I bought my house and the crawl space upstairs was wall to wall floor to ceiling packed with white boxes filled with comics….took me 3 days to remove them and sort them…still have most of them
Great video, would love to see more of these!
I second this
Agreed!!
I'll be happy to oblige!
Jesus Christ, man, I have almost all of these & the price points are spot-on for the more recent buys. Some of em I paid a LOT less 😅 but I never paid more than your suggested price. Great video!
Rock on man!!
Another great video. I think a lot of the problem is a lot of people need to quit trying to sell a raw book for the same price as a graded 9.8. You seem pretty grounded and reasonable on prices
Absolutely!
In 90s, during the hight of market explosion, in an odd twist the old Joker title sold for just a few bucks at shops and flea markets .A mint # 1 might have sold for 20 or 30 bucks then.
Yeah, best price points I’ve seen. These are real not ideal. I always appreciate how you bring some real talk to the buying and selling world.
Good to know! I definitely think Batman #423 deserves to be on this list. I've bought and sold that book numerous times. Strong price for a non 🔑. Still can't fault people for loving such an iconic cover.
That was fun to watch! I hope you make a part 2. I have most of these but need ti add Watchmen, and the Punisher to my PC! Oh and DD 181!
James, I wanted to compliment you on the excellent, crisp and clear content and delivery in this video. If you wrote a script, you did it well; if you were speaking off the cuff you were amazingly focused and confident. At any rate, great work!
Thanks for the amazing compliment! happy to do it!
Time for an indie tier list followup 😉
Yes please!
Great video! Concise and direct ! Waiting for more.
Loving the wholesome, and helpful video! must have taken a while to make this one
Excellent video. Really enjoyed this one. 🙂👍🏻
Awesome video!! Loved the content and I agree with your assessment of the comics. Keep up the great work. 😎
I have about 80% of those books bagged and boarded...I never had any of my comics graded but they are all pristine. My collection is Bronze/Modern..main focus 1978-1987-ish and then 1990-1995-ish..99% marvel
Maybe consider looking into getting some of them graded.
@@bandoogiemanz nah..i never cared to look into it. Its an emotional thing for me..not an investment BUT i did make sure to keep them al bagged andboarded (around 3,000 total) Whoever possesses my collection after i die will more than likely do that. Its not a money or investment thing for me. I simply loved comic books bitd (even though i dont even read them now..i havent cracked open a comic in 25 yrs maybe)..makes me feel good today when i walk past my long boxes..it brings me back. U cant put a price on that. No one can appreciate my personal collection like me so they wouldnt have a problem grading and selling them because there isnt an emotion connection to them like I have to them. I can tell when and where i bought each comic. I was hard core..my peak of hard core-ness being 1984 secret wars era and then infinity gaunlet era..i still get chills thinking of the anticipation i used to have waiting for that next secret wars issue to drop. Lately ive been working on filling gaps i had from bitd and also buying all the collections on DVD-ROM and put them on my ipad. I have pretty much every major marvel title complete collection on my ipad now and growing.
I enjoyed this video very much. Wouldn’t mind seeing more of these.
Another insightful video!!! Thank you!!!
You are so welcome!
Best video I've seen a while. Its interesting hearing what actually sells. You should do a video of independent books that do well, since most of these were Marvel and DC. Obviously they sell the best.
Wow thanks so much!
Love this format. Would like to see more. Thanks
More to come!
Good stuff and good info! Have about half of these!
Very well laid-out!
Another awesome video Brother. Thanks for sharing Your passion and adventures from Toronto Ontario Canada 😎👍♥️♥️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️✨️✨️📚📚📚📚📚✨️✨️💯💯💯💯💯✨️✨️✨️✨️
Yay go TO 🎉. Grew in North York until age 30, married and moved to Vancouver Island. But I get back there every year or two for a few months to visit my sisters and cousins. (and make repairs on the 1974 built family home)
Very interesting. Thanks!
Great video. On point
Not to change the subject: some books I never see at comic shops (that I believe would fly off the shelf). Alan Moore run on Swamp Thing, specifically 20 and 21.
Fun video! Keep this series going! I bet we see a certain character with a red cape from Image in the next video!
Awesome video. Surprised the Hush keys didn’t make it. Would be cool to see this again with like era specific comics. Like modern keys like uf4 or amazing spiderman 4 (silk).
Great video. I'm a new subscriber who is trying to start selling my overflowing collection and this is super helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
Fascinating! I have a good number of these comics, including that Omega Men Lobo (first appearance) issue. I started getting back into comics in the early Eighties and finally weaned myself off them sometime in the Twenty-Tens, so boxloads of the @#%$! things, including early translated manga series.
Not living in the USA means having any of them graded is out of the question, still, at a guess I'd put most of them in the "fine" category, but I'm assuming, based on what you're saying, they come under the heading of "raw".
I just two days ago found not one but two X Men annual 14 at Half Price Books for $1 each.
Very well done James (and what's with the name tag?). Nice to know I'm well represented as I have most of the books shown here. I particularly liked how you set up your chart. You've quickly become a vendor of note. I appreciate your insight and posts. Best to all.
