Lovely review Robert, thanks for including Adventure Spec. It's super helpful to get feedback like this as we move our product development forward. Best of luck with the new channel (and bike!). 🙂
Mosko gear is stupidly expensive in Europe, also there are no physical shops to try on for sizes for either company, so it’s a lottery if you get the correct fit
Not sure where your location is, but I believe they have a distribution centre in Europe, so no extra taxes if delivery in Europe, not sure if the same is in the UK. I just don't buy anymore bike clothes on the internet unless I know the size for sure, that's based on bad experiences with wrong sizes. @martinfretwell
It’s stupidly expensive in the U.S., as well! The quality and features are amazing, and the Rak isn’t too bad, but some of the jackets are $1200 USD plus tax. $1200 USD for a jacket?! You have to be kidding me!!! And i thought Klim was outrageously expensive! If i have to choose between a Moskomoto jacket or an AlpineStars Off-Road tech and cheaper jacket the choice is abundantly clear.
@@martinfretwell You essentially buy the gear knowing you're not sending it back. If it doesn't work then you sell it on the aftermarket and make what you can back and either try again or move forward with something else. That's my experience ordering things from across the pond.
Robert I have two thoughts to share with you since I saw your new channel but there’re quite a long ones… So here it goes - the first one: I really like your new channel more! It feels so natural I don’t really know if I should call it new :) During the years I was following the other channel less and less and although there was nothing wrong with it your new approach feels more authentic in a way - if that makes sense - and I enjoyed watching it more. In fact after the “how to camp like a swede” video I checked 3 times for new uploads. I believe that says something. So well done for following your authenticity and for inspiring us to do the same. I really like to hear your perspectives when you present or compare products. And I like this video as it gave a lot of “insiders view” about the products. I also liked the shouting location and presentation - it felt like if we were a bunch of friends sharing products experiences after a ride. Well done! And here is my next thought: I would love to watch your perspectives not only about certain products or adventures but also on why someone is choosing that. Let’s say this video is a comparison between two - for me - weird products. I was aware of the AS garments and it was good to see MOSKO is on the game too. But I never understood why I might need one as an adventure traveller. I’m kind-off getting it but at the same time I don’t really understand the purpose of these clothes. They look like something between motorcyclist’s and camper’s gear. Same with your AJP - although you’re giving some explanations on the comparison video with the T7 - again, to me - they both look different but still so close to each other. You wanted something lighter but then why not downsizing and going for something really lighter and then upsizing your T7? Wouldn’t that give you more diversity, more fun on the mud and more comfort&fun on the long trips? Is it because of the budget you have for motorsports (if that applies to you) or is it because you are attached to your T7 after spending so much time on it or is it just because? And I am getting it -there are toys. I do the same. But there is so little information coming from the manufactures and so much repetition from most UA-camrs that I believe most of us we don’t really understand what kind of purpose these machines are best made for… Somehow showing your garage and your gear it made me feel you are a normal person that makes videos whom - yes you might get your benefits from that - but you are not super loaded with “gifts” to promote to us the viewers. It felt content and complete but still minimal and with common sense - whatever common sense motorcycle world has 🤣. So what I am saying is it might be nice to hear the why someone should consider a segment of clothes or accessories vs another segment and then a product vs product comparison to consider which one might fit our needs best. It sounds so obvious but too obvious means everyone interpreting the why in our head and then we pretend we know. But the truth is most of us we don’t. Another example: I am planing a long trip in Central Asia and when I think of equipment the opinions are so many and most of them so right. But this is because everyone has it’s own idea of what such a trip is and should be based on experience confidence style and mainly budget in money and time. Same when it comes to what motorcycle is best for such a trip. So it would be - I believe - much nicer to know in advance the why of the person who shares an opinion. Of course watching you for so many years I can guess your choices but I believe it would be nice if you could make a series of videos on trip/motorcycle/clothe/gear types and why some are more or less attractive and more or less suited to you. If you feel there are more followers interested in these topics would be nice to get your perspectives. If not then one day I might travel to Sweden so I can ask you in person 🤣🤣 Thank you for your beautiful videos and your precious time! Again well done!
Thank you for your loong comment Constantin :) I am glad that you fell this channel is the same, but still a bit different and personal. It's what I am aiming for. It will be the same style since I made all videos on Nomad, so it's just how i make it, even if I constantly try to evolve. Regarding choices, I can't give you everything here but will think about it in upcoming videos. Still, I am not a person with the correct answers making wise decisions all the time. I also get bikes/gear because I somehow like the looks or the people who make them. Then I live with the good and the bad. Sometimes I get lucky, sometimes not. Then I want to share my experience on the factual level. With this new channel I do get a lot of great advice and requests. I am listening and always strive to make better. Thanks and have a great holiday season!
Another outstanding video. I have a pair of the single track pants and the only complaint I have is that they are, as we say in parts of the UK, a little like the Tower of London…there’s no ballroom! I will also say that customer service from both companies is outstanding but being British AS just tips the scales for me.
