I’m 58, I have been a musician for 50 years. I saw all this stuff live and have followed this bass player from the beginning. Please watch “shake hands with beef” next. I love watching you guys react to the music I have loved for decades
I shared your vid with Jay Lane, the drummer. He is a buddy of mine and he really appreciated the shout out. He said everyone always concentrates on Les, the bass player.
As a diehard Primushead… here are my personal favs: -Harold Of The Rocks - Last Salmon Man -Bob - My Name Is Mud - Ms Baileen - Professor Nuttbutter's House Of Treats - Welcome To This World
It’s “Pry- Muss” lol Les Claypool is the best slap bassist there is! Those Damned Blue Collar Tweakers at Woodstock is amazing! I’m in the pit stage left! 🤘#PrimusSucks
Lionel Arthur Fluxington idk what you’re asking. This video was from Bonaroo and Woodstock was in 1994. I def don’t remember a set list from 25 years ago.
I love the combination of confusion and enjoyment listening to Primus the first time. Primus is so amazing it takes a bit of time to even comprehend what you're listing to but its shear brilliance.
Any Primus song is good to react to... I'll name few : Jerry was a race car driver - Lacquor head - Shake hands with Beef, - Harold of the rocks... The choice is yours :))
Rush and Primus connection.....Primus opened for Rush on tour in 1992, and since then the bassist has crossed paths with the prog legends many times. In 2006, Claypool performed at Rush's Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame induction, and last year, Geddy Lee sat in with the Claypool Lennon Delirium in Toronto.
In case you were wondering about the lyrics. “Well, I remember as it were a meal ago Said Tommy the Cat as he reeled back to clear whatever foreign matter May have nestled its way into his mighty throat Many a fat alley rat had met its demise while staring point blank down The cavernous barrel of this awesome prowling machine Truly a wonder of nature this urban predator Tommy the Cat had many a story to tell But it was a rare occasion such as this that he did She came slidin' down the alleyway like butter drippin' off a hot biscuit The aroma, the mean scent, was enough to arouse suspicion in even the Oldest of tigers that hung around the hot spot in those days The sight was beyond belief Many a head snapped for double--even triple--takes as this vivacious Feline made her her way into the delta of the alleyway where the most Virile of the young tabbies were known to hang out They hung in droves Such a multitude of masculinity could only be found in one place And that was O'Malley's Alley The air was thick with cat calls (no pun intended) But not even a muscle in her neck did twitch as she sauntered up into The heart of the alleyway She knew what she wanted She was lookin' for that stud bull She was looking for that he cat And that was me Tommy the Cat is my name and I say unto thee Say, baby, do you want to lay down with me? Say, baby, do you want to lay down by my side? Ah, baby, do you want to lay down with me? Say, baby? Say, baby?”
I’ve seen people say that her reactions are fake. Nope... she feels. She feels it right on the surface-can’t help but be carried away by her emotions... It’s beautiful😌
You probably have heard them but didn't know it. They wrote the opening music to South Park and were also in the battle of the bands in Bill and Teds Bogus Journey
I’ve subscribed based on this video...As an old school Primus fan, I bid you welcome, dear new sister! NEXT Primus song is called, “pick ANY of them,” lol...”Tragedy’s A Comin” is straight...”American Life” is a tight classic BUT FIRST....”Lee Van Cleef”!!!
Hello, new to your channel. Primus is def one of my fav bands...the lead singer/bassist(Les Claypool) is one of the most unique and funkiest bass players ever. Most people listen to Primus for the music and not the lyrics. Glad you enjoyed it!!
As someone who grew up in the Bay Area where their from, I've been to more Primus shows than I can count in the 90's. No matter how many times I've been, they were amazing each and every time. Couple of song suggestions: Too Many Puppies, Bob, My Name is Mud, and definitely DMV!
The first time I heard of them was in concert. They were the warm up for Rush. You talk about a badass concert. Two of the very best bassist's and the greatest drummer. Check out Mr Kringle, my name is mud or southbound pachyderm.
Listening to PRIMUS for the first time is an epiphany, there's just nothing like it, watch the official video of "LAQUERHEAD" then watch the live version, tight doesn't describe it....
Great reaction and channel. Most you tubers are deluded, especially musically. But you are so talented and I wish u all the luck in the world. Keep going cus you are so good
I recommended this video to you a few months ago, I’m so glad you finally checked it out! I knew you would like it! Check out “Jerry Was A Race Car Driver” and “Winona’s Big Brown Beaver.” The bassist Les Claypool had auditioned for Metallica. They turned him down because they felt he was too talented for them.
I love that you finally reached Primus. My fav band ever. This version of the song is good but for now you are just in the presence of the tip of an unsurmountable iceberg of amazing and weird and dark and funky and absolutely unique proportions. Primus is the most unique band there is. I'd recommend something for you to react to but I just wanna witness where this river of mud takes you. Peace!
Primus played with Tool during their 2015 tour. Saw them live at Monster Mash, Halloween. Best. Concert. Ever. You should check out Jerry Was A Racecar Driver and Wynona's Big Brown Beaver next.
This was a very "live" version.Check out the studio version sometime if you want a frame of reference, cuz the guitar & bass solos are a little different & the way he raps the intro is alot more coherent so you can make out the storyline.
I've loved primus for at least 30 years glad to see new fans being made
I've seen a lot of reactions to this video but yours is the correct one.
Lol
LMAO correct
True words, sir!
Yup
Absolutely. I’ll love this reaction.
Your reaction and obvious infatuation with Primus just got you a new subscriber. Keep on rockin’, love.
NOW you got the FUNK!!!
THERE ARE NO BAD PRIMUS SONGS!!!
No one sucks as good as Primus!
Absolutely correct
PRIMUS SUCKS!
Jill's on Smack (Live version)...is one of my favorites from the band.
4 Years ago. Damn. I still watch this reaction religiously. One of the best reactions to one of the best songs.
PRIMUS is one of the most overlooked band ever. Try "Wynonnas big brown Beaver", "Shake hands with beef", or my favorite, "My name is mud".
American Life at this same performance... I was at this show!!! Still "eeeeeee"!!!
really dude ween sucks in my opinion but Mr Bungle and Mike Patton in general are amazing
Also need to check out "Fizzle Fry" and "Mr.Krinkle" 🤘 PRIMUS SUCKS
I’m 58, I have been a musician for 50 years. I saw all this stuff live and have followed this bass player from the beginning. Please watch “shake hands with beef” next. I love watching you guys react to the music I have loved for decades

