Hey JVB - Thanks for the kind words! We do our best to break it down so seasoned pros and newbies can understand and decide whether a Reckless system is for them!
This is so thoroughly done and answers all the questions you might have about each product. Absolutely love how you manage to keep them so informative and on point throughout the whole video. Well done guys! And a huge shoutout to who ever edit these videos. Well done 🎥🙌🏻
Thanks for the stoke! We know that sometimes making a purchase on something you aren't familiar with is scary, so we tried to do our best to explain how the Reckless works to help reduce that fear!
Awesome video Pete. Own the V3.0, and found your mounting tips very helpful. Really like how the V.30 (and 4.0) allow me to run a more minimal configuration for non-camping rides, and more technical routes. Thank you!
The Reckless 80l is a staff favorite for that reason! It fits almost any bike out there and can shrink/grow depending on what you must pack for the specific trip!
Even though i already know much of what Pete's demonstrating but the way of communication and the format of video (or i don't know what :D) always keeps me hooked until the end. LOL!
Awesome to see the improvements with each series and showing them! I have the Backcountry 35ltr kit on my own DesertX and the other bike in the garage has the Reckless 80 kit, both fantastic and have proven their worth during our drops already!
Thanks Pete for this really great video. This time I could understand you even without reducing the speed of the video (not native speaker fan from Germany 😅) Just last week I got my Rackless 80 (V 3). Because it's not just aluminium cases like I've been using, this video is very helpful. It makes it much easier to understand and utilise the many possibilities. Thank you and keep up the good work.
Hey Raintisc - Stoked to hear that this video was helpful to you! You're right. Using a Reckless system does involve a little bit of a learning curve, but it's worth it!
Your already good videos keep getting better. I love my Reckless 80 V3. I tour mostly pavement and can attest that after low speed tip overs the bags are totally unbothered 😂 They save my legs and the bikes finish and are easy to carry into motels for security. Your flagship product in my opinion!
There should be a QR code with every purchase of luggage to this video. I love my Reckless 80, but I see that I have made some "common" mistakes in strap placement. Great video, I just needed it 6 months ago! LOL!
What a great video and covering of Your Reckless system. Interesting to see all the details showed and difference to my R80 V3.0. Every detail that makes the R80 so brilliant is covered effectively. Perfect to see where You mounted the Gnoblin on the Perun rack and how that position place the R80, have a Gnoblin coming in for Christmas ☝😁. As always we see alot of other new goodies in the latest videos showing up 😁👍. That new Basilisk color is just 👌. Keep up the great work!
Hey, Braapncamp - There are a ton of details that set V4 apart from V3, and we knew that we needed to communicate them! You're going to love using the Gnoblin it makes the Reckless system even more rock solid.
We have received feedback that the grab handles on some of the Africa Twins can be problematic due to the grab handle width but it can be mounted up and used.
I love my reckless 80 revolveron my gsa. looking forward on my iceland trip soon. I m a full tim camper and in combination with the hyperlite tent gear space it not a problem and it stays light weighted. keep doing the great gear and service smiles from switzerland
I am looking at the Reckless for my new 2023 Tiger 900 GT Pro. All my riding will be mostly on paved roads as I travel around America. I used soft luggage on my 2018 Fat Bob FXFB & plan to do the same with my new Tiger.
Hey Frank - If you are staying in hotels the Reckless 40L might be a better choice but the Reckless 80L is amazing for camping and if you have larger bulkier items to carry.
Just got my green set in. I had the 2.1 back country kit on my 1290. This new 80 reckless is going to be awesome in the tenere 700. PM rack works great with the gnoblin.
Been waiting for the orange color rebirth and you fulfilled your prediction they would return!! Yeah I have an orange KTM but for me, it’s more about visibility. As a fireman, I’ve seen too much carnage and anyway I can make myself more noticeable is money well spent. Just ordered a set last night. Suggestion: next versions, maybe add some reflectivity.
What tail rack are you using on the bigger adv bikes. Trying to decide on one for my tiger 1200 rally pro. Preferably one that has a hole far forward for the gnoblin. Thanks
We do have customers mount the Reckless 80L on the Scrambler 1200. It's highly recommended that you order an extra heat shield or two because of the high exhaust.
Hey Rob, Pete isn't using side luggage racks for this video but a larger rear rack. A few companies make great rear racks, like Perun Moto, Outback Motortek, and Black Dog Cycle Works.
Just installed mine yesterday. Outstanding kit. However, the Gnoblin should be included with the reckless kits. It’s an essential feature and at this price point it feels like it should be included.
In some situations, the Gnoblin isn't the right tool for the job, and we wanted the Reckless 80L to be as universal fitment as possible. The standard straps for the rear mounting make it so out of the box the Reckless harness will work with almost any bike.
Very much looking at this setup for my 890. Just wondering if there are any thoughts around security. There are times I'm riding through a city and may leave the bike to do a tour or lunch Ext. Previously I've used the packsafe mesh backpack locking systems. Just curious if others have found a good solution. Thanks
Hey DiveBC - You can route a cable lock through the leg holsters and around the dry bags to help secure the harness/legbags to the bike. Something similar could be done with the Stinger 22 if you don't take it with you!
Hey Jay - You can swap in a Scout Duffle, but we recommend removing the Reckless's beavertail and using separate straps to mount the duffle. This will allow you to properly secure the Scout duffle in place.
You can do it with the Backcountry Duffles but they are somewhat long. The length can overhang the leg bags making it difficult to get into them.@@jayd3931
Do the 3.0 leg/aux bags work with the Curv harness, both sizing and buckles? I like my R80, but the center harness seems like a nice upgrade if there was a "retrofit" option.
The Backcountry 40L can work with the Reckless 80L but we advise using separate straps to secure it. The Backcountry 40L duffle will overhang the leg bags making it difficult to get into them.
It's possible to use the Reckless 80l with a passenger. The two biggest factors are if you have space on the rear rack to hold the harness and the passenger's size. It's possible the harness could interfere with the passenger riding position if you can't slide it far enough back.
Thanks for the explanations 👌 I just have a question. I plan to buy one but I need to know if it possible to use it with a passenger on a big bike like a 1290 for example by placing the system on the rear end of the motorcycle. Does it work ? Did you already try it ? Thanks for the answer 😊
Hey Ben - You can use the Reckless and usually still carry a passenger. It will depend on how far back you slide the reckless harness. Additionally, depending on the passenger's size, the harness may affect their riding comfort.
What do you recommend for a Tenere700 Extreme? Does the Tenere need the exhaust guard and can the mounting plate be fitted to a Tenere700 or does it not need it at all? Thank you very much.
The Reckless 80L is a great option for the T700! We always recommend using the included heat shield for added protection. A rear rack does help add secure mounting locations for the rear mounting straps or Gnoblin but the OEM rear rack should work with the standard rear mounting straps.
You have the most updated version of the Reckless 80L! The new Atlas metal buckles are an inline change to the Reckless 80L but not a large enough one to change versions.
It depends on the bike and how much space there is on the rear rack. If you have a passenger the harness will need to sit where a normal top box would sit. We've heard from Customers that the Reckless harness can be uncomfortable as it digs into the passenger's back. If you plan on riding two up often we recommend looking into our Backcountry Panniers.
I bought it for a long journey after my AS Macadan was barely usable after 55,000 kilometres. i have a 701 enduro. will the frame even hold up in the included tank? i have the first version, what should i replace to have it last without problems.
You shouldn't need to replace anything to make your Reckless 80l last longer but we recommend checking any hardware to make sure it's still tight. I don't think I understand your question "will the frame even hold up in the included tank?". Can you give us more details?
Hey, bdg88 - You run the inner beavertail connection straps through one of the strap pass-throughs on the Stinger 22, and it helps keep the duffle in place!
4:20 You can see the center strap which goes through the webbing on the bag, preventing it from squeezing out sideways. In my opinion it is mandatory, as even if you squish the beavertail down, stuff in the bag can shift and cause the bag to move around - this has happened on my R80, luckily I used the loops on the bag and didn't lose it.
@MoskoMoto i could always fabricate something! Maybe it would be a EU first! Thanks alot for the information. If you want I can let you know how fitting etc went.
The Reckless 80l fits almost any bike out there so you shouldn't have any problems. You might be able to ask this question in our Facebook Group Mosko Moto Riders Group to see if anyone has pictures.
Itchy boots using 80L right? I ask because I want to pack my tree climbing gear, Rigging, and two chainsaws on my Honda 250L . I'll be riding around 50 mph more or less on asphalt to jobs. I'M a climbing Arborist.
The Reckless 80l should fit the Multistrada 1200 with no problem! The Reckless 80l fits larger ADV bikes like the Multistrada, GS, and KTM 1290 ADV well.
Funny that he has a bottem fixing point you guys don’t offer and the stuff you offer doesn’t fit at the passenger footpecks 😂 I have to drill the hole bigger
These recent overview videos have been excellent. A masterclass in efficient communication.