Hi Robert thanks for the great comparison, I was hoping for this and it is a fact. I will be in Scandinavia for 3 months in 2025, you have helped me a lot with your comparison, it was exactly the 2 models I had in my shortlist. I like the Mosko colors better as I like visibility when I'm riding - but I'll still go for the Singltrack as I prefer to stay dry. And I've been a fan of Adventurespec for a long time - great guys with good ideas. Who knows, maybe our paths will cross in Sweden... Merry Christmas and a great new year
Since basilisk is not properly waterproof maybe Klim Traverse or Revit's option is better. Or just go with rain pants and semi-meshy pants. Always hard to decide
Awesome review Rob and frear to celebrate the winter solstice with a wet ride 😁. The great thing with the these two jackets is tvat yhey are very outdoorsy, i have used both of these for outdoor use for several years. Walking yhe dog and bicycle to work, pretty muchv every day. This have learnt me alot of the jackets, how they work in weather and how they vent, and as well how they hold up over time. (Yes,i have both AS and Mosko sets.) I really like how You put up this comparison, valuable since there are no shops to walk in and just try the gear. Best thing with the upcoming ADV gear vompanies like Nosko and AS, is that they are close to the customers and listen. God Jul to You and Yours Rob 😁✊️✊️
Another superbly produced video. A little over-detailed for me (I'm a very fair-weather rider) but others will I'm sure find the thoroughness very useful. Your production values are very professional as always - it must take a lot of time.
Hej Robert., thank you so much for your review. I‘ll need a new dress sooner or later and I‘m happy with the information you offer! Helps a lot. God Jul to you and the folks - Jens
Thanks Robert, good review. I love both brands and would buy everything from them (I have a lot of stuff of both already) but I found out after many rally's and holidays with the tent that what works best for me is 1. separate protection (body and arms, knee braces, padded underpants - this is my expensive part as braces alone are close to 800 euro) 2. motocross pants (only 70-80 euro for pants) and a light motocross T-shirt or enduro jacket (+/- 80 euros for a jacket and 50 for a T-shirt) 3. when it rains ... a rain layer (Scott also 2x80 euro) ... and that combo works from +35C to -5C!
I ditched those motorcycle jackets after finding Knox gear. Now I just wear my regular outdoor coats over my Knox mesh jacket, and a rainproof layer on top if needed. I hated all those bulky motorcycle jacket layers.
Since my AJP was stolen I was unable to watch a motorbike video again. Insurance company reimbursed me yesterday, so I can order a new bike (AJP) again. I open youtube and land on this new channel of yours, talking about the both motorbike gear I'm interested in. Currently having some AS gear and looking to complement it with some different clothes, this video was once again very valuable! Hope to cross path at some point! Thanks for your videos, keep it up and happy holidays!
Ah how terrible to get your bike stolen! It's a constant fear we have. Glad you are getting an AJP again. I only have 400 km on mine so far. Good luck with the gear hunting and thanks for watching
@rbaldinger my bike was 1200km. Just did the first service 🙈 have to start again, but hey, I'm healthy, I got the money back and I can start working on getting one shipped to me and homologated so I can start riding in spring again :) and also I have to courage to watch bike videos again which is of great value :'D Thanks for your reply! Will be here to support this new channel! And have fun with the AJP!
I have had my Klim Badlands jacket for 10 years now, and the waterproofing side of the jacket is coming to its limits. I should consider Mosko or AS. Thanks for sharing
A nice review, Robert. Unsponsored here...I've used both from the Yukon and the North Pole to the deserts of Baja Mexico. My view is Adv Spec is generally lighter and more well-thought-out. It's more protective with the use of abrasion materials, better zippers, etc and better use of materials. I find the Mosko stuff relies heavily on whatever you wear underneath for protection. Mosko reminds me of Fjallraven, especially with the "Woodsman" and "Jackaloft" . When I wear Mosko, I must account for protective abrasion-resistant gear underneath for the lower and upper body. I find MM more fashion-forward - you look cooler on and off the bike...In my opinion, the bottom line is if you want better protection, lighter weight and functionality, ADV SPEC. If you want to look cool , hang with the cool kids, and wear full body protection (abrasion and impact) under your MM gear..Mosko. If ADV Spec reads this....sort out your shipping to Canadastan issues already.
Yup, I look for those lighter, longer days after today! I like the AS stuff, & have a Linesman jacket, but think the MoskoMoto colours are good. I know AS puts great store by their colour choices and the similarity to walking gear, but I like to think I’m visible to any car drivers who care to look... I don’t wear protection in my jacket but have a Knox shirt underneath with all the pads etc. Happy Christmas, and happy trails in January!! Les 🇬🇧
Hi Robert, good video. One of those many of us are really interested since, let's be honest, these two brands are the most specialized for adv clothes they way we like it. I have items from both. I started with Adv Spec in their early times, then moved to Mosko for a few things but I think I will go back to our fellow British lads. I like all the effort they are putting in their products and the people who work there. Plus, I live in Norway not in Moab and I think it's not a bad idea try to reduce shipping impact in all respects.
