The name of the Album was Sailing the Seas of Cheese , so the Nacho's were a prop to the Album cover art . They're pronounced Pr(eye)mus . Lot of folks get it wrong at first . They were huge back in the 90's .
look at the cover for this album, it will change your mind about _cheese_ then rewatch this and you will understand why bob was so excited about those amazing *nachos*
I saw this band open up for Rush in Raleigh NC in 1991. They were touring for this album Sailing the Seas of Cheese. And then Rush came on the stage. It was magical.
I saw Primus and Fishbone at the Hollywood Palladium. They all played together at the end of the show. NUTZ!! You should listen to Fishbone's entire "Reality Of My Surroundings" album: KILLER!
I saw Frog Brigade with Les and Fish Fisher. At the end of the show I asked a roadie to grab me the set list on the ground and on it was a cartoon drawing that Les made of a Frog saying "Colonel Schmernal, I'm here to see Fish Fisher".
Well, technically he's tapping the bass, but this groove is undeniable! This was the song that initially hooked me back in the early 90's! You weren't even born yet. (God I feel old! 😿😜😂)
That guitar riff always reminded me of a siren, not sure if that was the intention but it adds an eerie vibe to the song. RIP to whoever jerry was :( gotta check out John the Fisherman next Primus is the shit
Primus has had some amazing drummers over the years. Sounds like 3 different brain functions at the same time. Every limb is playing something different crzy. AS lot like Danny Carey style.
My sister, it’s good to hear you’re doing a review promise is a progressive rock man that just is that crazy. Everything about him is crazy Les Claypool is that he is the man on the base and you should also do the song DMV bye primus
Rush and Primus (pronounced pry-muss) two of the greatest all time 3 piece bands. Just saw Primus open up for slayer at the final Slayer show a few months back. They were both excellent. Primus actually played a little rush medley in there.
i literally love this video. scribe you can see when there is musicianship inside of a song and thats the coolest thing ever because not alot of people can do this simple thing... react to My Name is Mudd!!!!
You as a young artist must be aware of Madonna, right? She got huge with her "Like a virgin" album and what does this have to do with Primus? Well her producer at the time, the legendary Nile Rodgers took her apart and said "We can make your album sound like every other album which is in the charts right now, OR we can record it in a trio set up with a real life drummer, bass player and myself on guitar which will make your album sound really powerful and make it stick out like a sore thumb." Madonna, of course went with the second option and Rodgers was right, because it was an album recorded in a power trio set up and there were no drum machines and very little keyboards, it made people go "This is different, I LIKE this!" Do not underestimate the power of just three instruments. I wish today's artists would start working with real musicians again, do away with the computers and Autotune, have it be real.
A lot of primus reactors mention that Les and Brian are awesome but Larry is hella talented too. he rocked with on a freaking banjo solo. With a damn banjo! Can't remember the song name. I just know it as, "incredibly hot on here today." And Les says, "Larr, banjy boy" and Larry does a great banjo solo. And made a banjo solo sound good!
Those were some hella faces you were making... just curious do you make those type faces when listening to other types of music..do you make those faces of serious interest when listening to the music you make?? Or are those faces reserved for certain types of music...
ua-cam.com/users/DGMLiveHQ Here's King Crimson's channel. I recommend everything from the "Three Of A Perfect Pair" album, specifically "Industry" and "Lark's Tongues In Aspic Part 3"!!
On certain if not most Primus songs their guitarist Larry “Ler” LaLonde adds just as much to their songs as Les Claypool does on bass, as much as Primus wouldn’t be Primus without Les Claypool it wouldn’t be Primus without Ler either.
Nice reaction video, one of my favorite UA-camrs ever. Love your album and it would make me really happy if you listened to John the Fisherman by Primus. 👏
Primus sucks. 😊 BTW.. Pri-mus, Pri as bye or die.. You know like Prymus. 👍 Please react to the band INFECTED RAIN and the song MOLD(official video) It's a song for all the keyboard-warriors and trolls out there in the world.🙂 Thanks.🤗 Be safe.👍🇺🇸🇩🇰👍
Your shirt matches the paint Anyway, you’d better review ‘Tommy the Cat’ by Primus or I’ll be sad. Wink. Oops - you did. And you loved it. Sorry. You’re a bit intimidating. But you are also fykkin cool.
