Congrats on the grail pick-up! $100 is very reasonable for the first issue. A lot of these books have come down to earth from the crazy highs from a few years ago and I feel now you can pick up these types of books for what 'feels right'.

Great pick-ups at that show. You owe it to yourself and Mickey Dolenz to send that book to CBCS have it graded and the signatures verified. You will amazed at what that comic would be worth then. 3 of the 4 have already passed on.
I also like that you tell us the price you paid. Most of the other UA-camrs don't bring up prices for stupid reasons. All of us watchers and followers want to know what's going on. Thank you for sharing. Love the display too. Great video.

I love your wall! Great stuff! The comics are also great! I'm lucky enough to have bought G.I. Joe #1 off the rack back in the day. I guess I should have bought 3 or 4 of them! It's always nice to finally get that book you've wanted for a time. A great feeling of accomplishment.

The Monkees book was a cool find. I would have taken a chance on that too. If the signatures are real then you got a nice valuable piece. I would send it in to CBCS for verification

Besides #1 the other notable G.I. Joe keys are #21 (silent issue) and #155 (final issue - very low print)

GI Joe came out in 1982 and it had $1.50 cover price. It’s the original 1st print that I have here.
@@patriotcomics why was it so expensive? This was the era I was first buying books off the rack and I can remember it going from 65 cents to 75 cents? I didn't have the first GI Joe so I don't know why it would have been that expensive
