Never seen the pealing of beets..that's cool...thank you..
Thx you for the video - I'm in an apartment and wanted to know any way to store several small bags of carrots - I tried wrapping in lots of paper towel but after a week the paper towel is really wet - any suggestions - thx
❤❤❤ very educational thank you so much!
wasn't that a table spoon?
It doesn't work
Oh man I wonder what you could have gone wrong. Did you wet it down first
Great idea.
Thank you for not editing out the squished egg. It’s so encouraging to see someone that does this routinely handle mishaps.❤
Your welcome I'm glad we could do a video that really shows how it's done.
Fermenting has always be on my to do list and I've watched quite a few videos and I've decided that your way, for beginners was the way I wanted to go. Right now my cabbage is in the sitting stage for the hour and then I will carry on. I've come back to your video to make sure I don't miss a step. Thank you for this video 🙂
Where did you learn your recipes? Looks great. Thanks for sharing your recipes and video.
I bought a tiny jar probably 1 or 2 oz MAX of melot jam from some fancy company in new england. Check out that info for I forgot the company. Cheers!
I'm sitting here with a lot of apple pulp and this has all of the ingredients I have at home. I'm making it now. Thanks! Btw your kids are so adorable, great idea to have them be the judges and involve them in these videos.
A little bit of advice, if you put a damp cloth or some damp kitchen towel under your chopping board, it won't slide or move. Making chopping easier and much safer.
Pumice stone for toilets is way better than razor blades in my opinion
I said pumice stone for toilets because they’re more softer of a pumice then the ones for pedicure , the one for toilets breaks down easier and gets the stuff off stoves and toilets with easy and barely using elbow grease
I truly do thank you for sharing the wonderful recipe with me
Yum yum thank you ❤ for. Sharing. This with. Me 💕
I'm curious to ask if anyone has tried this same storage method with pumpkins and melons? And if it would work? Thanks.
thanks so much for your video. I happen to have cedar shavings. could those work?
So this is a hard one to answer because SOME varieties of cedar are food safe and SOME are toxic. So I would probably err on the side of caution and not use them unless you know what type of tree they came from ☺️. Hope this was helpful! Have a blessed day. ~ Kirstie
Can we store this in a basement (Michigan area)
Yes you can just make sure to watch your moisture levels.
Thank you so much❤❤❤❤❤
Your very welcome 🙏 God bless and have a great day
May the Good Lord watch over you and your family..
My recipe is super simple. It's just apple cider vinegar, enough sugar to be fairly sweet, salt, and pepper, and some herbs. Boil. Then, pickle the eggs with slices of onion and a couple of cloves of garlic. Wait one week. I just call them sweet onion pickled eggs. They're delicious.
Thank you for sharing your recipe!
Now why didn't I think of that!
Random question- What are the tongs you're using?
Great question those are canning tongs they sell online and at your local Walmart
Funny how we have to say approved when we don't need the governments approval at all for home canning.
I have a HUGE request. I try to boil eggs and NEVER get them peeled well. WHATS THE SECRET!!!
Older hard boiled eggs will peel better. That's the trick
hi, thanx for the video, i made apple cider. After 2 months, i got very pale thin mother & the liquid was pale with ph 4.9 only, what do u think went wrong❓ what should be the average ph reading..❓thanx
How do you clean up all that nasty film??? your burners still look bad
What about if you dry can it?
I prefer using apple cider vinegar.
If you look at the recipes in the description we use both ACV and White vinegar. The recipes are different 😊
I made pears yourcway and they came out perfect. Delicious
Must keep them in the refrigerator ? So beautiful and yummy ❤ thank you for your share.
Yes these recipes are all for refrigerated eggs 😄
Talk to much and don’t like the sharp voice
😂 I think it's hilarious that you took the time to tell me I talk to much LOL. You know you could just move on and not be an asshole. But that's just what I would do.
Thank you!!!
@@bpederson01 your very welcome 🙏 God bless Please look at our farm page on face book as well
Thank you so much for this!! Great how to video!
Thanks for the new info on the lids. Did you wash the apricots, and how? Now I want to see how you'd do this process "cold" - am somewhat confused lol!
So to cold start when canning fruit you will start with cold jars, cold product and a cold canning pot. You will get your jars ready the same way only everything is cold/cool. Then put them in your canning pot filled with cold/cool water and bring it to a boil. Once your pot reaches a boil you will start your timer and process the same. I hope this helps!
Wouldn't the red onions have done the same job of coloring the brine and eggs as the beets?
@bulkvanderhuge9006 no pickled onions do not dye like eggs but then they would have been pickled onion eggs instead of pickled beet eggs 🥚
When you concentrate melons the fact that they’re a gourd becomes more obvious so some of those savory gourd-flavors that we know from gourds like butternut squash and pumpkins becomes more prominent. Especially noticeable if you heat dry instead of freeze dry.
You put jars from the counter into boiling water, and then say they can't be shocked with hot jam. Glass breaks on cooling when it is suddenly touched.
Did freeze drying the mother work? Did you rehydrate it to make future batches of vinegar?
It made me smile each time your baby looked around you when you were wearing him. So adorable! Thanks for helping this newbie learn how to can apricots! God bless you and your family!
How is the zucchini when rehydrated
Taste like it came right out of the garden as long as you process it right. It is really a amazing process.
how many pancakes does one cup mix make?
@5A55YDEE hi and thank you for your awesome question. It actually depends on the size of the pancakes you make. If there are some extras throw them in the freezer for a busy morning
Also I am a new subscriber love your tips ❤❤❤
Thank you very much, and how long will last.
Those look amazing! I need to make a list and try one.
They truly are amazing and they are a great quick snack to have in the fridge. I really enjoy a nice spicy egg before heading out in the garden gives some great energy.
New subscriber here!
Thanks for all the helpful information. Yt hates people saying these things. Don't be surprised if they give you a strike. 🙄😒
I love getting different ideas to try out.
if you cant get potatoes in ground, try growing in containers.
Ty this helped bunches I couldn't figure out how to keep the jars from floating up😂