By the way; Nice AI generated thumbnail on the video 😄, good to know in real life you are not as cross-eyed as the star-face character in the mosco outfit 😂. But realy, nicely done! 👍
Great video! For me, AS gear is the best choice. You can really see that the pockets, ventilation and zippers are useful when riding the motorcycle. The cheaper price is also a plus for me. If I'm going to buy waterproof clothing and spend $1,000, then it should be waterproof! Maybe it's really as you suggested: AS gear is better suited to the European market. But a few colors would definitely do them good! 😂
Nice review of both. I'm currently waiting for getting an extra suit. More suited for off road. But during Eicma there was so many new stuff that I'm going to wait till it is in the shops. Merry Christmas and enjoy New Year.
Another amazing video from you! We truly enjoyed it, and we really appreciate that you covered motorcycle-specific gear in this episode. Learning these tips from someone with years of riding experience is incredibly valuable, especially the part where you explained the challenges during rainy conditions and how water tends to collect in the crotch area. That was particularly fascinating because, as someone who hasn’t ridden yet, figuring out such details would be nearly impossible. Thank you so much! By the way, me and my twin brother have signed up for motorcycle training classes. They’ll start after the Christmas holidays, and we’ll have practical sessions in the spring! We’re both super excited 😃 Thanks again, and please keep creating your amazing videos!
Robert the Roo. Really Like Mosko Moto equipment. I speak to them often with ideas and recommendations. A very proactive company. I haven't much experience or knowledge first hand of ADV Spec clothes. Only what I see with you guys. I like the styling. Of course being a little chubby the Mosko suits me. I like freedom of movement while riding. Never like a tight bag. The Mosko seems developed from outdoorsman use to travel on a motorcycle. Strong but with some design upgrades needed. Especially the zippers and the general concept of having opening in the airflow which let moisture in. Good production Robert. You are getting the hand of the divorced lifestyle. A new born sinner. Just don't wad the mic up in the coat. All good from east Kentucky USA. Let the snow fly on this short day.
I guess ventilation is not the most important thing here in Scandinavia or the UK, it’s more about water proofing 😂 But i see how ventilation is more important in Canada and the US, with temperatures up to 40°C/100°F.. I’m leaning more towards AS these days, just waiting for the lottery to kick in.. And if it does, I might end up with both, like Robert and Mattias do 😂
@@erikherje3414 yeah. I’d say you guys are a bit cooler and wetter (on average) than we are. Here in western Canada, we’re quite dry. Our summers are often 30%-40% relative humidity! Due to our altitude, our mornings are cool. We almost always need an extra layer to start the day.
Thank you, spot on video. I didn't even realise I was waiting for this comparison. 2 leading manufacturers on that field, however Leatt came up with very interesting options to compete. I also use Knox armour underneath. Possible option is also Knox Dual Pro over jacket (light, warm, waterproof).
I am new to the adventure world (not motorcycles, I ride for thirty years). I think those products are great but so expensive that become a moot point. I rode for more than three months on technical terrain wearing enduro/mx clothes. Sure I looked like an alien in urban settings but that’s not were I was spending time. Also I crashed many times and pierced them, but didn’t care cause they didn’t cost that much at all. I spend the money on top notch knee braces, boots, torso protection and helmet, which are the things that actually kept me going after crashes. Being at times cold, wet, hot, whatever is part of the game. To each their own of course. Thank you for the video and the info.
Robert, I would be interested to know if you’ve experienced any snagging issues with the main zip on the AS single track jacket? I have one in the blue colour which I believe is a recent model but it really needs updating with a strip of stiffer material along the inner storm flap where the zip contacts, to prevent snagging. This annoying issue is the only gripe I have with an otherwise excellent jacket. A mate has the same jacket/issue and got so frustrated trying to zip it up in a storm he had to force the jammed zip which then broke rendering the jacket unusable. We both bought them second hand (but like new) off individual private eBay’s sellers (my seller said he was ‘upgrading’ to Mosko Moto so maybe he was fed up with the issue). I don’t know if AdventureSpec will be interested without an original purchase receipt but I guess I should still contact them with my feedback for future product development. Keep up the great content! 👍 Regards Chris
Brilliant video again Robert happy Winter Solstice been looking at some new kit for dad and I so great to see another very honest and detailed video thanks for sharing.
@ haha yep he is :) I sold my t7 for a nx500 for him earlier in the year the smile on his face was super worth it then loved it myself that much I’m letting the 1150gsa go for another nx500 so worked out well :) my badlands gears going on for 11 years old now an there’s a few things dads not overly mad on with his Carlsbad so thinking I’ll get us both something new before our Norway trip :)
Great video for sure. What I never understood is why motorcycle clothing has to look like street sweepers uniforms and who needs so many pockets? And so expensive! 🤦🏾♂️
I switched to wearing armour under my jacket and have tried a few different waterproof jackets over the top and found the ones without a front zip (smocks)to be better, might just be the ones I’ve tried but they all leaked in through the zip if ridding for more than a couple of hours in the rain
I'm looking to get single-track pants for next summer season. Probably v2 from pants will arrive the week after I do purchase 😀. These gears are a bit costly, but I haven't regretted buying those.