We just went to Lamaze class lol
That was fun! I have a lot of these!!!
Now that's a nice wall!! Imagine the claim wall sale on that one!!
I've had claim sales just like this!
I’ve been trying to sell my comics I have couple of those higher end books from this video.Comic shops always try to rip me off tho and no one wants to buy all in once price
I've found that SW 1 value can fluctuate depending on if you have the print error version with blue Galactus. It tends to add an extra $50-$75 if you have the print error copy in high grade.
That copy is not rare in the slightest. MOST copies are the blue galactus “variant” it doesn’t impact the value, at least not at my sales
Im a little older and not too familiar with the claim sale format. But thats a nice looking “wall” of comics. I have about a third of them, many bought off the rack when they came out
Awesome video!
I came across a NM Darker Image in my LCS for $3. Also found a spine tic-ridden copy in my LCS' 50 cent bin. You can definitely find this book for under $5. Everything else is spot on! Good stuff!
So I’ve got 1 for ya!! I have a CGC graded 9.8 New Mutants 87, 1 st Cable that is a manufacturing error 1/2 of the interior pages printed without magenta ink.
But CGC gave it a qualified grade?? Not sure why they gave it a qualified grade? I always thought qualified grades were given to books that were missing something like a coupon or missing an interior page?? I just think it’s a true printing error
I have 48 of them. I think that’s pretty good lol. I think I’m going to look for that last Batman book. For some reason, I don’t have it and it is a great looking cover. Thanks for the video!
I could watch one of these every week! 😉
Man, you were throwing me off there by not mentioning some of the books that you put on the list. I thought I blacked out for a minute when I noticed that Elektra and Avengers 257 were there. Went back in the video and they just weren't talked about. Still, fun list!
I saw that too. Which Elektra is that?
I have 50% of these comics !! Great video
I'm having everything buried with me when I pass.
I just found my Spiderman where he first comes back from secret wars with the black suit, the pages are yellow as hell but it's still in good condition and i found the one where Spidey fought the trisentinal and became Captain universe.
I have a few of these, but the crown jewel of my collection is my full Pitt run, with the Malibu Sun 1st appearance. I'll be buried with those books before I sell them. 🤣🍺
This was actually great to actually see the value levels and the actual covers Themselves in a unique way and I Will bet that this particular System You've come up with will actually be e tremely benefitual to and at various types of Comic Auctions with Competitive Bidding and such gradually throughout the entire world,"Excellent Apraisal Tactics Entirely Expansively In actually Buying and Bidding For Comics In 2024 and Farther on." *😊*
Awesome video.
Nice video. Fairly accurate too. LOL.
Gotta love the super heroes, I have a few of those. The ones I'm most interested in are the obscure comics like early Gwar, faust love of the Damned 1- 13 and the #0 cadaver. Any thoughts on that kind of stuff.
Yeah, do that part 2!
I bought a small collection, about 2200 books bagged and boarded about 20 years ago for a few hundred bucks. I’ve let them sit in short/long boxes in a closet until recently. It’s incredible discovering the awesomeness of what’s in there! Thanks for the constant updates and information , it makes digging through these old books that much more exciting!!
That is awesome!
What was in there?!
What was in it?
Would love an update here
Curious about the gems in there.
Awesome list! Would like to see that part 2!
Awesome video as always James. You are the Goat when it comes to comics. If you all love comics, subscribe to the best channel😅 please do part 2 of this.
Out of curiosity, I have a number of these books as Facsimile editions. Now obviously they would never go for the same price and if I were to sell them I would absolutely mark them as "Facsimile" but do you see those reprints or any reprint doing good numbers ever?
Great video! Is there a reason the scarlet spider issue was skipped?
I always sold Amazing Spider-Man, Fantastic four and Uncanny X-Men on my Ebay. I think Amazing Spider-Man #316 always sells. Also Spawn 1 always sells
What's the name of this graph/chart app that you use here? I've seen other tubers you it. Ive been trying to find a demo on it on youtube.
Infinity Gauntlet 1…just started the video and paused. My prediction is that Venom Lethal Protector 1 is on the list. 🤞🏻
Aayoooo 6:19. Of course its on the list! 😊
minthunter is a favorite of mine of the comic book talking heads , I'm not going to subscribe but I do watch a lot .
Thanks man! I’m always here when you decide to subscribe!
good video, bro.
Glad you enjoyed
I tried selling Avengers Annual 7 and Batman the killing joke 1st Print, even omega men #3, all in Great condition and I can't even sell them, not sure why.
It all comes down to timing. When buyer, item, condition and price come together.
Great video. Does this go for Raws or Slabs? Obviously the $5-$10 books most wouldn’t slab unless they really liked it. Can you do a video on slabs that always sell? Ive been getting some books cleaned and slab to resell but im not having alot of success. They have value, but just not selling.
Seconded on a video like this for slabbed books. It's tough going selliing right now. What platforms are you trying to move your books on?
@@bandoogiemanz I mainly use eBay and Shortbox. I’m thinking of trying Instagram. Do you sell slabs?
