to the crappy Rise of Skywalker, which tossed a ton of fan service that fans hated. Yes, there was a lot wrong with 7-9 and the fans are part of it.
The crates that the storm troopers were loading into the Chimera has to be nightsisters as a promise made to the great mother to revive them in the old galaxy.
I love how Thrawn went to the Night Sisters and ask them to resurrect all of the dead stormtroopers on his ship to become his Night Troopers Army (Zombie Stormtroopers).
This whole episode I kept saying “I’m ready for Ezra, I’m ready for Ezra” when he showed up, I’m not ashamed that I teared up a little. I hope by the end of the series, Ezra and Sabine reunite with Hera, Chopper and Zeb.
This is how I see Ezra seeing zeb and chopper again Zeb: Ah, good to see ya kid. Ezra: Well, I’m not really much of a kid now anymore am I? *feels something shock him* Ow! Chopper: *makes beeping noises and bangs his arm on Ezra’s leg* Ezra: Okay, okay, I won’t do it again.
For anyone confused with the lore and what he meant when he said he need more dark magic: None of the stormtroopers are alive, they're undead raised by the nightsisters. So basically Thrawn meant that he need more undead in his army in order to not be defeated by Ahsoka Tano. He could've meant something more too, but that's the main reason he need their help. To raise undead and understand the force even more so he's always prepared, that's how Thrawn is in general, prepared and calculating.
Really like how each episode has some sense of intrigue, intrest or excitment. Not just waiting till the finale for the good stuff, last episode and this episode were so good
When Thrawn entered I got Return of the King vibes from LOTR. When the orcs bring their huge battering ram called Grond which is shaped like a wolfs head. They yell Grond similar to the Night Troops yelling Thrawn.
3:03 In 1981, Lucas compared using the Force to yoga, saying any character can use its power. Dave Filoni said in 2015 that all Star Wars characters are "Force intuitive": some characters, like Luke Skywalker, are aware of their connection to the Force, while characters such as Han Solo draw upon the Force unconsciously.
Yeah always thought of the force like that since the beginning. The Force resides in everyone; for some like the Jedi can wield the force with your classic abilities like force push and pull, but people like Han Solo might manifest the force in a different way unknowingly like through his great piloting and like Leia perhaps manifesting the force through her leadership
Noticed in the beginning that there was distant Purgill noises, I gasped when they approached Peridea and it was revealed that it was the ancient homeworld of the Dathomiri, Ezra looks so good and I love how Eman is trying his best to make it sound like Taylor Gray, Also the Howlers on the side really gave those Loth Wolves Vibes also got Shrek vibes from this episode with her going to find Ezra and the Howler following her like Donkey follows Shrek
The witches are foreshadowing that Sabine will become a JEDI. Baylan Skoll is basically Qui Gon Jinn - They both believed something needed to change. He almost represents Qui Gon's darkest thoughts and ideas. Ezra looks like Jesus lol. Thawn was chefs kiss.
I think Ezra's mark on the Ahsoka series will be his lessons from his time in Rebels; Ahsoka feared tapping into the darkside and losing herself like Anakin, but Ezra went further than she ever did and still found his way back. Sabine worries about not being able to tap into the force to be a powerful jedi, but Ezra's greatest strength with the force has always been outside of physical power, which he could help her understand as she already has physical prowess as a Mandalorian and could learn from him how to tap into a greater sense of awareness utilizing the force. I believed from the beginning that Sabine would be more of a sensory type, and Ezra could help her understand that side of the force better while also showing Ahsoka how he's able to understand the delicate balance of tapping into both paths of the force to utilize anger without it turning into corruption.
Mikey might know this, but I wonder if Baylan plans to release Abeloth? A way to stop the cycle of force users by releasing. I mean, it could be as simple as world between worlds time travel but eh. It would finally tie up the missing member of the family.
This has been an amazing series so far, I have no idea who Thrawn is, but he is brilliant, he has his own vibe, not like a Gastpo officer but more like a... Roman General like Caesar. And, the Sith duo, I just keep finding things in their/his DNA, that gives him/her shades of... grey.