I only have a couple pieces of mosko gear but i really like what I have, especially my woodsman pants. I dont have any Adventure Spec stuff at this time, but I wish i knew about the supershirt back when i initially bought separate armor.
Nice revue Robert, if the choice was only between those two then it would have to be the AS kit, not only because of the more waterproof zips and price but also because I avoid anything orange I cannot eat; KTM and HD's included 🙈🙊🙉😉🤣. Merry Christmas to you and yours young man 🎄🎁🎁🍺🍺Cheers 🥃Slainte 🤗
We have it easy now. My waxed cotton Belstaff from the 80s always smelled of petrol and weighed a ton. Are they all AAA-rated? I always replace the soft knee pad with hard enduro hinged knee braces. Those damn rocks and trees 😀I wonder if I could get the Adventure Spec stuff cheaper still here in the UK. Some research is needed.
Isn't this Mosko gear just like a winter ski jack shell. I prefer the Adventure Spec which I own. Only issue I have is that I live in Canada and AS does not ship here. I had to ship to USA border and drive across to get it. Very strange they don't have a Canada shipping option even if I agree to pay for it.
I bought the Rak as well for last summer 5 weeks on Iceland in combination with the BMW Karakum top and Klim Pants...As just an outer layer I find the Rak still too voluminous also the weight. then I guess prefer a simple gore tex Layer over the top. (testing the Dirt series Revit Rain Jacket...which is very small to pack...BUT talking about heavy rains in the cold weather I would then again prefer the thicker materials like the Mosko Rak Jacket. The Klim Jacket is alright but just too hot in summer and too heavy over all combinations. An important point is to get dry as quick as possible ..with Mosko you stay wet for a too long time... Gore usually drains and dries even over night when humid. I now got the Nucleus Revit Protector Jacket all new and will test again the Mosko Gore and Light Rain jacket combination with thicker Layers underneath. (Switzerland is just crappy all year through apart from 3 months in summer)
780 euros for waterproofs pants to end wet ??? Are we dreaming ??, same for adv jacket, I'm using for years an O Niel baja jacket with tons of pockets and zipping sleeves + back pouch for them, 120 euros... Pants ? alpine stars WP top model is half price ...Each his own, but we are a bit walking on the head...Anyway keep the good work ;)
Hej Robert! Great video as always! How about abrasion resistance? Are one better than the other? Or would you rather have the abrasion resistance in your protective jacket underneath? Thanks!
Hej 👋🏻 They both claim abrasion resistance. I don’t know how much but AS feels more resistant. However as you said, I wear the protection under the outer layer. (Knox urban pro). When hot I wear no outer layer at all or just a mx shirt. Thats the beauty of layering.
Nice video 📹 Robert...it's good to see different colourways to boring black!. Both companies make good gear..I'm looking to get some Woodsman pants from Mosko, obviously that will need a waterproof over trousers. For Autumn, Winter etc my Klim Traverse are all day dry. It's funny, I'll buy a £ 10 fleece from the Country store, a £20 pair of jeans from the supermarket but will spend £500 on a pair of ADV trousers..😂😂! Ps..does your heated jacket work ok over your body armour...? Cheers Steve 💚
@ I boycott companies like Mosko Moto. Good but ridiculously overpriced. It’s the men’s equivalent to a Chanel bag!🤣😂 I have always used enduro pants for adventure riding. Costs 100 euros. I prefer changing clothes in camp to a dry pair of pants and ditching the boots for a pair of crocs anyway.
@rbaldinger What do you mean ”the jacket will be a bit wet” and ”the water sticks to the jacket”? So water doesn’t bead on the outside fabric? This is advertised as ”waterproof” on Mosko’s webpage. If water sticks to the fabric that doesn’t sound even water resistant. I’m confused…
Hi Robert. Very nice video! I am just about go to lighter gear. Probably will take Revit as they do long versions of pants (I am 192/90). Where I am not sure is version of pant, if wateproof or not (less or more ventilated). How you feel in summer when temperature is over 30 - 35?
If it’s really hot I don’t take waterproof pants. I use really light stuff and the pants air dry easily when riding. But in Sweden you rarely get those temps
Interesting comparison. Did you purchase these brands or were they given to you? Although you have both, which do you wear most often and why? Most folks cannot afford to have multiple riding outfits especially at the prices they sell for. I appreciate the basic comparison and the pros and cons. So kudos to you there.
It’s a mix of bought and given. It helps me try things as I could not afford it personally. I don’t get paid and AS or Mosko had no idea I made this video. I have been using the AS for years and since July I have only used Mosko to build experience on their stuff. Time will tell what I use more.
Ah! Yes. The shortest day. The Solstice has come and gone. Reminds me when my pregnant girlfriend had the baby. We are over the HUMP now. All good. Brighter skies.
I went with combination of the two. Mosko Woodsman pant and AS Mongolia trail jacket, both made for dry warm/hot weather. Can't wait to put them to test upcoming season! :) I find jacket integrated protectors not comfortable though. What is the black protective jacket you are wearing this video may I ask Robert?
