That was my dream, waited so much to get my license, get an adventure bike and finally… finished at the hospital thanks to a car that “didn’t saw me” … all my dreams are dead now nearly 3 months of recovery and a deeply choked and wounded family. 😢I love bikes so much I don’t know how to live without it. Wish you the best bro 💪 ride safe
I'm so sorry to hear that bro and hope you're ok! I know it's easy for me to say and I can't imagine what you're going through but you don't have to let your dreams die, maybe they wont be how you initially imagined or they might have to change slightly but never stop dreaming. There's a guy I saw on Instagram called Luke Tarrant who comes to mind, he was doing a motorcycle tour through South America down to Antarctica and ended up losing his leg in an accident and after something like 6 months of recovery and nearly dying in the hospital due to complications he's slowly getting back and figuring out a way to ride again even without his left leg. I'm not sure if anything I said helps but I genuinely wish you all the best and sincerely hope you find a way to live your dreams 👊💪
Juuuuilian! What a freaking video! Stunning colour grading, editing of clips, the storytelling the colours the whole video is just a VIBE man! 🔥🔥 absolutely love it. You’ve killed it as I expected and can’t wait for the next episode 👌🙌
What a response....what gift! ✨️👌🏻 Epic video on all levels. Thank you🙏🏻 Big respect and all the love from another couple of bike riding dreamers here in the UK.
Yeeee, Europe travel is here! :) Great images, colors, editing! I really love the looks and aesthetics of your images. Looking forward to see how this adventure evolves!
What a video... some epic footage and even better editing. I've done something similar through Switzerland, Germany, France on my Hyper and the constant worry of the tail bag melting on the exhaust was a pain!
Thank you so much bro and yh its definitely a pain with high exhausts 😅 (usually mine not only melts my bags but also the inside of my leg but luckily for this trip I had motocross boots on which helped massively). Surprisingly though this bag held up so well, literally the only damage from the whole trip was what I showed in this video, if you remember from my wales trip the same thing happened with a different bag and it melted a massive hole into it.
I hope you are editing after your journey because I don’t think I would want to be camping in Europe during autumn. I was fortunate to spend 5 years working in Europe on major projects in The Netherlands, Germany and Denmark and after getting back onto two wheels in 2020 after 37 years without a bike, I made sure that my bikes ended up in Europe with me. The roads are pretty good in most places and I have taken on some epic rides, 5 countries in one day from Munich to Northamptonshire around 830 miles in 15 hours, then another journey of a similar mileage from Odense in Denmark to Northamptonshire in 19 hours. Those journeys were on a Triumph Tiger 900 rally pro, which was traded in for a speedmaster now that I am back in the UK. I think next year I need to set up a block of time and do a big European loop
Haha no definitely not editing whilst on the trip I'm back in the UK now and mate that sounds intense 830 miles in one day is A LOT, I do not envy you but hats off to you! And you have to organise a trip next year, there are so many amazing spots around Europe worth visiting 💯
Thanks mate! and this was my first time doing anything like this, not only travelling such a distance but also riding through mountains of this scale and not to mention undertaking a filming project of this size too haha But glad you enjoyed it and likewise all the best mate 👊
Pacing, narrative and production value is top tier. Thank you mate really appreciate it! It certainly has although the big window of opportunities is also filled with massive uncertainty but looking back at it I wouldn't have it any other way. Once again appreciate the support and glad that you enjoyed the video 🙌
Really enjoyed the video, looking forward to the rest of the series. Calimoto took you the longest way possible 🤣🤣🤣 You do know that's kind of the point of Calimoto right? 🤣To go via the twisties and stay off the main roads! That said, you can tell Calimoto to use motorways or major roads but not motorways, for each leg of your route. But if you're not looking to ride interesting back roads and instead just get from A to B quickly then do stick with Google Maps or Waze. But great video, great filming and editing, looking forward to more from you 👍
Hahaha I know I use it quite a bit in the UK and its fine, in this case I didnt want to take motorways either but it kept taking me through small towns and villages every 10mins which massively slowed me down and the roads weren't particularly great, not to mention that at one point it took me to a closed road due to road works (i know its not updated live so i dont blame it for this) but then when i turned around it took me on a 30min loop just to take me back to that road closure 😂😂😂 In Belgium at least, I actually found that Google maps with motorways deselected worked much better
Great Vid. I use calimoto when time is not an issue and i want to take back roads. Living in NL i travel all over Europe on my bike (CB500X) - find google maps avoiding highways is best app to get to a destination by a certain time - ensuring no surprises with road closures. Google Maps surprisingly finds some good roads.
Wonderful video and even better adventure! Talk about timing! I have been riding Off Road for the last 10 years or so (really since I was a kid and am now 62) Will never stop riding Off Road but have been excited to get riding again on the road…your video…well you have me thinking! LOL Still watching the video…you had Great Weather to start! Just went to your channel as well…awesome!