Don't know about you guys, but when I watched the Rebels episodes with Thrawn, my skin crawled every time he spoke. His voice was just so, emotionless, cold, calculating, it made me shiver. Hearing that coming out of a real life person now? Uh-huhuhuh... the creepiness has been cranked to ELEVEN!
When Thrawn tells Sabine he'll honour the agreement for her to find Ezra, and then Enoch stepped forwards immediately afterwards, did anyone else think for half a second we were gonna be in for a CRAZY reveal? No, just me then?
I love how Thrawn has just a stranglehold on every room he's in. He could be in there with three Nightsister witches, a Mandalorian warrior, two Jedi (or Jedi-adjacent), and still come out as the most powerful person in the room.
Across all of the films and all of the times I have ever seen an Imperial Star Destroyer, NONE have ever given me a sense of dread or fear until the Chimera bellowed a Fog horn just before rising menacingly into view. Like a Ghost Pirate ship filled with animated dead warriors, the ship repaired very much like the NightTrooper armor was awesome. Wow, just wow.
I love the subtle Dune comments from John lol. Glad I wasn’t the only one catching those Dune vibes from this episode. Love it. Even Morgan’s shuttle looks JUST like the David Lynch Dune Ormithopters. Then they land and there’s witches talking about Dreams… awesome!
I kept thinking I was hearing Mads Mikkelsen's voice whenever Thrawn spoke-- then realized that it was his brother, Lars Mikkelsen. They're both great actors. Mads portrayed Galen Erso, the man who betrayed The Empire and Lars is portraying the supposed heir to The Empire. Must be some interesting discussions when the Mikkelsen's get together.
I liked when Shin questions Baylen, almost as an objection, about honoring his agreement with Sabine once Thrawn tells them to go after her.. Shows despite her fights with Sabine, she is not moved by a sense of revenge (wanting to see kill her/seeing her getting killed), and that honor is something she values. Just like Baylan although not being a jedi, is always contemplating and pondering. Gives a total old school jedi vibe. GOD DAMN what a terrible loss was Ray Stevenson's passing. Firstly because of him as a human being, secondly for his legacy but also how he managed to bring so much presence and personality to this character. So far Baylan and Shin, to me, has been two of the best (character) additions to the Star Wars universe since a long time.
Thrawn is way creepier in live action. He definitely was scary. The little crab guys are now my favorite aliens in Star Wars. John, you were killing it with the references.
The nightsisters are not native to the star wars galaxy. They migrated there likely long before Jedi or any republic existed. Baylon implied they might have been driven or even chased there (by the Rakata perhaps????) and it sounded like they ruled a galactic empire for a time. That's like.....REALLY big information there
Something I found interesting, I think the shell creatures language might be inspired be the Māori language (indigenous people of New Zealand). When first speaking to Sabine after being threatened it says "Mataku ahau", which means "I'm scared" in Māori. Then soon after when asked if he knows Ezra he says "ai, ai, mohio ana" which means "yes yes I know"... then when they all leave to take Sabine to Ezra they say "tatou, tatou", which means "all of us (together)"... I can't understand everything the creatures say but it definitely sounds like the Māori language to me.
Im very certain that all of those troopers are dead and resurrected through nightsister magic. The symbology is there with all the wrapped (in nightsister color cloth bands) and Kintsugi armor, except twisted as is Thrawn's general MO of collecting these different cultures and incorporating pieces into his beliefs and convictions. The kintsugi trooper army feels a lot like the terracotta army.
The emotion that I felt seeing Ezra and Sabine interacting again after so long... It made me feel like the 8th grader that I was when I was watching the final season of Star Wars Rebels. It's been so long since we've seen Ezra, and seeing him back after such a long time... that was such an impactful moment. It made me feel like I was back in that time, when things for me were all that more simplistic. There's been only a handful of times where I've cried during an episode or a movie, and this was one of those times. 5 and a half years since the ending of Star Wars Rebels. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect to see these characters again, much less in live-action. This has been a very special show. On that same subject, seeing Lars Mikkelsen absolutely nail the live-action adaptation of Thrawn, just as he did in Rebels, was so beautiful and so special to see. Seeing Thrawn out of all people being in need of magic was an interesting twist that I'm excited to learn more about. Overall, in my opinion, I genuinely believe that Episode 6 is up there with Episode 5 for best episode of the series. I don't think I'm ready to put 6 over 5 just yet, but 6 is making a very strong case for that. This episode felt like Rebels throughout and it was so special. I can't wait for the final 2 episodes to see how this story concludes. It's gonna be really awesome and really special, that's for sure.