Geddy Lee from Rush is his idol bro. Best bassist ever
Shayne Cullen can’t find the lie.
The intro for this video was Those Damned Blue Collar Tweekers, did they play it after?
Lionel Arthur Fluxington idk what you’re asking. This video was from Bonaroo and Woodstock was in 1994. I def don’t remember a set list from 25 years ago.
PRIMUS SUCKS!
a smile from start to finish...thats Primus
I love the combination of confusion and enjoyment listening to Primus the first time. Primus is so amazing it takes a bit of time to even comprehend what you're listing to but its shear brilliance.
At the 5:30 mark, TheRealScribe realizes she is listening to a genius on bass guitar.
Another live Primus “Those damned blue-collared tweekers.” Live from Woodstock 1995
I second that!
This man is playing one of the hardest slap bass lines I have ever seen and singing at the same time
One of the best bassist of all time. Period.
Enjoy your Primus journey! Glad you found them.
Amazing beautifully change of you during the first 35 seconds of this song.
I know this is old but this is my favorite reaction to primus on UA-cam.
Best Primus reaction ever!
Any Primus song is good to react to... I'll name few : Jerry was a race car driver - Lacquor head - Shake hands with Beef, - Harold of the rocks... The choice is yours :))
Harold of the rocks gets over looked too much

Now you know. Awesome reaction, thanks for sharing! :)
In case you were wondering about the lyrics.
“Well, I remember as it were a meal ago
Said Tommy the Cat as he reeled back to clear whatever foreign matter
May have nestled its way into his mighty throat
Many a fat alley rat had met its demise while staring point blank down
The cavernous barrel of this awesome prowling machine
Truly a wonder of nature this urban predator
Tommy the Cat had many a story to tell
But it was a rare occasion such as this that he did
She came slidin' down the alleyway like butter drippin' off a hot biscuit
The aroma, the mean scent, was enough to arouse suspicion in even the
Oldest of tigers that hung around the hot spot in those days
The sight was beyond belief
Many a head snapped for double--even triple--takes as this vivacious
Feline made her her way into the delta of the alleyway where the most
Virile of the young tabbies were known to hang out
They hung in droves
Such a multitude of masculinity could only be found in one place
And that was O'Malley's Alley
The air was thick with cat calls (no pun intended)
But not even a muscle in her neck did twitch as she sauntered up into
The heart of the alleyway
She knew what she wanted
She was lookin' for that stud bull
She was looking for that he cat
And that was me
Tommy the Cat is my name and I say unto thee
Say, baby, do you want to lay down with me?
Say, baby, do you want to lay down by my side?
Ah, baby, do you want to lay down with me?
Say, baby?
Say, baby?”
SAY BABY !!!!!
watching people discover Primus will never get old. Same with watching them go further down the Claypool hole.
This was SO FUN TO WATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your reaction is the very best I’ve ever seen ❤
Didn't know that they were this good live. :)

Their song "Shake Hands With Beef" is crazy funky!
You probably have heard them but didn't know it. They wrote the opening music to South Park and were also in the battle of the bands in Bill and Teds Bogus Journey
Primus aged a lot better than most 90's bands
You either get this or you don't. You get it and I'm proud of you.
Primus transcends all musical genres. Their talent is way off the scale of believability. Pure musical genius!
That was absolutely totally fire. So much fire!🤘👏🤪😍
