Best thing about this quadcopter is that you can store it inside the transmiter sit it down,and never fly it again lol

I agree DX-2 is way better besides the problems with props

very nice mini quadcopter, i bought this one month ago it was tricky at firts , so i did learned very good how to fly a drone and im doing some upgrades ordering another bigger quads.. i have lots fun with this while im on the computer .. this is whta his name says: sharper flyer it lead you to become a good to perfect drone pilot.

Am I the only one who thinks it performed fine? I got one today from Walmart and I love it! The battery power could be better for me. But I love it.
I got this and started having trouble after 1st flight. It got all goofy. Then I tried that calibration trick and it flew perfect the next flight.

The flying time is extremely short, but it's cheap. Pretty fun to fly. Some say it's difficult to fly, even veteran drone flyers. I got a hang of it almost immediately and it's my 1st time using a drone, period.

I've had this quad for about a month now you are right when you say it is very slow to respond also the problem I'm having is it doesn't do Auto Land but with fully charged battery it will randomly just drop right out of the air....other then that its fast compared to the other mini drones in the same price category that I've owned

Wer u using headless during your flight test and do u recommend using headless mode all of the time. I have it so I want to get some information about it
Good video I have a DX-2 sadly the motor broke from a 50 foot fall I was gonna get a DX-1 but after this vid I am NOT. Please do a review on the sharper image mosquito. THX
u should review the sharper image DX-2 , DX-3 , and DX-4
I will be reviewing the DX-2 tomorrow, but not likely the DX-3 or 4.
I bought this drone a couple of weeks ago, and I thought that there was something wrong with me! Now I know that is not the case. I thought it looked neat and saw that it stored inside the controller. -& just assumed that it would have the usual features such as flips and multiple rates. I couldn't believe it when I opened it and flew it. -what a disappointment!! I totally agree with you, Ryan! What's the point of it when there are so many better drones out there for the same price??

Hey Flyin'Ryan happy holidays great vid! I got this from Christmas and would like to know how to change/remove the blades
They just pull off (may be easier to pry them off from below). And you just push the new prop on. Make sure you replace the prop with one that has the same pitch as the prop you are replacing.
Mine for the auto orentiation it’s a different button, which lights up white and mine doesn’t have those delays, I guess mine is just updated or sumthin

I think it's pretty clear from my review that I wouldn't recommend the DX-1 to anyone for any reason. heh
haven't flown this one but the skyviper m500 nano drone is 9 dollars more but that lil thing is a micro beast!

I saw these today at Walmart for $22.00 and thought " Oh well, may as well give it a shot at that price ". I should have checked with your channel first for a review as your my go to guy when it comes to toy grade quads, Ryan. These things totally ... yeah. It's going back to the store tomorrow. Oh, and the only reason I gave it a go is because I already own a DX-2 and rather like it. It's no Hubsan X4 series, but it's a decent enough of a flier. The DX-1 though ?? Pfftt.
Right!? The DX-2 is not bad at all, but the DX-1 seems like it has completely different flight programming, and it just feels so weird in the air. No idea what they were thinking with this one, and they clearly didn't do any research of the competition, to make sure it flies just as well as the other nanos.

Once you get the hang of the controls and get used to the delay and total lack of power, then you can fly this around. It's very difficult to control. The slightest breeze may as well be a storm as you will need to make a forced landing. The "auto landing" feature is actually a flaw. There is no warning when power is low. That's where auto land comes in. It's a forced landing from a dead battery. ROFL

There are so many to choose from. The Cheerson CX-10 is a great classic. Check out my playlists for reviews of a ton of different nano quads.

How long transmiter range?
Still fairly new to drones. This is my second drone I've bought (udirc falcon hd upgrade being my first) and I don't think it's half bad. I'm actually pretty pleased with it. But really what can you expect for $15 (at least what I paid at Walmart). But nice review nonetheless.
I've reviewed dozens of $15 quads that are far better. ;)

I bought this drone to mess around in my house but planed on giving it to my little brother and the first day of flying was fine and had no issues but the next day it makes a weird noise and doesn't fly properly I tried fixing the props and checking to see if the motor had anything stuck in it but nothing changed it it's still making a noise and flying weird

Hey Flyin Ryan, I bought my DX-1 Sunday, and it didn't come with a prop gaurd, I didn't see one in the box or transmitter. It's not that big of a deal to me though.
Weird. Wonder if maybe you got some sort of open-box return, a packaging error, or maybe they stopped including that, as a way to save a bit of money.
Sure, this lacks some features and can be misleading on the box, but this is the first drone in the Dx series, so it's not as perfect as the later ones. But I believe this was made to be for beginners like me and for simplicity.
Yeah, but beginners would be better off flying something that is easier to fly, and flies well. I am a pro, and I had a hard time flying this thing.
@@theimacman I guess so. The thing about this drone that sucks most for me is that the propellers get damaged easily, even with the guard on. One broke and I found it hard to replace it with a spare.
That's another good reason to get something more popular, like the Cheerson CX-10. There are tons of spares, and add-ons, etc, that you should be able to find for that nano quad on Amazon, eBay, etc.

Yeah I felt disappointed about it. I had one for about 10 minutes till I stopped because 1: it was a bad flyer and 2: had no charger so I accidentally grabbed an open one? But with still some power i flew it and yeah it's so hard that it would be so easy to hit a wall... Just returned it and tried the DX-2 and a tremendous difference. So smooth and really hovers soon as the first flight. Really loved your review you earned a new sub. What's the flight time for the DX-2?

I bought one. It took some learning but i finally mastered it. A little hard to trim some times. Other than that no problems. And yes the controller in wonky asf. And btw whats a better drone than this under 25$? Oh yeah it might be waterproof too i dropped it in mop water by mistake. :)
There are a TON of better quads under $25, if you look through my reviews. In the same size class, the first one that comes to my mind is the Cheerson CX-10. That blows this thing out of the water, and I think you can probably get it for under 20 bucks these days. :)

I agree to when I got that drone I was disappointed that there is no flip.
I had to settle for this glorious contraption today cause one I wanted are is gone from the stores lol.
As I figured i'll go the hard learning curve route with the micro ,then others will be cake.
Thing is, I'm lost on how i'm supposed to do anything useful w this in 2-3 mins. max flight time.
Anyone else seem to have this issue?

Yeah, if you're trying to learn on a nano (especially this one), you're gonna have a very hard time. Nanos are harder to fly than larger quads, and this one is particularly hard to fly. I would suggest at least moving up to the DX-2, or maybe check out the Syma X5C on Amazon, etc.

I can't get this drone to recharge. It worked out of the box and than I haven't been able to get power to it since.

Check out my review of the DX-2 though, if you're interested in the same design, but a bit bigger. The DX-2 flies much better. :)

Yeah, for sure. Check out the Cheerson CX-10.
Its very difficult to fly.. Battery life is tough to learn how to fly with such short battery life.

Nah, that's not my area of interest/expertise, and I don't have very good means of filming that sort of flying.

My drone has taken way more than 28 mins to charge out of box.😕
Fluffy Cloud Read the manual, it takes around 30-40 minutes to charge.

I'd be happy as heck just if the props would turn. Fully charged, new batteries, turn on drone, fast lights then slow, stick up then down to get the beep, nothing.
Sounds defective. Return it for an exchange, or refund.

You can get much better for less than $20. And, even if it's only $20, do you want me to suggest that you spend $20 on junk?