Damn looks like I literally just missed it then as this was filmed at the end of July. But thanks for this info, have made a note and hopefully will come back to check it out at some point in the future 😎🔥
Caio is an old friend of mine, watching from his share, amazing content and look forward to future episodes. Can’t say I am not jealous of your trip and choice of motorcycle, I am on a triumph 900 for now.
Thanks for watching the video and appreciate you checking it out from his share! Yeah Caio is an awesome guy and has been super supportive, crazy to think that this came about from me coming into his dealership one day to buy a bike! Also the Triumph 900 is awesome, assuming its the scrambler 900?
Wonderful adventure! I am riding to France this Friday. Just for a weekend this time, but I will try a part of TET. Which map did you use on your phone?
So throughout the trip I used Calimoto, Google maps and Waze with Waze being by far my favourite I just made sure to select to avoid motorways. Having said that for the TET you'll want to have a custom GPX file which you can use in something like Gaia or OsmAnd
Amazing vídeo, I watched from started to end in a blink of the eye. Recently I have took a 5k km trip from Portugal to Italy, solo and recording. It will be released soon. I have been many times in this rush to get to the sleeping site on time. 😂 Biggest lesson learned in the trip: plan a very slow pace, otherwise we can't enjoy and record nicely. Nice to meet you and the channel. I will be following next videos!
Amazing yeah this is something I need to learn and as you'll see from the other episodes, I dont 😂😂😂 unfortunately the ambitious/ optimistic mind set keeps kicking in and I think that i'll have more than enough time 😅
I knew this would be a banger from the bike choice alone 😂 Scrambler is phenomenal. You reckon its doable with a speed twin with a cheeky fly screen on? 😂
The Triumphs fuel tanks are not large 14 litres did you find that annoying I do and I’m not doing massive miles worst thing about my bike did you ever come close to running dry ? Just started watching so just asking looking forward to your trip 😊
Awesome I think I might have to go back and just do a brewery tour although not sure how that would work with riding a bike haha. But yeah I've drank Orval before and agreed its a great beer 💯
@@dream_o2w ok, sorry for the geek question (I spent a lot of time on trying to get it right): seems you either use ND filter or manual settings on the Action 4? which ones are they? and thanks again
@@SwitzeroRider all good, so with any camera if you're filming with a fixed shutter speed you typically will use ND filters as otherwise you risk over exposing the image particularly in brighter day time conditions. Goad trip , like the plan. Send your boss a thank you card. Personally I don’t like Calimoto but each to their own. I’ve git an XE that I took to the Balearic Islands via France and Spain a few years ago. A bit envious of your luggage what is it please.
Thanks really appreciate it. The Balearic Island look amazing, I've never been but will definitely have to visit them one day! I'm kind of with you when it comes to Calimoto on occasion I use it in the UK but not the biggest of fans of it although I decided to use it at the beginning of the trip (until I had enough of it haha) since I didn't want to be planning every route exactly to the tee and so preserving the element of surprise and discovery. Also the bags are the Waterproof Motorcycle Travel Bag from IronJias who are one of the sponsors of the trip and in all honesty I'm massively impressed by their quality and especially the fact that they're genuinely waterproof. I don't get anything out of it as it's not an affiliate link but I've got the link to their website in the description if you want to check it out 👊
Believe it or not but when I was young, in the 90s, I went on holiday to this campsite "Le roptai". My parents had a caravan there. That's so funny to see how it changed
Thanks and I know but I had a limited time and was travelling south to the alps and then the pyrenees however I'm planning to stop by the netherlands next year as I'll be riding up to Scandinavia
Very jealous and was in a similar situation recently only I had just bought a house that needs a massive renovation so have tackled that. Soon I will go 2up touring on my New Old K1200s BMW and probably stay on road. Something I have always wanted to do forever and life is to short. Have you cruise control fitted? Stay safe….
Go for it! As you say our time here is short and its so easy to get caught up in our everyday lives where we lose track of what we're really here to experience. And technically my bike has cruise control but it doesnt work so I did the whole journey without it 😅
So, France and Spain? Totally get it - sun, sea, wine, the whole dream package. But Belgium and Germany? Really? As a German, I’m just sitting here like, what is there to see? Our "nature" is 90% farmland, and the most exciting wildlife you’ll encounter is a cow chewing grass. And Belgium? A country that's basically one giant motorway service area? 🙃 The highlights basically boil down to: Belgium: "Oh look, fries and beer!" Germany: "Wow, a field. Oh wait, another field!" And let’s be honest, even for road trip fans, Germany doesn’t exactly scream adventure. Sure, we have some decent twisty roads in the Eifel, the Bergisches Land, or the Black Forest, but most of the time, it’s a straight drive through fields with an occasional tractor to spice things up. Exciting, right? 🙄 As a German, my travel bucket list has exactly one item left on it: Scotland. And why? Because nature there doesn’t politely sit by the roadside - it grabs you by the face, yells in your ear, and throws you into the Highlands with a gale-force wind! No boring pastures here - just Loch Ness, complete with a monster. The locals wear skirts (with pride!) and drink whisky like it’s water. Pure magic! 🏴 Long story short: I’d trade every square meter of farmland here for just one square foot of wild Scottish wilderness - and maybe a road with actual curves for once! 😄

