Heres a tip...add a pat of butter to your jams and jellies and lay a wooden spoon across your pot. It WONT boil over!!!😁 YES IT WORKS. I do it to mine all the time.
Hi Tracey I'm so sorry I am just responding to your comment for some reason youtube had it held for review! I used to use butter, but because I have a family member that is allergic to dairy I stopped. Thank you for the tip though!

Yes, you will take the ring off and you can wash the jar with soap and water if there is any jam residue or any stickiness on the outside and then store 😁. I'm sorry it took so long for us to respond for some reason youtube had your comment held for review!
For this recipe, no it can not be altered for dry pectin and the reason is that different types of pectin require different amounts of sugar and acidity to set. If you have powdered there should be a recipe in the box for strawberry jam, but the technique will be different 😁. Happy Canning! ~ Kirstie

Can i use the powder pectin instead of the liquid one?

Why not give the funnel and ladel a swipe in the boiling water too?
