Codemasters went downhill when they removed cockpit view from Grid 2 way back in 2013.
Yea... I wasn't the biggest fans of Codies anymore, I always found them to be pretentious douchebags with a toxic community. But the made some solid racers. - I can still play 'Racedriver GRID' and 'DiRT 2' to this day, and of course the Rally-ones are pretty crazy. - And all the way back when I played games like "TOCA Touring Cars 2" as well.
But if I see what EA did with franchises like "Need For Speed"... I mean, I loved the earliest games, from 'The Need For Speed', "II SE", "III Hot Pursuit" when it was still Electronic Arts, all the way to the "Underground" ones. - But then they started to just keep on milking that whole "tuner car" crap that should've stayed in the early 2000s with the "Fast & Furious" flicks and "Pimp My Ride". - They even tried to go professional with "Pro Street", and though perhaps ones like "Shift" weren't bad, it just lost the essence of "racing exotic supercars in exotic locations", which something like "Forza Horizon" gets a lot closer to now. - Unless EA just lets their developers do good stuff, these games are going to suffer. Besides the fact that they'll want to monetize them more. - They might just become as mistreated as those in the "Sports" division, but who knows... Perhaps they get a chance like the latest Star Wars games.

I really enjoyed the work that was done on the last 2 WRC games. Was sad to see them eaten up by Codemasters and then EA in less than a year.
@@jeremyodwyer9232 agreed, also the F1 series. However, I feel the those are the types of licensed content that they want. A yearly release, where at the very least they change liveries and move around drivers to different teams; same with WRC, even better bc they don’t even have modeled out drivers. It also too bad bc I also love the Project Cars series, reminds me of the old TOCA race driver games.

I dont get why you re happy with Paradox. They constantly milk their games with DLC. All games they adquire get filled with DLC (in the tens)
Then don't buy it? I personally put thousands of hours into many of their games and have no issues paying for new content.
Me too - their games are pretty well made and the DLCs have great content. I don't mind paying for them either. I like it when a good game has a lot of stuff for it.

@@agustin2087 I don't complain about skin prices. It's simple. If I enjoy the game I'll throw some money at the developers. If I don't, I won't. Are $20 skins expensive? Absolutely. Very few people actually pay money in F2P games and keeping the skins expensive allows the dev to make money and provide a product that not everyone will have. If the skins were .99¢ then what would be the point of owning it if everyone else had it as well? It's artificial scarcity through pricing

@@MagicTater The fact that it has been blowing up on Steam for the last two weeks, garnering over 3 million sales, and has reached a concurrent player base of about 300,000 with a peak of 500,000. Also the fact that, for an Early Access game on Steam, it has almost no bugs or glitches (just some minor performance issues) and the gameplay is on par of that of a fully fleshed out survival co-op game that takes elements from Rust, Minecraft, Terraria, Skyrim, and Runescape. The game also has a roadmap for this year that lays out the next content being added to the game, FOR FREE. Essentially it is the perfect representation of how an early access game SHOULD launch on Steam.

I was waiting for Paradox to package these older games and their hundreds of dlcs. Like a Complete edition or something. Instead they will try to scam people.
The game used to cost money and now it's free. The dlc- which you can already buy in a bundle just like you were "waiting" for- even at a 50% discount would cost over $150. Instead you get a free game and you can try it with hundreds of dollars of dlc for $5. So... it's not a scam.

Very Positive Games: I'm an illustrator, and my business name is just Kristin Bergh Illustrator. I graduated from art school back in 2007 with a BFA in illustration, and one of my classmates registered his business as "Badly Drawn Illustrations". I wasn't personally friends with him and have forgotten his actual name since then, but last I heard he was doing pretty well.