I have looked at these brands but there is no store to try on in the north of Sweden, for me who is tall and thin it is very difficult with sizing. I bought klim raptor gtx over shell jacket and pants, could try on in the store. Good with pockets and large ventilation pockets. A little stiff fabric when they are new, but have softened. What kind of knee pads are you wearing underneath?
@ Knox looks better for sure. Almost like a jacket. But supershirt has chest protector in addition and this peace of equipment should be only about protection in my opinion. Which bring me also to another hot competitor - rev it proteus. Maybe a good compromise between those two. I really dont ´t know which one to chose…
Great video as always Robert! I'm in the market for new motorcycle pants and thinking of going with adventure spec. How is the sizing on the singletrack pant? Would you size up or down?
Jag har Knox Urban Pro som är AA-klassad. Då kan jag ha vad som helst över. Jackan är en "Enduro touring" jacka och har mindre slitskydd än en riktig mc-jacka.
Nice video again :) i really like the Mosko gear except the price :) for now we recently upgraded to to reckless so we're kinda broke gear wise. 😂Allready any plans for the next season? we are heading south again this year TET Slovenia, croatia and Bosnia this time
Yes gear prices are tough, but we spend a lot on new bikes 😂 2025 had so many plans I can’t wait, or do them all 😂. Texas, UK, Sweden, Romania, Slovenia… Mars? Oh right.. i have a wife and a job.. still
@@rbaldinger whahaha yeah i am the lucky one we both ride :) maybe we meet up somewhere this year. Karin had not yet had the chance to eat surströmming which could make a nice video 🤣so maybe we will be up in sweden somewhere this year
@@MrBeardfacee Ive found waterproof socks great, even on multiday trips. I dont usually bother with them when its hot as they can be very warm. Below 18c they are no worse than enduro boots themselves. To avoid foot rot just make sure you air them out if they get sweaty and take a couple of pairs if you are on a trip. I have seal skinz and oxford socks. Happy with both. I prefer long ones. Non water proof boots are definitely easier to dry if you have no artificial heat source to put in them. Good luck. Paul
I have to say I was incredibly disappointed with Mosko Moto. I ordered a Gnome tank bag, I had to pay in €uro, which cost me money as I’m in the UK. After three weeks they cancelled my order and returned most of money less the exchange fee charged by my bank - this cost me money to have Euro paid into my account. They did this because they had no stock, but in the same email they said they were expecting new stock very soon and as a gesture of good will they were going to offer me free delivery and sent me another invoice to pay again - which was going to cost me an exchange rate again. Why couldn’t they just send me what I ordered in the first place with an apology for the delay. I will never buy anything from Mosko Moto ever again. They are a shambles.
@ Let’s not talk about brexit, worst thing the UK ever did. But yes, I would have had to pay import duty and VAT if the Gnome had turned up. I bought a seat from a US company a few years ago and got around the duty etc by them stating it was a “repaired” seat on the shipping information - I should have sent them the old one to re-model but they bought a new one as it was cheaper. Best seat I ever had on my KTM, the company was Renazco Racing.
Good review of two of the best kits in the business. It´s fun to see how the two manufacturers so clearly reflect their geographical heritage - UK vs US Westcoast. I wear both and like them a lot. Bang for the buck is an issue for most and the increased price tag on Mosko Moto gear makes many seek alternatives. Adventure Spec gear is well thought out and maybe more suitable for the Scandinavian climate, perhaps representing a better value for money. Also, "The Return of The Anorak" is a real thing - more companies now are offereing this design in their lineup, like Revit and Fox. My Mosko Moto Rak is so far my favorite through all seasons. When will we see one from AdvSpec?
Lovely review Robert, thanks for including Adventure Spec. It's super helpful to get feedback like this as we move our product development forward. Best of luck with the new channel (and bike!). 🙂
Thank you AS team!
I am glad you are here. Please make your kit more protective. A rating is not good enough.
@@thelanehunterdevon1664 AA requires pads, like the Gravel pant
If adventure spec had slightly nicer fabric and Klim Dakar cut on the vent zipper it would be an awesome pant
Some more feedback...be cool if AS would start shipping to Canada
When you said California, my ears perked up... I truly feel blessed to be able to ride all year around.
Yes that is a blessing. Still, I do like seasons. The thrill of seeing dry roads in spring is like finding an oasis in the desert :)
Mosko gear is stupidly expensive in Europe, also there are no physical shops to try on for sizes for either company, so it’s a lottery if you get the correct fit
@@ObanHighlander indeed hard with the sizes. They are big so I choose one size down on pants
Trouble is you have to pay vat when it comes into the country but what happens if you have to send it back
Not sure where your location is, but I believe they have a distribution centre in Europe, so no extra taxes if delivery in Europe, not sure if the same is in the UK.
Honest and informational....That´s exactly how we want it! Tack så mycket, Robert 😉
Tack själv!