The Eye of Sion jumping out of hyperspace is probably similar to what the Death Star must have looked like when it arrived at Alderaan, Yavin IV or Scariff.
Its a shame Rey isnt here to see the love he got for this role. To me, above all else that mans Arc could have been epic, i guess they can recast him as there are a few guys his size and stature and gravitas but hes done so good that role maybe over, and i think KK would love his padawan to move on as the lead, even though she has the threat level of Spongbob. Episode was ok but after E5 everything just felt a slow ride to the finale for daves Movie to carry on.
are you guys really that blown away by the last episode? it was okay, but really just boils down to fan service of seeing anakin again. I think this episode was by far the best
@@lenseofficialI can see how people may think that Anakin's role served as fan service but to imply that's all there is, is just plain lazy. Anakin's role within the force has always been foreshadowed and that he truly is the Chosen One. His journey has been reformed and enhanced through many years of preparation
I know Filoni wants to direct a movie where the Boba, Mando, and Ahsoka series all ties in together in one, could this be the set up thats needed to jump start that? If there is a bigger threat out there that Thrawn is running from this would be a great way to show they need all the help they can get and will need more firepower, but I'm also worried that this big bad will spill out into the main galaxy and we wont really explore this one much
Reasons this is one of the all time best episodes of Star Wars ever made: 1) The long anticipated return of Thrawn not only paid off but FAR exceeded our already high expectations. He was already perfect in Rebels, but FINALLY seeing Lars Mikkelsen play Thrawn in live action proves was was born to play Grand Admiral Thrawn! 2) The moment I heard “I knew I could count on you” from Eman Esfandi as Ezra I almost cried. 3) Baylan Skoll is proving to be one of the most complex and compelling characters in all of Star Wars. He managed to see not only that the Jedi had fallen even before Order 66 because of how they had become so blinded by their own hubris and hypocrisy, but he sees that the Galaxy can never be governed for long or even properly by either a Republic nor an Empire. So he is looking for a new power that will outlast all of them. 4) The Nightsisters being the lynchpin that ties everything together. Now it makes sense how an incredibly ancient map could lead to where Thrawn was currently, because Morgan was told so in her visions by the Night Mothers, who were instructed by Thrawn. And in exchange for aiding Thrawn, he would take them and whatever their cargo is (and I have a bad feeling I might know what it is) back to our Galaxy. DAVE FILONI YOU MAD GENIUS, YOU NEVER FAIL TO ENTERTAIN US!
51:43 - I mean, it seems to go towards that direction. All the Remnant leaders were awaiting for someone to take the reigns and Moff Gideon told them that he was certain Thrawn would return and bring about the rise of a 'new order'. But I feel like there's a bigger story behind the scenes as this galaxy clearly has it's own Light vs Dark war going on and we might be going deeper into that. Hopefully.
Dave Filoni might be steering us towards a cool answer for "Somehow Palpatine Returned" -- he returned because Thrawn brought back zombies and witch magick from an different galaxy. The Empire was so hellbent on regaining power they sought out magic and power they don't full understand. I also thinkAhsoka, Sabine and Ezra will get back home, but lost in the galaxy. Enter Skeleton Crew to the rescue (maybe in the Skeleton Crew finale) to tie it all together.
They're likely fleeing either the Grysk or the Yuuzhan Vong. However, crackpot theory: Abeloth. Would explain what Baylan feels calling to him and continue the Mortis storyline. Admittedly, not my theory.
