I never comment on anything but I just had to say I appreciate when you edit in the keycollector value and info on book for the key issues. Not seen anyone else do that. Thank you
Well, I greatly appreciate the comment and watching the videos!! And thanks for noticing the edits. I was hoping people would appreciate the key collector facts. 😊
Awesome pickup up bro! Night Nurse #1-amazing…if you have extra horror stuff…Brian, one of our clients will be by on Friday looking for horror…so hopefully you can make up some of your initial investment swiftly! See you Friday bro!
Hi Matt, even though you're Asleep Great video about Comic Collection Buy! What Will We Find??? Keep them coming, Also your latest video was outstanding, Also Superb Comic Collection, Also Justice League of America(1st series)#172(November ,1979), Also Nice Haul of Comics!!! 😎 Also Night Nurse Great find even in rough condition. Also thanks for sharing Matt keep up the good work stay safe out there in New Jersey have a good night and as always I'll see you on the next one.🙂💪🟢🦸🏋️🇺🇲🤩😁💯😀
One book that stands out is For Lovers Only 70 (the one you said looks like Elvis). It has a non-PC spanking panel inside. Yes, they sell pretty well. Most romance books do actually. Another book that stands out is the House of Secrets 103. Classic Wrightson cover. Give it a press maybe you can fix the back cover
@patriotcomics It might not be huge money but for a collector of the title it's a great addition and you could easily charge 50% more for the copy and it should move very quickly.
Where do you find comics like this?? Are these from a flea market or someone's just sitting around comics? I like that you get some that are not all in mint condition
I buy comic collections all over the place. Facebook marketplace, flea markets, word of mouth and really anywhere I can find them. But this one in particular I found online. Thanks for watching!
I had to watch when I saw the thumbnail. That Avengers 164 is the comic that kicked my collection. It was the first storyline I had bought all the issues of right off the spinner rack.
Low grade or not, that’s a pretty nice haul; I’d be happy with it. I’d say you overpaid but with that Night Nurse #1 being in there I think you did well.
@ I think my comment may have come across wrong. I meant it WOULD have been a bit of a high price to pay if that copy of Night Nurse wasn’t in there. Since it is I think you got a deal.
The Whitman books do not have the issue number on the cover. Back in the day I bought a few packs at a toy store and realized there was no number! If I had known those packs would be very coveted 40 years later, I would have bought all of them! LOL
Some very cool books there man ! Shame they never got bagged n boarded ? I can see why you paid a bit more,it was worth a shot bud,if you don't take a chance you'll never get a hit ?! Love house of secrets books, and Bernie Wrightson's art his use of light and shadow is in my opinion unmatched,so good ?
Given the aproaching or 50 year status of bronze age books, and the cheap paper they are printed on I'm amazed how many mid-high grade books are out there in the wild.
The secret of the Archie books is collectors want the innuendo covers! Those seem to sell the best! $250 for everything? That's hard to say given your expectations of the possibility of keys in the collection and unfortunately, not! If the books were in better condition? He probably would have charged more! But at the end of the day, at least you are happy finding some issues that you needed to complete a series! Overall, not bad!
The 70s were my sweet spot for comics because there were still multiple companies, art styles and genres! Nice haul, too bad there were no MADs , Warrens or Conans in the mix! And yeah, you'll make your money back easily because it doesn't sound like you're a price gouger trying to rip off fans of the era! " Keys" I can understand but outrageous priices for Doctor Graves? "F.O." to those greedy jerks!
Definitely overpaid unless they were just for your personal collection. If you’re selling then after cost and personal time to move them then you’re definitely in the red.
I absolutely agree! I may have seemed harsh on the condition of the books but I personally collect mostly lower grade comics. Can’t beat the affordability! Some people tend to be critical when they see me buy low grade books so I try to convey that I know they’re in bad condition..
3:55. Fun fact. My late friend, Steve "Chili" Rigot of the legendary Louisville, KY punk band the Endtables got his nickname from this obscure comic!
That’s awesome!
Great finds. That Night Nurse book is a ghost.
Thanks bro! Yeah , I’ve been to so many comic cons and shops and I’ve only seen it for sale maybe 5 times or less. I was really happy to snag one!

Thanks brother! And that’s great, I have tons of horror for sale!
Nice haul of comics!!! 😎
Thanks a bunch!!
Nice variety in that collection. Lower grade issues but nothing a clean and press won't fix. Bag and board them too 😄
Absolutely!! Thanks for watching!!
Night nurse #1 good for you
Thanks! I was happy to add it my collection!

I’m not too knowledgeable on the romance books. I appreciate the info! And I did end up pressing the house of secrets. It came out pretty nice!
Another that could be interesting is one of the Love and Romance...it was a UK copy @@patriotcomics
@@orvelorten5586 Oh nice! I didn’t realize that either.. lol

A good example of comics not being bagged & boarded but some interesting comics Matt, 2 fifty a comic ain't a bad price
Yeah exactly.. wish they were in better shape but I’m happy with the purchase. Thanks for watching!! 😊
Night Nurse! Great find, even in rough condition.
Thanks! I was very happy to finally add one to my collection!
House of Mystery 204 cover by Bernie Wrightson.
Awesome! I thought so. Thanks!!
I have the avengers on top of stack, since I was a kid
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
Bummer that Dark Shadows wasn't the 20 cent variant. 🖖
I have a bunch in my collection. I’ll have to see if I have any of those variants. Thanks!
@@patriotcomics only #13- #18 have 20 cent variants.
@ ok cool I’ll definitely check. Thanks again!

I smell a whatnot show coming
I think I might have to soon! My inventory is adding up!! lol
Really? I smell the mold of that one book.
@ so do I 😅😅

Absolutely! I agree. I’m always down for a little roll of the dice! lol. And yes, Wrightsons art is incredible!
cool. i used to buy random Bronze Age lots on eBay. just for fun.
That does sound fun! Nothing better than going through an unsearched collection!
no i would not have paid that much for that collection!
I appreciate your honesty.
Whitman does not put issue numbers on the covers. Never did.
I never noticed that until now. Thanks for the info! 👍👍
Two piles with fun comics. If nothing else, these are good reading copies. But how come Whitman published Batman?
Thanks! I absolutely agree! As for the Whitman, I’m honestly not too familiar with them. I’m going to have to look into them a little bit more.
Given the aproaching or 50 year status of bronze age books, and the cheap paper they are printed on I'm amazed how many mid-high grade books are out there in the wild.
Exactly! When I find higher grade Bronze Age , which is not often, I am absolutely amazed!! Thanks for watching!!

Half resell, half personal collection. But l hear ya. You win some you lose some. . I appreciate your honest feedback.
Stop putting them down , maybe they arent worth much in money but it has more historical value and sentimental value

@@patriotcomics Sorry that message was for another video...!
