      Thank you. Look at the sequel 14.5 suppressor shootout too. My buddy in the video and I were shooting the other day and he change his mind, as someone with so many suppressors might do, no surprise, to go with the KGM R30 for his Sig rattler SBR being his primary home self-defense firearm. He decided he wanted something a wee bit shorter than the best sounding suppressor. More maneuverable.

      I don’t have any surefire suppressors, but if you look at my 14.5 suppressor video there is the Q Full Nelson, not sure how that compares to a trash panda. However, I’ve looked inside of two different trash pandas and see completely different baffle stacks, so I don’t know what to expect from a trash panda to begin with.

    I originally bought a Wolfman for my POF SMGPK (SP5k clone) and B&T APC9K Pro. I ended up procrastinating and not finishing up my paperwork to start the "in jail waiting" process lol.....well now I'm moving towards 300blk and away from 9mm PCC's. I was bummed when the ffl wouldn't let me switch the Wolfman for something else.....However, it seems like it's going to do just fine with my 8.3" 300blk build according to your chart! New sub here who just ordered one each of the Lahar-30 and the L model this past weekend so your vid popped into my feed alongside other reviews and I’m delighted with your findings!
    The L will get a KeyMo mount for rotation on my rifles and the standard will direct thread on my Maxim PDX (once I crank the blast deflector off and void my warranty) for suppressed .300BO home defense.

Don’t miss that deeper into the video. There is a specific comparison of the 30 and the 30L. My thoughts… Both suppressors are really great choices. I tend to lean towards compactness for mobility at the sacrifice of some decibels so for me, I would reach for the 30.

    • @sureshottactical5403
      @sureshottactical5403  5 місяців тому

      I am certainly not the authority on what the industry defines as hard use but my opinion is a mag dump is a hard use as well as full auto. Whether it is sub, or Super certainly has some bearing, but I personally would not treat it differently. Said differently if I am rapid firing and not shooting slowly and methodically, I call that hard use.

    I would appreciate your HELP.
    I bought a Daniel Defense 300 SBR.
    Cost is not the most important criteria, as long as the added cost is justified.
    Gun performance and equipment longevity is the most important criteria.

    This was a great video man.I’ve been chasing the same thing for awhile now. I’m a 07/02 and have the luxury of getting cans a lot faster but still haven’t been satisfied with 300blk cans! Seems like all videos can be misleading as the mics do effect the video sound. Just got the Enticer S and it’s not gonna cut it. The SilencerCo Scythe TI has me interested but it is short.Pew Science data shows the Full Nelson as one of the best but you tested so the Hyperion was the best so far right? Have you any plans to try the Scythe? Thanks for the great info!

      Thank you. I did a follow up video with 14.5 cans. It’s on my UA-cam channel. The Full Nelson is in it. That can is discontinued. If you need one contact me via email. It’s a good balance of sound reduction and hard use. If it’s all about sound, with no concern for size, and not hard use, the Hyperion or Hydrogen L are best.

      @preacherbiggin 2 місяці тому

      The YHM R9 does fantastic on 300 blk. Even better on a 350 legend. It will surprise you on a 6.5 creedmoor. And is pretty decent on the 8.6 blk too.

    • @ecobasetech4558
      @ecobasetech4558 Місяць тому

      @@preacherbiggin I have tried out my R9 on 2 16" barreled PCCs running 147gr subsonic ammo and I have to say that I am not impressed. I don't know if I just had too high of expectations because I had never heard suppressed shooting in person or if it's because I'm shooting from 16" barrels and therefore the subs are going super because of the longer barrel length but it did not sound really any quieter to me than shooting unsuppressed.
      Now someone who was present told me the he had the same issue with his suppressor (I don't remember what he had. It might have been a sandman) and he told me that I need to just shoot it a lot and let the carbon build up and by doing that, it will start sounding quieter. Also, keep in mind that I was using active hearing protection so I also am not sure if maybe my hearing protection was "reamplifying" the sound signature? Any idea if there is any truth to what I was told about the suppressor needing to have carbon build up before it actually sounds quiet?
      Another disappointment is I also tried running it on my PSA Dagger. Now the good news is it actually did sound noticeably quiet BUT, it does not cycle. And yes, I am using a nielsen/piston device. Though I just recently realized that maybe I'm suppose to be using some kind of lubrication and turns out from my research that yes, I'm supposed to use something called "white lightning grease"? Anyway, I will try that the next time I go shooting and hope that helps with the cycling.

    • @preacherbiggin
      @preacherbiggin Місяць тому

      @ecobasetech4558 id say you are most likely running into your ammo becoming supersonic because of your barrel length. Subs in my 5" pcc sound amazingly quiet. No hearing protection at all. On my glock model 45 shooting 147gr and 150gr is insanely quiet as well and functions flawlessly. How many rounds have you run with the can on the Dagger and how many rounds have you run in total on the Dagger itself as a whole? Are you getting ZERO cycling with the can on the Dagger? OR just the occasional cycling issue?

      You're thinking of the Helios QD. The Hyperion was designed specifically for an 18" 260 Remington AR10 and a 6.75" 300 Blackout machine gun. Breacher Custom has a video of using the Hyperion on a 7.5" semi auto 308 firing supersonic ammo. Blackout will never be abusive enough to matter, and during torture testing on 18" 260 Remington AR10 the Hyperion had zero baffle erosion even after 12,800rds of Nexus 136gr 260 Remington.
