I'm 68 now and I take a cot with me. It's turned into a must or it's just a miserable night. There's plenty of super light weight choices, depending on how much you want to spend. Yeah, I've used pads, air mattresses and even fir tree bedding. Still, I don't go without my cot anymore. I've bow hunted all my life so I already have everything I need for a minimalistic trip. Ride safe!

The right side water bag with the straw is my favorite part of this rig. Hydration is so key and its so easy to neglect water intake on the ride. You know you wish you drank more water when your muscles are seizing up in the sleep bag at night. Great system Mason. As always, you've covered every angle.

I finally ordered the reckless 80 Revolver and the Nomax tank bag. You and Steve at Big Bike Adventures sold me on the system. Took advantage of Mosko Moto’s Black Friday Preorder special.
I’ve been running the Giant Loop Great Basin horseshoe set up but the modular set up and build quality of the R 80 R looks to be more versatile in use, and more durable.

You ride tubeless? I have the same Mosko bags but I carry extra tubes on my BDR rides since my tires aren't tubeless. Sucks because I have to make room for those. Takes up a good chunk of space in bottom of one of my side bags. I have a pump that takes up the space under my seat.

While looking for a Mosko Moto R80 just stumbled over your vid ☺️ That’s a pretty perfect setup in my eyes now going down to the essentials making a trip fun 😉 as well having experiences of about 35 years enjoying weight limited hobbies like small boats, hiking and now biking on a tiny yamaha crypton I’ll need that new gear for 😎 prefer that easy access and well organizing system (this for this and that for that) going blind through your stuff when anything needed especially under pressure!

Cool. My packing is organized basically the same. Slightly less at 51L entirely. I do wear a pack for jacket, and pitstop snacks.
Tenting stuff is also first out then everything goes in the tent. I have the same amount of clothes. I should carry a first aid, if not for me, maybe someone else.
Hunting scentlock base layers can go many days without letting everyone know you haven't washed in a while🤣 Also leggings while I wear knee/shin guards are a must.
Wow Eagle Creek makes a whole whack of organizational pouches/bags👌

Great looking setup, well organized and thought out! I pack slightly lighter then you but similar. I am camping off a KTM450EXC so I need to keep weight down. Unfortunately that means I don't get some of the creature comforts! I am due for a new sleeping bag though so I will be checking out that one you have! My tent is Nature hike and so far I have been pretty happy with it so I am definitely willing to give them a shot with other products.

A question regards the shape of the rackless soft bags in general: Do you think R80 tubular/holster design has any advantages vs Kriega OS rectangular vs Enduristan Blizzard sort of rectangular shape for orginising stuff? i know soft bags all give more or less but just thinking how effective can you pack&stuff things up without fine tuning some item has to go to a certain location or need to think about the sequence how things goes back into the dry bags.

    • @masonsadv

I run the MSR Dromedary Bag V2 in my leg holster on the R80 and MSR also sells a hose attachment so I use that at the length is comes with. The 4 ltr bag is just for around camp or if we expect to be super remote.
The hose cover is just a generic Water Bladder Tube Cover and I'm sorry but I don't remember where I got it. Possibly amazon.
