      Yes, but also no.
The original idea for General Grievous was to make him a "Jedi Terminator," which is why they made this version so OP. However, as development for ROTS continued, George changed his mind. George wanted to change things up and do something new rather than make yet another super intimidating villain, so he decided to make Grievous more like the mustache twirling villains from the Saturday morning TV shows he used to watch.

Resident Star Wars nerd (and fan of the channel) the Blaster Bolts seen in Star Wars are generated by a process of super heating gas turning it into plasma and firing it out the barrel, so all those blaster bolts will eventually dissipate as they lose energy, where as a laser would not.

A detail I like is that when Shaak Ti gets ahold of one of the droid staff weapons... Notice how they are suddenly doing a lot worse at protecting themselves against her strikes? The droids are Programmed for anti-lightsaber combat. Clearly they missed programming them for how to fight/counter attacks from their own staff weapons and they are having to fall back on some generic combat protocols that just arent a match for a jedi swinging said staff. Hence why they suddenly start getting hit all over the place.
Notice also how they get a bit better again once she gets the saber back?

In fact in the moment Obi blows him apart he isn’t even dead, he is just slowly forming back together. He is eventually killed by Anakin forcing him into an escape pod and shooting it into a nearby star. Boba Fett has a big problem when he shows up in the Boba Fett short novels as Durge has a strong hatred of any Mandalorian. That race is basically a race of Deadpools.
Also the Revenge of the Sith game has a Vader play through and you can fight the younglings.

Although I like Anakin from the Movies.
Because unlike Luke who grows and matures... Anakin in each movie gets crazier and crazier and gets closer to the Dark Side, although he doesn't want to be bad, sadly he has to do it because he knows he has no choice... he's already done enough Crimes and Know that there is no turning back.
But the Anakin of the 2003 and 2008 Series was always the Era where the Character was at his Best Moment.
A Hero who was growing, but at the same time you could tell he wasn't well... The Dark Side was always in him, and it didn't matter if he wanted to deny it... he knew it was true.
    ...
    Although that Yes...
Anakin from the Novels I consider to be the Maximum Peak of the Character xf

      - He present for and the battle of Muunilinst, mission to Hypori, and battle of Coruscant
      - He led a unit of ARCs known as the Muunilinst 10
      - He was awarded the Chancellor's Service Medal for his heroics during Hypori but he instead had it transferred and awarded posthumously to the one member of his squad to die on Muunilinst

In this scenario I don't even see how Anakin falls to the dark side. Qui-Gon's teachings would've given Anakin the tools to see through Palpatine's manipulation. I also think Mace Windu would've been a great master for Anakin. I think Anakin needs a hard-ass no bullshit kind of master to lessen his worse tendencies. Anakin could've learned how to control and focus his emotions. Eventually, he'd learn Vaapad.

I actually watched this series for the first time a few years ago and I was blown away by it!
    - The story is great and transitions near flawlessly into Revenge of the Sith.
    - The action is awesome and there's so much of it!
    - Character interactions between Obi-Wan and Anakin during the second half are pretty fun to watch.
    - Grievous is a beast! Like that scene of him battle Ki-Adi Mundi and the other Jedi was insane!
    - The Jedi Council scene actually makes it feel like a council. Like in every other movie or show where the council is on screen it always seems like it's only 2 or 3 people talking. Here, nearly everyone on the council gets a voice line and there is actual discussion between members. I honestly wish we got to see more of that but eh, what can you do.
A do have a few nitpicks:
    - I'm a bit mixed on some of the character designs (Windu and Palpatine in particular), though the overall art style and animation still look amazing
    - While the action is badass, there are a few moments that seem a bit over the top like WIndu karate chopping droids with his bare hands or him driving a droid fighter by ripping into its wiring. Badass, sure but like a bit much IMO.
But none of that comes even close to ruining this version of the Clone Wars for me, this show is awesome!

This also puts a LOT of context as to why the Council was concerned about making Anakin a Master - not just because the man himself was unorthodox, but he only finished his Padawan-to-Knight requisite Trial of the Mirror DAYS BEFOREHAND AT MOST.
And they all emphasize, his skills were never the part in doubt. He hadn't had the time to properly go through the mental training. You see both ends of the argument getting addressed at the start of Part 2, by Mundi and 'Curly Claws.'

This is actually where characters like General Grievous and asajj Ventress first appeared. Also in spite of what other people think parts of this are still Canon especially since characters like Grievous don't have an introduction in the 3D clone wars and are just there with people somehow already knowing who they are.
I cannot recommend watching Samurai Jack enough Especially since yeah it is very similar to this because it has the same designer And Creator gendi tatakovsky.
The 5-minute episodes were shown from all of 2003 and part 2 the 30-minute episodes were shown all across 2004 and 5 with the last episode premiering one month before the premiere of Revenge of the Sith in theaters there's a reason why a lot of fans call this episode 2.5 because that's what it is. I remember watching this on TV and I have happily added these DVDs to my Star Wars collection. In my opinion this series is Canon as well as the 3D Clone Wars this one just covers different events spread across the three years of the Clone Wars whereas the 3D version goes into more detail and takes place entirely from part 2 onwards. Also if it isn't Canon then why are scenes from it referenced on Wookipedia and more importantly why did they make action figures that were referencing this series specifically years after it ended especially since by that point the 3D Clone Wars was already out?

So for context of when this show aired. After Attack of the Clones, Lucasfilm wanted to show the Clone Wars to show what happens when Revenge of the Sith came out, introduce the Clones from regular soldiers to higher ranking with the different paint colors such as blue, red, yellow (etc), new planets and species, expand upon hero characters, introduce new villians such as Grevious and Ventress. As for the force feats in this show, Genndy really wanted to show just how powerful force users were that could be shown better in animation rather than in live action. Most of the voice cast weren't Actors from the films with the exception of a few such as Jackson. As for who directed the show, it was none other than the Legendary Genndy Tartakovsky an amazing animator whose shows mostly rely on story telling with little to no words, the master of "Show don't Tell" So When this aired on Cartoon Network, it was on Wednesdays at 6pm and every episode was only 5 minutes long, the anger and aggravation when missing an episode was so agonizing! This was considered to be cannon until they decided to remake the Clone Wars 3D. I still consider most of this to be cannon.

8:54 I think he's playable in the Lego Clone Wars game for example
18:15 Asajj Ventress is one of my favorite characters introduced in the Clone Wars.
19:44 the Jedi Survivor game has a character who's the same race as this guy Kenobi's fighting here
24:47 I think in the old Battlefront 2 game and games like the Episode III game you could replay the Operation Knightfall and Order 66 scenes
34:46 the sequels turned Ilum into Starkiller Base btw
36:52 you can do that still (we see that later on) but it's likely a bit harder to do
46:58 I think this guy (Master Rancisis) was also mentioned in Jedi Survivor, during the High Republic flashback. He was also in the prequels.
52:05 Ventress (the bald woman) gave him that scar in a comic
57:57 That's Sase Tinn, Palpatine kills him in Episode III.

For me, this is canon. Without it there are lots of unanswered questions about certain characters in the 3D Clone Wars show, well at least season 1 is canon for me.
