The Lahar 30 on 556... I believe you. I have an AB Suppressors A-10 or Thunderbolt for my 300blk and 6.5Cr. I ran it at the range for 1st shots on a new 18" 556 build, and it had an oddly deep tone while being noticeably quieter than two other guys at the next station trying out their brand new (2x$) 556 cans. This lead to a group of about 10 of us doing a can round-about. I had to play it down as there were more guys upset by this than not. What does, "Yeah, but it's a 30 can," mean when it is quieter? For $450.... I was going to get 556 cans, but I am done. If you have the chance to test this can, I think you should. The baffle strategy is something of a Tesla Valve, where the gas velocity is re-directed, rather than just slowed, to clash with itself. Back pressure is fairly light. I know everyone brags on their can, but this is not that. I think they stumbled onto something, and I have no idea why that can is not hotter than free biscuits. I'll lend you mine, if there is way of doing it.

I have a Daniel Defense MK12 and your setup is interesting. Philosopy of use seems to be emergency overwatch and emergency poor mans varmit hunting. Its not the rifle I would use if theres a danger of a Grizzly Bear crashing through my tent at 3AM in the morning.. or tactical room clearing all day. More of a jack of all trades master of none. But she has Knights Armament RIS modularity, the trigger out of the box is incredible, and she can hit almost as hard as the 20 inch Colt A4.

I came here to see what was quieter. Well im not sure i hear more talking than shooting.

Very interesting! My same suppressor was stuck at Remington while in for repairs when they went through bankruptcy. Got the parts back from them at some point and they then sat in my safe for years partially disassembled. I had no idea how to take that thing down I thought it was a total loss. Decided to dig it out and reach out to AAC last week on a whim. Glad I did. I sent it in for repair, they charged me $185 shipped to rebuild it and send it back to me. They turned the work around in a couple days. Just picked it up today. Feels heavier, I wonder if they put more steel baffles in it? Without any adapter it weighs 9.1 oz. Also I now cannot get the end cap off with my tool, I think they used red threadlocker on it. Either way I am excited to shoot it. Honestly I hope that I never have to disassemble this thing ever again, what a pain. If it gets dirty enough and the performance degrades I will just send it back to them for maintenance. Thanks for this video, you solved the mystery for me on how that can is constructed!
