I’m sad again that the boys didn’t do good research. It’s been known for many weeks that the team that did Tony Hawk, Vicarious Visions who were recently folded into Blizzard, are doing this remake. They have an outstanding track record and because of that they were given the job.
So unlike other Bliz products I do have confidence this will be done right.

On top of Vicarious Visions handling the remaster, Blizzard has also stated they will not be replacing the original Diablo 2 with this version, as they did with Warcraft 3 when it was replaced by W3 Reforged disallowing you from playing the original.
@@blinkachu3394 This is the ideal course of action I really hope they stick to that. I've still got my D2 installed, really hope they can nail the remaster because D2 was, shit still is my favorite dungeon crawler. D3 was great and all but nothing captivated me like 2 has.

I think I understand what Alex meant about the Mortal Kombat Trailer. It wasn't bad per se but it didn't look good enough for a movie that would be a theatrical release. If anything it looked more like a Netflix series (a really good one for sure) judging by the trailer I saw. Am I the only one who sees this?

@@JeyVGaming There's Wreckfest if you want to play a car combat game. It came out a year and a half ago, and it seems like no one knew about that game. Almost every UA-cam video at the time had an ad for it when it had just released, and even before its release.

my elite v2 got that stupid ass drift. Had to send it into microsoft to get it fixed. Ended up having to get a wireless controller for cheap to hold me over for a couple weeks.

Bro, just look at Twisted Metal 2. Those cutscenes bring serious inspiration to storylines, especially Axel.
The thing with the MK trailer that has me worried is they showed Hanzo action and Subzero vs Scorpion action. That should've been left out of the trailer. If it's in the trailer, there's a chance that this is all they have.
_Edit:_ People seem to think that I want this movie to fail. I have played every game in the series except for Special Forces. I am the biggest fan. I played on SNES and Genesis when they came out. Every combo, every fatality, babality, brutality, animality, friendship, cheat code, etc. I want this movie to succeed more than even the studio. I'm worried that we have another situation of people, who don't truly understand the source material, making a movie and saying that it's for the fans.
I think they might have a bit more than that in a film about a fighting tournament.
Considering they also showed a bunch of other fights in the trailer, I think it's safe to say they have more than just Scorpion and Sub-Zero action.
I felt the trailer was good except some voice acting, some dialogues like 'get over here' sounded like he's saying it because someone told him too not because of rage lol, it felt soo weak

@@Prawnsacrifice That's not the issue. When a trailer contains scenes that show the part of the movie everyone wants to see, that's a red flag. Many of the worst movies have done that. Just check out AJ's worst films of 2020 list.

Well one of the games was actually gonna be set in a apocalypse called Twisted Metal Apocalypse but it never made it into production
It's been far too long since we've had another Twisted Metal game...
I wouldn't be surprised if the creators of Twisted Metal were totally influenced by Mad Max, so... I mean, revert "Twisted Metal" back to a motion picture and you'll pretty much have to make it "Mad Max". - What's interesting is that "Twisted Metal" just reminds one of "Carmageddon", made around the same time, and its main character is "Max Damage". Apparently, they WERE intending to make it a "Mad Max" game but couldn't get the license or something. - It's all the same kinda shit, really... So complaining about it is a bit moot.
In the end, I'm with Alex on this; Just make games. - I know that companies want to generate money in as many entertainment-branches as possible, but creatively and in terms of entertainment-value it's forced garbage and these IPs should just be or remain games. - If some people want to make something like short movies, cool. But like feature-length movies or series is just goofy and it barely translates. - Heck, then let Shawn "Clown" Crahan from Slipknot make a movie. He's kinda cheesy, but that's also kinda perfect for source-material like this. Besides, he could play the main character and the costumes would be awesome; He would fuggin' light himself on fire for real.

D2 Resurected is made by the team behind the Crash remakes and they were pretty faithful to the originals, and the few bits I've seen looks great... so I'm hesitantly hopeful. Every few months I go back to D2 with Median XL, Project D2 or Path of Diablo, so I'm glad it's getting some love. I mean we've only been begging Blizzard to ressurect themselves and remake Diablo 2 since even before the initial dumpster fire that was D3 released.
You can tell it wasn’t blizzard who’s working on it by how that game looks far superior to diablo 4
The PS4 controller that came with my console when I bought it in 2014 lasted me about 4-5 years before I started having issues with drift in the controller. Since then I have gone through 3 or 4 controllers because they last about 3 or 4 months before the sticks start drifting. Absolutely ridiculous how cheap their controllers are.

Loved Twisted Metal Black. The dark story if that game was so good, especially with all the weird hidden stuff with Minion/unlocking minion and other hidden characters. I've always wondered why they never made a 2nd? Black sold like crazy, it was a greatest hits? Oh well
@Tobias Grant that's the downfall to most live action thinking they need to bring in outside viewers. The Twisted Metal community is huge and if they change up the formula for some weird unrelated thing. They will lose the fans that care and the rest that didn't care won't invest.
@@ryohio4706 they could easily make a Twisted Metal TV Series on the Kane family and how the daughter fled after stabbing Sweettooth in the eye. The series could be her surviving his hunt for her and she ends up in a tournament to get away from him cause the creator of the tournament name Calypso told her he can grant her freedom from what haunts her every dream. She agrees, Sweettooth finds out and crashes the tournament to get her. Calypso gets pissed off with his ice-cream truck madness and sends Marcus Kane after him and Sweettooth kills Marcus and add his burning clown head to the truck and start hunting Calypso. After getting close, Calypso sends out a grand prize to the winner that takes out Sweettooth and that's how the Ice-cream villain becomes the most hunted. The Daughter goes mad, driven insane by the hunt and gets her hand on the Black Trailer Truck and it posses her pushing her to slaughter the other drivers. Mr. Grimm and Shadow focus on the two because of all the souls they're taking from them. As Grimm is dying of hunger and Shadow is being overwhelmed by requests from the dead to stop the mad three of Calypso, Sweettooth, Sophie Kane and the Twisted Metal Tournament.
I could keep going, I don't know why these people with access to make these things can't understand the material.

Probably for the best New World got delayed, the game was pretty bare, combat was shallow , enemy variety was laughable. The only thing that seemed fleshed out was the gathering and crafting.

He likes them fine I think what he's saying is let's not worry too much about telling the story of these games accurately when in the games the story is bare bones and mostly non existent. I mean twisted metal I didnt play but doesn't sound to have much. And monster hunter just has a poor excuse to go kill big monsters as a story