At the beginning... I was fanboying hard and was ready to pop some popcorn and grab a blanket for "Storytime with Huyang." I could see a series around that. I'm enjoying more detail regarding the Dathomirian Witches and their ways of connecting with the Living/Cosmic Force and all that is getting special attention. I totally love how, with one word or phrase, Filoni can alter the entire Star Wars canon (Bokken Jedi.) Wow. All the wolf-like visuals... all Filoni. But Thrawn... one can tell that Lars is having an absolute blast playing this character in live action. It's just too cool for school to finally see him. Did you catch the "catacombs" comment? He's bringing an undead army with him! Enoch reminds me of a character from Fallout: New Vegas. Legate Lanius. Kudos to the practical effects team, they are so talented. Ezra looks like his dad from the photo from Rebels. Last bit, a prediction... Thrawn wants to know all about Ahsoka including who her master was... tie in to Zahn's novel "Alliances."
People like Huyang and we've gotten to know him more now. That means he's probably going to get destroyed and die. That's the whole trope. Make a super likable character so it hurts more to kill them off...😭
Actually it wasn't the new Star Wars it was the original Star Wars that said the force resides in every living thing.. Anyone can get the ability if the foorce wants it
I think Ezra started his own cult - on second watch, he gave major “off” vibes, plus the frog/stone people’s adoration of him mirrored the way Thrawn’s army surrounded him
THANKS as always, RRs! To be honest, as much as I love Greg and John, I come here on Wednesdays to experience Michael's great joy! He loves Star Wars as much as I love Marvel (Marvelite since my mid-'70s tyke days), and it's fun to watch him and hear his views!!!!
Gotta say it was super weird seeing Thrawn in live action, but by his last scene I was settled in. Also gotta say...yeah based on those troopers, that entire ship+ garrison would be dead if any other commander but Thrawn was in charge when they got carried here. I was sort of expecting that Enoch dude to be a brainwashed Ezra. And speaking of. EZRA, our boy!
I think those troopers are dead. Undead actually like Marrok was. Morgan talked about the catacombs and they were loading strange boxes off the ship. I think those are dead bodies waiting to be animated to serve Thrawn.
Who cares - series will be forgotton in 3 weeks time. Would love to know what the plot of this show is. Where's Luke? Why is he not involved in all of this?

It seems like everyone who looked for thrawn is now realizing they're just pawns to him, I don't know what they expected. I think that the witches are acting very sus, they might know something big is about to come and they're siding with him, believing it's their best option.
Dr. Huyang: ”A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…”
Me: **No thoughts, just screaming**
😭 this show is INCREDIBLE

I was screaming. This whole time he’s been telling the story of Star Wars
He said the thing!

Ok, calm down
Enoch and the Night Troopers are definitely my favorite Stormtroopers now. Love the beat up armor with the bands of red and patches of gold. And Enoch's very Roman looking design is just absolutely badass.
Japanese art of kintsugi. Its where pottery is repaired with a mixture of powdered gold.
Enoch reminds me of Legate Lanius from Fallout: New Vegas, which fits in with the Roman designs.
Baylen skol saying “the enemy of our enemy is our friend” makes me think of the fact that Thrawn is okay with the dark jedi dying as well. You may be on to something with them forming an alliance against thrawn…
Thrawn said that he would leave as soon as possible, even without baylan and shin.
Thrawn literally stated that he doesn’t care about what happens to them.
Especially since Baylen & Shin don't have "Sith eyes"
All those Stormtroopers are now called Night Troopers and could either all be impowered by the Night Sisters (like Savage) or resurrected by them
And it's gonna take them 3 days to empty the catacombs and they seem to be loading all the coffins onto the Chimera
And the Night Sisters can reanimated all those dead bodies as well...
I'm just saying these stormtroopers better be a good shot since they had 10 years for target practice
Plus this episode was great! The actor who they got for Ezra dud a great job!
Eman Esfandi!
Since I knew he was Cast I look him up (I didn't know the actor) and Knew it was a Great choice!
They are undead like Marrok. Brought to life by Night Sister Magik.
I believe they are all undead. Expect maybe for Enoch.
They look badass, wish they aren't fodder like most troopers, but they probably are lmao
That "nostalgia" helped shape Ahsoka the White..
Star wars is about fleshing out the Skywalker era? I don't understand this "nostalgia and soulless"
Night Troopers
Sabine: things are crazy Ezra! We’re up against witches, dark Jedi, Thrawn, and wild fan speculation!