But there is so little information coming from the manufactures and so much repetition from most UA-camrs that I believe most of us we don’t really understand what kind of purpose these machines are best made for…
Somehow showing your garage and your gear it made me feel you are a normal person that makes videos whom - yes you might get your benefits from that - but you are not super loaded with “gifts” to promote to us the viewers.
If not then one day I might travel to Sweden so I can ask you in person 🤣🤣
Thank you for your beautiful videos and your precious time!
Haha loved the ballroom analogy 😂 cheers mate
Hi Robert thanks for the great comparison, I was hoping for this and it is a fact. I will be in Scandinavia for 3 months in 2025, you have helped me a lot with your comparison, it was exactly the 2 models I had in my shortlist. I like the Mosko colors better as I like visibility when I'm riding - but I'll still go for the Singltrack as I prefer to stay dry. And I've been a fan of Adventurespec for a long time - great guys with good ideas. Who knows, maybe our paths will cross in Sweden...
Merry Christmas and a great new year
Thank you and welcome to Sweden 🇸🇪 Merry xmas
Since basilisk is not properly waterproof maybe Klim Traverse or Revit's option is better.
Or just go with rain pants and semi-meshy pants. Always hard to decide
Such a cool video! I enjoyed the comparison and the way you presented it. Thank you!
Thank you 😊🙏
This has to be the fastest growth of a new channel. EXCELLENT WORK.
Haha yes perhaps 😊 i am blessed
Great to have you back mate, very useful review. Mosko pants really kick it in terms of design.
Thanks mate
Good explainer video. Will ride in Sweden end of april. Will be second time. Love your country.
Thank you!
(Yes,i have both AS and Mosko sets.)
I really like how You put up this comparison, valuable since there are no shops to walk in and just try the gear. Best thing with the upcoming ADV gear vompanies like Nosko and AS, is that they are close to the customers and listen. God Jul to You and Yours Rob 😁✊️✊️
Thank you tjommi! You have even more experience so it means a lot. All my best wishes to you and your family.
Agree. Both are very good brands. Almost as good as Klim.
Another superbly produced video. A little over-detailed for me (I'm a very fair-weather rider) but others will I'm sure find the thoroughness very useful. Your production values are very professional as always - it must take a lot of time.
Much appreciated! I don’t notice time when making videos 😊
Som alltid Robert, du gör de bästa videorna! Tack för det! God jul till dig och din familj!
Tack så väldans mycket! Go jul!🎄
Hej Robert., thank you so much for your review. I‘ll need a new dress sooner or later and I‘m happy with the information you offer! Helps a lot. God Jul to you and the folks -
Jens
Thank you and God Jul 🎄
Good to see your new channel. Take good care Robert.
Thanks, you too!
Layering is great. Thanks for your feedback and meery xmas 🎄
I ditched those motorcycle jackets after finding Knox gear. Now I just wear my regular outdoor coats over my Knox mesh jacket, and a rainproof layer on top if needed. I hated all those bulky motorcycle jacket layers.
Good thinking 😊
Hot topic 😊
Thank you for the content and sharing your experience 🙏
Just did the first service 🙈 have to start again, but hey, I'm healthy, I got the money back and I can start working on getting one shipped to me and homologated so I can start riding in spring again :) and also I have to courage to watch bike videos again which is of great value :'D
Thanks for your reply! Will be here to support this new channel! And have fun with the AJP!
Thanks mate. Happy holidays!
I’m a big fan of my Mosko Moto gear. My Basilisk Jacket & Pant are comfortable all day long.
Indeed so 👍🏻
The basilisk is great but why name after Harry potter
😂
I have had my Klim Badlands jacket for 10 years now, and the waterproofing side of the jacket is coming to its limits. I should consider Mosko or AS. Thanks for sharing
Glad to help 😊
Thanks for your thoughts.
Yes, spring is coming. I am thinking about what to wear on the NC500 in may. Probably just buy a rainproof overall.
In UK thats a good idea 👍🏻
Yup, I look for those lighter, longer days after today!
I like the AS stuff, & have a Linesman jacket, but think the MoskoMoto colours are good. I know AS puts great store by their colour choices and the similarity to walking gear, but I like to think I’m visible to any car drivers who care to look... I don’t wear protection in my jacket but have a Knox shirt underneath with all the pads etc. Happy Christmas, and happy trails in January!! Les 🇬🇧
Happy xmas! Thanks for the comment
Indeed, I do like the people at both AS and Mosko. I like to use brands where the people are passionate. Cheers
Hi Robert, yet again a very informative (and humorous) video. Doing it like a pro! Keep it up 👊🏻
Thank you 😊 means a lot
By the way; Nice AI generated thumbnail on the video 😄, good to know in real life you are not as cross-eyed as the star-face character in the mosco outfit 😂. But realy, nicely done! 👍
*scar-face 🙄
@@DutchThrottles Haha thank you
Perfect comparison. I am more AdvSpec. More functionality, less fashionable. And the price💸
Thanks for sharing mate
Great video! For me, AS gear is the best choice. You can really see that the pockets, ventilation and zippers are useful when riding the motorcycle. The cheaper price is also a plus for me. If I'm going to buy waterproof clothing and spend $1,000, then it should be waterproof! Maybe it's really as you suggested: AS gear is better suited to the European market. But a few colors would definitely do them good! 😂
Thanks mate. Love AS but as you say some colors would not hurt
Thanks Robert for the review
My pleasure
Nice review of both. I'm currently waiting for getting an extra suit. More suited for off road. But during Eicma there was so many new stuff that I'm going to wait till it is in the shops.
