The new transformers and energon universe stories by skybound comics and the rebooted IDW beast wars comics the ended prematurely when idw lost the license
Nothing from the modern era that's for sure... Complete and utter retcon trash... (Correction unless it's indie or maybe something not from the Duopoly)
Hard to say... I love Saga a lot. The Sandman series was amazing too. I loved the Krakoan era of X-Men. X-Men and Mutants are my primary love of Marvel.
Absolutely nothing makes me happier than him displaying his kids' artwork alongside accepted masterpieces. It tells you everything you need to know about David as a person.
He seems like an awesome guy. Loved him in late night with the devil. His comic collection is impressive. His admiration for his child's art is so sweet.
I had NO idea David was this huge of a comic geek/fan! I don't follow David's works per se but I ALWAYS enjoy watching anything he's a part in and now, I will most definitely be following his career! Can't wish nothing but the best because he just seems like such a genuine soul.
"One of the ship, one of the crew..." David face's been with me since I first saw him in The Dark Knight. I really liked him in The Last Voyage of the Demeter. Keep it coming, man!!!! Much success for you and your family!
David is the man of both worlds (DC and Marvel) living his nerdvana and it's an honor to have the chance to see his vast collection and how careful he is with his treasures. Plus, I've always wanted to see that wall of horror albums!!! 🖤🖤🖤 David, you're the best!!!!
I was a big fan before. But now he shared his comics I’m sold! Take my money please! He’s already a huge star in my opinion. But I see him being bigger. My love for comics came from me being sent into foster care at 10. And these stories got me through a lot prior to Forster care. Monster and fangoria magazine and my local movie theater! For 5 bucks i could go to see ghostbusters or Friday the 13th by myself my mom was a bartender for a mobster. The movies was literally across the street. But when i see things like this video it reminds me of my fantasy of escaping into my imagination. Thank you for sharing!
Mr. Dastmalchian's performance in _Prisoners_ still haunts me. Just a consummate actor. And generally cool guy - was in a panel he spoke at. So chill :-)
Bro I'm sure this isn't new, but I know for a fact this isn't easily common knowledge. This should be way more known! I love this actor even more now,he's one of us! He needs to advertise this more, not just words(cause every famous person swears they love comics), but really letting ppl know. Im so happy!
David and his wife Eve are some of the nicest people I have ever met. It's great that his reach is spreading in so many mediums. I remember some of the Chainsawman intros were on my playlist when I had them in my car, hope he gets around to that one in his manga journey.
David is fantastic! As a serious comic collector and pop culture fan myself, I recognize all his passions and concerns - I’d love to meet him one day. Great video thank you.
Count Crowley is so good! It captures such a unique and complex tone. There's an innocent enthusiasm for old horror movies, a bit of the grimy sordid feel of Creepy and Eerie magazines, some very real stuff about trauma and addiction, and a fast moving secret conspiracy. Love it!
Everyone should do themselves a favor and read Dastmalchian's “Count Crowley” comic. Most comics written (and “written”) by actors are undisguised movie pitches with the main character clearly played by the actor and they are always terrible. Not so with “Count Crowley.” It is superbly written and there aren’t any main characters that Dastmalchian could play. It’s the real deal, and so is he.
@@graydenday3760 that’s a great story. Really glad you’ve found inspiration and I hope this is something you and your son have a great time doing together
Been a fan of this man for a while, a truly understated talent. He’s been on an upward trajectory and I see that continuing. Very intriguing guy and great performer.
This was such a dream come true to watch!! I think everyone’s been curious about David’s collection of all sorts of horror and nerdy stuff. And the random trivia he offered kinda blew my mind too. I didn’t know anything about Jayne Mansfield until now 😂
He was absolutely outstanding in Late Night with The Devil. Perhaps not the conventional leading man by traditional standards but he’s someone that has great range and I hope to see him in more
There are few things more awesome than a comic book fan and collector who becomes a successful actor appearing in multiple movies and TV shows featuring the very characters he grew up reading about
This was awesome and he was such a great first guest! Joe Manganiello would be another good guest id like to see. Seems like a cool personality and he was great on Method Man's Marvel podcast i remember!
Talented actor. Good to see he's been able to work with some of the stuff he loved as a kid. Re. horror, been reading a bit of old Creepy magazine myself.
As a kid, I collected superhero comics. I had so so many plastic boxes on a lot of shelves filled with these comics. When I became a teen, I started to feel insecure about having a room filled with comics. Like it wasn’t cool and I had to grow up, so I sold them all. Now as an adult, it still is one of my biggest regrets. Now, I fully embrace my inner and now outer nerd 🖤😊😊
I don't know about that David, I would buy a Kurt Bubble Bath Bottle if Marvel had the guts to make one. Side note, this was brilliant, please keep doing these, and props for being such a great host.
Yes I love this thank you Kevin just saw the first episode this morning. Nicolas Cage would being amazing episode I'm sure you thought of a thousand times
The part about making sure draculas dirt was real was funny !!!! If you got a certificate, then it’s real!!!! lol I’m with DAVID on this one! 😁😁😁💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
It would be a tough one to get (since they are so busy) but Getting Samuel L. Jackson to talk about his love of comics (Ironically he's a DC guy!) or Method Man (The Ticallion Stallion!). Supposedly MM has over 300K comics and still goes to the same shop to pick his up. You might do a shoot with MM in his LCS and talk about his love growing from that shop. As alwasy support your LCS!
You could also try to get Maisie Williams (Arya Stark AND a Dr. Who Alum!) who's a supposedly huge webhead or Adrianne Curry (1st winner of America's Next Top Model) who's a avid comic fan, and cosplayer...
Peeped the Warhammer Combat Patrols. Necrons, and couldn't quite make out the bottom one. I know he D&Ds, and he comic books and he warhammers? One of us indeed.
Great vid about a fantastic talent (big DD fan), but was annoyed by the lack of attention to Dastmalchian's Famous Monsters of Filmland collection, there. It looked like at several points during he was turning toward it, but the mention maybe got edited out? Again, fun video nonetheless.
Other suggestions for possible interviewees in the "One of Us" series: Patton Oswalt Felicia Day Deborah Ann Woll Joe Manganiello Henry Cavill Babydaddy (from Scissor Sisters) Guillermo del Toro David Harbour Stephen Colbert Janelle Monáe Seth Rogen Rahul Kohli

