Christmas merch orders really took us by surprise and we were flat out with them every day.
In this video you see us running around the countryside putting our tups out. As is often the case these days we were tight for time and had to keep pushing on which defo effected the quality of the video.

ABOUT ME
I’m 33 years old and I’m a sheep farmer from Ayrshire in South West Scotland, which is why I have such a strong accent! I was born and raised on a sheep farm watching my dad who was the shepherd.
At 18 I went away from farming to work in the city s a Police Officer and at 23 (2013) I decided I wanted to do something for some extra money so I went on a sheep shearing course. The hardest thing I’ll ever do was learning to shear sheep. [shudders thinking about it]
I shore whilst on my holidays from work for 2 years and then in 2015 my dad died so I decided to get my own sheep so I could continue working with sheep as it was something I loved doing. From there it escalated quickly from my first 4 sheep in my mum’s garden to now running around 1200 breeding ewes.
A few years ago I bought myself a sheep pregnancy scanner and have been building up my run since then.
I watched a few farm vlogs on UA-cam and decided I could have a go and now here we are!
Since starting The Sheep Game I have met Lizzy and had two incredible boys Jock and Angus. You will see them all on this channel!

I'm all for seeing Lizzie on camera more! This enterprise is a family affair, so it makes perfect sense for her to share her knowledge and perspective and make videos of her own on the channel. Good times ahead for the Sheep Game in 2024!

Glad you're concentrating on a quality breed that will hopefully launch your flock forward. You and LIzzie make an excellent team. I am in awe of Lizzie and all she does with being a shepherdess, a mother, a wife, a homemaker and carrying a new Wilson baby. You too amaze me with the many inventive ways to make ends meet from shearing, videos, merchandise, filming podcasts, scanning as well as being a dad, a husband and farmer. I'm exhausted thinking of all you do. Your boys are adorable and growing fast And there's another coming. Thank you for sharing and as others have said, don't apologize when you have to devote time to family. Family is more important always. Love to you and the family.
In New Zealand, we run about 120-150 ewes per ram. But my grandfather talks about running 300 ewes to the ram for 2.5 cycles in the 80s when subsidies were removed and money was tight.
Yes, more Lizzie. I love watching your world. This old (68) lady in the USA is very fascinated with what you guys are up to. My son has a bunch of sheep, mainly to keep the grass under control on his homestead here in Oregon.
It would be great to see your better half give it a go at making her own videos. Would love to see more of her sheep!