Merry Christmas and enjoy New Year.
Merry xmas 🎅🏻
I have to say that I am very happy with my setup with Adventure Spec.
Glad to hear it!
We’re both super excited 😃
Thanks again, and please keep creating your amazing videos!
Thank you. And best of luck with you classes! 👊🏻✊🏻
Cheers mate. Indeed the mic position was a problem 😊
I’d go for the Mosko Moto every day of the week. Much better looking . I’m sure the AS gear is also good but the Mosko kit just looks more comfy.
Comfort and look goes to Mosko for sure
I have the linesman pants and really like them except the buckles you mentioned too. But will try to view the mosko as well in a shop
Cheers mate
Hey Robert.....Thanks for that!! I was a AS user, however now a Mosko fan. Ventilation is/was a deciding factor for me. All the best from Canada!
Thanks for sharing 👊🏻✊🏻
Great review ! 🎉. Happy Christmas and new year. 🇸🇪🇩🇰🇧🇻
Happy Christmas 🎄
Very helpful review! 👍
Glad it was helpful!
Yes, the new Leatt adv helmet looks awesome too 😊
@@rbaldinger Yes indeed, on my list for 2025
Wow, more than double the subscribers! (since I subscribed). Very good comparison of two of the top brands.
I am very grateful 😊 cheers mate
Indeed good protection and MX/enduro wear is a great way to go. Thanks for joining in
Robert, I would be interested to know if you’ve experienced any snagging issues with the main zip on the AS single track jacket?
Regards Chris
Thanks Chris! No I haven’t had this problem and I used them for 5 years now. But sure would be good for AS to know. Cheers
Brilliant video again Robert happy Winter Solstice been looking at some new kit for dad and I so great to see another very honest and detailed video thanks for sharing.
Thanks mate! Lucky dad 😊
@ haha yep he is :) I sold my t7 for a nx500 for him earlier in the year the smile on his face was super worth it then loved it myself that much I’m letting the 1150gsa go for another nx500 so worked out well :)
my badlands gears going on for 11 years old now an there’s a few things dads not overly mad on with his Carlsbad so thinking I’ll get us both something new before our Norway trip :)

excellent stuff! Great review for great gear.
Cheers 🍻
thank you for sharing your experience
Great review Robert 🙌
Thanks mate
Great video for sure. What I never understood is why motorcycle clothing has to look like street sweepers uniforms and who needs so many pockets? And so expensive! 🤦🏾♂️
Snyggt förklarat 😊
Tackar 😊
I switched to wearing armour under my jacket and have tried a few different waterproof jackets over the top and found the ones without a front zip (smocks)to be better, might just be the ones I’ve tried but they all leaked in through the zip if ridding for more than a couple of hours in the rain
Thanks for sharing mate
Great review Robert 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Regarding the rubber on the single track pants, you could get some shoe goo and putt a thin layer over the deteriorating rubberization.
Good tip 🙏
I'm looking to get single-track pants for next summer season. Probably v2 from pants will arrive the week after I do purchase 😀. These gears are a bit costly, but I haven't regretted buying those.
Murphys law says v2 comes after purchase 😂
I only have a couple pieces of mosko gear but i really like what I have, especially my woodsman pants. I dont have any Adventure Spec stuff at this time, but I wish i knew about the supershirt back when i initially bought separate armor.
Indeed. Love the woodsman
nice comparison! I like boith looks - gotta test both brands and choose the gear day by day , what I need/want more :)
We have a word for want/need 😊 ”villhöver”
Great new content !
Thanks!
Dette var en en viktig video Robert! Vurdere nytt kjøreutstyr nå. Ønsker deg en riktig God Jul 🌟🎄lykke til videre 👍🏼👍🏼
Tack ska du ha :) God jul och gott nytt!
Haha thanks. Slainte 🥃
Nice video. You should try Aerostich. It doesn’t look fancy but works great. It kept me dry on my Alaska trip.
Yes they look great, thanks
We have it easy now. My waxed cotton Belstaff from the 80s always smelled of petrol and weighed a ton. Are they all AAA-rated? I always replace the soft knee pad with hard enduro hinged knee braces. Those damn rocks and trees 😀I wonder if I could get the Adventure Spec stuff cheaper still here in the UK. Some research is needed.
Old gear is cool though 😊
Proffsig posing där! Snyggt jobbat! #bigfan
Haha tack! Ska söka jobb på Ellos 😂
Mosko Moto is quite expensive over here. Thanks for sharing your experience. Gotta get some better gear. Günter/Nürnberg
Thanks Günter
Isn't this Mosko gear just like a winter ski jack shell. I prefer the Adventure Spec which I own. Only issue I have is that I live in Canada and AS does not ship here. I had to ship to USA border and drive across to get it. Very strange they don't have a Canada shipping option even if I agree to pay for it.