This whole episode I kept saying “I’m ready for Ezra, I’m ready for Ezra” when he showed up, I’m not ashamed that I teared up a little. I hope by the end of the series, Ezra and Sabine reunite with Hera, Chopper and Zeb.
This is how I see Ezra seeing zeb and chopper again
Zeb: Ah, good to see ya kid.
Ezra: Well, I’m not really much of a kid now anymore am I? *feels something shock him* Ow!
Chopper: *makes beeping noises and bangs his arm on Ezra’s leg*
Ezra: Okay, okay, I won’t do it again.
Those stormtroopers look so cool. I love the Roman/Greek design of Enoch’s helmet and all the gold.
Not just waiting till the finale for the good stuff, last episode and this episode were so good
Thrawn’s resurgence seems so mythological…like the return of a Greek villain once thought dead.
The Force resides in everyone; for some like the Jedi can wield the force with your classic abilities like force push and pull, but people like Han Solo might manifest the force in a different way unknowingly like through his great piloting and like Leia perhaps manifesting the force through her leadership
true indeed
"Children stories come to life." you're damn right. Thanks Dave!
lmao
The creature Sabine was riding according to the subtitles is called a Howler I assume it’s like a lothwolf but a different species variant
I love that they told us why they can't just take the Purrgil back to their galaxy; that planet is where they go to die. It's a one way trip.
Mikey might know this, but I wonder if Baylan plans to release Abeloth? A way to stop the cycle of force users by releasing. I mean, it could be as simple as world between worlds time travel but eh. It would finally tie up the missing member of the family.
This has been an amazing series so far,
I have no idea who Thrawn is,
but he is brilliant,
he has his own vibe,
not like a Gastpo officer but more like a...
Roman General like Caesar.
And,
the Sith duo,
I just keep finding things in their/his DNA,
that gives him/her shades of...
grey.
Cool hearing the perspective from not knowing who he is! :)
@@jeremyneilsen1263 I kinda now hes from the tv animation but men gotta tell u... Ahsoka its better than all the last Star Wars trilogy BY FAR.
This was the best episode so far. I can't imagine what lies ahead!
Shin Hati's witch prejudice always cracks me up 😂
Why she doesnt like witches?
Shin is so hot and yeah its hilarious!
The planet's rings being just purgill bones is so eerie in so many ways. Also Ezra just looks like his father so much its insane
When Thrawn tells Sabine he'll honour the agreement for her to find Ezra, and then Enoch stepped forwards immediately afterwards, did anyone else think for half a second we were gonna be in for a CRAZY reveal? No, just me then?
It definitely crossed my mind....mostly cause Ezra loves collecting cool helmets XD
The only bad thing in this episode is that they didn’t let Sabine or Ezra cry with that embrace. Should’ve been way more emotional.
Yeah that was a SERIOUS letdown. Witty banter and a casual hug? There should've been tears flowing, both from Sabine and from the audience.
I agree. She should have lost it when she turned around
I love how Thrawn has just a stranglehold on every room he's in. He could be in there with three Nightsister witches, a Mandalorian warrior, two Jedi (or Jedi-adjacent), and still come out as the most powerful person in the room.
This episode was great! Grand Admiral Thrawn in Live Action was so cool and great! 👍

This whole episode felt Dune inspired. From the cosmetics to the music
I am so happy to see Ezra and Sabine back together again
I can't believe they said the iconic thing for the first time almost 50 years later!
The nightsisters are not native to the star wars galaxy. They migrated there likely long before Jedi or any republic existed. Baylon implied they might have been driven or even chased there (by the Rakata perhaps????) and it sounded like they ruled a galactic empire for a time. That's like.....REALLY big information there
The original species maybe
Sabine "are we there yet, are we there yet ,are we there yet "
Its a shame Rey isnt here to see the love he got for this role. To me, above all else that mans Arc could have been epic, i guess they can recast him as there are a few guys his size and stature and gravitas but hes done so good that role maybe over, and i think KK would love his padawan to move on as the lead, even though she has the threat level of Spongbob. Episode was ok but after E5 everything just felt a slow ride to the finale for daves Movie to carry on.
are you guys really that blown away by the last episode? it was okay, but really just boils down to fan service of seeing anakin again. I think this episode was by far the best
@@lenseofficialit doesn’t boil down to fan service. His role served the story.