It's not really fair putting Green lantern 85 into this list because it's silver age. It's significantly older than all of the other books on this list. If we start getting into that era we can put all of the Batman and Spider-Man books on the list also
That’s Bronze Age homey, and there were several bronze on this list
Love this video
A buddy of my just came across a collection of marvel from 1985 to 1990. Somewhere around 600+ comics. Im trying to fogure out if its worth making an offer and what that offer should be. Its got most of Todd Mcfarlens work. The first appearance of deadpool, cable, gotta go back and see if its got the Wolverine cover. The stuff he has is right in that era, so it's probably there. He's looking to sell to give to his ex whose brother died, who was the original owner. Im trying to find a fair price.
Damn, I gave away the Death of Superman issues and Darker Image. Have most of the others.
Hey where can we get this list? Love to have it
It would be nice to see separate videos for Marvel, DC, and Independent.
I "mudpudged" the cover of an extra copy of Ghost Rider #15 on my bedroom wall ... still glows in the dark after all those years hahahaha
sounds pretty cool! I have an X-Men Omega Red custom seat, I need to do a Ghost Rider
@@glenalienartist i made a spider-man and an X-Men "mudpodged" Ikea coffee tables 😅😜
So many other limited series like Dark knight returns, elseworlds, all star Superman and so on, sell very consistently
I have an Aussie variant printing of Incredible Hulk 377. I showed it on my channel about a week ago. I wonder how much it’s worth….
Moon Knight 1 is waaaaay down right now from 100 bucks, copies selling on ebay for like 20-40 dollars. I should actually probably pick one up!
In this video we're talking about minty copies. You find me a MINTY raw of Moon Knight 1 for 40 bucks? I'll buy 100 of em lol
That web 118 slipped out the video lol
I was waiting for ASM 300 hehe
Hafa adai Mint! Probably Your Best Video To Date! Could you please make more of these Types of Videos? “Enjoy The Chase! IslandJ
Wow! I'm glad you enjoyed!

What a great video
Did I miss web of Spider-Man 118? It got snuck in there.
Great video James. I was wondering have you heard about the guy that sent Spiderman 2099 CBCS 9.9 to get reholder and they regraded it and give it a 9.8 and he lost money on that book so i would never get a book reholded cause theu screwed him over.
That was wildly stupid of that person to do that lol
@@MintHunterComics he just wanted the new CBCS case and it cost him big time. I got a Spawn #5 German 9.9 and I will never send it to get reholded cause I know they will screw me over
@@jarredsmith9187 There was an update. He said cbcs is going to reimburse him the difference in price. Dave over on comic book investments did a video on it.
Can i get this in a pdf!?
You skipped describing Web of Spider-man at the $100 level.
I have or had about half of those books.
How can you make money selling a comic for $5 on eBay? I don’t consider comics worth my time unless they are worth at least $100, nice video!
That's a total flea market book, or setting up a con. I don't recommend wasting time with books under $10 on eBay. Some things sell better in other places then others, but these books ALWAYS move.
What isue is that $50 avengers u skipped over? Showed up on screen after first wonder woman and before lobo 7:45 time stamp
Perfect condition first app of Nebula
People don’t recognize the annual as first appearance of gambit cause it’s not! Does the story make sense ? No not unless it’s after 266. It’s about story not release date. Nuff said. Forgot to comment on the video. Great info. I buy most of these every time I see them. Lol. Keep the great videos coming.
got secret wars for 5 dollars issue 1
Just curious where would you place the savage she hulk no 1 on this list
In between $50 and $100
Nova #1 sells at $100.00 in NM - is there some kind of spec or something??? That's the hardest to believe, the other choices all seem right though.
So the funny thing about that is the fact that I rounded DOWN for this video on Nova lol. I've seen Minty copies sell for $200!!! Let's not forget that 9.8 copies are around $1,200 - $1,300...
And yes they confirmed Nova movie spec very recently
*_Swifties really want that Dazzler comic, slabbed, and they sure do pay a lot for it._*
*_For fun, do these same books, only slabbed in a CGC 9.8._*
More!
GI Joe Marvel #21 Silent Issue
Would you recommend slabbing any of these below $100 books?
Sometimes I’ll throw in a sub-$100 book at the end of a submission but usually I avoid slabbing items that will be worth under $80
Always easy titles to move.
I have a solid $1.00 comic.
I bid a dollar
These are fun videos, but there seems to be so many other ones that can go here too. How did you decide?
Honestly I just went with the ones on the top of my head - I decided to think about IMMEDIATE sellers. Meaning the SECOND I put these up on a claim sale wall they sell
Hulk 377...not a great seller for me. Dd ....echo...not great...especially with the recent price hike. Wolvie limited...nope...too expensive ...
Have a dd 168 in a 9.6.....nobody even looked at it.
Shazam 1...same...nobody wants it
Star wars 1.....100 dollar book when it was so much higher for years....criminal when 1st ahsoka is pulling in what it is. Had first joker for sale...no lookers
Punisher limited....no takers.....
Come to connecticut...your list doesn't hold up at all.
Marvel premiere 28 and green lantern 49 and batman 251
Wow that gl goes for 20 bucks? I find them for less all the time