I could definitely ski in the RAK. Only difference is abrasion resistance really
Good points 👍🏻 thanks
Adventure spec was on my list but they don’t ship to Canada.
Ah sorry
Robert, Klim makes the best riding gear in case you didn't know 😅
Haha i have little experience with Klim but I hear good things
Nice video 📹 Robert...it's good to see different colourways to boring black!. Both companies make good gear..I'm looking to get some Woodsman pants from Mosko, obviously that will need a waterproof over trousers. For Autumn, Winter etc my Klim Traverse are all day dry. It's funny, I'll buy a £ 10 fleece from the Country store, a £20 pair of jeans from the supermarket but will spend £500 on a pair of ADV trousers..😂😂! Ps..does your heated jacket work ok over your body armour...? Cheers Steve 💚
Haha indeed prices are mad 😊 the heated jacket works best under the armor but it compress really well so it works. Big difference from over the armor
Hi, lovely gear. You would spect goretex with the mosko trowsers for nearly €800. thanks , Gus
Well Goretex has changed a lot since the material was banned. Fortnine made a video about that
In my experience, eVent Expedition Fabric performs better than Gortex.
@ you are right Robert. I have a pair of Rukka trousers. They are very good but they have a few years, not new stuff.
772 euros for a pair of pants! Ridiculous!
Sorry but many brands are up in this region now. Not close to Klim Badlands etc. But yes, a lot of money
@ I boycott companies like Mosko Moto. Good but ridiculously overpriced. It’s the men’s equivalent to a Chanel bag!🤣😂
I have always used enduro pants for adventure riding. Costs 100 euros. I prefer changing clothes in camp to a dry pair of pants and ditching the boots for a pair of crocs anyway.
I agree way too expensive, and I don’t believe they are any better than brands that are more affordable.
Very informative and entertaining. I would love to hear your opinion on the other yank brand Klim.....
I will tell as soon as I have some experience. But Klim is a tough brand to charm 😊 Love the helmet though
It is waterproof because water stays on the outside. Just different material thank glossy nylon
As you say, no one outfit can do everything and I imagine off-road clothing can't take sliding along the tarmac for very long. 🤷🏼♂️
Very true. Cheers
Great Video. Help me choose my new riding equipment
Brighter skies indeed my friend
I went with combination of the two. Mosko Woodsman pant and AS Mongolia trail jacket, both made for dry warm/hot weather. Can't wait to put them to test upcoming season! :) I find jacket integrated protectors not comfortable though. What is the black protective jacket you are wearing this video may I ask Robert?
Thanks mate! Great to make your own combos. The armor is Knox Urban Pro
@@rbaldinger Thanks! Another great video btw! 👍
I would really like a video on intercom. We always struggle to connect and you seem to have good quality on yours. Do you all use the same brand?
Yes good idea. We have been using Sena so far but I have never been happy with them. Usually battery problems on mine. Will try Cardo next time.
Yes hard to try on for size when there are no dealers. Kneepads are Leatt 3DF 6.0 👍🏻
AS supershirt or Knox Urbane Pro MK3?
Knox 👍🏻 but would like to try the supershirt
@ Knox looks better for sure. Almost like a jacket. But supershirt has chest protector in addition and this peace of equipment should be only about protection in my opinion. Which bring me also to another hot competitor - rev it proteus. Maybe a good compromise between those two. I really dont ´t know which one to chose…
@ too many options 😊
The timeing of tgis vid... ive been struggleing with this decision for two days now :p
Best of luck!
Great video as always Robert!
I'm in the market for new motorcycle pants and thinking of going with adventure spec.
How is the sizing on the singletrack pant? Would you size up or down?
Cool. AS is true to size. 34 is what I expected and it fit well.
Great video as always. Do you already have video reviews for you under armour and knee pads?
Not yet! There are some reviews on the Nomad Sweden channel. I had the Knox Urban Pro for 5 years now and the pads are Leatt 3DF 6.0
Karin had not yet had the chance to eat surströmming which could make a nice video 🤣so maybe we will be up in sweden somewhere this year
@ yes I need to film that 😂🤢
@rbaldinger after the smell it taste not bad haha
👏 #solstice
Both are great products but you can get just as good stuff in EU.
Indeed. Both actually have EU warehouses.
@@MrBeardfacee
Ive found waterproof socks great, even on multiday trips.
Good luck.
Paul
@paulmullany7147 Thanks Paul! Good info =)
Det där ser ju mer ut som friluftskläder än MC kläder.
Ja vi har mycket gemensamt. Behöver bara extra skydd
Sorry to hear that. Also Brexit made things harder. I don’t buy from UK now because of tolls etc.
👍🏻🇨🇦
Both are farvto expensive
Indeed lot's of money. And it's not even the most expenvie. Look ad Klim Badlands..
Thank buddy. It’s great that these companies are developing and releasing more and better gear. But oh the headache to choose from all products now 😱