What tail rack are you using on the bigger adv bikes. Trying to decide on one for my tiger 1200 rally pro. Preferably one that has a hole far forward for the gnoblin. Thanks
Looks like our friends at Outback Motortek and Altrider make a rear rack that would work with the Reckless 80l and the Gnoblin!
Is rear duffle safe for laptop like the, or any other solution ? I have to carry it most of the time,
Got to have for my Norden 901 Expedition and my 450RL.
So nice.
Hopefully can afford sooner than later.
Well done!

The Reckless 80L will be a great travel companion on both those bikes!
Anyone know how this would fit on a scrambler 1200 xe? I'm mostly concerned about the exhaust heat

What about this configuration for a BMW900GS that have a Perunmotto back rack , the BackCountry 40 and the Rackless 80. ¿Does it fit together?
The Backcountry 40L can work with the Reckless 80L but we advise using separate straps to secure it. The Backcountry 40L duffle will overhang the leg bags making it difficult to get into them.
Hello Pete, does the Gnoblin prevent from using the 3 rear straps ? (I see you have 2 of them + the Gnoblin on the KTM)
Thanks
Correct, the Gnoblin will replace the three rear straps but you will still need the two straps at the bottom of the leg holsters.
@@MoskoMoto thanks, one more question : which position 1-2-3 or 4 do you recommend for the R80 on the KTM 890 ?
We suggest trying 3 or 4 as a starting point and then you decide of either of those positions work for you!@@jeanhuguesb
Awesome product!!! Can i use them with two people on the bike or they are working only for solo trips?
It's possible to use the Reckless 80l with a passenger. The two biggest factors are if you have space on the rear rack to hold the harness and the passenger's size. It's possible the harness could interfere with the passenger riding position if you can't slide it far enough back.

Does this also work for a Triumph Tiger 900? Could the passenger grabs handles cause a problem?
We haven't received any feedback indicating the Triumph Tiger 900 grab handles are an issue so there shouldn't be any issues.