Nothing? Really?
This guy had a rough life and really came back and became a seriously underrated actor. Love him so much.
Same 🖤
Man he's so good. I didn't even remember he was and TDK and that scene is awesome
Why did he have a rough life?
Meeting david would be a dream. On my bucket list if I could ever go to a con.

Mr Dastmalchian you are a treasure sir thank you so much for sharing your haven with us❤

Not only that, but a double dipper of both worlds, was in the Dark Knight and the Suicide Squad, and was 2 different characters in the Antman trilogy.
He was also in the show called gotham which was basically a show about a gotham befor batman @cable7152
Late Night with The Devil was an incredible movie. So glad people are finally watching it.

I love this guy. Late night devil is the first movie I was excited about in a long time and it's cos of David.
I've had one encounter with David last year. He struck me as being truly authentic, earnest and vulnerable. .. great interview!
He deserves all the success. He's a lovely guy and creative as hell.
Jeeez , fathers like David are much needed!!!!!

A family, a cool collection, and getting to do his dream jobs in performance and art! Congratulations, David!
It’s so awesome when you can see that the people making art for us are ALSO comic book consumers.
How cool is that? 😊

Another good celebrity comic is "Get Jiro" by Anthony Bourdain
I liked the BZRKR comics written by Keanu Reeves.
Àlso, liked the Spider Man comics that JJ Abrams did with his son. Inspired me to write a comic with my son.

How have I only just come across this channel this is AMAZING!
Hes so underrated! Late night with the devil is one of my favorite horror movies now 🔥
Big fan of David. After seeing him in The Dark Knight I felt he would absolutely kill as a villain! Can't wait to see what he does.
How can you not love this guy? Phenomenal actor too!
Amazing first episode. Kirk Hammett would be a great person to visit, he’s so passionate about collecting.
One of today’s actors I just love from the first time I see him. Defo one who’s work I’ll always watch.
Great episode. We love his movies and will for his comic books. By the way, great vinyl. Extremely rare items on that wall.
He's super proud of his kids, which I consider a mark of a truly good person.
So cool
If he comes to Chile I will pay for his drinks! What an absolute quality of a person, it represents what a comic book lover is.
Love all of it, but my favourite has to be the Remco Monsters collection!! So cool...
Awesome actor. Love all his work.

Love to see that David is one of us ^^
Great interview and an all round great production! ⭐
Amazing! Such a great look into a truly personal collection.
Love this! Love that he’s a fan! Makes me admire him even more.

Would have been nice to have seen more comics in his collection.
Love it! More to come.
I didn't know him at the time, because he was a couple years older than me, but we went to the same high school. Overland Park, KS, baby.
David Dastamalchian the G.O.A.T
David would LOVE Dandadan
What if he's not into anime?
@youtubedj9298 he mentioned he's been getting more into anime because of his son and has talked about his favorite animes in other interviews.
I have those Warren necklaces they awesomely cheesy. I didn't realize he was so involved with comics.
My Mr. 3! I really hope you’ll be able to build a collection of one piece too.
Great episode with my favourite actor. Do an interview with Corey Taylor from Slipknot!
Very underrated actor . Late night was great.