@@lenseofficialI can see how people may think that Anakin's role served as fan service but to imply that's all there is, is just plain lazy. Anakin's role within the force has always been foreshadowed and that he truly is the Chosen One. His journey has been reformed and enhanced through many years of preparation
"We had a deal!"
"I am altering the deal! Pray I don't alter it any further!"
I know Filoni wants to direct a movie where the Boba, Mando, and Ahsoka series all ties in together in one, could this be the set up thats needed to jump start that? If there is a bigger threat out there that Thrawn is running from this would be a great way to show they need all the help they can get and will need more firepower, but I'm also worried that this big bad will spill out into the main galaxy and we wont really explore this one much
Um I think that's the idea. They already said all the series are setting up the movie, Avengers-like
Men anything Filoni do, will be better than those random bad trilogys like the last one.
Reasons this is one of the all time best episodes of Star Wars ever made:
1) The long anticipated return of Thrawn not only paid off but FAR exceeded our already high expectations.
Hopefully.
The sequence of the flight down to the surface gave off some serious Prometheus vibes
I really enjoyed the Koopa Loompas.
the stormtrooper with the golden face is our new marrok 😅
After the stuff from ep 5 I was expecting a calm mid episode but they did not disappoint
Hell Yeah Ezra and Thrawn live action, its dream come true!!!
The actor who plays Ezra feels so natural.
Lars Mikkelsen looks great as grand admiral thrawn in live action
I wasn't sure at first but he definitely does. I have a feeling he's going to kill the role.
Man you guys are great! And having Michael there is just perfection!
They're likely fleeing either the Grysk or the Yuuzhan Vong.
However, crackpot theory: Abeloth. Would explain what Baylan feels calling to him and continue the Mortis storyline. Admittedly, not my theory.
Bringing Abeloth into this would be amazing. It would also as you said, lead to future Mortis content. I wonder if Abeloth has been mentoring Ezra?
@@LetsGetitBoah Unlikely. She's a Dark Side entity, and Ezra seems to be behaving as normal. He's already fought the Dark Side and won.
Those aliens have never seen a lightsaber , Ezra gave his to Sabien so no familiarity just shocked at see that weapon
Dude....thrawn's troopers are so cool. The gold, that one helmet, the red wrappings, etc
i think the night troopers are formed with nightsisters magick just like morrok
Having Ezra finally be back is everything for me
Thrawn is back 😊😊
Ezra has grown up 😊
Hearing Thrawn’s voice again after 5 long years literally chills we’re going up my spine!
People like Huyang and we've gotten to know him more now. That means he's probably going to get destroyed and die. That's the whole trope. Make a super likable character so it hurts more to kill them off...😭
23:53 I love that you can see his scars from the Grand Inquisitor on his left chin.
That gold ship reminds me of the 1984 Dune ornithopters
Edit: John said “Fear is the mind killer” just a bit after I typed that.😂
Man, for the first time ever the Stormtroopers were super scary
Actually it wasn't the new Star Wars it was the original Star Wars that said the force resides in every living thing.. Anyone can get the ability if the foorce wants it
Having Michael on this series review is awesome, really like his insight and love for Star Wars!
Three witches and the heir to the empire. Getting a bit of a Macbeth vibe from this
Double, double, Toil and trouble (2nd episode title)
I think Ezra started his own cult - on second watch, he gave major “off” vibes, plus the frog/stone people’s adoration of him mirrored the way Thrawn’s army surrounded him
Am I the only one to notice that Morgan's ship is a hyperspace ring for the Chimaera?
I caught it, too.
No shit Sherlock.
No not the only one. Most folk realised it 2/3 episodes back 😂
THANKS as always, RRs! To be honest, as much as I love Greg and John, I come here on Wednesdays to experience Michael's great joy! He loves Star Wars as much as I love Marvel (Marvelite since my mid-'70s tyke days), and it's fun to watch him and hear his views!!!!
Aw shucks!!