Hi, amazing video. Inviting you to do a motorcycle trip In Indian Himalayas next summer. You will definitely love it here. Let me know if you are interested
I will upset a lot of people, but these kind of "inspirational/adventure" videos is the whats wrong with the current motorcycling. Good for the motorcycle industry though punter has to sell a kidney and remortgage the house thinking he otherwise will not have his dream "adventure". I did over 60k miles criss crossing europe over the period of six years while studying for my engineering degree living off rice and pasta. I did not need expensive bike, branded sponsored kit, london wage and especially a youtube channel. Had some spare time, some cash in hand, got on a bike and enjoyed the roads. More people need to do just that, instead of getting brain washed by these videos....
19:12 it’s not the circuit of Chimay at all. It literally says the name on top « Mettet »… Chimay is a road circuit (50km away from Mettet), so you can literally ride on it any day of the week. Are you thzt unprepared or is this whole video rage bait? 😂
Yep this is correct and I had the original circuit saved to my google maps but when I switched to cali moto this is where it took me, after being up since 5am and riding for 10+ hours I didnt realise at the time that its not the right place. Ironically this is the exact place i got fed up with using Cali moto as it took me on some extremely long routes constantly having to slow down to go through small villages

That's so cool, I had no idea that the campsite had been around for so long!
nice start of the trip
Thanks, much appreciated 🙌
Fantastic video. Love watching fellow motovloggers. L&S. looking forward to next video. Ride safe my friend 👍
Thank you mate massively appreciate the feedback and likewise bro 👊
Is that an XC or an XE ? Nice video mate!
Great video. A pitty you did not stop in Holland, but you can't have it all😀
Thanks and I know but I had a limited time and was travelling south to the alps and then the pyrenees however I'm planning to stop by the netherlands next year as I'll be riding up to Scandinavia
Greetings from Belgium
Very jealous and was in a similar situation recently only I had just bought a house that needs a massive renovation so have tackled that. Soon I will go 2up touring on my New Old K1200s BMW and probably stay on road. Something I have always wanted to do forever and life is to short. Have you cruise control fitted?
Stay safe….
Go for it! As you say our time here is short and its so easy to get caught up in our everyday lives where we lose track of what we're really here to experience. And technically my bike has cruise control but it doesnt work so I did the whole journey without it 😅
I wish I crossed your channel earlier because you were almost in my backyard.
Bit of a rush I hope you have more time later on 😊
😂😂 Soon we will meet somewhere during this adventure life
Piece of cake. Try doing a trip to mustang.
“Sometimes life throws you a curve ball” sounds familiar cuzzzzz
hahaha bro 😭😅
epic
Thank you J massively appreciate you watching 👊
10:54 it’s Bruges not Ghent, and it’s the prettiest city in Belgium
yh this was my bad i realised I miss typed it after i'd already posted the video
The highlights basically boil down to:
Belgium: "Oh look, fries and beer!"
Germany: "Wow, a field. Oh wait, another field!"
And let’s be honest, even for road trip fans, Germany doesn’t exactly scream adventure. Sure, we have some decent twisty roads in the Eifel, the Bergisches Land, or the Black Forest, but most of the time, it’s a straight drive through fields with an occasional tractor to spice things up. Exciting, right? 🙄
As a German, my travel bucket list has exactly one item left on it: Scotland. Pure magic! 🏴
Long story short: I’d trade every square meter of farmland here for just one square foot of wild Scottish wilderness - and maybe a road with actual curves for once! 😄
3:11 loctite on sparkplugs??? They should be torqued, nothing more.

Did anyone mentioned you resemble John Wick?
Well edited! Been working on my own riding-channel for a couple of months now and I know the work and effort it takes to make such video's. A like and subcribe from me for that!
Thank you and thats awesome to hear, bro it definitely takes up a lot of time but if it's your passion then you got to go for it man! Looking forward to seeing some of your videos 🔥
@@dream_o2w that's right! Currently don't own a bike because I sold mine a couple of weeks ago but will be picking my new Triumph Tiger 1200 (2013) in march.

Adolfus Sax.
I know I know (well now I do haha) but it was close enough 😅
Welcome to boring Belgium! 😅
Bro didnt even go to the cool countries in europe.
Too much talking. Focus on riding and Landscapes
