- What I eat in a day from my pantry is what I will be sharing with you today. I love to eat from my pantry, freezer and fridge. It's an easy way to not only save money but it's an easy way to build your meals. Pantry meals are so fun so be creative and save money too! These meals are all starch solution compliant and full of flavor. I will be showing you breakfast, lunch, dinner and a dessert all from my pantry, freezer and fridge . Here is what you will need to make these starch solution compliant pantry meals
BREAKFAST
Fruit and granola
I just threw in the fruits I had available. I defrosted frozen peaches and strawberries and placed in a bowl. Then I cut up an apple and 1/2 banana, added some black berries and blueberries and topped with granola.

LUNCH
Fiesta chickpea sandwich, fries and veggies
Ingredients for sandwich
1 can chickpeas rinsed and drained
finely chopped onion and celery
Mexican fiesta seasoning
salt and pepper to taste
mayo 2-4 Tablespoons to taste
2 slices toasted bread (I use lil northern bakehouse gluten free brand)
2 slices tomatoes
lettuce
Instructions:
Add chickpeas to a bowl and mash leaving some chickpeas whole, add mayo 2-3 T and mix add onion and celery and a bit more mayo and seasonings and a pinch of salt and pepper if you want and mix. Add chickpea mixture to one side of your toasted bread add lettuce and tomato.
Ingredients for the fries
2 russet potatoes cut into fry shape, Season with the Fiesta seasoning and air fry 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
Sauce for fries. mix equal parts mayo and ketchup and a bit of the fiesta seasoning..
Add a side of any veggies you like and add some of the fiesta seasoning.

DINNER
BBQ tofu bowl
Ingredients:
one package extra firm tofu pressed for 30 minutes
BBQ marinade (recipe below)
defrosted frozen roasted corn
chopped red pepper
red onion chopped
celery chopped
chopped cherry tomatoes
rice warm
spring mix or any lettuce
Instructions:
Cut the tofu block in half and then into sticks
Add to a preheated pan you should hear a sizzle. Add the tofu and leave a tiny space in between each and cook on all four sides for 5 minutes each. If tofu sticks let it cook a little longer. You want a nice golden color. With the pan on medium heat add the BBQ sauce and move the tofu around to get all sides coated and let cook for a couple of minutes while you are doing this. When most of the sauce is absorbed by the tofu you are done.
Cube up about 4 sticks of tofu and add to a large bowl and add the rest of the ingredients and top with your favorite BBQ sauce.
BBQ marinade recipe
1/4 cup of any no oil BBQ sauce
2 T apple cider vinegar
2 clove minced garlic
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp onion powder
Mix all ingredients together and set aside.

I did make a couple of changes to the original recipe. I topped with granola instead of pecans
and I melted 1/4 cup of monk fruit sweetened chocolate chips and spread a very thin layer on top before the granola

I'm so glad I found your channel! When I first became whole food plant based four years ago, I was following Dr Fuhrman & Dr Greiger's plans. They are so fussy & overwhelming to do on a daily basis. (Did I get in my daily dozen, my GBOMBS, 90 minutes of exercise a day, combine this food with that food?) Dr McDougall makes it so easy & simple. I already tried you French Dressing. This is so 💯 spot on. Once in awhile a more time consuming recipe will do but on the daily it needs to be quick & simple. This is also key for ppl trying to convert to WFPB & will help keep them on track. 💚
oh my gosh……. me too! im in this exact boat! i started off vegan on the Eat to Live diet. it was way too difficult to sustain. boring food. always hungry. couldnt eat anything unless i made it at home. now, im on mcdougalls diet and feel so satisfied every time i eat. if i have a craving i most likely can eat that food in some way shape or form. thank you dougall!! and thank u chew on vegan for these yummy meals!!
@@sarashalash561 I had the same experience and he does not want you eating snacks and says it’s ok to feel hungry. Dr. McDougall says eat until satisfied and eat when you are hungry. I lost 60 lbs and kept it off doing McDougall maximum weight loss 50/50 plate.

The chickpeas sandwich looks good. I put my chickpeas in the food processor and pulse it several times before adding the other ingredients. Game changer! No icky skins! Thank you for sharing ❤️

I often do a few pieces of chopped up fruit for a little fruit salad for breakfast. I just love the sweetness and that it doesn't fill you up. That breakfast has my name all over it. I swear, there is something about a chickpea salad sandwich that makes me feel like I am having something naughty. I could eat that sandwich every day. I love russet potato fries too. I can just sit there and eat one after the other until I have eaten 4-5 russet potatoes worth. Your fries look yummy. Lunch was sweet!!! Ok now that dinner bowl was a winner for sure. All those beautiful colors and fun textures and tastes. Wow. Ok, I have Greger's book and never made those brownies so I am going to look at that for sure. Thanks for the tip. Don't you just love eating this way? Great job on the meals in this video. Pantry meals all the way.

Pantry meals. Thank you Debi! Love sandwiches. Salad sandwiches. Use Ezekiel low Na. Avo, nutritional yeast, grated carrots and piled high with arugula and power greens. Add a halved scallion. Actually micro bread 30 sec for a softer, appealing texture. Yum! Will try mashed garbanzos next time.
