Skipping your bait can put it into places that you can't regularly cast at. Some of the skipping in open water in this video was just for instructional purposes.
Great video! I just started this technique this year and after several outings have improved immensely. It really does open up a lot of targets that I would never have tried throwing into before and adds overall confidence as well.
@@emoutdoors5661 you hit the nail on the head with the confidence bro. I feel like a boss when I skip my jig into a nice spot and it pays off. Even if you don’t catch a single fish, you can always get a good day of casting and skipping practice in.