Nice reaction. The inside joke with Primus and their fans is they say, "Primus Sucks."(pronounced prime-us) Which they don't. Les Claypool is one Hell of a bassplayer. I just dived into the Primus rabbit hole myself. You should watch their live Woodstock video footage. But, watch the official video, not the live one, for Wynona's Big Brown Beaver. It is hilarious!!!
It WAS an inside joke up until likr 10-15 years ago. Now that everybody knows it and shouts it all the time, I hear that Les and the rest are kind of sick of it.
ScribeCash, here is a taste of this Japanese band, the Wagakki Band. ua-cam.com/video/fcucbhJ-Orc/v-deo.html Check this video out and if you like this video you can do a reaction video or two from their other songs.
Primus are probably the illegitimate children of Joe Walsh - the humor and musical creativity are too similar for them not to be... $C, for the original purveyors of this underground funk-rock, take Creative Warrior777 suggestion and plug into Fishbone (they're from San Bernardino) - "Reality Of My Surroundings" just crushes it!! ...however, "Party At Ground Zero" (mid '80s) is where to start with Fishbone.
I've been enjoying your Primus reactions. I offered a few suggestions after your last one. "Electric Uncle Sam" is another. One request also though. PLEASE stop calling them, "Pree-mus"! Thanks😁
You are releasing albums and love all genres, but don't know if a bass is tapping or slapping. You should be able to know the most popular bass techniques.
I haven't read this anywhere, but I'm pretty sure Les Claypool (lead singer and bass slapper) was a person who did some methamphetamine..... I used to do that shit back in the 90's and it was insane!!! Anywho, I think the album is called "Sailing the Seas of Cheese".... So, just like "pot" and "weed" are other names of marijuana, "CHEESE" is another name for meth/speed.... Anywho…..that's why he's so fucking sweaty....that shit does that to you.....hahahaha.... Oh yeah.....it's 'my opinion' that watching PRIMUS LIVE is waaaaay better than the official studio/album versions.....once again my opinion, but you get the complete "feel" when you see them live..... Keep On Rockin' in the Free World!!!!!!
Lea claypool, the bassist and lead singer, I have heard been called the Willy Wonka of rock. Fits him. One of the best bassist ever put on this earth. PRIMUS SUCKS! ✌👊
Welcome to the weird, wild, wicked, and demented world of Primus.

Primus sucks! And I can’t get enough of them!🤘
Are we demented?
I was working at that track when they filmed the races.

"To Many Puppies "
Every time I drop my nachos this song instantly starts playing!
My Name is Mud - Primus next!
I saw this band open up for Rush in Raleigh NC in 1991. They were touring for this album Sailing the Seas of Cheese. And then Rush came on the stage. It was magical.
What a time to be alive: Rush and Primus is heaven on Earth for me.
Ms. ScribeCash, I believe you may have perfect pitch.
I saw Primus and Fishbone at the Hollywood Palladium. They all played together at the end of the show. NUTZ!! You should listen to Fishbone's entire "Reality Of My Surroundings" album: KILLER!
and "Truth Or Soul"!
I saw Frog Brigade with Les and Fish Fisher. At the end of the show I asked a roadie to grab me the set list on the ground and on it was a cartoon drawing that Les made of a Frog saying "Colonel Schmernal, I'm here to see Fish Fisher".
I was at the same show. Very cool.
I think I was at that show also. Did fishbone call a guy out for reading the newspaper?
Primus and Fishbone together? Please tell me somebody recorded that
You're killing it. Can't wait to hear your new album.
Well, technically he's tapping the bass, but this groove is undeniable! This was the song that initially hooked me back in the early 90's! You weren't even born yet. (God I feel old! 😿😜😂)
If you haven't heard it yet, check out King Crimson's "Elephant Talk". The groove on that is very similar.
@@johntomasik1555 I'm a massive King Crimson fan! Tony Levin is positively incredible!!!
That was shot at my hometown venue called the Phoenix in Petaluma, Ca. Many primus shows there over the years!
